Pocketmac sync with BlackBerry is taking so long.

Please help! I have a mac with a leopard OS and I downloaded pocketmac for my BlackBerry Curve 8330 so that I could sync my contacts and calender. I use iCal and Address Book. At first everything appears fine, it two devices connect and the sync starts, about half way through when it gets to my calender it stays there for almost an hour! I really don't have that many appointments in there but I have only been able to complete a sync once and that was the first time I attempted it. Is this normal? For the sync to take upwards of 2 hours?

Welcme to the FRums!
I am not familiar with the pocket mac, but a BB friend sent me this link - see if this answers any of your questions

Syncing with iPad mini does no longer work since latest update of iTunes and iPad mini

    Hi grecokev,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
You mention that your iPod nano is no longer recognized by iTunes after an update. Reinstalling iTunes is a good troubleshooting step, and if the device still doesn't appear in iTunes, try the following steps next:
Turn off your computer and your iOS device or iPod, then turn them on again.
Check to make sure that you've installed all required updates for your computer.
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might work only to charge those products and might not transmit data. Also, if you're using a third-party case or extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.
You can find these steps in this troubleshooting article:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
If the steps above don't solve it, see the section of the article called "Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed" for some additional steps to try on your PC.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • Syncing with Blackberry Pearl(Tmo)

I am having trouble syncing with Address Book without losing info on Blackberry. I.E. If I have more than one address in BB, it does not get copied. Any hints?

I am having similar issues. Are you using PocketMac?
I think key to fixing the problem is the field mapping discussed on p50 or 51 of the PocketMac manual.

  • My iphone 4s was originally sync with a computer I no longer have and now it won't sync with icloud because I can't turn on the sync portion on the phone because it only recognizes the computer I no longer have

I have an iPhone 4s  I have gone to iTunes and everything has been synced in the clouds.
Buuuttttt when I go to my iPhone which I purchased last year in 2012 I started it up with a computer I no longer have.
When I go to setting and then go to "iTunes Wi-Fi Sync"
I get the following message:  Sync will resume when -----Pc is available.  well this computer is no longer available.  And the area on the iphone showing up is in grey so it won't allow me to syn via wi-fi
I downloade some txt messages alerts a long time ago and no matter what I try I can't get them on my phone.  they show up in iTunes but can't get them to my sound section on my phone.

  • IOS7 syncing with MS Outlook 2010 no longer syncs all the contact information

With the new iOS7 on an iPhone 4s, syncing with MS Outlook 2010 on win XP, the phone no longer syncs all the contact information as it used to before I updated to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1, and now ignores the "Home" addresses I have on Outlook.  It also apprears to miss some other bits of information too, but the home addresses are key for when I am away from the computer. How can I resolve this syncing error? Thank you.

The same thing is happening to me since upgradng to iOS7, although I am syncing contacts with Mac contacts, not Outlook.

  • Mac Calendar, Notes, and Tasks not syncing with Blackberry Bold

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro with out of the box with OS X Mountain Lion Installed.  Downloaded and installed the latest version of the Blackberry Desktop Software. Quickly realized that I am unable the sync the Mac Address Book with my BlackBerry Bold 9930 while the iCloud is enabled.  Once disabled, the my Address Book syncs like it used to.
Calendars, however, are not syncing.  I have tried several ways, including disableing the iCloud and creating New Calendars both "On My Mac" as well as "On iCloud" without success.   The error is as follows:
"There are no writable calendars available for syncing on this computer."
I am confident that once the solution to the writable calendars is found it will automatically resolve the syncing of Tasks too.  Please advise how I can solve this problem.
Secondly, I noticed that Mountain Lion comes equipped with an independent Notes App. Initially I thought this to be a really cool new feature of Mountain Lion when compared to my previous experiences with Snow Leopard.  For simplicity, I initially deleted all my old notes from the BlackBerry and transfered the notes files which were backed up from my previous MacBook Pro to the BlackBerry.  The tranfer occured without a hitch.  A few days later, I realized that eventhough my notes were syncing without a hitch, my edits were not being saved.  I.e. edits made on the Mac were not syncing forward to the BlackBerry and vice versa.  So I lost some content.  When trying to trouble shoot the problem I realized that the Desktop Software was programed to sync with "Apple Mail Notes" on the Mac, and not the Notes App.  So bascially, the notes were syncing from the wrong source and everytime I synced them, the notes on the Blackberry were being replaced by the original notes that I had moved over from my Old Mac.  How can I re-set/re-program the Desktop software to sync with the notes in the Notes app?  Or, where can I access these "Apple Mail Notes" So that I can make edits and add/delete notes so that they sync accurately?
    Help!
    Thanks.
    Mo

Doesn't look like there's a way to sync BlackBerry MemoPad memos with Apple Notes.
Apparently Apple's Notes app doesn't talk to Apple's Sync Services (older versions of Apple Mail do) - BlackBerry Desktop talks to the Apple apps using Sync Services. Sadly Notes still isn't playing nice, so BlackBerry can't sync notes.
p.s. Microsoft Outlook 2011 DOES talk to Sync Services, but it only syncs my memo headers, and no text. *curls into ball*

  • Outlook 2013 Calendar syncing with Blackberry Q10 error

Hi, i am facing a big challenge while syncing the Outlook 2013 calendar with blackberry Q10 through Blackberry Link Software.
When syncing to BB, I get sync error "The following reoccurring event could not be synced: 13-Oct-14 - MD Mtg with Mgmt. Remove the event and sync again". The error refers to an event for a particular date. Practically, there is no such event in
    outlook for that particular date.
I have tried syncing other calendars from the same outlook file successfully but failing to do with that particular calendar. I have also tried to sync the same calendar from outlook 2010 from different OS without any success. I am running Windows 7 - 64bit
    OS.
I am running all latest updated patches from Microsoft and Blackberry for both OS.
This calendar is very important as it has more than 3000 event entries.
Please help me to resolve the same at earliest since the issue seems to be in particular Outlook 2013 calendar file. I suppose there could be some hidden entry for that particular date which is causing syncing to fail.
Kindly let me know if you require any further information.

    Hi,
This generaly means there is a problem with the indicated event, which cannot be sync'd to BlackBerry. You have to delete it before resyncing the calendar.
If the entry does not appear for the date mentioned in the message, it may be located on one of the historic dates according to the recurrence pattern.
Or you can use the tool of MFCMAPI to delete a hiden or corrupted calendar event:

  • Syncing with Blackberry 8330

Can I sync from my Palm computer program to my Blackberry 8330 phone?  The Blackberry doesn't list Palm OS as one of the operative systems it automatically connects with.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Hello dougloving and welcome to the Palm forums.
You are correct, you can't sync your BlackBerry with Palm Desktop.  What you need to do is purchase a copy of Microsoft Outlook if you don't already have a license for it.  Then sync your Palm with Palm Desktop one last time.  Next, change your HotSync conduits from Palm Desktop to Microsoft Outlook using the icon in Start > All Programs > Palm.  Once you get the Outlook conduits configured (the Palm E2 user guide will help you set up the conduits), sync your E2 with Outlook.
Once you have the Palm/Outlook sync working, you can then sync your BlackBerry to Outlook and have both devices updating Outlook.
    Hope that helps,

  • Syncing with blackberry

How can I get my ringtones, pictures, videos, and contacts from my blackberry tour to my new iphone?

All content transferred from a computer to an iPhone is transferred via the iTunes sync/transfer process. Music (including ringtones), video, podcasts, etc. must be in your iTunes library on your computer. Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. Get the contacts from your BB in a supported application on your computer. With Windoze, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with syncing calendar events, or with the address book used by Outlook Express or by Windows Mail depending on the Windoze version your computer is running. With a Mac, this can be with the Address Book for contacts, and with iCal for calendar events.

  • Disassociate 8310 from previous Desktop Manager/Redirector sync with Laptop that I no longer have.

I recently sync'ed BB 8310 with BB Desktop Manager and Redirector on a computer that I no longer have. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the RIM 'server' emails that I would receive daily (approx. 20-40 emails per day)...
Is there a way to disassociate my BB from this previous synch? Please Help... I am so tired of grabbing my phone to see another RIM system message Argh!
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]
Hopefully that will stop them, since you don't have access to the old PC any longer.

  • Ical not syncing with Blackberry Curve when using iCloud

I recently signed up to sync my contacts and iCal with iCloud. I manually sync my Contacts and iCal using hte BlackBerry DesktopSoftware. Since around the time I activated iCloud, I do not see any new events on my Blackberry Curve 8320. Contacts sync fine. Also, the BB DesktopSoftware shows a calendar that I had created on the MacBook using BusyCal but has since been deleted and no longer shows on iCal.
I have spent hours with the BB Tech support (on Mac) and they have told me that it is a known issue with the Sync Server software on 10.7.4 when also using iCloud. They say this has been fixed in MacOS 10.8.
Anyone else has seen this issue and is there any other solution without having to upgrade to 10.8? I am perfectly fine with NOT using iCloud if that is what I have to do. I just want the manual sync to BB to work with iCal.
Is there a way to "reset" the Sync Server software to its original state?
    Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Since I don't have any definitive confirmation from Apple or BlackBerry on whether Mountain Lion will fix this or not, I simply deleted iCloud from my Mac and now everything syncs properly.

  • Syncing with Blackberry Desktop Software

Hi, I just attempted syncing my contacts on my Blackberry with my MacBook for the first time, and it seems the "two way" sync only went one way and replaced all of my contacts on my BB with the ones on my Mac Address Book (which there where none of, so I currently have no contacts). If it's a two-way sync, where are the contacts from my Blackberry? Shouldn't they be on my computer somewhere? And if not, is there a way to recover them?
It would be nice if there was some warning that told me to back up my Blackberry contacts before allowing me to sync, which I assumed meant that the Blackberry contacts would be transferred over to my Mac as well. If my BB contacts are gone, that is incredibly frustrating and misleading.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello adevries16
You made some backup your information with either BB9360 Desktop Manager as the Blackberry Protect
If you have a backup you can restore and retrieve your contacts and also all the information of your Blackberry.
