PO Response (BUS2209) and Ext Classic

Does anyoune how the PO response functionality works with the Ext Classic scenario and what is involved in config ?
Our requirement is to update POs from vendors in EBP.
Any information will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
-Bakulesh

Hi Bakulesh,
you can receive purchase order responses (POR) via XML or create them manually when the vendor has transmitted the purchase order response data, for example, by fax, letter, or telephone. The POR can contain the information that the vendor accepts all purchase order items and can deliver them as ordered; or information about variations from the purchase order (PO) that occur because the vendor can confirm the PO only in part.
You normally use the purchaser role to manually create a purchase order response. As the purchaser, you decide whether POR variations need to transferred to the PO.
The purchase order response can also be created by a central role, for example, by the secretary. If you as the secretary enter POR variations, the purchaser must approve the data transfer to the purchase order.
You can configure the following workflows for the purchase order response:
·        (WS14500001)
Automatic transfer of purchase order response data into the purchase order. The system carries out a comparison during the data transfer (background processing). If the quantity, price, and delivery date variations transmitted by the vendor are within the tolerance limits set in Customizing, and no other variations are transmitted, then the data transfer of the first inbound POR occurs automatically.
This workflow is relevant for XML receipt or manual entry with a subsequent approval workflow.
·        (WS14500019)
If the POR data differs from that in the purchase order, you can be informed via a work item. As a purchaser, you can decide for each item whether you wish to transfer the data into the purchase order or not.
·        (WS14500007)
If the POR data differs from that in the purchase order, you can be informed via e-mail (with the number of the purchase order).
·        (WS14500017)
Monitoring receipt of the purchase order response:
When the flag Purchase order response expected is set in the purchase order, and a purchase order response is not received for all PO items within a specified timeframe, you can be informed via a work item.

  • SRM MM-SUS for Direct Material ( i.e. Ext Classic Scenario)

    Hi Friends,
We are planning to have the Classic Scenario in SRM 7.0  with  SUS. So it will be SUS-MM scenarion and it supports only for Classic Scenario,
But when there is a case of Direct Materials [ Manual or through PDP ( Ext Req) ], it is SAP by defaullt setting that , system determine Extended Classic Scenario.
Now , if SUS-MM supports only to Classic scenario ,then we can collaborate the Orders of Direct Material genereted through Ext Classic Scenario in SUS ?
Confused over these contrast . Can any one suggest that how to get both one in SUS-MM  ?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Alex,
    Thanks for reply.
It seems here is some confusion. PDP of Dircet Material is standard SRM secarion where we can soure the requieremnets generted in various SAP Module like PS, PM , SD, APO..etc. So We just hav eintenstion to source the requiermnet in Sourcing cockpit to create the PO .
Okay. For time being , forget the PDP of Direct Material.
Just take the Direct  Material ( For which we mention inventory or we procure for stock) only.
By SAP standard / defualt setting  , for Direct  Material , local PO is generted ,althoug we have mentioned Classic Senrion setting for the same . And it is Extended Classic Scenarion. Right!
At another side , it is SAP standrad that SUS-MM senarion support for only CLASSIC SCENARIO.
Then , my conern is  how we can send these Local orders for dircet Material to Supplier via SUS ? Wether it is not possible ?

  • SRM 7.0: Purchase Order Response (BUS2209) functionality, workflow

    Hello,
We're trying to configure the purchase order response (BUS2209) functionality. We have configured the BUS2209 document types and numberranges and maintained the 'purchase order response expected' marker for certain vendors. We therefore expected to be able to post a POR via the Purchasing:PO powl however the 'create POR manually' and other 'POR actions' are greyed out. Has anybody been able to post BUS2209 documents in an SRM 7.0 system?
Also if we look at: IMG -> SAP SRM -> SRM SERVER -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Business Workflow -> Define Process Levels  -
No BUS2209 object is list, no workflow can be maintained (you can't add anything manually either). We have activated the Process Controlled Workflow for all business objects.
Any help and input is very much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
    I did two things:
    1) I activated the start conditions for the three POR workflows as supplied by SAP. I still think this has nothing to do with the problem, but you never know.. The setting is located in the IMG under Workflow -> Application-controlled wfl, or similar (I don't have access to the system right now).
    2) I created a tolerance group Zxxx with tolerance key PR; I used 'limit as percentage' of 5% in both upper and lower limit.  I assigned the key Zxxx to the attribute TOG of a user (with the role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER)  in PPOMA_BBP.
This caused the options to be enabled. I then successfully created a PO response manually for a PO, which in turn caused a change version of the PO to be created. This change version had to be approved in order for the changes in the POR to be valid.

How do I get the Questions to show in the 'View Responses' TAB, and then show up in the Summary Report?

There are more than one Applications folders. At the root level of your system is an Applications folder for all users, where most installations go. Every user, including you, also has a separat Applications folder.
    Check all of them.

  • I have a new 160GB iPod Classic. I often listen to it for many hours at a time. Even with Itunes and the Classic set on shuffle it repeats songs often and only plays a small fraction of my songs. Help!            of my

When listening for hours to my new Clasic 160 with several thousand songs and both itunes and the Classic set to shuffle all songs it only plays a small fraction of my library and plays many songs several times over that period. It also seems to pick a small different group of songs to repeat without touching many of most of my songs each time I start listening. Over 98% of the music is legally owned in my CD collection. A few are down loads which play! There should be no issues with ownership. Please help. As much as I like all my tunes I want to actually hear them all. There are many many albums that have never been played.

Okay, well we've eliminated a couple of things.
One thing I have noticed about the iPod Classic: I suspect that "shuffle" is actually a Playlist, not a real shuffle. The Classic is not as powerful as iTunes or a desktop/computer, so it cannot truely "shuffle songs". I suspect what happens is that every Sync of the Classic with its iTunes Library causes a revised "shuffle playlist" to be put on the iPod and then, when you choose Shuffle play, it actually uses that special hidden "shuffle playlist".
So one trick is to Sync your iPod with iTunes frequently. This would change the "shuffle playlist". Another trick would be to create your own Playlists, either by adding what you want to a Regular Playlist or by creating a Smart Playlist which adds and removes songs by itself.
Smart Playlists: for example, you can create a Smart Playlist (in iTunes) which contains a random selection of all songs, or a random selection of a particular group of songs, provided the song has not been played for a period of time, say six months, or 300 days. Every Sync of the iPod with iTunes would remove any song from that Smart Playlist if it has been played. That same song cannot go back into the Playlist for a period of six months, or whatever you choose.
This way, you can reduce the likelyhood of hearing the same songs too often. This brings me to another point. If you have the same song, on different albums, then it's possible that you are hearing that same song but from both albums.
Try this: in your iTunes Library,
look for and click on the big + button and choose New Smart Playlist..., if you do not have the Sidebar displayed, switch to the Playlists view where you will find it in the bottom left corner,
Set it up to look like this:
It creates a list of songs that have not been played for fifteen weeks. It excludes videos and in my iTunes Library, it has 527 songs in it. If you would like a smaller list than that, click on the Limit to and fill in the number of songs you want.
Having set it up, play some songs from it (in shuffle mode if you wish) and watch how it changes . The song must play through to the end of the track before it is classed as "played". If you like it, let it go onto your iPod. You could set up a few Playlists, each with their own rules. Even if a song appears in two different Smart Playlists, if you have the "last played is not in the last" rule in both lists, then playing the song will eliminate it from both lists. None of this removes songs from the iPod (unless you use Sync selected Playlists...).

  • My iPod Touch 3rd Gen is having problems with the touch screen being unresponsive, too responsive, freezing and constantly resizing. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

My iPod Touch (3rd Gen) is having problems with the touch screen being unresponsive, too responsive, freezing and constantly resizing. It varies between not responding when I tap the screen and acting as if I double-tap or tap and hold when I tap. Every so often it freezes for a minute or so and then comes back. The scren is constantly changing sizes too such that I often can't see most of the top status bar or other edges. This makes typing almost impossible, ruins most games and generally makes everything difficult, but otherwise the iPod is working correctly. Powering off, shutting down apps, letting it sit have not worked. This has happened once before months ago, but the issue resolved itself somehow. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

    Try this for the freezing

  • How to reset the response status and response header

    Dear Masters
Actually we are using NTLM Authentication process to get the system login id for our web application. The problem which I am getting is after running the NTLM Authentication Code I am not able to call the action class. It is telling 400 Server error bad request. I am using Struts Dispatch Action Class. In Dispatch Action I will be passing a name (eg. method) as a parameter in struts-config.xml file and using that parameter I will be calling the respective method in the Action class. The problem which I am facing is after running the authentication code I am not able to fire the action class. It is telling the error in the console as "parameter named method is not found". Actually in NTLM Authentication code they are setiing the response status to www-authenticate,NTLM. If I reset the response status back to the normal form I think i will be able to fire the action class. Please give me a suggestion on how to reset the response status and response header back to the normal form. Any solution to this is appreciated. Please respond your reply as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

I think, a servlet filter is what you need. Please check the following URLs on how to go about creating a filter.

  • Can I keep 1 large catalog on internal hhd and ext hhd w/o issues?

I have grown my catalog to large to keep on my MBP 500 gig hhd alone with all my other files. I have considered splitting my catalog into 2 or more catalogs. I need the ability to sort all my photos in 1 catalog. I have read and studied about this for too long. I searched for a long time to find only one person who said that he had 1 catalog on his internal and ext hhds. I found no info on how to specifically do this. Not wanting to do strange things with my catalog I have been studying the issue. Today, I found the answer to the last issue. I now have a portion/oldest of my photos on a nas hhd. It all shows up in LR and the catalog backs up and checks integrity without issues. To me this is perfect and I can not believe that it is not common practice. I have all my photos/previews at my finger tips without carrying the huge file around that includes my oldest photos. Please tell me what troubles lie in my future. Thanks Geoctd1

A LR catalog is not supposed to be on networkable storage, like NAS, because that raises the possibility that more than one computer could be reading and writing to the database at once, and LR is not setup for multiple users going against one catalog database.
LR tries to detect you're using networkable storage and normally refuses to let you do it.  Have you done something special that precludes LR from knowing the catalog is not local, either internal or on a USB/FW drive?
Secondly, your subject suggests you want to have a catalog on both an internal and an external drive, but your "solution" seems to describe a catalog only on NAS.
Can you clarify what you're really doing and what you're asking about?

    Hi,
Do u want this for SLA?
In the service desk you have to assign the date profile to the SLFN transaction type.
For this you can use the standard date profile SLFN_HEADER.
award point if it helps you.

  • Difference between Classic Scenario and Extended Classic Scenario

    Hi Expers,
    I need your help again........:-)
I just want to know what is the differne between classic and Extended Classic Scenario.
    Points will be rewarded
    Thank you
    sam

    Hi Sam,
    (explaination frm a previous thread)
    Difference between scenarios
WIth classic scenario, the SC following document is to be created in your R/3 backend(s). Thus you can get an PO, a PR or a stock reservation in R/3.
With extended classic the following document is to be found in SRM itself. Thus from a SC item you can get a complete PO, an incomplete PO or depending on your customizing a Sourcing cockpit (now called Sourcing Application) requirement. Additional FM are called when you tick the box "Enable Extended classic" in the IMG activity, enabling you to get a local PD.
If you need to get a stock reservation in R/3 with extended classic, you will have to switch back to classic scenario for the particular category or product with a dedicated BADI ("Control extended classic ").
Be aware that with extended classic, the PO created in R/3 is not exactly a replication. That is a "copy" with that crucial difference that the SRM PO will use a different Purchase Organization that of R/3. It enables you to centralize your purchasing. In SRM you can create a "local" Purch. Org for EMEA zone for instance while in R/3 that is rare you can purchasing above a country (because in the backend you have to produce legal documents related to one company). Those "local" (=SRM) Purch. Org. are required to enable extended classic and it makes simpler Contract management for instance (in classic scenario contracts may need to be replicated to your R/3 back end and adjusted for each back end and each Purch Org in R/3, and even for each plants).
In a nutshell with extended classic you have a PO in SRM, and this PO is assigned to a different Purch Org that of R/3. Purch Org in R/3 are determined on the basis of the "LOcation" (R/3 plant you have replicated from your backent into SRM).
Extended classic is required for service purchasing when you want your requesters to be able to adjust the PO price while they can not access R3. In extended classic, PO is issued from SRM and not from R3.

  • Classic and Extended Classic implementation

    Hi all,
Can Self service procurement scenario be implemented in classic as well as extended mode? What are the differences in configuration in SPRO?

    Hi,
There is no much differences in terms of configuration in SRM system.
for extended classic scenarion  SPRO-> SRM server-> cross applications basic setting -> activate extended classic scenario
This setting determines EBP system generates local purchase orders.
If you are implementing Ext classic scenario no need to define the step  cross applicatoins -> Define objects in backend system
Using badi  BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI you can override the setting in extended classic scenario, example: for certain product category using BADI we can create PO in back end system also ( classic scenario ).

Yes, this can be achieved. By default you have to activate Extended Classic Scenario in the system. But using the BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI, you can switch to Classic Scenario based on your requirement.
For more details please check documentation here in your SRM system
