Pocket PC for IMAC/IMAC compatible with IPAQ???

I currently have an HP IPAQ pocket PC which I use with my Windows XP computer.
I'm thinking of switching computers to an IMAC.
Can I maintain my HP IPAQ and still sync it with an Apple computer?
Would an IMAC still run Microsoft Outlook?
If not, does Apple have a "Pocket PC" type of product where I can keep my calendar, schedule, contacts, memos, etc all in one place that would be like a Palm or IPAQ?

Missing Sync has worked well for me. I was using a Cingular (now AT&T) 8525 which is a PDA/Phone combination, and I have it set to sync e-mail and calendar over the cellular or WI-FI net, whichever I am connected to at the time. I believe Missing sync has a "pass through" feature so that if your Mac is on the network with the Exchange server, it will connect and sync that way also, but I have never used it.
Since Windows Mobile 5.0, the mechanism for syncing up contacts, e-mail and calendar has been based on the same technology as Outlook Web Access, so pretty much any way you can get your mobile device conected to the Internet, you can sync with your Exchange server (2003 SP2 or later).

Just purchased Quicktime Pro 7, for iMac G5 with system OS X 10.4.11, AND cannot get at Quick Pro 7 despite the keys.

If the Pro registration worked the word Pro has been removed from many menu options.
The application remains just QuickTime Player 7 but the Pro features have been enabled.

  • Are intel iMacs compatible with the M9177B/A cinema display

Are intel iMacs compatible with the M9177B/A cinema display please?

That Display has DVI input. So if you have a 2009 iMac with MiniDisplay port output as your profile suggest's...?
Then you will need a > Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.) and maybe a DVI cable if one is not with the monitor.

  • None of the fact sources for [column] are compatible with the detail filter

    Hi Experts,

Please help in solving an issue.

    Hi NN
You need to follow steps in below link to model your BMM layer for the report to work with non confirmed dimensions.
    http://obibb.wordpress.com/2010/05/31/multiple-fact-reporting-on-non-conforming-dimensions/
Once you have followed these steps you can use the non confirmed dimension in the reports. When you see the logs to see the query generated by obiee,it generated 2 queries 1 with confirmed dimension and other with non conformed dimension. When you filter using non confirmed dimension you will now not notice any error but the results will not be filtering out because the filter will be applied only in 1 query which is valid
Now for this to work what you can do is ,instead of using the filter drag the column you like to filter as a prompt in your view.default it to the value you need using the case statement and hide it.This is one of the work around.
There may be many other work arounds for this but you need to understand that for you requirment to work you need to tweek OBIEE to generate 1 query instead of 2  queries.

  • Is HD anti-glare film for iPhone 4 compatible with Seido Innocase Rugged?

Is Power Support HD anti-glare film for iPhone 4 compatible with an Seido Innocase Rugged case? (That case is the one that, aside from the holster, has 3 pieces: a 2-piece plastic case that slides over the phone, a soft rubber-like case that fits over that, and finally an X-shaped plastic back that grabs the corners of the soft case.)

Nope. My PS Crystal screen protector looks like there's nothing on my iPhone 4. I've tried many screen protectors, and this one is by far the best I've ever used.

  • Graphics drivers for windows 7 compatible with hp notebook pc 500

iplz recommend me graphics drivers for windows 7 compatible with hp notebook pc 500

    Hi:
Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an unsupported operating system error.
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=447304&swItemId=ob_47264_1&swEnvOid=2096
Close out of any error windows.
Go to the device manager and click on the video controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab.  Click on update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Reboot and your graphics should be working normally.
You will not have Windows aero because the Intel GMA 900 graphics adapter is not 100% Vista or W7 capable but at least you will be able to change the screen resolution and have graphics acceleration enabled.

  • HT2477 Are documentS created with Microsoft office for windows and Microsoft office for mac are compatible with each other

Are documents created with Microsoft office for windows and Microsoft office for mac are compatible with each other?

As with a lot of software, it depends on the version of Word, and what features the author used.
Technically, Office 2010 for Windows and 2011 for Mac are supposed to be feature compatible. As are Office 2007 for Windows, and 2008 for Mac.
However, if a person using Office 2010 / 2011 used a feature that only exists in that version and sends the file to someone using Office 2007 / 2008, they would very likely have trouble opening the file, or having it display as intended.

  • Is the new imac compatible with the dell v313w printer for wireless connection?

Is the new iMac compatible via wireless connection with the Dell V313W printer?

    Hi Sara!
I got an email refering me to your post.  Ok, www.MacMall.com is a US website that sells Apple products.  I bought my iMac&printer through their website and worked with their customer service department to get my iMac communicating with the Dell V313W printer.  They have people that will take calls any time-any day at phone number 1-800-622-6255.  The other option since you are in France would be to contact a local Apple dealer...or see if they have an authorized dealer in Europe that could help.  I purchased the Apple Care Support contract with the iMac but they were unable to help since they weren't familiar with the Dell printer.
As I mentioned in my previous post the things we tried were: 1) If I remember right... I downloaded the Dell V313W printer driver from the Dell website then connected the iMac to the printer via the USB cable and established communication. I then disconnected the cable and 2) I moved the iMac and printer closer to my wireless router then 3) I turned on "Printer Sharing" on the iMac - I think this is a critical step...to do this go to System Preferences > Hardware > Print&Scan.  In the window that opens make sure the box is checked that says "Share this printer on the network" then go to the "Sharing Preferences..." box and check the "Printer Sharing" and "Scanner Sharing" boxes in the window that opens.  When I did all this the iMac went through it's routine to find the printer and the connection was finally established!
One more thing, make sure if your wireless router is locked for security that you enter the correct password when prompted...this might have been one of my problems also!
    Hope this helps.
    All the best,
    mw

  • I need to downgrade firefox3.6.23 to the last version available for imac ppc with Mac OSX Tiger 10.4.11, what is the firefox version number?

I have installed a firefox update that is only compatible with imac' s with an intel processor & I have a ppc imac. Here is my imac info:
    Machine Name: iMac
    Machine Model: PowerMac4,2
    CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1)
    Number Of CPUs: 1
    CPU Speed: 800 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
    Memory: 512 MB

    Boot ROM Version: 4.4.0f1
I do not remember the number of the firefox version I was running prior to this update. Can you please tell me what version of firefox is compatible with the system I have.

Why do you want to go to a older release when you seem to be using the Firefox 3.6.23 just fine on your PowerMac. The 3.6.24 is the most current update for 3.6.

  • New iMacs compatible with Wacom Cintiq

I am going to be buying my first iMac next year. That being said will the new design of the iMac have the ability to hook up essentially an additional monitor? I am replacing my Wacom Intous3 and upgrading to a Cintiq next month and I am wondering if this will be compatible with new iMac (sounds redundant I know).
    Thanks

You would probably need to contact Cintiq for that information, although the new iMac's have been introduced they have not been released. Currently the most-up-to-date version of OS X is 10.8.2 so you should ask Cintiq if the device will work with that version of OS X.

  • Is my Imac compatible with Snow Leopard?

Hi, I have been reading through the posts trying to find a solution for the strange things my computer is doing (or rather, NOT doing) since I installed Snow Leopard.
I read that SL is not compatible with all machines... Could anyone tell me if my machine DOES qualify? Could an "incompatability" be the source of my computer strangeness?
When I click on "About this Mac" I am told I have "Mac OS X Version 10.6" (but it does not specify which version of 10.6). Is that normal?
    My Hardware Overview is :
    Model Name: iMac
    Model Identifier: iMac6,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2,16 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 4 GB
    Bus Speed: 667 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: IM61.0093.B07
    SMC Version (system): 1.10f3
    Hardware UUID: 00000000-0000-1000-8000-0017F2C4F6F8
    THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT!!!

Could an "incompatability" be the source of my computer strangeness?
Most definitely. Quite a few applications & other kinds of software are compatible with one version of an OS but not with the next. Without a clue about what kind of "strangeness" you are experiencing, it is hard to make specific recommendations, but you should make sure everything you have installed that did not come from Apple is the most up-to-date version offered & known to be compatible with Snow Leopard.

  • Is iLife '05 iMac compatible with iLife '05 eMac?

I accidentally deleted iDVD and need to reinstall it except my disk is lost. I could get the iLife '05 from the iMac but don't know if it will work on the eMac.
Please someone help me before my life ends....
    Thanks

"The eMac was purchased in 2005. When we tried to install iLife '05 on it, it said "not compatible with this system".
The eMac has OS9 not OSX, we tried upgrading but that was not successful.
Would the OS be a big part in not allowing the install?
What sorts of trouble shooting can I do to get iLife '05 to install on the eMac? The program iLife '05 is originally from an iMac but both are PowerPC. I'm thinking the eMac just doesn't have enough memory to support it. It has 1 GB Ram and 1.44 Ghz processor but NOT intel core duo.
Not that that should matter but I'm at a loss for ideas.
iLife requires OS X. It will not run under OS 9.

  • Is the iMac compatible with RAM clocked at PC3-10666?

    I have a mid-2011 21.5" iMac with the 2.8GHz Quad-Core i7. It's currently at 4GB since $300 for 16GB RAM was just too much.
The specs tell me that this model iMac is compatible with DDR3 1333MHz PC3-10600 RAM. I've been looking around for 4x4GB units, but most of the ones I find are all DDR3-1333MHz PC3-10666, not PC3-10600.
Some sources I've read tell me that there's no discernable difference between the two, but I want to be sure before I buy anything. Most of those questions pertained to custom rigs.
Will my iMac accept RAM clocked at PC3-10666?

that will be fine, as confirmed in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/16588791#16588791

  • Is the latest iMac compatible with external raid 1 drive setups?

I'm considering different new Mac options to replace my first gen Mac Pro. The new and most outfitted iMac seems like a good solution for my mostly Photoshop work. But, is the new iMac compaticle with Thunderbolt external RAID multi drive enclosures?

Sure, why not contact OWC (www.macsales.com) where they sell RAID solutions for Macs. Because they specialize in Macs they test every product they sell.
