PO Output Report

HI Gurus,
we need a report for the PO Out
Example for every 4 hrs, the buyer what to know, whether all is PO has be sent to the vendor by email/fax ?
In short, Output log they want in a report format?

ME9F transaction itself can be used to find out this information. If a proper formatted report is required, you can modify the output of ME9F to the way your customer wants..
Alternately you can also execute SOST transaction where-in you would find the status of the e-mails & faxes and when it was actually sent out of SAP. You can preparea report out of this in a proper format that will be value add to the purchasing department

  • BI Publisher -RTF Template issue: Output report not maintaining text with bullets and numberings.

    Hi All,
I am currently working with generating reports using BI Publisher. My issue is that when I will preview the output(in PDF and RTF) format's  of the newly created template, then, if the data coming from DB have some bullets or numbering, then the BI publisher output will ignore the same and will show the complete data as one single line.
For example if the data in the DB Field is like below:
The XYZ has the below sub-parts:
ABC : This again has two parts:
    abc1
    abc2
    CDE
    FGH
Then  this data will appear as below in the BI Publisher output report's:
    The XYZ has the below sub-parts: •   ABC : This again has two parts:  o     abc1  o   abc2   •    CDE    •   FGH
I want the format of the data (with bullets and number's) should be maintained in the BI Publisher Report as well, but I am unable to find any solution for the same.
Any help on the same is much appreciated.
    Deep Bhoj

in your query will u get all the columns always null when column1 is null
in your template for each group u can write like below
think G_1 as group in your xml
    <?for-each:G_1[COLUMN1!='']?><?COLUMN1?><?COMMENTS?><?end for each?>
or if u are not sure u get null in both places every time u can write like below
    <?for-each:G_1[COLUMN1!='' and COMMENTS!='']?><?COLUMN1?><?COMMENTS?><?end for each?>

  • XML publisher output report in excel format

    Hi
I have created reports using XML Publisher, the default output preview format was PDF. While submitting the program, in the layout, I changed the format to EXCEL,it give me output in Excel. Now I need to send the output report as an attachment through e-mail.For this I have used a UNIX shell script to send the mail using uuencode and mailx commands.
I have fetched the name of the report from table using the following command.
    SELECT file_name
    FROM FND_CONC_REQ_OUTPUTS
    WHERE FCR.CONCURRENT_REQUEST_ID = p_req_id;
The name of the report is : XXBG_PO_IFACE_SO_RPT_8556321_1.EXCEL
Following is the command to send the e-mail.
    (cat $MAIL_BODY; uuencode XXBG_PO_IFACE_SO_RPT_8556321_1.EXCEL XXBG_PO_RPT.xls) | mailx -m -s "$MAIL_SUBJECT" $mail_id
I am receiving the mail with the attachement, but when i am trying to open the attachement it is throwing an error and nothing is displayed in the excel sheet.
Note: When I am sending the mail,in similar way, with 'PDF' attachement it is perfectly fine and the attachement is opening correctly.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Madhu kumar

    Hi schavali,
The error message is as follows
Microsoft Office Excel cannot access the file "https://xxxxxxx/Inbox/XXBG_PO_RPT.xls.
    There are several possible reasons:
    --The file path doesnot exist.
--The file is being used by another program.
--The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
After throwing the error, it open s a balck excel sheet.
    Hi hsawwan,
I have gone through the thread. I am able to see the report when I click the output tab on the concurrent request screen.
But the problem is, when I am sending the output report as an excel attachment then I am facing the problem.
There might be some problem with uuenocde or mailx command.
    Thanks
    Madhu Kumar.

  • Can I put a SQL query into a bind variable and then use it to output report

    Hi,
Can I put a SQL query into a bind variable and then use it to output report?
I want to create a report and an item "text area" (say P1_TEXT) which can let user to input a SQL query(they are all technical users and knows SQL very well). Then, I use a bind variable (that text area) to store the SQL statement. Then, I add a submit button and I want to use the following to output the report:
    select * from (:P1_TEXT);
Do you think it is possible to do that? Any known limitations for APEX in this area?
    Thanks a lot,
    Angela

You can, but make sure it's what you really want to do. Make sure you are VERY familiar with SQL Injection. Most people who know what it is, go out of their way to prevent SQL Injection. You're going out of your way to allow it.
You can try using &P1_TEXT. instead of bind variable syntax. Bind variables are one of the best ways to prevent SQL Injection, which is why it's not working for you.
Once again, I strongly urge you to consider the implications of your app, but this suggestion should get it working.

  • Is it possible to embed a pdf attachment to a pdf output report?

    Hi community,
The question is a little bit complex, cause we do not know if belongs to Reports or tu E-Business-Suite. Our development Team has just created a report for a list of purchased/sold goods, which output is a PDF file.
On the other hand, the customer, is attaching a PDF (an agreement) to the items included in the Sales Orders in the Sales Order Window in the Order Management Responsibility. The customer wants that when they prints the report, the agrreement attached to each item in the sales order, will be printed too.
Is there any way to include the .pdf attachments in a .pdf's output report?
    Thanks

    1. This is not a OAF question, reports forum would be a better place to post the query.
    2. I had the same requirement of merging multiple PDFs in oracle Quoting, what I did was get a third party code from net which joins two PDFs.
So, you need to do this
    1. Have a request set, with two conc programs
    2. Program one in the request set would generate the PDF report as it is doing now
    3. Program two in the request set would go back to the order, see if there is a attachment, if yes, pulls it, calls the third party java PDF merge program, merges both the PDFs and then generate the output, which is a consolidated PDF/

  • XML Bursting Output Report

I have created a tax invoice that i can generate and print using XML Publisher.

    Hi Lisa,
Thanks but it didn't solve my problem - so i went back to a couple previous versions - one that just emailed and one that just created the file and they both worked fine.Have you applied the patch?
So i used the email only one and appended my filtering restriction to the end of the command and even though the reports were emailed correctly the bursting report failed to output with the duplicate entry error.
Is the syntax of my filter wrong?Sorry, cannot be of much help -- Others with similar experience may help (or you may log a SR).
    Thanks,

  • Setting html output report type.

    Hi,
I want to have my own title in a html output report type. Does anyone know how to set the title in a blue window line? Now it seems that BI Publisher puts the title in a somehow arbitrary way and I cannot control what it places there.
    Thanks,
    Dmitri.

  • Outputting Reports OP into WP docs

This probably belongs in another Forum but here goes.
    We're running Forms and Reports v 6.0.8.11.3 and Windows 2003 SE v 5.2.3790 Build 3790.
I have a form that passes a lexical parameter to an Oracle Report. After viewing in 'Preview' mode, the user 'Distributes' to serveral sources including a Word document. When the user attempts to edit the doc, all of the data seems to be placed into a 'Cell' or 'Table' and the formatting of the report is lost.
Can anyone point me to the correct manual or does anyone have experience outputing Report output in WP docs meant for editing?
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hi Jules,
You need a user with XDBADMIN rights to access the WebDav. Once you have access, you can open the URL as webfolder (in IE).

  • Hiding output report columns in VA05

    Hi all,
I wish to hide some of the columns in the output report of VA05. The users of that report are not supposed to be allowed to unhide them (so I think the layout function is not applicable then unless there's way to block them from choosing layout for VA05 report only)
Can anybody suggest some of the ways to do that?
    Thanks
    Rgds

    Hi TY Ng,
There r two ways of doing this:
1.Create a layout which is to be used by those users and ask your basis consultant to restrict those users to modify that layout.
2.Ask your abaper to develop a report similar to VA05 with the specified columns as desired by the management.I suggest you use the second option as it would be easier for you and for your users also to handle this situation.

  • Currency Symebol in output Report

    Hi,
We have a requirement for showing currency symbol in out put of the report.I need a report for values of revenue with indian currency symbol while displaying the output.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Lingaraj,
go through the below SAP NOTE
Suggested by SAP in OSS 1503523
    Solution
We recommend to postpone usage of the new character INDIAN RUPEE SIGN until the character and its code point have been formally released with Unicode standard 6.0.
When you decide to use INDIAN RUPEE SIGN before it is formally released, make sure, that your input methods and fonts use the code point U-20B9 for the INDIAN RUPEE SIGN and that the official layout of the INDIAN RUPEE SIGN is used.
Using a different code point for the INDIAN RUPEE SIGN will cause future problems with data consistency, data communication and searching.
SAP currently does not provide input methods or fonts which cover the INDIAN RUPEE SIGN nor has any suggestions, which input methods or fonts can be used.
INDIAN RUPEE SIGN cannot be used in Non-Unicode SAP systems.

  • Save output report as .pdf file in a folder

    Hi,
I have to create a report which has output in .pdf format, and then save that .pdf in a particular folder, which is already there.. Can anybody help ?

    thanks a lot..
one more ques on request priorities:
Can we set the priority in Oracle Reports ? Say, for example, we have scheduled weekly reports ( around 40 - 50 reports) that runs 1st of every month at 9AM. While these reports are still running , we want to run an adhoc report , which canbe for last one week. Can we set the priority such that adhoc report is executed first ? Or is it something like they both will run parallel in different sessions ?
I have posted this as a separate thread, but not getting replies..

  • Output report format rtf  in IE5

    Hello.
I want to run a report and have the output in RTF format.
This works fine, but when Internet Explorer
ask me where to save the file the filename
is rwcgi60, not myrep.rtf from the parameter
    desname=myrep.rtf.
    I have version 6i.

    hello,
that's how it works if you do destype=cache ! the desname
parameter is ignored if destype=cache and the browser interprets
the fact, that rwcgi60 is the "source" of the file as the fact
that this must be the file-name.
this behavior is true for all content that is streamed through a
    cgi-executable or similar technology.
