Poblem in installing Oracle patch OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip

Hi All,
My OS is windows 2003, SAP ECC 6.0 and database is ORACLE 10g.
I have downnloaded the recent patch from the link..>https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/oracle-download>Oracle 10.2.0.5>OPatch>from there I selected>OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip and mopatch-2_1_5.zip.
I unzip OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip and placed that in the Opatch folder D:/oracle/<sid>/102_64/Opatch(after taking the full backup of the system as well as the old opatch)
Then I shutdown my SAP application, Database, Listener.
Then I tried to RUN 'OUI.exe'>it started>under window Specify Home details--> automatically if take name and Path
Now when I am clicking next--->"Product- Specific Prerequisite Checks" window is not coming.
It is directly taking me to "Available Product Component Screen" . Since I can't see "SUMMARY Window Screen".
I cannot installed th recent OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip which is kept in OPatch folder.
Please suggest what mistake I am commiting.This would be a great help to me.

Thanks for taking out your time to guide me.
patches are not installed using OUI but using OPatch.
But I am confused. As I had already applied patch "OPatch_10204_Generic_v5" once using
OUI.exe(Oracle Universal Installer).
As per me OUI.exe is used to launch the setup.
Please clear my doubt. That would be a great help.

How to install Oracle patch in windows

Hi,
I have installed oracle service registry and was facing below error:-
org.idoox.wasp.WaspInternalException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Updates to config files not supported
After searching on Oracle Support, i come to know that patch p9499508 is required for this bug. I have downloaded the patch from oracle.
Now i don't know how to install/use this patch . I'm using windows and installed everything on my local machine.
Does anyone have idea on it??

Thanks Mathieu. I have checked 'Readme' file and followed instructions mentioned.
But don't understand how to follow below mentioned by you:-
Set the oracle_home where the patch will be installed.
Use the "lsinventory" argument of opatch
Use the "apply" argument of opatch

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL casuing havoc in Redhat ES5 when installing oracle patches

Hi guys
I have installed oracle 10.2.0.1 on a 64 bit Redhat ES5. I am trying to install patch 5689937 which requires the #export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
However I am unable to do anything when I do the export. I get the following message and i can't run any commands --> "error while loading shared libraries: librt.so.1"
If I try to apply the patch without the required LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 then I get a ton of errors about "occiBytes.cpp:", "undefined reference to"..
May somebody help? I don't have such issues in Redhat 3,4 32 bit.

Use Redhat 4 or, better yet, Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.

We had an I/O issue and opened SR with oracle, they asking for apply patches to AIX

According to the metalink note 390656.1, "If the patch is unavailable for your database version, please contact Oracle Support for assistance", and since you have an open SR, that should be easy.

Tuxedo 8.0 and Oracle patch 9.2.0.8

We have installed Oracle patch 9.2.0.8 into UNIX machine. We are using Tuxedo for middleware that using an API Application through Tuxedo to provision onto Oracle database.
Since Oracle patch 9.2.0.8 installed, Tuxedo produced core file.
It has been mentioned by Oracle Metalink Doc ID 455832.1 that potentially because both server and client have to be in synch version. The Oracle patch has been installed on UNIX server for both
My question is that:
- Is there any Oracle client on Tuxedo (8.0) patch that need to be installed ?
- Or should we upgrade Tuxedo to later version, if yes which version that in synch with Oracle patch 9.2.0.8 ?
At the moment no workarround is applied.

Do you know if we would like to upgrade to a higher version or best to the latest 10gR3, is there any contact Support that we can contact to get software kit (weblink for download etc.). I am not sure the license contract agreement of our company, in parallel I would like to know the procedure from your side (Oracle Tuxedo).

I need download and install oracle patch set 10.2.0.5 and install for Windows server 2008 R2 (notes 1486772).
But I get message "Download basket request for update has been processed. Unable to add 1 new object(s). The objects are already part of Export and to be processed."

Refer SAP Note 871735 - Current patch set for Oracle 10.2.0 -> Oracle patch set 10.2.0.5
Once you add the Patchset 10.2.0.5 in download basket, you will find the same in Export tab of Download Basket. You will have to get the approval from SAP Export department by raising OSS message with XX-SER-SWFL-EXPORT component. After getting approval for the same from SAP Export dept., then & then only you will able to download it.

I use jre-1.1.7 ,tcl7.5 and oracle patch to install oracle 8i on RH 6.1
1 ,rebuild the kernel as oracle told
2 ,install jre-1.17
3 ,do as oracle say
4 ,run $oracle_home/install/linux/runins.sh
not create database while installing
5 ,install oracle patch
6 ,install tcl
7 ,./dbassist
create database...
it said error "not logged on"

I struggle with this three days
but I failed .

After installing the jre exaclty in /usr/local/jre/bin and following the instructions in the Installation Guide for Intel-Linux I got the error in the database creation. Then I went to the shell prompt, checked the environment variables and started dbassist. This time successfully (without patches).

Path for Oracle patch from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4 Installation

Dear all ,
let me know is there any specfic path to install oracle patch set 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4 ,bcoz i have copied the patch set 10.2.0.4 under tmp/patch and i have tried to install oracle patch under tmp/patch path , File system for tmp has gone up , AIX team has informed me do not put any file in tmp. Remove all those files from tmp.
Kindly advise
shall i delete the files under tmp/patch
(Note : Oracle patch upgrade is not done becoz of somw error )

Using Download management tools to download Oracle patches

I need to install the latest patches for Oracle server 9i and becuase of the connection I have and the size of the file It always failed to complete the installation process, I used differnet Download management utilities but it didn't work with Oracel metalink downloads, is there a way to install Oracle patches in a different way.

well for this first you must a valid member of metalink.
To register you need a support identifier number that u can get only if u have a valid lisence of oracle. if u have register urself, logon and download.
