    Hi,
You are right. For preventing confirmation in case std cost estimate release is not available you need to do enhancement. You can check for following exit along with exit which you mentioned in your post :
    Enhancement     CONFPI05
EXIT_SAPLCORF_405 - Process Ord. Conf.: Cust.-Specific Enhancements when Saving
    INCLUDE ZXCOFU10
Check either of the enhancements which may fulfill your business requirement.

  • Should I download windows 7 or windows 8 release preview using parallels, should I download windows 7 or windows 8 release preview using parallels

I downloaded parallels and was given the option to download windows 7 or window 8 release preview. I have heard of people runing thier macs by downloading the release preview, but don't have a liscense of windows 7. If I buy windows 7 i will have to pay to upgrade to windows 8, but if I download the release preview I will be unable to use it after September 26 whan Microsoft releases windows 8. Then I will have to pay full price for windows 8. I want to know which is better to do because I need it for school next week.

Buy Windows 7 retail disk and use the 64bit disk to install into Parallels. This verison of Windows is well supported an there is lots of software your school is likely using it on.
Windows 8 is still in beta stage, not ready for everyone to use yet. However you CAN download the devlopers preview issue  also to play around with.
    http://osxdaily.com/2012/03/03/try-windows-8-consumer-preview-virtualbox/
WIth Virtual Machine software you can install many other operating systems and use any (or many depening how much RAM and storage space you have) at the same time.
So you can use Windows 7 and your schools software, and then quit that and play around with Windows 8, or Linux verisons too.

  • TM2 unable to restore Windows 7 after Windows 8 Release Preview - have restore DVDs, still fails.

Hello!  I've pretty much run out of idea's on how to troubleshoot this so I'll do a summary of what I changed with the machine and then troubleshooting details further on.  The particular hp touchsmart notebook I have is a TM2 1079cl,  Product Number: WA812UA#ABA.  I've only had it for the length of 2012, I purchased it used from another person about 1 year ago now specifically to toy with Windows 8 before it's release.  As far as the hardwares actual age I can tell from the warrenty information that it was manufactured in late 2009, it states the warranty period was from January 2010 to Jan 2011.
Alright, so my history with the OS changes goes:
-> Purchased this TM2 in early 2012, ran the recovery partition to wipe it clean of the previous owners use and it ran through installation perfectly fine, then on a clean Windows 7 as if it were new.  I'd also made use of a bootable Acronis True Image 2010 disk to make a hard disk image of the three other partitions for recovery (though I did not include the freshly installed windows 7 partition, figured it wouldn't matter if recovery could do it's thing right?)
-> Some days later I loaded the second of the three preview releases for Windows 8 onto it (Customer Preview build I believe).   All worked fine and it dual booted between the two without issue, afaik the only real changes it made amounted to converting the primary partition Windows 7 was installed on to an extended partition and splitting the existing Windows 7 partition equally 50/50 inside that extended partition.  It had also overriden the boot manager / bootloader that was there before but again not surprised.
-> When Release Preview build came out over summer I did an update from inside windows 8 and all seemed fine still.  The change between the two preview builds did develop an issue where I couldn't shut windows 8 down without a handful of error boxes poping up but I'm pretty sure that was unrelated.
-> More recently about thanksgiving time I decided to give the laptop to a family member with a archiac desktop that's got issues and general old factor that makes it not worth updating.   This person is pretty adverse to change so that whole "Win8-vs-what people are used to" thing comes into play.   I decided to wipe the TM2 clean back to the OS it shipped with.    Here's where I'm now stuck:
=> Before doing anything I made another True Image of the HDD as a just incase, glad I did.
=> Tried F11 to load the recovery partition only to find that because of the bootloader being tampered with by Windows 8 it doesn't actually go to the HP recovery partition anymore despite still being on the hard drive.
=> Grabbed the hard disk image from the beginning of the year with the recovery partition on it before windows 8 touched the machine, wiped the hdd completely clean, restored the disk image.   I could now get into HP recovery fine but....
=> I got a dialog error right off the bat saying that the recovery partition could not install and instructing me to insert disc 1 of the recovery software.  Well I never made the dvd's myself with the one-time use burning feature when it worked so that's out and I had not bought the discs from HP's support site.   At this point I'm puzzled though why the recovery partition can't install despite the computer loading up into recovery just fine.  For example command prompt in the Windows PE environment is functional and all files seem to be present.   Maybe some verification that the recovery partition isn't pirated might have been triggered by hard disk imaging, i'm really not sure?
=> I then made used of the HDD image I'd just created before trying this and restored the other copy of the drive (Win8 tampered bootloader, Win8 release preview, win7, the inaccessible recovery partition and all).   Windows 7 and 8-RP could still boot.   Googled around a bit about the recovery partition key (F11) getting messed up by Windows 8 and came to find I only needed to set recovery as the "Active" partition to get it to start.  Sure enough that got it to start but I'm running into the same issue where the actual recovery partition loads up but now refuses to begin the restore process without HP dvd's.  Since I know for certain this worked months ago I guess once again since I ended up restoring that version of the recovery partition it may have also declared itself tampered with... great.
=> Contemplated what to do for a bit and then finally just ordered the DVD's from HP in December, I specifically got the recovery DVD's for my model and they did come from HP directly, not second hand from ebay or another person.  Wasn't really that bad, $16, very reasonable price.  Should be set right, legit OEM DVD's to use?  Nope....
=> The DVD's came.  Two discs for main recovery and a third for applications and drivers.   Boot off disc one and it states it's formatting the drive how it wants (good, i'm liking this so far), copies all of the contents of the three discs to the hdd and begins it's reboot and install cycle.    Reboots a handful of times, you can tell it gets well past copying the contents of any of the discs and into installing windows.  You see the Windows 7 boot logo a few times and even the standard "preparing your things" background that's similar to the Windows 7 login screen.  The screen definitely gets as far as installing the proper graphics driver (and others I assume at that time) as the resolution changes to native for the TM2's LCD near the end.
=>  Suddenly on the 3rd or 4th (I think) reboot of installing windows it starts for a moment then says shutting down, it reboots and it's back in the windows PE environment of recovery setup again (this time coming from the hard drive, not the DVDs) and says it's failed to restore and offers to start everything over from the very beginning.
That's where I'm stuck.  The Recovery Partition died on me post-Windows 8 and the offical HP recovery DVD's are failing me (and oddly they're failing me seemingly in the very last steps of windows 7 restore, well after the DVD's themselves are no longer being read from).
    >> Question 1:  Does the HP recovery partition "self destruct" if it gets imaged by hard drive imaging software and restored?  I can confirm mine worked fine once and then dead after going through Acronis True Image.  Another possibility is maybe there's some ID's or tattooing of the hard drive or specific partitions that was lost when Windows 8 put it's newer bootloader into the machine or lost from Acronis?  This is still the oem hdd that came with the computer, it has not been switched out.
    >> Question 2:  Are there any known problems with the official Windows 7 recovery DVD's for a late 2009 TM2 1079cl?  I'm also aware of the Cyberlink recovery software patch / pre-install disc and tried this with results that were no different to without it.  That said my machine does have the Cyberlink version of the recovery software, I read there's something like 3 different companies software for recovery depending on time period the laptop was made and sold.
    Reference: [ http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&softwareitem=pv-80183-1 ]
    >> Question 3:  Plainly put, what now?  Anything else to try or do I need to go find an RTM windows 7 disc and scrounge all the driver zips together?  (Very much hoping to avoid that, I'm actually pretty curious to really understand what happened here and while that'll work it would answer nothing.  hehe).
Maybe related things as well:  Some searches led me to believe having the WLAN switch off at the start of recovery causes driver installation to flip out (and indeed win7 seems to drop dead during the last steps of driver install) however it's not possible it would seem to turn the WLAN card "on" before this point.  Switch won't bring it to enabled state anyways.   As I mentioned above the Cyberlink recovery software patch has no effect on things.   No parts have ever been changed in this machine, original hdd, wlan card, ram modules, ect.   I doubt the motherboard bios / firmware has ever been updated, machine states it's revision F.02.
    I have at my disposal:
    * A lot of time, actually, hense why I really want to know what happened and not use the Win7 RTM disc.
    * hdd image of HP recovery before Win8 touched the machine.
    * hdd image of recovery after Win8 and a kinda buggy but still bootable Win8-RP.
    * The correct HP-made recovery DVD's for my laptop, ordered recently (December 2012).
    * Confident enough to toy with partition editing tools should it be a suggestion, never really used much outside of gparted on linux live discs however.  Considering the current state of the machine there's nothing to risk losing anymore though.
Sorry for the text wall!  I like being very detailed!
    This question was solved.

  • Windows 8 Release Preview on Mac Mini mid 2011

I was wondering if its possible to install Windows 8 Release Preview on a Mac Mini mid 2011 via Bootcamp (Mainly for gaming purposes)

I've finally got it installed on my HP Touchsmart 610-1000t (or whatever the number is).....
    Apparently it's a graphics card/driver issue.
I downloaded the enterprise final release and it did the same thing to me (black screen etc etc).
In the end, I highly doubt some of these models are compatible with windows 8 if the final release is giving me the same problem.  The only difference is- now the sleep button worked, so I fiddled around with it until I got it fully installed (user created).  After doing so, I booted into Safe mode and disabled the graphics driver/restarted and it booted up fine/works fine.  Every now and then it crashes on IE10.  I wasn't able to test the touch capabilities during the releases between developer and final, so it wasn't until now I can finally test the functionarlity of ALL the gesture functionality.  I can say, the combination of the touch screen desktop and short cut keys makes everything so much quicker and easier.  I perfer windows 8 over windows 7 on my touchscreen, finally the touchscreen experience is much better! Of course I still use my keyboard and mouse.  The touch pinning/swiping is awesome.  I can't say the same for normal desktops in a corporate environment (without touchscreens).....I can say however- windows 8 tablets would be really nice in place of my Ipad or my laptop that I carry around from meeting to meeting, thus the reason I'm waiting for the Surface!  CItrix and apps can only take you so far.

  • Windows 8 Release Preview/Photoshop CS6 Licensing issue

I bought and installed Photoshop CS6 on Windows Consumer Preview and it worked flawlessly. I then installed Windows 8 Release Preview. This had to be a clean install. I didn't know I had to deactivate Photoshop before doing the clean install. Installed without a problem. Now when I try and run CS6 it says that the license has expired. I have done all the web and Adobe support told me to do but still has the same issue. Other than waht this article says: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-licensing-product-expired-cs4.html Adobe support isn't interested in helping.
    Can anybody help?

I do know there's at least one person on this forum who is using Windows 8 (Kelly is I believe his name) and has gotten Photoshop activated properly.
I've been testing Windows 8 for the past several days (in virtual machines).  Microsoft has actually made it worse to use in the release version.  They've completely removed Aero Glass, for example, so now everything just looks flat and lifeless.  I've written a book that describes how to configure and augment the OS so as to get work done with it.  But I'm not sure people are going to want to upgrade to it wiith it looking this bad!
Have you tried removing Photoshop CS6 and using the Creative Suite Removal Tool to clean remnants of it up, then reinstalling?  I'm sure the telephone support people would have suggested that; I'm just confirming.
Only thing I can imagine is that Windows 8's UAC system is somehow getting in the way of Photoshop retaining its activation data.  It's no longer possible, using the Windows 8 UI, to completely disable UAC, though it is still possible to do it through registry manipulation (something best done by power users and system gurus).  If one does apps will no longer run in the "UI formerly known as Metro" - which suits me fine, but may not be good for most folks.
Have you tried running the installer As Administrator?

  • M58p desktop computer with release preview installed

    Dear Forum members.
Please can anyone assist me in my query.
    I am owner of a m58p desktop (core 2 duo - 3ghz)
I obtained it second hand with a pirate version of windows 7, which, of course I immediately removed because to have continued using it would have been against the law.
Not having any replacement media available I installed Windows 8 release preview and it works a trick. I opted for the 64 bit as opposed to the 32 bit version
Of course this expires in January 2013, and when that time comes I will have to reconsider.
It was therefore good news indeed to hear yesterday that Microsoft are going to make windows 8 available very cheap when they release it on the market (40 dollar)
However the article that I read which announced this said one would be able to do this upgrade only if one had existing version of windows installed eg windows xp or vista etc
Now as mentioned, in my machine is only the free version of windows 8 installed.
I wish to enquire can I upgrade from the windows 8 release preview to the cheap windows 8 when available.
Please note on my PC is a COA sticker on the side (along of course with Product Key) for Windows Vista Business. However I don't have recovery media for this windows vista business.
Would I have to obtain recovery disk for windows vista business before I would be able to upgrade to Windows when it comes.
Or will I be able to upgrade direct to Windows 8 without going through the rigmarole of getting a windows vista business disk for recovery and installing it, then upgrading to windows 8.
if I do need to get a disk for windows vista business these are not cheap. If someone would lend me theirs (someone who has already windows vista business recovery medium ) for the m58p I could use that . I don't think the latter would be illegal as I do licence key as mentioned on side of pc.
Any thought, advice, tips or counsel would be much appreciated please.
    Yours sincerely
    Ian
ps forgive me I previously put this post on wrong part of the forum so re sent it in this one pasting it in.

    Hi
    Welcome To Lenovo Community
As per MS update the system should have a older version preloaded before you can buy a new windows 8 pack
You can contact Lenovo support for obtaining the windows vista recovery media
    Hope This Helps
    Cheers!!!

  • Warning -- Release Preview + T60p = Fail

General warning to those thinking about trying Windows 8, release preview, on a T60p. Not sure what they did with release preview, but it's simply awful. It doesn't recognize nearly any of the drivers for T60p hardware -- most notably the display adapter for the ATi FireGL V5250. Not only is the display resolution atrocious, but it's very, very slow: the mouse skips across the screen as if moving the mouse is a difficult task.
It should be noted that I installed the release preview onto my installation of Windows 8 "consumer preview" which I had previously installed months before. The earlier Windows 8 consumer preview actually worked quite well on the T60p, recognized the Windows 7 drivers I had for my hardware, and even permitted me to use all of my old programs that I was using in Windows 7.
After installing release preview onto my consumer preview, I simply could no longer use my system. After about a day of trying to troubleshoot all the driver problems, I decided to install Ubuntu 12.04, which began working flawlessly (driver-wise). However, because of some compatibility issues at work, my T60p is now back to running Windows XP.
    ThinkPad T60p Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 1x100GB HDD
    ThinkStation S20 Xeon-W3670, 12GB RAM, 1x500GB HDD, 1x1TB HDD
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It seems that some people are getting the Vista driver to work with the Windows 8 preview.
Lenovo won't provide support for Windows 8 until it's official release.

  • Photoshop CS gives me an error under Windows 8 Release Preview

I'm getting an error when I try to update Photoshop CS. I'm using Windows 8 Release Preview. As soon as AAM starts, it gives me an unspecified error.
I have follwed all the advice given above. Nothing seems to fix it.
    Pieter.

Yes ok so apparently you are attempting to utilize Photoshop CS6 then?  At present we have not released a specific update for Photoshop itself.  You can locate the product update page itself at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/.  You can then select the product you are looking to update from there.
It should be noted that Windows 8 Release Preview is still a preview/beta of Windows 8.  I can not guaranttee that CS6 at the moment will perform correctly in this environment.  I have seen a couple users who have been successful however.  They all were initially running into a variety of different difficulties.

  • Requisition without release strategy

    Hello everybody
Is it possible to block create purchase orders with reference to requisition without release strategy?
    Example:
    1. Purchase Requisition 100887 with release strategy R1 <> Purchase Order 300 created with reference to PR 100
    2. Purchase Requisition 100888 without release strategy <> Purchase Order cannot be created.
Thank you for help in advance
    Arek

    Hi,
If you have seperate document type for PR's for release strategy
You can remove the link of PR document types to purchase order document types
    other than release startegy in
Purchase order document type customizing spro>mm>purchasing>PO>define doc types>link to PR
this will not allow PO's to be created without Pr's having release strategy

  • Bug? OS X See Windows 7, XP or Windows 8 Release Preview Installer Burned on Rewritable as Blank

  • Audigy 2 ZS Notebook on Windows 8 Release Preview

Recently started using Windows 8 Release Preview as my main OS (gotta get up to speed for when it's released). While the Audigy was detected by Windows and installed some default drivers, they were of course basic. Installed daniel_k's Audigy Support Pack 4.0 and generally it works, but am missing the CMSS2 and Stereo Surround options, and the CMSS option (while there) doesn't do anything. 5.1/7.1 output works fine when the source / app provides such content but as I'm using Spotify for 99% of my music, I'm stuck with Stereo output only. I know CMSS is just a bit of a gimmick, but I do like filling my room a bit more + my sub is just idle too.
Anyone had better luck with this card/OS combo? I've a desktop with a PCI Audigy 2 ZS that I'm considering upgrading from Win7 to Win8 to see if that's works any better.
I'd like to be able to have a hack around with drivers etc to see if there's something that can be done to get missing settings going, or maybe it's just never going to work without updated drivers with the newer audio system in Win8. Not really sure where to start though - there appears to be so many driver/component files involved in running the sound card!
Alternatively, I'd like to find a way to force any application to upmix to multi-channel, of course without actually changing the application. Programs like XBMC, Media Player Classic, Winamp have options / plugins to do this.
    All idea/thoughts/comments welcomed!

I have moved to Lync 13 client and the same behavior is displayed.
Lync client crashes when connecting audio or receiving files.
Windows 8 was a clean build again with the Lync client installed.
This is making Lync unusable on Windows 8
