PO output language

Hi,
I have set up the language as EN for output type ERS in the condition records. And I see the same in the invoice too. But my output is in German. What other factors can influence the language of the output?

Hi,
Generally language is maitained at company code level. For the plant in Germany can maitain german language at output type level for print out purpose.Create new out put type and give desired language in this regard. In your case though the document is showing in english language and printing in German means, you might have selected the out put type with germen language. To get the german language in print out though the document is in english language can do changes in smart form. Please check in that aspect also. I hope this will work. Thanking you.

how to change the output language for sapscript, in transaction ME23N ( purchase order ), using print preview or sending output to spool, please ? The sapscript code differs from language to language, but by default the English version is taken ?

Hi,
You can change the Message output language and can get the particular printout.
If not you can give print out in debug mode and change the ekko-spars parameter value your required language in call function OPEN_FORM .
Language value should be 1 char in this.
Ex: EN -> E, DE-> D.

F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST output language change

Hi experts,
I am buidling an internal table data in english language but when I click F4 on the specified field at run time , I am getting output pop-up data in different language seems like korean.
Even the return code from 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' is zero i.e success.
What could be the possible error or is it related to any Unicode check?

Hi deepesh,
Just check the table from which your fetching data into internal table is having any language key fields, if there the pass sy-langu and fetch the required data only.
There is noting like language in the function module, it all depends upon the data what you are fetching.
Just give the screen field and the table name so that we can look and comment

Output language of SD documents according to Sales organization

I have a situation where two companies use same partners. Trouble is that each company needs documents printed in own language. For example company 1 wants English language and company 2 Czech language.
Communication language of partner is on general data and can be only one. Now the language is set to English which means that for company 1 language is determined correctly. Same partner is open for company 2 but also with English language. If company 2 wants to print documents in different language, they must manually change language in output settings. Because users usually forget to change language, documents are printed in wrong language and they must repeat printing.
Is it possible with program to overwrite language in output settings ? I have in mind reading a table with fields Sales organization, Customer number, Language. Language would be read from this table and put in output.
What user-exit to use and what tables, fields to update ?

I have two output types - each sales org. has own.
In condition record for output type I don't have language entered. When output is determined language is taken from customer. And here I have problem - language is ok for one company but not for other. I would like also for other company automatically assign correct language. On customer master data language is common data for all sales organiizations.

Set the Web Service output Language

Hi,
I have created (exposed) a web service based on a ABAP function module.
Among the output data there are some values which are correctly translated
in the login language (ITA or ENG) if I use the SAP GUI to test the function.
On the contrary, if I use the "Web Service Navigator" the same data are returned
in German Language. How can I change this behaviour ? How Can I do to return
these parameters in a choosen language (like ITA or ENG)?

Inventory Management (ME) output language can be language dependent?

I'm using ME21n + MIGO to post Goods Returning documents - SAP creates Material Documents of type 161. So far I haven't been able do generate a language-dependent output in MIGO:
- When I leave the language field of the condition record empty, the output is always in the local language;
- When I fill this field with any language, SAP will create an output in that language;
What I need is to create an output based on the supplier's communication language (the supplier being of course the one used to create the Goods Returning document in ME21n ).
Any clues?

Hello,
The radio button "Payment adv. after..... lines" is used for "Indicator that determines that a payment advice note is to be printed if more items are paid than there is space fo in the form"
To activate this one, you need to select "restricted to" radio button with number of ROWS you are allowed in "Note to payee lines on the form" area. Then the "Payment adv. after.... lines" get activate and accordingly you can select.

Output Language in Global Address Cleansing

Hi,
How can the DQ Global Address Transform be restricted to give all the out put field values in English text?
Even though the input text is in English, DQ transform gives the address field in Non English characters as its a Hungarian address.
Is there a way to force it to give in English only?

How to reset report output back to default language.

Hello Everyone,
I am working on 11i to R12 up-gradation process.
I need to move some reports from 11i to R12 and resolve bugs which report faces after shifting.
I am working on one report of output type : PDF named 'Delivery Note Report' in SCM-Order Management,
It is a RDF with template report and not XML publisher(there is no separate RTF).
RDF template is prepared with English text.
In 11i report output comes in EN-US(Standard English) language
whereas in R12 it is coming in Kenyan language.
I need to set output language to default EN-US, how can I proceed ?

Hello Experts,
I checked user preferences : it is set to EN-US
I checked concurrent program language details : it is American English
I got to know about a file named : uifont.ali (present in middle tier /ora/R12/apps/tech_st/10.1.2/guicommon/tk/admin)
it contains PDF:subset section in it we can specify the particular language/font in which we want output of our report.
I tried replacing this section with default language and restarted report server, even I tried removing that file from middle tier(just for testing purpose).
Can anyone suggest any other approach as still the issue exist.

Language for mail smartforms in SRM

We are on SRM 5.0SP11.
Technical scenario is classic and the business scenarios in question are
1. Sourcing with Bid Invitation &
2. Supplier self registration
We are interested in mail communication to vendors in two events.
1. When the Bid Invitation is created or changed.
2. When the user ID and password is created for a new bidder contact person.
For Sr. no.1 mail the smart form is BBP_OUTPUT_COVER
The standard language is English.
We want to change it to local language.
1.Is there any setting in smartforms by which we can change the output language
directly?
2. what is the form for sr.no 2

Hi Dinesh,
1. You should create an own smartform, e.g. ZBBP_OUTPUT_COVER (based on BBP_OUTPUT_COVER), whenever you have logged in using your local language.
In the transaction SMARTFORMS, at Global Settings/Form Attributes/General attributes choose Translate
"Into all Languages".
2. use the smartform BBP_UM

SD invoice in different language

Hi Friends,
I tried to keep two versions of invoice output, one in English and the other one in Spanish.
Here is what I did,
1.In Smartform,Copy English invoice_EN to generate another Invoice_SP. Then go to newly created Invoice_SP and change it's text parts into Spanish.
2.copy current output type (TPEN) to generate new output type(TPSP) In V/30, at the same place,under sub dialog structure "processing ratlines",maintain its "PDF/SmartForm Form "to "Invoice_SP".
Invoice still display English after above steps done. Strangely,after I change* TPEN*'s " PDF/SmartForm Form" to Invoice_SP, then invoice will display Spanish text. Obviously, default invoice output TPEN is chose automatically when print command performed.
My question is, when I print invoice, how should I configure the setting so the end users will have two options to print it in either Eng or Spanisn?

The print language of the output is determined either by the language defined in the output record or, if it does not exist, by the communication language of the partner to which the output is addressed. This output language also determines the language of the form which belongs to the output type.

Multi-language in smartforms

Hi Experts
I have an requirement in smartforms in which I have to use more than a Language. ie., My logon language is EN and I want to Display a smartform with ENGLISH and THAI, without changing the logon language. If anyone has done / got a solution please do reply.

What I did after my posting is something like this:-
Translated my text elements to different language Chinese in SE63( I am passing Text elements to Smart form FM from print program). If my Multi-langu flag is on, then I read the non Latin text elements by setting SET LANGUAGE lg.
After reading my text once again set the language back to EN to read remaining text SET LANGUAGE as EN. pass the text elements (lets say TXT-Chinese) and TEXT-english to the Smart form FM.
Important thing is to set the output language parameter in control options of Smart form = "Chinese" = '1'. Call the SF and output you will see both English and Chinese data.
The english text is printed if there is no Chinese translated values.
If I want to print "Product" I will set Txt-101 = Product and I also want to print chinees translated stuff "XXXXXX" so I translate it in SE63.
In my print program I read the same text element 2 times one by seting language as EN and other time by setting lang as Chinees.
Store these text elements read data in 2 variables and pass it to Smart form, also set the smart form language as Chinees in the control structure and pass to FM. It will print both.
I know this is not perfect solution but it works for Chinese. Now the new issue I am facing is it does not work for Thai. I mean it works but the whole smartform output goes beyond the page limits and also the formatting is gone. it doesn't look close to the expected page.
Any suggestions ??

Selecting Input Language

I have developed a project in VB6. I connect to the Oracle database whit the Initialization Parameter set to:
nls_language:AMERICAN
nls_territory:AMERICA
When I connected throught OO4O, the results for decimal number appears with comma(like 12,78).
When I conncet throught OraOLEDB provider the results appear with dot (like12.78).
Can anybody tell me what can i do if I need results in format (12.78) but the connection is established in OO4O

Language control for Goods Receipt Slips from MIGO

Hi All,
We are trying to print a Goods Receipt in Finnish via MIGO.
The Finnish version of the SAPScript form exists and is active, the corresponding Plant language is set to Finnish, and we are logged on in Finnish. When we perform the Goods Receipt, the form prints in English.
The entry on NAST, the message table, is generated with an English Language Key.
I am sure there must be a setting, or combination of settings which control the form output language, but have been unable to track it down (I am an ABAP developer with limited knowledge of config).
Can anybody help?

Thank you for that suggestion - I couldn't create entries in MN21 because they already existed, but you got me to the right place.
Under MN22, I found that the printouts for these documents were all set to EN, so I just removed the language key.
They now print in the logon language, which is what we need (might be English or Finnish).

Multilngual Braille Output available for Snow Leopard

Hello all,
My package for Braille output in languages other than U.S. English is now available for Snow Leopard. It's very easy to install, and allows uncontracted Braille to be shown on your refreshable Braille display using your own language's dotcodes.
The languages are Danish, French, German, Greek/Coptic, Hebrew, Norwegian, Russian and US Unicode (which gives the non-Latin languages). They are available as a free .dmg download from CeciMac. The site is in French, but don't worry, the Multilingual Braille package is the only .dmg download link on the home page. The installer is localised in French and English, and once it has run and you've restarted your Mac, the whole list of output languages is available via the popup menu in the Braille tab of VoiceOver Utility.
I'm currently working on a number of other languages, which will be released as soon as possible. They include Arabic, British English, Croat, Czech, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. I have now added new languages to the CeciMac Multilingual Braille package.
The full list is Arabic, Danish, French, German, Greek/Coptic, Hebrew, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and US Unicode. The pop-up menu now includes specific items for all of these, as well as the original Apple US English.
The installation instructions are only provided in English and French, but they are very simple.
