PO - Release without prerequisite step

Hi,
We have 4 levels of PO authorization for $ value. . To approve 4th level other 3 levels are prerequisite in the config.
Now the requirement is 4th level approver ( has authorize to 01 code to 04 code ) would like to release the PO with his code 04 without releasing other prerequisite code say 01,02 & 03
Can we achieve this with standard config OR security authorization level ?

Old OSX Spotlight function automatically displayed path/location within the machine: e.g. desktop/folder/sub-folder/item.
Can I make Spotlight show the path?

Press option-command and the path is displayed at the bottom of the little preview window. Press command-return and the enclosing folder opens.

In case of a PR release without classification are following things possible
1] Like in PR Release with classification , we can maintain Currency as a characteristics & then system calculates rate equivalent to base currency maintained in value characteristics.Hence can I handle multiple currencies scenario with PR Release without Classification?

1. Create characterstics -Intially you will create characterstics based on which you would like to release a purchase order.
Charactrestics are like plant, purchase order value,purchase group etc.. Assign characterstics to release class 032.
2. Create Release group say 01 and create release codes like pm(project manager), gm(general manager) etcc..
3. Create a Release starategy say s1 and assign release group to it 01 and release class 032 and department to whom this release stategy applies say MM. define the order of release say first pm followed by gm etc..
4. under classfication define value limits for release of purchase order.
5. define release indicators
6. simulate the release
7. assign if there is any workflow.

QUESTION:

Ran the defect fixed finder tool as suggested above and it came up with list of defects fixed AFTER my current release 11.1.2.1
1) Since we are applying maintenance patch release 11.1.2.3 on top of 11.1.2.1 would it just suffice if we apply patches to address defects on top of 11.1.2.3 ALONE as a post maintenance patch step?
2) Since the instruction mentions "any required PSU's" -- is it ok we skip the PSU's for version 11.1.2.1 and proceed with maintenance upgrade -- will there be any problem with this approach. Please suggest.

I would question the requirement to install PSEs because in theory the maintenance release should be deploying the latest set of files/fixes and I would think it only relates to patches for the release you are currently running, this requirement was not in previous maintenance releases and with the software being released only a week ago it is difficult to give a definitive answer, maybe one to ask Oracle.

Form fillable in Reader without Distribution step

I am taking a word doc, making a PDF form. I want to be able to copy that form and have Reader users be able to enter data. I can only make it work by taking the PDF and performing a Distribution step which creates another PDF. Can I make the first PDF fillable without the distribution step?

Reader users can fill in a form whether or not you distribute it or Reader-enable it. They won't be able to save the filled-in form unless it is Reader-enabled, which is part of the distribution process, or can can Reader-enable without distributing. Exactly how you Reader-enable a document depends on which version of Acrobat you're using.

Call external program without intermediate step

When I call an external program (Nik Color Efex) a window opens asking me wether I want to continue with the image having all Lr stpes applied etc. How can I circumvent this "annoying" step and directly call the external program without interruption?

File to File-Without Pipline steps

Hi,
We have Scenario to send file from a system to another system. This process does not involve any PI Pipeline steps. No mapping nothing...just pick the file and post it another location.
We are trying to explore if we can do this with PI File adapter ( by passing the pipeline steps like we can do in IDOC). Also if we do that do we get any monitoring of the movement of file or any trace/log.
I explored the direct connection in 7.1 but it looks like it does not support File transfer.

The release strategy is not possible in the standard. Use the following user exits:

To determine the person in workflow responsible for requisition approval.

The USER EXIT is called up if a release code has the workflow indicator "9". Objects from human resources planning can be passed on as "persons responsible": e.g. "US" (user) in the field "Object type" and a user name in the field "Processor's ID".
Example of determination of person responsible via customer-specific table: you can create a customer-specific Customizing table along the lines of T16FW, via which the person responsible is determined on the basis of the characteristics "release group", "release code" etc.
Example of determination of person responsible via cost center: The cost center can be read and the person responsible for the cost center used as person responsible for release purposes via the requisition account assignment.

Did you really release without coords working?

I have posted already two posts on the topic of SDO_COORD_REF_SYSTEM. For some reason, Oracle 10G R3 does not allow the ability to create an exact replica of a projection and specify param values.
I have tried numerous permutations of inserts on SDO_COORD_REF_SYSTEM and the OPS table with params. In all cases, looks as if this does not work with a custom copy of an existing. I am suprised that Oracle has released Spatial with these problems. Although, WKT is deprecated, there looks as if there are still dependencies in the latest release. No where is this documented except in random posts to the board. Also, the above is simple, copy an existing, specify a new coord ops with same method but different param, and viola, should work.
I challenge anyone to create a copy of an existing EPSG NAD83 to Lambert projection with specified param values per a chosen geographical area (not the EPSG one) and the correct parallels. Perhaps, I am wrong, or maybe there is an important step not documented. To this end, I look forward to SQL that does the above posted to the forum in 10G.

No Release without Purchase Requisition in Process Order(subcon)

Hi All,
We have one requirement :
The creation of purchase requisition happens during the creation of process order which is basically governed by control key.
But in case the creation of purchase requisition didn't happen , because of any issue with master data set up in recipe
or say wrong data .
We DO NOT want , the system should allow the release of that process order.
Is there any standard way to achieve the above requirement.

You can implement your own logic to check the purchase requisition during the release using BAdI WORKORDER_UPDATE. There is a method specific for checks during the release.
