Poblem in WCM Object

hi,
i have activated enhanced model of WCM (work clearance management) and finished all relevant configuration..
still i am not able to create WCM Objects like
1. work approvals
2. Applications
3. operation documents.
during creation of these above mentioned object i am getting following two error
1. No entry/entries in the table (WCCL)
2. Error when executing function module WCFC_WCVLTAB_GET)
Please suggest how to proccedd further.

here i am stucked in Cross documentation approval settings..
Problem is this whenever i am going to issue a approval in WCDs ( status is red), an another popups comes stating name of WCA(work clearance application,, status of WCA is yellow.).
Is there any herirachy for giving approvals . i mean first we have to issue aproval in workclearance aproval then work clearance application then only we can issue approvals in WCD's...
please guide....

Dear Amit,
WCM is used for getting the clearance / approval for a particular work (e.g. work that involves a lot of safety measures, intimation to lot of people as it affects their process) or clearance / approval from financial perspective (e.g. work that involves lot of money). If we have some particular aproval strategies in our business processes then one finds the use of Work Clearance Management.
WCM consists of two types of permits....Technical Permits & Standard Permit(name not sure).
Technical Permits involves Approval for hot work, high height work, work in other unsafe conditions. It may use the involvement of approval from safety deptt or higher authorities in your area.
In Second one, permits from financial perspective comes.
WCM is used for managing safety at work using work and safety permits like Lock out and Tag outs at work locations with hazardous nature of work. This has wide use in the Utilities and Oil and Gas industries
We use wcm to observe the safety of the maintenance technician and also to observe environmental regulatio.
Suppose you have to do welding on a mechanical fixture then you raise an WCM order. Afterwords safety engineeer from Safety department check the site whether it is harmful to do the welding. Perform lock out tagout if necessary and then give the clearnce for work
Lock out -- Lockingthe particular tech obj for the safe working(ex: steam o/l valve locked means the tag will haning there it indicates the work is going on so others will not open)
Tag out-- After completion the job Mtc I/c or safety officer or resp person tag out. This will be done all the work areas.
In most case this will better use for oil, mines, hazardous industry

Form name for WCM Objects

Pl suggest which print forms I should select in IDES client for WCM Objects while configuration for Enhanced WCM Model?

I have got the form names using SE71 with language as English and used the same form to copy from 000 client to IDES client for scenario execution.

Hi,
The individual subsystem of your technical system can be defined as trains.And you can give the corresponding train(subsystem)
against which you are creating the WCM object. This will help you to organise the WCM objects/permits so that when these permits needs to be identified and used during a collective job like shut down/revision.
Also once you define the trains you can go to the customisation path
Work clearance manangement->Masterdata ->Create Characteristics and Classes for Enhancement and cretae class and characteristics for enhancement of technical objects.You can use default values train and isolation points in the master data for technical objetcs through the characterestics you create here.
In summary the train can be used as a method for organising your maintenance processs which involves WCM objects.

Finding Objects for Authorizations

Dear PM Experts,
When we request the basis guy to restrict Authorizations for users we need to provide the objects for each transaction code with the restricted values. (ex-if I'm allowing only order type PM05 in IW31 T-Code for a particular role I need to specify the particular object from the T-Code IW31 and request to allow only PM05 for the particular role).
But the problem is I'm doing it for the first time and I'm not in a position to identity/find the objects of each T-Code. Can anyone help me out by providing a guidance? is there a particular T-Code to get the object of T-Codes?

PM-WCM Work Clearance Management transactions vu00EDa Web Dynpro

Hi All,
We are facing the task of exposing WCM functionality vía Web using Web Dynpro. WD Java needs RFC functions to access ERP data.
We have some problems because there is no API (SE37 RFC Function Modules) for WCM objects.
There are some function groups WC*, but are dynpro oriented and many are not useful to Web Dynpro.
Any experience in similar tasks related to WCM would be of much help.

WCM: Complete Operational WCD when WCI items still in Test untagging status ETUG

Greetings Experts, Gurus and SAP Sages!
I am facing a requirement to prevent the WCD from being set to "Completed" (CLSD) system status if there are items on the WCD that are still in "Untagged Temporarily" (ETUG) status.
As per the Operational Cycle process described here,the the EUG status should follow the ETUG status in the flow. My understanding of this business process is that you want to set the technical object of the WCI in a final operating condition status after it's been test-ran and untagged, so that it is apparent it is running operationally, and you can't switch the operating condition status once the WCD is complete. Therefore, I would expect the flow to be: ETG -> BTUG -> ETUG -> EUG -> CLSD
I seem to remember from a previous project, but am uncertain: Is there a setting in the configuration, or an authorization object that controls wheter the CLSD status can be set with the WCIs in status ETUG, or in EUG only? Is that standard behaviour? Can we prevent the ECD from being closed from ETUG status in any other way that using a BADI?
I am on ECC6 EHP5.

no there does not exist such kind of setting. It is a standard behaviour. You must implement for example the following BAdI:
BAdI: BADI_WCM_WCMOBJ; Method STATUS_CLSD_CHECK
You can use this method to check whether a WCM object can be closed.

WCM - Stem wise tagging

Hi All
What is step wise tagging ? is it that we can have each operation in PM work order will be having link with WCM object? if yes, What are the steps in that configuration? I have already activated the Operations level WCM in profile. I have already configured the approval groups. But still when my work order is created & it is assigned with WCM as control key to any operation, my work order status changes to WCM, operations in that are not having WCM status. Also not updated woth the status " release for execution" once order is released for execution. Am i missing any steps.

u hav to untag equipment before TECO & after WOCO status to order this is the usual practice followed.
u can get printout of this in the form development .u need to deide ehich parameters will com ein form & prepare spec accordingly.

WCM Application Profile modification or deletion.

Dear All,
I have configured Work Clearance Management using 'Enhanced Model' and created various WCM Objects via WCM relevant orders.
Initially in customizing WCM Application Profile I have set Time-Frame Check Criteria to '1 Check Operational Condition'. But now I am trying to change it to '2 No Check', it returns the following error and reverts to previous setting.
The profile in maintenance planning plant XX01 was adapted.

Please can anyone tell how to change this setting or delete the Application Profile so that I can create the new profile with the same name as previous.

Only one Application can be created at a time?

We are using enhanced model of SAP-WCM and are in the EHP6 version. We have additional applications, in addition to main application. We do not use Work permit.
Our users are creating work approval, applications & WCDs, manually as well as automatically from PM order. During manual creation of an application, if the user selects more than one options, system gives error and allows only one application to be created at a time. If more than one applications are required, he has to create them one by one. Similarly, in automatic creation of WCDs, if there is requirement of additional applications, users have to create additional applications manually.
Our problem is that the user often creates only one application or goes with the auto created applications & WCD, ignoring the requirement of additional applications. We wish that somehow if system can force the user to create additional applications required for a particular job and does not allow to prepare or issue the WCM objects until all required applications are created. For this it is required to first identify which applications to be created.
Our suggestion is, when we go for creation of application, it gives option to select type of applications with check-boxes. All the check-boxes should appear 'checked' by default and user has to 'uncheck' the application(s) not required for the particular job, before pressing OK button. On pressing the OK button, these choices must be stored in some table from where the system keeps track and prompts the user, until all the applications are created.
The experts in WCM are requested to advise if this requirement could be met in our present configuration of WCM. Is it possible using work permit? If yes, how can we implement work permit?

Automatic creation of WCD document

Dear Experts,
I am facing the below mentioned issue.
While creating WCM objects in Maintenance Order, We can create it automatically if we choose tab shown in print screen.
I am getting an option for Work Approval & Application But I am not getting an option of auto creation for WCD document.
Did I miss any config?

Approvals in Work Clearance Management

Approvals in WCM-objects are derived from the master record of the reference object or from the maintance order, that is assigned to the work clearance application.
If I can't do it, please, make your comments about my problem.

Thanks for those inputs and my apologies for not puttin up clear screen shots.I have tried to get clearer ones this time round.
In the configuration the approvals are mandatory; also the tables WCALA and WCALQ have the entries for the respective documents.
I tried to replicate one scenario wherein the work approval is red and the rest of the documents (work applicationa nd WCD) are green. I could achieve by revoking the permit using the traffic light. I am not able to replicate the other scenarios, though.
Please let me know your observations; my hunch is that after completing the tagging process the user is trying to fiddle with the permit.
