PO's "bouncing" in monitor

Question

I installed GW monitor in a GW 7 environment. I turned on notification for "Agent Down" and "Server Down" and when they return to normal. I set up only one other threshold to monitor the GWIA queues and send a notification if it is exceeded.
All appears to be working well, but we are getting inudated with e-mail notifications from our post offices saying they are in an unknown state, then 2-3 minutes later, we get an email saying it's back to normal. We probably have some latency in our lines to our remote post offices. I cannot find what it considers an amount of time where it thinks it it is "down." When it says that a PO is in an "unknown state," I look at the domain and it still shows it as up. Is there a way to adjust the values before it considers a PO down?? Poll type is set to XML on the post office agents.
