Pod Cast step by step - Novice inside.

OK, so I want to take a track from itunes (aac format)bring it into garage band and create a pod cast and then send it into itunes, create and rss file and place that and a link on my webpage .. This cant be as difficult as it seems, can it?
Do I need feedburner or all those other apps or can I do everything with my macbook?
If anyone has step by step directions it would be greatly appreciated. Dumb down the directions as possible

Skype works really well - if the person initiating the call does not have anything else running on their computer and they have a good internet connection.

You can use any good digital recorder in place of the iRiver shown - I actually now use a Marantz PMD-660 - which is definitely a little overkill.

Why can't I play pod casts on my touch?

I just got my first ipod, a refurbished 3G touch. I went to try to dowload a pod cast and I recieved an error message saying that it could not be played on this ipod. What is going on?

What iOS is on the iPod?
Was the podcast in the podcast section of your iTunes library and did you sync the podcast to the iPod?

i have succesfully added a video podcast to itunes thru iweb. the pod cast is up and running on itunes. i made the second podcast and put it into iweb. how do i get it to go to itunes? thanks for helpin the newb!

Find the xml file belonging to the second podcast and note its URL. It's very likely at the root level of the folder the second site is in. Submit that to iTunes as a new podcast, just as you did with the first one.

Iphone switching between pod cast and Ipod shuffle

Hello, I have an IPhone 3 G and while I am running at my gym it keeps switching between my IPod and my podcast player. I have checked my internet connections and it is fine. I know I am not hitting the shuffle buttoon because I turn the sceen saver off, after I have selected the Pod Cast music that I like. Is it the head phones or the IPhone?

One thing that might help out.
The button on the headphones does not have the ability to shuffle media files.
One click to pause or play. two clicks to advance to the next track.

I am the VP for an adult minor league football organization and I wanted to be able to put my videos up on Itunes as pod-cast. First I have no clue as how to do this and I would like to charge for the cast as well.. Anyone have any experience doing this? Sorry If this under the wrong topic

I use the Zen Micro Explorer and select the 'Import' function. You gotta browse to you Podcasts, select them and then transfer. Personally, I change the Genre to Podcast so they're all in the same menu on the Micro.

ITune delete pod casts when syncing

Hi, I download few pod casts on my iPhone and iPad but I don’t subscribe them through iTunes. I just use "Get more episodes" link in iPod application. Also in my iTunes I have not selected pod cast sync option. But every time I sync my iPhone or iPad it removes all my pod casts. Is there any way to stop this happening please?

Either subscribe to the podcasts and use iTunes to sync them to the device, or stop syncing.
The device (and iTunes) are doing exactly what they are designed to do.

Pod Cast slow down

This one has been bugging me for a while.I love podcasts and are a little disappointed in the lack of options on the Nokia Pod Cast appMy N96 is being slowed down by amongst other things the weight of podcasts I have downloaded.Would it be to simple to have an option allowing the user to set how many episodes are kept before the old ones get removed.If I blanket remove them all the next time I sync the device they all come in again. Is there a better podcast option?

Welcome to the forum.
If you have created either a Roll, or Crawl, with the Animation Preset, then you will want to increase the Duration of that Title, to slow it down. You can do this by click+dragging on the Tail of the Title.
Or, you can create a static Title, then animate it by Keyframing the Fixed Effect>Motion>Position over time. That allows for much more control.

Why do I get this error? Nano (name) not found import pod cast yet on desk?

Check out the error yet look at arrows, clearly the ipod is on the desk - it synchs everything except this pod cast that I haven't finished (is there also a setting to save podcasts not finished?)..

Cannot listen to blog talk radio pod casts says episode is temporarily unavailable

For the last month I have not been able to listen an any pod casts downloaded to my I-Phone (even though the pod cast is downloaded to my phone). It says the pod cast is UNAVAILABLE. Underneath this it says: This episode is "temporarily unavailable." I have checked my settings on my WI FI. I have been able to listen all pod casts that are not from Blog Talk Radio. I have checked the feed on my phone and the pod cast is downloaded. It just won't play. I have also check the updates to the pod casts. I have even reset the phone. Everything is fine. Any suggestions?

This is bad - I have an Apple automated response that they got my report on 12/6, 12/10 and 12/14, and I haven't heard anything from them since the 6th when I got one reply that told me to do things I tried before reporting the problem. Between the 6th and 10th I replied to their response 4 times and they ignored me, forcing me to report a problem with two more items that wont download but getting no response.
How do they get away with this kind of behavior, especially for someone with FIVE Core 2 Duo macs and thousands of dollars of of iTunes store purchases? I'm getting really ******.

What happens when you try?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all media and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Down loading Pod Casts

Good day, helpful Mac users:
I just got a BlackBerry and I'm trying to down load pod casts.
When I when I open the radio station web page with their pod casts I get the following:

The choices are stop the script or continue. Either way the pod cast will down load with the quicktime plug in and then I can save as source.
So I'm getting the pod cast but the error message bugs me. Thanks for any ideas.

Are you trying to download the podcasts onto your Mac or directly to the Blackberry?
If you are on your Mac, it sounds like there is a problem with their web page. Try turning javascript off, or try to locate and download the podcast from within iTunes.

Pod Casts - auto downloading not working

On a WIN7 PC, running ITunes v12.0.1.26 I subscribe to multiple Pod Casts.
All are marked to
Subscribe = ON
Limit Episodes = NO
Download Episodes = ON
Delete Played Episodes = ON
Only the first pod cast in the list is following these rules.
The other pod casts do not auto download.
If I hit the REFRESH button, it shows that the last update was in 12/2014, when I manually downloaded the latest updates for that pod cast.
Any ideas?

I finally solved this by changing the Auto-Lock settings. Mine were set to Auto Lock in 2 minutes. I changed the setting to 15 minutes and my New Yorker Magazine downloaded without incident -- although it took much more than 15 minutes. (I now suspect that my prior setting was the reason my Newsstand publications never downloaded automatically.) I have now reset Auto-Lock to "Never" to test whether that works in the future for automatic downloads --basically because my DSL speed is not optimum.
