  • Issue in PO Release Workflow WS20000075

    Hi All,
We have activated Std. PO release Workflow WS20000075 for two step release levels. When New PO created with release strategy this workflow will trigger and send workflow items to Agents to release Purchase Order. Up to this it's working fine.
But the problem occurs to trigger Workflow again after PO price change. We have release change indicator with 5% variance of price. That means when some one changes the Price or Quantity and if the total values variance more than 5% of price variance then Release strategy will activate again in PO. But in this case Workflow WS20000075 not sending workflow items again to the agents.
Is there any workflow setting causing the issue?

    Hi Sivaparvathy ,
As far I can understand in SWEL event trace for the second time the event is getting triggered but there is no appropriate receiver for that event. Can you please specify the event name. If it is any event other than RELEASE for eg lets say if it is CHANGE, in the workflow WS20000075 header you will have to bind the workflow with this event and activate linkage for this particular event as well(without changing the previous configuration for PO release event). So that the workflow is triggered for this event as well..
    Hope this helps
    Regards

  • The task TS20000166 in PO release workflow( WS20000075 ) is not terminating

    Dear Experts ,
The task TS20000166 in PO release workflow( WS20000075 ) is not terminating after release the PO .
In the WS20000075 ,the event RELEASESTEPCREATED is triggeing and move to the next step. The next step is 'Release of purchase order'  , the task TS20000166  is not terminating after release of PO .So Workflow is not move to next step i.e  TS20000168.
I have noted TS20000166  is having three terminating event ( RELEASED,RESET,SIGNIFICANTLYCHANGED ) but still it is not terminating.
Is it Clear. If you want more details please let me know .Please help me.
    Thanks and Regards

    Dear Raj,
Please check agent assignment. And also check graphical mode error and check how many events fire one after one. Because for rejecting there is one more workflow u have to activate but i dont think so u have to activate it after realease . In agent assign ment check workflow with normal agent assignment dont use release stretargy then check it again if it is working fine then it must be problem of agent assignment step.

  • How to assign agent assigment in release strategy WS20000075?

I have copied  the standard workflow WS20000075 and then created Workflow template and in trigering events tab of the wf template, I have binded the event RELEASESTEPCREATED.I have also done the SPRO settings for release strategy,i.e,that is I have assigned the users for each release code in table T16FW and mentioned the role resolution in the as 1 in the table T16FC.
The workflow is working fine but I am a bit confused with the agent assigment in the tasks TS20000166 and TS20000168.I have noticed one thing that in the task TS20000166 a default rule 20000027 - Person responsible for PO release, but it does not seem to work. The TS20000168 does not has any default rule for agent.
Can anyone guide me how i can do the agent assignment for this workflow.

There is no requirement for default rules.
Agent for task TS20000168 is assigned in the workflow where it is used.
If the default rule for task TS20000166 does not seem to work you should first of all check all the obvious potential problems, and secondly (if you haven't found out what the problem is) tell us <u>why</u> you have concluded that it does not work.
    Check:
    1) that the task has either been defined as general task or has possible agents assigned
    2) that your customizing for the release code has "1" as workflow configuration and that there is a valid agent assignment for the code - alternatively "9" as config and the user exit is implemented
    3) that there is overlap between agent assignment for the release code and possible agents for the task

  • PO release workflow WS20000075 BUS2012

    Hi ,
I have a question aboutt he user exit of the PO workflow WS20000075, BUS2012, Rule 20000027.
There is user exit in function module ME_REL_GET_RESPONSIBLE
I have put '1' in the release codes role resolution.
i.e in spro - MM - purchasing - purchase order - define release procudure for purchase order - release codes
is it so that by putting '1' i cannot use the user exit ?  and if i have to use it then i have to put '9' instead of '1' ?
and if i have to use a combination, means I have to use the assignment of role to release code at the same time put my own logic then I have to remove 20000027 rule and create new rule with my required logic and put this new rule there.
I need to confirm the above understanding. could anybody helpme? thanks.

    Yes..You got it better.

  • PO Release Workflow Problem

    Hello,
This is regarding PO release workflow(WS20000075).
I fail to understand as to how I can trigger workflow on realising PO
from ME29N, though using SWUS (Test Workflow) I am receving message
in the sapoffice mail.I am not really able to link the application with the workflow.
Secondly I dont understand why the second task i.e., Release Purchase Order Effected' does not trigger when I test the workflow. The message i receive is 'Please release purchase order no ....' and not 'Purchase order Released' when I test the workflow using SWUS.
    Kindly advice.
    Regards,
    Sumit

The deactivation is happening as there is some error in the instances. Please change the settings in SWE2 for WS20000075 entry and change the field of Feedback after error as Do Not Change Linkage. The error might be due to some authorization issue please check from SWEL and analyse accordingly.
    Thanks

  • Error in PO release workflow

    Hi all,
I'm having problem with linkages errors when I active PO release workflow WS20000075. The wf work without problem in develop system but in the system where I transport, a internal message is sent to me with text:
    Error in event receiver
    Error processing following event linkage:
    BUS2012 RELEASESTEPCREATED WS20000075
    Following error occurred:
    SWF_RUN 594
    Message text:
Import container contains errors (are any obligatory elements missing?)
    Event container appended as attachment.
    Event linkage with errors deactivated.
The customizing is the same in both system and I don't understand the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

I think you might have missed the binding between the event container adn workflow conatiner  try to co like below.
    1. OPen the workflow template WS20000075 open in change mode , click on the tab Triggering Events slect the entry which you are able to see on the screen .
    2. Click on the binding button, and do the following entries.
    &_EVT_OBJECT&          &PURCHASEORDER&
    &RELEASECODE&          &RELEASECODE&
    &_EVT_CREATOR&          &_WF_INITIATOR&

  • Send Mail step in ready state

    Hello Experts,
I am a workflow novice, just starting out.
I have copied the standard PO release workflow - WS20000075 and inserted a send mail step before activity "Release of purchase order". This was because I would like to send the PO as a PDF attachment to the approver.
The send mail step works fine (i have custom object and method to attach and send mail), it sends out the mail with the attachment correctly, but the work item is in "ready state" and needs to be manually "completed" for the workflow to proceed. After this, the workflow proceeds perfectly.
The send mail is marked as a background task and synchronous object method.
What do i need to do for the "Release of purchase order" to happen as soon as the email has been sent out?
Thanks a lot for the help.
    Regards,
    Parag.

    Hello Ravi,
Thanks for the prompt reply, there are no erros in the workflow log.
SWU3 was definitely done, standard PO Release workflow works fine and so do other ones. Its just that I copied the standard and inserted a new step.
Do I somehow need to "terminate" the send mail step for the workflow to move over to the next activity ?
    Regards,
    Parag.

  • Is it possible to bypass the Default rules in a task?

    Hello,
looking at a article on the internet on how to configure PO Release workflow. I configured my system( IDES) to create new PO Release workflow accordingly.
I am able to create a new PO and based on the configuration the Release strategy is displayed in the PO screen.
The STD PO RELEASE workflow WS20000075 provided by SAP is is activated and agent assignment is done in the configuration.
So as soon a PO is created the workflow is triggered and the workflow errors out. It does not send any workitem to the recipient. I tried to diagnose the workflow and the issue is with the default rule which gets triggered to determine a AGENT. The default rule triggers the FM ME_REL_GET_RESPONSIBLE
to determine the agents and it is not able to determine the agent.
Any idea what is missing or how to bypass the default rule defined in a std task?

    Hi Imthiaz,
I implemented the OSS Note and deteted the entry in SWEC as suggested in the OSS Note. But after deleting,  The event is not raised at all. I did a comparison of SWEL trace before and after deleting the record.
Anyways i put back the SWEC i deleted from the system. When i tried to dig further in the issue i realized that when i check the trace in SWEL it gives me a error message
Import container contains errors (are any obligatory elements missing?)
Then i checked back to see if all the Bindings are fine from Workflow to Task and From Task to the default Rule  and all seems to be fine.
Not sure why still i am getting the error as mentioned above.
Also I tried to Test the workflow from SWDD transaction and passed the PO number and the Release code in the testing. The workflow Error's out. When i check the workflow log it just stops at the first step.
Any idea what next i should try?
Anyways thanks for your help. Appreciate that !!
    Cheers

  • WF trigger event keeps disabling

I have copied the standard PO release WF WS20000075 and created a bespoke WS90000003.  I have unassinged the event RELEASESTEPCREATED from the standard and activated it on my bespoke one.  But something keeps de-activating this event, so subsequent WFs do not trigger.  I cant see any errors in SWI14 that may cause this.  So has anyone got any ideas what may be causing this?
Edited by: showthousand on Dec 10, 2010 11:16 AM

I faced the same problem for PO workflow. (check this thread for some information:
how to Delete entry of EINKBELEG in SWEC)
There would be an entry in SWEC as follows:
    Change doc. Object :  EINKBELEG
    Object TYpe:  BUS2012
    Event: RELEASESTEPCREATED
    Event Container:  FRE_ORD_EVENT_PO_DB
I deleted this entry and the issue got resolved.
CAUTION:  Make sure to look for SAP Notes or search more and confirm before deleting this entry...

  • Two ways to create workflow?

In transaction SPRO, we can define a workflow for each docoment (ex: purchase order). What's more, we can also using transaction SWDD (workflow builder) to create our workflow.
As I haven't time to test it, (need to hand in a report about that subject), I wonder if anyone can tell me the difference and relation bewteen these two ways.
    Thanks very much!!

    Hi,
if I don't mistake the wf for po release is WS20000075. Go to pftc, select workflow template and insert the wf code (without WS). Go to folder "Triggering event" and check for the entry of your object. In Business Object Repository (SWO1) the PO is represented by BUS2012. In the first folder "Basic Data" there's press "Workflow Builder" button (It's like calling SWDD transaction).
    Anyway check link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/1d/ea9d9c7aca11d194b70000e82dec10/frameset.htm
The chapter Releasing External Purchasing Docs. (MM-PUR-GF) may be usefull.

  • WS20000075: work item of 1st release step stays in status In process

    Hi All,
I have activated and set up standard flow WS20000075 but the work item of 1st release (PO release strategy with 3 levels) step stays in status In process. The work item for the 2nd and 3rd release step are completed as expected.
What could cause only the work item of the 1st release step to stay In process?
    Thanks a lot in advance

    Hi,
I cannot see in what field the release code is filled in EKKO.
See here SWEL after 1st release:

  • About PO Release Strategy Workflow : WS20000075

    Hi,
I want a workflow for PO release strategy. I believe that there is a standard workflow WS20000075 for the same.
But I am unable to use it.
I am not a functional guy and there is no one else to assist.
Can somebody tell me how I should go about?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
WS20000075 this std. Workflow for the PO this has multiple levels of approvals, Depends on the no. of approvals it will flow.
The approver can be picked using the User Exit M06E0005 (EXIT_SAPLEBNF_001 - User Exit ZXM06U51), here you have to write logic to pick the Approver.
The approval workitem comes to SAP Inbox, once the approver click the workitem it will open the Transaction, there the user can approve.
To see the status of the Workflow, Go to ME23N, in the top left a button, Service Object, click on that, a drop down appear in Workflow > Workflow Overview, you can see the status here.

  • Ws20000075 (release purchase orders)

    Hello,
I want to use workflow ws20000075
    In one machine it works.
In the other machine, which is the important it doesn't work.
I have the same setup I think.
The problem is that in the non working system, the releasecode is not transferred to the workflow. The releasecode is a mandatory parameter of the workflow, why it fails.
    What can you do?
Where do define how parameters are transferred from SWEC to the workflow?
    How can I debug it?
In the working machine many componenets are version 110, but in the non working machine it is version 200.
    Best regards
    Otto

    Hi Otto,
In SWEC you only link a Change Document Object to an event of a business object, e.g. MATERIAL with BUS1001006->CHANGED.
That means the event CHANGED is always created if someone changes table entries of the Change Document Object MATERIAL.
If you want to see which tables belong to Change Document Object MATERIAL you have to call transaction SCDO.
Every field of each table in SCDO (for MATERIAL) can be transferred from the application to your event, but only if your event has a parameter that refers to the same table and the same field.
Check if the Workflow customizing is correct: SWU3.
And check if the setting in the MM-customizing for that workflow is right.
    Regards,
    Werner.

  • WS20000075 - release PO

    Hi Folks,
We went last weekend live with this WF for the approval of a PO. There seems to be a problem with starting the flow. When a user creates a PO, the event releasestepcreated is started, but there's an error saying that the import container is wrong.
So I tried to start the WF myself by launching the event manually, and this gives no error. Once the flow has been started for the first time, the second (and third and so on) approval doesn't 't pose any problem.
So it's only by creation of a PO that there seems to be something missing.
And the weirdest thing : On dev and Test (same flow) there's no problem at all...
So I'm hoping there's someone out there who can guide me a bit in the right direction...
    thanks in advance !

Based on what you are saying, I would check the following areas closely:
    1. for the triggering event and business object, are you using a custom BO? If so, make sure delegation is setup correctly and use the standard BO.
    2. When you run manually, you obviously are giving the import container elements the correct data. So make sure the binding between the WF and the BO are all setup correctly.
    3. Could be a timing issue between when the PO is saved (actually saved to the database, not the buffer) and the triggering of the WF. I've seen this happen with custm triggering logic but it wouldn't hurt to try using the event queue and send the WF to the queue for 5 - 10 minutes (giving the database time to commit the data).
    I hope this helps.
    Derrick
