PO Needs to Be Resent

I created a PO, but there was a document error and need to resend it for approval. How would I do this?
I also tried to cancel the PO, but since the approval status is "in process" I can't do that either.

You need check action history and find out who has this PO currently
From the notification summary screen you will get "Try Reserving again" option and then "Retry" option using which the PO can be approved. You can also retry from the workflow administrator homepage. It works fine
If all these does not work then reset the PO status to Incomplete and reforward

That's because your brother failed to turn off iMessage before switching to a different phone. He will need to fix that. The only thing that you can do to avoid the problem is turn off iMessage.

we have to print off a hard copy, then scan it and email it out.
We cannot just send a new email copy directly. We would like to have the ability to re-send an email copy of the PO directly.

How to handle Undelivered messages when the Target Application is down

in our scenario,
sapEccSystem>OuboundProxy>PI>ReceiverAdapter>ReceiverThirdPartyApplication
the known issue with the ReceiverThirdPartyApplication is, it gets down in frequent intervals, and automatically gets up and running, but we don't know at what times it will be down and when it will be up again.
in this asynch scenario, when the scenario gets triggered from source SAP system, and at that time, if the receiverAppl is up, it is working fine.
but when the scenario gets triggered from source SAP system and at that time if the receiverAppl is down, the message exchange gets failed
to address these kinds of issues,
1. is their any concept of Queuing or anything in PI, that can keep the messages in something like Queues and process them when the receiver application gets up., if yes how can configure them
Does PI act as Queuing server, so that it delivers the pending messages one ofter another, until they are all finally sent.
or
2.is there any retry mechanism, where can specify something like, the undelivered message needs to be resent after waiting for an hour.

Hi, the number of retries and the retry interval are modifiable java system parameters of the [Service SAP XI Adapter: XI|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/29/22ee41c334c717e10000000a155106/content.htm], check section Properties Related to Outbound Processing. You can change these properties in NWA of PI under Configuration Management -> Infrastructure -> Java System Properties -> Services -> XPI Adapter: XI. The screen in the bottom with the heading Extended Details displays the adapter's service property.
I found these properties in oss Note 730870 - FAQ XI 3.0/ PI 7.0/ PI 7.1/ PI 7.11/ PI 7.2/ 7.3 RFC Adapter, under Q3, when doing research on another topic.

HP5L prints 2 bad pages before a good one

I have an old HP5L black and white laserjet printer purchased in ~1997 (maybe I should not be cheap and upgrade!). It has developed an issue printing on the first couple sheets.
It is a HP Laserjet 5L Xtra, Model C3941A.
It will no longer print a self-diagnostic sheet. After holding the button, the middle light will light once, then the yellow light will light once, and then the bottom light illuminates again, and nothing happens. I pulled the printer cable and removed the memory card and tried again (after cycling the power) and no change.
If I send a file to the printer from any application (I'm in Windows 7), it sends out two pages that look similar to what is attached (there's almost a jagged looking attempt at the first line at the top of the sheet), and then will print the file perfect on the third sheet. And by that, it prints all three sheets (the two bad and then the good one) from one print command. It does not need to be resent. Just eats up paper.
If something else is sent in quick succession, it will also print out fine. It's almost like the printer has to warm up and then it's ok.
I happened to decide it was time to reformat and reload everything from setup files on my computer a couple weeks ago thinking maybe a side benefit would be this problem would go away as something might have gotten corrupt after many years and was sending junk tothe printer. Nope.
The printer is currently connected through a USB to parallel port adapting cable, but did the same thing when using the parallel port.
Any ideas on what to try? The printer still makes good prints after the first two sheets come out, but it is really annoying.

Hi George,
At this stage you have your table across 4 pages. You have not said if you are using portrait or landscape for printing but it doesn't matter.
When you click on a table it is selected and the ABC and 123 Column and row titles appear, when the table is not selected they disappear. As you seem to have only one table it's going to appear as selected all the time.
When the table is selected there are tags on the top right, bottom left and bottom right of the table which you can drag backward and forwards to make more or less rows and columns the tag bottom right does both rows and columns at once. You can also select by clicking on the ABC / 123 titles and use > Edit > Delete.
It sounds far more complicated than it is, remember the tables are graphics not an excel type grid.
The Inspector and tool bar have all the tools you require although some are repeated on the format bar.
Numbers is best used for multiple tables on multiple sheets not single monolithic grids.
The help option is great too.

Can I stop the output of PO message on change of order but not on creating

Can I set customising so that the PO automatically creates a message on creation of the order, but not when it is changed. That way the purchaser can choose to recreate the message if necessary. Sometimes changes are made to the order for internal purposes, but the order does not need to be resent to the Vendor. Currently this happens automatically via an email.
Alternatively, is it possible to print the whole PO when changes are made rather than just the bits that have been changed? To avoid confusing the Vendor with half the order being resent.

This is not possible on standard SAP. There is a workaround you can consider so user can reprint the entire PO. When users have made the changes and ready to print the PO, they can go to PO message screen and do the followings:
1. Delete the entry corresponds to change message (this is the row with yellow light and has check mark in the C column)
2. Select the row corresponds to the first printing of PO (this is the row with now check mark in the C column) and press on repeat output.
Once they've done these steps, the entire PO will be included in the output.
If you need to make this happened automatically, you will need to do custom development.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to send mutliple messages in PI? I have hundreds of messages which need to be resent (they were already successful) I know the way to resend successful messages now as I read up on another blog, but that only allows you to send one at a time.
Does anyone know how to send many messages at once? Something like a mass upload tool that takes many xml messages and then sends them through the integration and adapter engine again?

It depends on your sender system type. If it is a SAP R/3 system and you are trying to send idocs, then there is a way.

Inconsistent Wireless Transmit Rate?

Just for the heck of it this morning, I've checked the transmit rate on my MBP (late-2006). I found the rate to be fluctuating by the minutes between 100mbps - 130mbp, sometime it may go even lower, and my wife's MacBook is staying consistent at 130mbps. Both machines are located in the same room.
Notes:
* Router is AEBS (on 802.11n 2.4Ghz band, not simultaneous dual-band model).
* Recently added a new PS3 sitting next to the AEBS and it has bluetooh accessories. The PS3 is off, but can be powered on by bluetooth remote.
* My MBP is using bluetooh Magic Mouse.

Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology share spectrum and, more often than not, will be found co-located in close physical proximity to each other ... like your case with the PS3 & AEBS adjacent to each other. However, both are inherently resistant to other wireless devices by virtue of their use of spread spectrum techniques. As such, both will tend to fail gracefully in the presence of interference. This means that their communication protocols are very robust and include mechanisms for error checking and correcting, as well as requesting that corrupted packets be resent. Therefore the result of increasing levels of interference typically shows up as a slowing of the data rate as more packets need to be resent. In extreme conditions, such as setting a Bluetooth enabled cell phone next to an operating microwave oven, is it very likely that communications will cease altogether.
What you are seeing this may be related. Why this affects your MBP and not the MacBook could be the antenna design/placement in both of these laptops are just different enough to make the MBP more susceptible.

Using Lotus Notes with Acrobat Pro 9

We need some help on trying to achieve somthing that may or may not be possible. Our goal is for employess to use an Adobe pdf form (purchase requistion), fill it out on line, click "Submit", and have that action open up our Lotus Notes e-mail system permititng the employee to send the req to appropiate approvers found in the company Notes email system. Is this doable, and if so, how? Right now, the button ony permits sending the pdf form back tot he person who created it. I am also interested in learning how we can allow our approvers to have the ability to forward a message with the attached pdf form and send it to other recipients.

You are better off putting the form on the web and having script to process the informaiton and send it to the people who need the information on the form. The form need not be resent or emailed.

"No signal" on DisplayPort after turning screen off.

I've encountered a strange error with my new monitor / graphics card.
If I leave the computer on the monitor goes idle - and wakes up when i move the mouse / touch the keyboard (as expected).
But if I turn of the monitor by pressing the power button (on the monitor) I can't wake it up again - the monitor reports "DisplayPort: No signal" and then goes idle.
I've tried:
* "hard" rebooting the screen (unplugging the power)
* Switching between different TTYs and X (I know I'm in X and the computer is responding)
* Restarting X (switching to TTY1 -> Ctrl-C and then run startx)
* Unplugging the DP-cable and plug it back in
* Plugin a DVI-cable instead of DP
Any suggestions on what to search for / what could cause this problem?
The monitor is a: ASUS PB278
My graphic card is a: XFX Radeon HD7770

I know this is very old but in case someone else has this same issue as I did the fix was actually rather simple when you realize the problem. DisplayPort has a weird issue regardless of the monitor because some motherboards stop sending the signal when the monitor is turned off due to a "power saver" feature in the monitors.
I have an HP Monitor that had this issue and I found out that Samsung also has something similar when it comes to their monitors. I don't know about ASUS but I think it is safe to assume that it might be an issue with DisplayPort itself rather than the manufacturers.
Here are the solutions I found, this forces the monitor to use the original signal so it doesn't need to be resent to the monitor.
HP:
Monitor Menu -> Source Detection -> Low Power (Power Saver) -> change to "Always Active".
Samsung:
Monitor Menu -> Setup & Reset -> Magic Return -> off
ASUS: (not tested, just a hypothesis)
Monitor Menu -> System Settings -> ECO Mode -> turn off

Everything seems to be far more complicated than necessary. I have verified all the required steps iTunes has required to submit an alterantive email, now the security questions do not seem to matich up.......furstration!! Now how do I get those reset? I followed the alternative email steps, read the phrases that others submitted, yet again statements seem to be repeated and I am not looking to redo my ID or password, God forbid!

I restored my bookmarks from a resent .json file, but one folder is now empty and one is missing.

Because of reasons my computer needed to be refreshed. My old firefox profile folder was saved though, and with that the bookmarkbackups. As the title says I restored my bookmarks from a resent .json file, but one folder (containing probably about a hundred bookmarks) is now empty and one other is missing completely.
In some places I have a 5 levels deep folder structure for my bookmarks, but since the folders missing are from different levels I don't think this is the problem.
The now empty folder contained six or seven other folders, that in turn contained a lot of bookmarks with titles including non-alphanumerical characters. †?|&*()<-/., to be precise. However, if I restore a very old .json (from september 2013) the folders are present and contain the mentioned bookmarks - albeit much fewer, since the file is old. A few other bookmarks still present also contain the mentioned characters, so this is probably not the problem either.
The folder that is completely missing just contained a lot of bookmarks that were to be sorted.
When opening the more recent .json files (I have a whole month of automatic backups to choose from) in the firefox scratchpad it would seem that the bookmarks are missing alltogether, so I suppose that there is not much to do about it (please correct me if I'm wrong), but I definitely want to report the bug.
Is there anything at all to do about it?

If the bookmarks aren't present in the JSON backup then it is likely that you got a corrupted places.sqlite file at some time that caused the backup not working properly.
Did you try all the backups?
Note that the xxxx part of the bookmarks-####-##-##_xxxx.json file name shows the number of bookmarks in the file.

How to Viewing all Resent messages selecting a list of messages using advanced selection criteria

Hi have two questions both belong to same category so combined into one Please answer separately i really appreciate your time and the communites help.
I am using Single stack 7.31, Scenario ECC-->PI-->JMS(WMS)
1) A message got failed in PI mapping (mapping issue) while resending that message from messsage monitoring it goes through ESR and gets successfully posted in WMS.....
my Question is: "Is it possible to view every single message that has been resent from message minitoring(the number of time it has been resent not important) i know we can see by looking at the start time and end time difference.....but i want to see the complete list of everything resent???
2)We have a functionality User Defined Criteria in message monitoring, suppose i am filtering on the basis of idoc numbers, in a real time scenario where i have a list of some 100+ idoc numbers messages that failed in WMS(not in PI i.e status is successfull) i need to filter based on idoc number and resend them....can i filter a large list of idoc numbers not manually....though....how can i import or filter based on a long list??

under the message details, you have got additional selection options like duration was edited etc.. and even you can sort them based on duration. That might help you in getting the list.
However why don't you apply the filter when they are in error state which way you'll have all the failed message ID's and the details that your looking for?
