SPRO >> MM >> Purchasing >> Version management >> here do all settings for version management...
NOTE: You only define fields for version change for PR document but not for PO document..

The sole purpose of the field Category i.e Data output category is reporting ,Which means when you check the report of Display Changes for a version in PO it will show you all the fields (as per SAP all fields are of same importance ) but if you want to impose importance to those fields according to your need then you assign a category and later you can sort the list based on this category
Now how it works lets take an example
Suppose you create a PO take print out and then changed few data in PO so new version triggers -> Mark this version as completed and saved the PO
Now after that your boss or any one want to see what changes you have made for that PO so he select version 1 in header and click on Display changes

Now out of these 6 field you assigned Price and Quantity as category A (say most important)
Material short text and Requisitioner as category B (Medium importance)
Req. tracking no. and   Tax code as category C      ( Less importance)
So it just an additional information for you to categorized and easily identify important fields among many other changed fields.

Krishna, All the Objects(prms,classes,tables,stru...) will be transported thru Transport Objects only..
Check Utilities->version->Version Mgt -> Here u will have the Transport number(if it's created under trnasportable obj).If you do not find TP no,then u would hav saved that as a Local Object.
Then Relase the TP no from SE10 Trnx.

In my scenario the PR is created and changed many times as per the requirement.
I need the date on which the PR is originally created for reporting.
ie the PRs created during a particular given period say Jan 2008.

SPRO->Mat. Mgt.->Purchasing->Version Mgt.-> Execute Set Up Version Mgt. for Pur. Requisition
Put 'Tick' mark on Version Active, Version 0 OK and External OK (CONTROL DATA) and Reason, Short Text, Requester, External Number and Posting Date MAKE IT DISPLAY (FIELD SELECTION)
After this, PR will pop-up with Version Mgt. tab, create PR and click on version tab (see what it is showing) and save. Then make any changes to that PR and save and see the changes.
It will solve your all problems related to changes in Pur. Req.
Please reward for the answer if useful to you or anybody.

Automatic PO with versioning

Hello all,
            I want to create a PO and its GR automatically at time of invoice receipt.
            The problem is that we have activated versioning in our system.
            My question is: Is there a way to create a PO automatically in this scenario? It does not matter if this automatic PO does not have versioning.
            Any ideas? Points will be awarded.

T.code MB01 is used to create PO automatically while doing Goods Receipt provided the following points are met
1) The material & Vendor the info record exist with Price.
2) Ensure PO generation is activated in SPRO->Inventory Mgt & Physical Inventory->Goods Receipt->Create PO automatically
The above is to create PO automatically while doing GR.

General Ledger - Open Item Mgt/Line Item Display

Hello Experts,
GL Account was created with no tick in open item mgt and line item display. Business users posted few entries and now realised that the accunt type should be open item manageable and display should be at line item level. Going through the SDN forums, few experts suggested the workaround as follows:
1. Block for posting GL master
2. Make it zero balance in the account(clear existing trans)
3. Run program(SE38) RFSEPA01
4. Check Open Item Check box/Line Item Display
5. Unblock the GL master
6. Continue posting as normal.
However the above solution was recommended for 4.7 or earlier versions and for ECC 6, the recommendation was to open a totally new GL master with correct attributes and block the old GL master.
My client is running ECC 6.2 but requires this corrected asap and I wonder if anyone can suggest a better solution than creating a totally new GL master.

SP1 to R2 Upgrade - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database

Am trying to upgrade a SCOM SP1 environment to SCOM R2( 3 MGT servers, 1 GW and 2 Web console boxes )
The prerequisites are failing and it is stating the following ;
Operational Database SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database
Data Warehouse SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the data warehouse
The SQL servers are running SQL 2012 SP1 64 Enterprise, which is compatible.
All other pre-upgrade tasks have been done.
Help appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue, I believe. I think that Tubble has problem with SCOM 2012. Not 2007.
I've checked the compatibility list for both SCOM 2012 SP1 and R2. All newer Windows Server and SQL versions are supported. We're running the SQL 2012 SP1 x64 Standard edition on a Windows Server 2012 Standard.
I even tried to move the database from SQL 2012 to an older SQL 2008 R2, but that's not supported either. Only upgrading. Not downgrading.
So, I started checking the opsMgrSetupWizard.log file for clues. And the error message was there as well. But the reason why it says not supported is that it can't get the info about the OS version, so I guess it assumes the OS version is to low. The RPC
service can not be reached.

So, in our case this was just a FW that was blocking some high ports between management server and SQL. I believe TCP port 135 also needs to be open.

Color Mgt in LR/10.6/Epson Inkjets

I'm fedup with the little game of footsie Adobe calls a "robust" print module in Lightroom. I've read blogs, downloaded drivers and spent time with Applecare and still LR sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Photoshop, by contrast, DOES have a robust color management interface. It's simple to use and is stable. Why can't Adobe see fit to to adapt the same software to Lightroom which is otherwise a great program?
Two action steps I want Adobe to take (and these do not require "expert" reassurances to the contrary) 1. Send a software patch update replacing the ENTIRE Lightroom print module with one similar to that found in PS (CS4) 2.Provide a simple, direct, down-to-earth, non-technical algorithm that tells you in dumbed down English how to configure both printer-controlled color mgt and application controlled color mgt. in Lightroom
Normally, I don't like to read posts that are as gritty as this one, but, I do not have the time, patience or money to drag this out forever and I am very frustrated. Hopefully, future posts will deal with more solvable problems that inevitably arise in such complex things as software programs.
BTW, any instability I've experienced is most probably NOT the fault of Snow Leopard, the Mac Pro, OR Epson printer drivers.

In the past couple of weeks I have surfed the Adobe and Apple boards, and in doing so gained little direction from either. And certainly nothing of subsatnce or help from Epson. Now I, at least, understand a little about what my problem is; and that my problem is being worked. Thank you for the information. What a great call they made when getting you to join in on these forums.

Authorisation in Case Mgt: View my own cases whilst inprocess till complete

I have a unique request from my client which I believe should come as a standard for Case Mgt, maybe in later versions.
My client will be using Case Mgt to create and manage audit cases, and they would like only the user who creates the case and his Team leader to have the ability view and edit the case whilst its in-process.
Essentially when the user has created the case, he should be the one to select which Team leader he would like to send the case to, possibly this could be achieved via the process route. The case should not be visible to anyone else until, it is complete. More like only I have the right to view my files until I want everyone else to, and I cant view other officer's cases either until their cases are complete.
So each user should view only their cases, and nobody else's until they are complete. Everyone else can view complete cases.
Hope you understand, please help as this is a factor in our deilivery of the project.

I am on Option 2 receiving 50-51MB down and 9-10MB up -which is exactly what BT estimated I would recieve on their website. I can download things off Steam at 6.1 mb/s - which I thought would be higher, but it is still 7 times faster than I was getting before

That's very good speed, but I think you have your MB and mb's the wrong way round, as I am guessing your internet speed is 50-51mb and your download speed is 6.1MB

Archiving of PO in change version

Lost L3 to 5508 mgt interface ???

I'm sort of stumped.
ETA: I've had a couple other sets of eyes looking at this too. Added L3 & Po config at the bottom.
I've lost L3 to/from the management interface of one of my 5508 WLCs.
Neighbor is a 6509 doing the routing. Connection via port-channel, native vlan is the untagged mgt vlan. Native vlan is HSRP. I have tried setting mgt gateway to real IP rather than standby, no help. I even brought in another 5508 with the same code and loaded this config on it, no help. Console & service port are working fine. I can't ping the default gateway, but I can ping the default gateways of all the dynamic interfaces, which are all on the same 6509. I have to keep 7.0 code until I get rid of all the 1231 APs on this WLC.
All the APs have failed over to a WiSM2 for now, but they keep trying to phone home.

I'll tag the mgt interface and remove native from the vlan. I just have to drive across town to do it.
Controller should still be in LAG mode. I'll verify when I get there.
