Podcast Album Cover Overrides Album's Album Cover?

It seems that the artwork for a podcast (Scott Sigler's Infections -- which is the same feed that he's sent a number of audiobooks out over) overrides the artwork for a collection of tracks that are all in the same album within that feed (Ancestor, to be precise). iTunes collects all of these tracks into a single album when viewed in a playlist, but displays the podcast's artwork next to them in the "grouped with artwork" view. Each of the tracks has the same artwork, which is different from the podcast's artwork.
Thoughts on how to convince iTunes to display the actual album cover, rather than the artwork assigned to the entire podcast?

Changing podcast album name??

Hi all,
I created a podcast about two months ago. However, I've recently decided I need to reformat the name, and the album name.
Old Album Name: Regeneration - The Epistle of 1st Peter Series
New Album Name: Regeneration - The First Epistle of Peter Series
I went through and changed all my .mp3 files to reflect the new change, and then also updated the.xml file for the feed.
While all 10 of the episodes are appearing in one feed within my iTunes application (for Windows) under the new name, when I go to my Music library within Windows 7 File Manager, there are now two different directories. One uses the original album name, while the other uses the newer name.
Next, I unsubscribed, and deleted the feed off my laptop computer, and then resubscribed. However, it's still not creating one physical directory.
What is the proper procedure to change a podcast album name, and get that information into the iTunes Music Store so that all episodes are in the newer named album directory?
I made the change approximately eight 10 hours ago, so I know iTunes has had the time to crawl through the .xml and update their feed.

You're misunderstanding what I said earlier though.
I went ahead and completely REMOVED the feed out of my local copy of iTunes. After unsubscribing, I deleted the now empty local folder within File Explorer. In essence, my copy of iTunes shouldn't know that I ever subscribed to the podcast feed.
I then subscribed again to the feed. Logically, it should create a brand new folder within Windows because the feed only references the new album name. HOWEVER, two albums are still being created locally on my computer, with the folders being populated with the pre-change album names/files.

A recent album purchase / one song is showing a podcast for cover

I recently bought a album from itunes. Then the next day I downloaded a podcast.
After I watched the podcast, I listened to the album, when it got to the seventh song, I noticed that
the album cover for that song is showing a clip from the podcast and not the album.(But is playing the song)
All of the songs for that album show the proper cover. Anyone know how to fix this?

I fixed this by deleting the song and the podcast and then replaced it back into the ipod .

Why do podcast album view links no longer work in iTunes 11?

I've recently updated to iTunes 11, and now the podcasts I have that contain links no longer work. What can I do?

Duplicate your copy of iTunes 10.x before upgrading to iTunes 11 (or restore it from a backup) and use iTunes 10.x to listen to (and in particular access the links in) podcasts. Further, file a bug with Apple that these links don't work when the album art is displayed in the album art mini-player.

Podcast album art not showing

We just created a podcast feed and have not been able to get the Album art to show up. I contacted iTunes Store Support and they were unable to help and directed me to this forum.
As far as I can tell, our feed is correctly formed, but the album art still isn't displaying. I've read that a number of users have had problems with this? Music, Podcast & Album gone

I got an iPod Touch since 4 month and I really love it, I had few bugs but nothing serious until today: I have downloaded few podcast that made all my songs, album and podcast disappeared from my iPod. When I plug my iPod to my PC, iTunes still shows my music but it doesnt on my iPod.
I have bought many albums, spend lot of money in music and I'm just wondering if someone in Apple care of this or am I just going to be another victim of Apple bug. I want my music back! Where is the support or the warranty of Apple?? I mean after that experience I don't think I'l ever buy something on App Store or iTunes. I'll just share this experience with all my friend as I've probably lost £200 of music. I am a professional, music is my work I can't believe that there is no other solution than "accept it" I want my money back this is not my fault if your product is not working good. Give me a real solution!

How to get Podcast Album Artwork?

Hello everyone!
Most of the Podcasts I am subscribing to come without the Album Artworks displayed on the iTunes Store.
Does anyone know how to get them, since the +[right click] > Get Album Artwork+ method doesn't work for Podcasts?
Some of them cannot be found on the Internet...

Enhanced Podcast Album Art

When I am listening to an Enhanced Podcast (one that has different chapters and Album Art for each chapter) on my iPhone 3GS the album art and chapter title doesn't change on my Lock Screen. It just displays the first album art and first chapter title throughout the whole podcast. Please let me know how to get the Album Art and Chapter titles to change on the lock screen as the podcast plays. I am using iPhone 3.0.1 Firmware.

Why can' t I got certain podcast(NBA Today) artwork?

Can someone please help us? We've tried all sorts of
different ways of getting the "album art" to display
in the iTunes store but it just stays as the default
iTunes picture. Any step by step intructions someone

I looked at your feed for your podcast and if you just want the album art to appear in iTunes then just add edit this line in your feed
<itunes:image>http://www.fanstar411.com/podcast/podcast2411.jpg</itunes:image>
change it to
<itunes:image href="http://www.fanstar411.com/podcast/podcast2411.jpg" />
If you want your mp3's to have album art of their own use a program to edit the mp3 tags

Podcast Album Artwork not showing in iTunes Store.

Every website and application with the exception of the iTunes store shows the album artwork for our podcast. What could be causing this? The artwork is of valid format and is 600x600 which was recommended by the application and a few tutorials. However, when you search our podcast in the iTunes store, it shows the default "Podcast" artwork. I would post what the podcast details are, but I'm not sure of the rules against it.

The artwork shown in iTunes Store comes from the tag 'itunes:image' which must be in the podcast descriptor area (not attached to any specific episode/enclosure). Try testing the URL you include in that tag from a generic location such as a library or internet cafe to ensure the URL is visible to the rest of the Internet.

Itunes 12 - can't delete podcast album art in new get info dialogue

In iTunes 12, the new "Get Info" dialogue box has an album art. There is a button at the bottom to add new artwork, but I don't see a way to remove artwork (in the case of wrong or duplicate artwork).

Cannot change podcast album art

I tried to change the album art through feedburner, but I cannot get my pic to show up - just a broken link symbol. I have waited for 3 days but still nothing. Can anyone help?

A lot people are having this problem, including me --- but nothing is being said about how to fix it, or if its even seen as a "problem."

Podcast Album Artwork won't upload.

My first podcast was uploaded about a week ago and I haad no idea what I was doing, I just assumed (I use libsyn for my host) where it said image would be the art work, I now know that it wasn't. So i've search everywhere on libsyn but I can't find the spot for it. So i've tried to add the extra rss feed code for the image but I don't think that has worked. Please help!

I have the same problem with music files. I use itunes to help memorize stuff for school. If I take a file into an audio editor and alter it (cut a piece or add to it) and then bring it back into itune, I can not add artwork or lyrics. It will let me paste them there but when I close the dialogue box everything I've entered disappears. This has been frustrating me to no end because it was not true of previous versions of itunes. I used to be able to take one big file and chop it into little ones and add appropriate artwork and lyrics. It was a great help in memorizing vocabulary lists for foreign languages. I think the intuitive code that allows itunes to fetch lyrics and artwork is the problem. Does anyone know if there's a way to toggle or disable it?

IPOD TOUCH - podcasts=crash- Cover art mixed up- Cover Flow HElp

I have a 2nd Gen Ipod Touch - Best thing ever =)
but I have a couple of problems that may have been adressed before
but -
1. When I play NOVA VODCAST| PBS podcasts ( only certain ones) like Brain Trauma or Stem cell Or SAVING HUBBLE The ipod shows -- random white dots then it crashes and takes quite a bit of time to reboot -Are you guys getting the same thing?
2.Why can't I delete songs?
3. I have a video on my ipod but the cover art for it is from some other TV shoe I got from itunes but then deleted. Only for 1 video , odd
4. When I go to Cover flow - certian albums just dissapear when they're at the center however they appear. Also in cover songs are listed under the album but cerrtian songs when played dont display the album
5. The time changes whenever I sync- Its annoying _ anything other than opening itunes beforehand ?

It's because iTunes is a piece of crap! Corrupt album art for cover flow has been a big problem for the longest time....and Apple WON'T fix it! In a earlier version of iTunes (ver 8 I think), there was a setting that people found out would fix the artwork if it got mixed up (I think it was the "sync artwork" checkbox but I am not sure). With version 9 however, Apple, in all it's infinite wisdom, decided to remove this option and now the only way to fix this issue is to RESTORE!! And that is completely B.S!! I am getting so sick and tired of this crap! I added a album (WOW....10 whole songs), and now every one of my 105 albums are showing the wrong artwork! Apple needs to remove this "database" bullsh** and go back to reading the info DIRECTLY from the tags.

Podcasts won't combine into one album.

Ever since I upgraded to 9.0.0.70 some of my Podcasts (not all of them) will not combine (append) into the original Podcast album. As I download a new issue, each new Podcast issue creates an ablum of its own. I can't seem to get them to combine into one album - the original album. Why is this happening? How can I combine the new issues into the original album?

I resolved my issue.
Do the following:
1. Go to settings/main menu and make sure the podcast setting is on.
2. Connect your iPod to your computer and launch iTunes. On the iTunes menu go to edit/preferences/podcasts and click on the iPod preferences button. Make sure you have the podcasts you want updated checked. (WARNING!!! This step will likely erase and podcasts you have on your iPod now). It should warn you of this.
This resolved it for me and it now works like a charm. You May not even have to do step 2. Let me know how it works out.
