Most any store that sells BlackBerrys.... as well as eBay,.
Where are you? In the US, any Verizon, ATT, Sprint or Tmobile store would have that blue CS2 battery. It also fits the 8300, 8310, 8320 and the 8700 if I recall correctly.

  • Largest Media Card Capacity for BB Curve 8330

I have read the largest supported capacity for the BB curve 8330 is 8 GB but I was wondering if anyone had tried any larger capacities memory cards with any success or failure. I would love to put all my music on my phone, but 8 GB is not going to hold it all. I have A LOT of music. I would need at least 16 GB to get by with to be able to have room for all my music, pictures and videos. But before I run out and spend a bunch of money on a larger card I wanted to know if anyone else had tried it.

  • Calendars for Blackberry Curve 8330......

Ohhh please help me!!!! I just bought the Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330. I a coming from a Palm Treo 700P. I love the Curve but I do not want to have to use outlook. Anyone who used Palm knows you could have multiple calendars and on both the Pam and Computer. I have all my dads medical, appointments, my cancer appointments and both of our lives on my Palm. When Verizon Synchronized it only the phone #'s came through and nothing for the calendar. I am now having to carry my palm treo for the personal information, drug histories, appointments, etc. Does anyone know of a program with the Calendar for both the desktop and the blackberry that I can download that will synch to each other or have any other ideas on what I can do? I would so appreciate it. Thank you so very much for any help.

  • Compatible Headsets for BB Curve 8330

Anyone know where I can find out what headsets are compatible with the Curve 8330?  I'm really liking the BlueAnt V9i but I want to make sure it will work. Anyone know?

Thanks Jeremy & Sugrat for the reassurance that most headsets will work with my Curve!
I have to apologize for my model number goof, it was the Z9i that I was looking at. I had originally gone to Plantronics mfg. website to check on the Voyager 520, but their interactive product finder said it wasn't compatible & were only suggesting their products as alternatives. When I couldn't find anything on BlueAnt's website that said it was compatible with this specific model (it just said BlackBerry), I thought maybe they were proprietary (& hoping not!).
So as long as the headset is compatible with BT2.0, then I should be ok, correct?

  • ISync - PocketMac and Blackberry Curve 8330

I installed the newest version of PocketMac because it claims to work with iSync.  When I tried to use iSync with my Curve, iSync recognizes my 8330 Curve but says it is not supported.  Is it supported or not?

Check whether you have turned off wireless syncing in the address book under options in your blackberry. Also try only syncing across one section at a time (address book, calendar etc..) until everything is on the bb.

  • Email Setup Application for my Curve 8330

I recently updated the desk top to the current verison. Under applications it shows email setup application required, but it will not let me set it up. Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to do?
    Thanks

So what happens when you click on that icon?
Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as addtional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.

  • Curve 8330 - OTA Update, now says rolling back java and turns off and on

So, I'm pretty sure my phone is fried - thanks to the wireless software update that my phone told me to download yesterday from Blackberry.
Little update icon pops up on the screen telling me that there's a software upgrade of high importance so I tell it to download over the air.  About half an hour later, my phone starts flashing and comes up with a quick screen that says "rolling back java" with a status bar that stays at 99% and then power cycles and does the same thing.  I had to take the battery out - it's power cycling every minute at least.  It won't do anything else, and my blackberry desktop software doesn't recognize it.  I left the battery out overnight so the power cycling didn't drain the battery and as soon as I put the battery back in, it just goes back to its little java msg and power cycling.
Any ideas?  I will be taking it in to Telus later today.  I'm assuming that it will have to be sent away and re-flashed and I will have lost everything on it.
Big thanks to Blackberry for such an awesome upgrade.  Twits.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You could have lost everything on it, but let's see what we can do first.
    1. NEVER do the wireless upgrages without first doing your own manual backup using Desktop Manager. RIM needs to get that right, and I hope they are listening.
    2. Try this on your device:
If your BlackBerry stays powered off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life might be the blinking red LED light in the top corner. Nothing seems to wake it up and Desktop Manager doesn't recognize any device is connected.
    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

  • Blackberry Bridge for BB Curve 8330 with sprint

I cannot upgrade to OS 5 with Sprint to access BB Bridge.  Anyone know if Sprint supports BB Bridge?

It's not a case of Sprint not supporting bridge - they do with all phones that run OS5 and above.
The 8330 will not upgrade to OS5.

  • Can't open picture attachments on BlackBerry Curve 8330

I just traded my Pearl 8130 for the Curve 8330 yesterday.  While I think I made the right decision, I'm a little annoyed by the fact that for the most part, I can't open email attachments.  Keep in mind, this is when I actually use the Internet Browser to access my various accounts.  In other words, I'm actually going to www.gmail.com and www.hotmail.com.  When I get into my Hotmail, it'll show the paper clip signifying an attachment but won't give me any sort of option to open it.  It just lists the file name(s) and that's it.  When I go into my gmail, if I've got an email that only contains one or two pictures it'll usually open those.  But any more than that and it's the same deal with Hotmail, except that it'll actually have the "6 Attachments" link that I can actually click, but when I do it just lists the file names in regular type and there's no option whatsoever to open them.  It doesn't open any kind of thumbnail either.
It's kind of a bummer to me because I have a lot of saved pictures in my email accounts that I'd like to save on my phone as well.  If all BlackBerrys are like that, I'll just deal with it and shut up.  When I get email attachments in the accounts I've set up to go directly to my BlackBerry I can always open them, so maybe this is just normal for BlackBerrys.  But if mine is actually having a problem I'd really like to get it fixed.  If that's the case, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?  I already resent Service Books and took the battery out and put it back in.  That's all I've tried so far.  If all else fails I can just take it in to Alltel to have it looked at but it'd be nice to avoid having to do that.    I know there are other ways to go about this... I can always just manually move them to my phone's memory card from the computer and stuff.  Getting them directly from my email would just be a little quicker.
    Thanks, everyone!

Blackberry browser isnt exactly the same as a browser on your PC. It has limitations, such as sizes. when you added the email to your BIS account its now mail on your device which is the primary function of a blackberry. when using BIS or BES emails, they are designed to truncate if too big, but if you wish to look at more it gives you that option. www.hotmail.com is not designed to accomodate blackberry. Your best option is to stay to the BIS email option.
Not to mention it uses less of your data bandwidth to use BIS email rather than browsing to www.hotmail.com

  • Curve 8330 first time synch with data loaded into smartphone

With other smartphones, when I would perform my FIRST synch,  if I did not take certain precautions (preset synch software to specific settings) I would wipe out all data on smartphone . Is this true for the Curve 8330? Are there specific settings so when I synch my phone for the first time with data I already loaded, I do not wipe it clean?

    Hey TomPortua,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
The first synchronization does not erase the data on the BlackBerry Smartphone unless synchronization options are configured to "Replace all data in the target application", by default this is not selected if it is configured for Two way sync.
Have a look at this article for more information no configuring the Desktop software for Synchronization:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB23681
    I hope this helps, cheers!

  • 8330 alltel curve won't sync with PocketMac, even after driver update

Sooo I have a blackberry curve 8330 I recently got through Alltel. I
installed PocketMac twice now, and was reading all about the FAQ's and
tech. support and it's not recognizing my blackberry. I tried syncing
and it said the "error 1: skipping" thing. I also downloaded the
"driver update" and it's still doing the same thing. It shows my phones
like charging when it's plugged in but I can't sync it. This is my
    first blackberry and I'm confused.
    Can someone help me, please?
And, does anyone know what "Enterprise Activation" is?
    Thanks
    EDIT: sorted out the formatting
Message Edited by Andy on 07-26-2008 09:21 AM

I also had problems syncing my 8330 Blackberry with my Mac with a program called PocketMac and after installing and reinstalling the program several times and syncing for hours on end (the program was just sitting their), I also spent $49.95 for PocketMac Tech Support. Still no results. I did a little more research and I found a program that I thought was easy to install as long as you follow the simple instructions and it worked great, the program is The Missing Sync for Blackberry Version 2.0.1. it cost $39.95 it is available at www.markspace.com.

  • IGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard Driver for Curve 8330

I just got the IGO Stowaway Ultra-Slim, my Curve 8330 can see it under discovery, and asks for code, I type in 123 enter and 123 on the keyboard and no response,, I have been been following all sorts of links but no luck, The IGO Site (thinkoutside) is terrible and advises they have discontinued support for their keyboards..
HAS anyone been sucessful getting the two devices to link up?
If I don't get it to work, I am putting it back on EBAY,,,
    Thanks in advance
    D

    Hi...
In the quick setup here are the bullets....
    Configuring the keyboard:
    1. From the BlackBerry main screen, launch the Stowaway Keyboard application.
    2. Select Yes at the "Enable Bluetooth?" prompt.
    3. On some BlackBerry devices, when launching the Keyboard application, you may see an
"Insufficient Permissions" status. In this case, it is necessary to change the BlackBerry's
application permissions for the Stowaway keyboard application. The following permissions
must be set to "Allow": Bluetooth, Interprocess Communications, Device Settings,
Keystroke Injection, and Security Timer Reset. If any of these options are set to "Deny",,
the keyboard application will provide an "Application Permissions" button that will take you
directly to the Permissions screen. The options will have already been set correctly for you, you
need only Save them with the BlackBerry "Save" menu option. (Note: If a "Device Options"
button displays instead when you launch the Stowaway Keyboard application, you will be given
manual instructions for setting and saving these permissions.)
    4. Once the Application Permissions have been saved, place the keyboard in Discoverable
mode by simultaneously pressing the <Ctrl> <Left Fn> <Right Fn> keys on the Stowaway
Ultra-Slim Keyboard. This is indicated by the Keyboard Status Light (above the <T> key),
    flashing green once per second.
    5. Within the Stowaway application, select "Connect to Keyboard" from the menu.
    6. If prompted, enter the numeric-only passkey of (1-9 digits of your choosing) on the
BlackBerry device using the dialpad, and press the Trackball or Track Wheel button or the
    <Enter> button.
    7. Type the same passkey on the keyboard using <LFn+numbers> using the number row, and
press <Enter> on the Stowaway Ultra-Slim keyboard. If the passkey process succeeds, the
keyboard should be connected within a few seconds.
    8. You may receive a prompt to "Allow connection to a local port?". Select "Yes", and the
driver will be available for connecting to your Blackberry.
