Podcast disappear?

Hi all
I sync podcast through itune7 to IPOD's podcast category. I can see differnt podcast shows and episodes in itune and in IPOD's podcast category when connected the IPOD to the computer. But when I disconnecte the IPOD from the computer, there is only podcast shows' name showing in IPOD, not the episodes. Though I can find the episodes through recently added or artist, it's annoying. Can someone help?
Thank you.

I have a similar issue. I have a podcast that I submitted to iTunes years ago and was accepted and listed, but now it is no longer listed.
Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

My podcasts will no longer sync with my ipod classic. Also when I tried to sync in itunes, the category "podcast" disappeared under my ipod listed in itunes.

Are you sure your iPod Classic is configured to sync podcasts to your device?  You'll want to double check by taking a quick look at your iPod's Podcast configuration tab in iTunes.
To access this tab, plug your iPod in and click on it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes when it appears to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Podcasts tab and select it.  Under this tab you can configure how and what podcasts are synced to your device. If you make any changes, be sure to click theApply button in the lower right hand corner.

  • I DOWNLOADED A NEW ITUNES VERSION AND MY PODCASTS DISAPPEARED FROM THE LIBRARY

When I downloaded the second to last version of iTunes to a Windows PC, my podcasts disappeared from my iTunes library and seem to be elsewhere in my computer. Yet iTunes still says I have 80 podcasts. And podcasts still download to somewhere in my computer and sync to my iPod. However, there are some that are on my iPod that I can't find on my computer so I can't delete them. I don't know where to look other than the search function, which hasn't shown me all the podcasts that are stuck on my iPod.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes a couple of times. No luck. A new version of iTunes came along and I downloaded that. No luck. Don't know what else to do.
    Any help appreciated.

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.

  • Podcasts disappear from Ipod Classic

I recntly purchased the ipod classic 120gb, and dowloaded a number of podcasts which I have been playing. However, yesterday I was viewing one (podcast) when the ipod froze for about 15 seconds, when I was able to go back into the menu all the podcasts disappeared except the one I was viewing.
Can anyone, someone, explain why this has happened?????
    I love my ipod!
    I need answers.

It sounds like you use the Sync function to update your iPod (that is the best way). There is a setting which controls which Podcasts stay on your iPod, and it's this you need to change.
Connect the iPod to your computer. Highlight the device <your iPod> (left hand side bar) and then click on the Podcasts tab. On that tab, change the various options to the one you want. It probably says "Keep all unplayed episodes" which means it will remove a Podcast from your iPod when you have listened to/watched it.
Change these settings to (for instance) "Keep all episodes" or "keep last x episodes". (I'm currently using my laptop which does not have my iTunes installed so I may have the actual wording wrong - but I hope you get my drift.)

  • Podcasts disappear from aTV after listening

Bit frustrated! Can any one tell me if I can stop podcasts disappearing from the listing on my Apple TV after I have listened to them? I want to listen to some more than once.
There must be a way; I find it difficult to believe someone has decided we will want to listen to any given podcast only once.
This is a problem since iTunes 10, but I stress this may be because have just noticed it happening - I'm not saying it's definitely an iTunes 10 issue. I have podcast syncing switched off (so they all stream from my Mac), but I have tried syncing and the same thing happens.
    Thanks,
    S.

Yes; YOU may have tried it and the problem didn't appear for YOU. Thank you. I note you're not using a Dual PPC Mac, or OS 10.5.
I was requesting help from others who may have the time and inclination, so I could tell whether or not YOUR setup is unusual in some way. I'm not satisfied with anecdotal reports from only two people (you and me). Please don't put other people off helping me.
I feel its too early to say how likely it is that the problem is specific to my media files: If my media files (downloaded just like everyone else's are), iTunes, the Mac or the aTV have suddenly started behaving oddly, on their own, then I feel it's slightly more likely to be a bug somewhere than anything else. I'm trying to find out for sure, though.
And remember, some one else is having a not too dissimilar problem.
Do you know how I can report a bug?
    Thanks again,
    S.

  • Podcasts disappear with new update

So, the update downloaded and when I synced my iTouch, all of my podcasts disappeared as though I have none on my computer. Can't find them anywhere. WT.... How do I get what I've downloaded back on my computer and iTouch?

We just released an update to the DPS tools that addresses the issues around HTML/iFrame and buttons in release 25. You can download the updated components by following the links at http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_dps_install_en.

  • Podcasts disappear or freeze

I've figured out how to subscribe to Podcasts and sync them.
    But two problems keep occurring:
    1) BBC podcasts freeze the nano between shifting screens now and then.
    2) Podcasts disappear from the nano. At first, I thought it must be a setting that removes the podcast after listening.
But yesterday it removed one that I hadn't listened to, and left one that I had listened to.
    Any suggestions?

are these by any chance video podcasts?   If so it looks like those have now been moved to the Video app on your handheld device.  So you go to the Music app for audio podcasts and Video app for videos.  I suppose that was logical to somebody but frankly I wish they had left it alone.

  • Paid podcast disappears when refreshing iTunes

I suscribe to the Jim Rome podcast on iTunes 11.5 and started downloading it on a new Windows 8 computer. But whenever I try to refresh iTunes to download my other podcasts, the Jim Rome podcasts disappear from my computer. This is a paid podcast and also this is the only podcast this happens to. I have tried several things to fix this problem, but it keeps recurring.

    This link:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/apm-marketplace-morning-report/id137329814
opens the Store browser page: click 'View in iTunes' then in iTunes 'Subscribe Free' and it should appear under 'Podcasts' - worked OK for me.

  • HT3281 Podcasts disappeared from iTunes library and iPhone podcast app.

All of my Podcast subscriptions and content suddenly disappeared from my iTunes library and from the Podcast app on my iPhone.  Checked iTunes to make sure it's running the latest version of software, and it is.  Music library appears to be OK.  How do I fix this and get my podcasts back?

This just happened to me this morning. I sat down to update my podcasts, and discovered that every podcast I was subscribed to that had any recent episodes (I'm thinking since the first of this year, but no way to tell a definite date for sure) had disappeared. When my iPhone synced, they disappeared from it, as well. I looked them up in the iTunes Store podcast directory, and had to resubscribe to every one of them. And some of them only make a limited number of old episodes available in iTunes, so I've lost some without ever getting to listen to them.
    *** Apple? This is nonsense!

  • Podcasts disappearing from Ipod

For some reason, a few months ago, my podcasts started disappearing off my ipod, it is an 80gig classic, so i prefer to leave them on there, i have checked in podcast settings that it is set to keep them, and i can't see any pattern emerging as to when or why they will disappear, they still exist on my hard drive and on itunes, but not on my ipod.
    Any ideas?

I had a similar problem when my old Keith and the Girl episodes. iTunes kept syncing them to my iPod causing iTunes to keep turning off Podcast syncing because it ran out of room even though I listened to most of them.
My solution was to turn off Podcast syncing in the iPod settings and just creating a custom playlist (and also set where Playcount is 0" to work around the Podcast bug that causes a file to be marked as played just when it's started). This also meant that I had to add "where Podcast is false" to all the other playlists, but at least I don't miss my Keith and the Girl episodes anymore AND it also works around iPod marking the file as played when I didn't complete the episode.
Also, in the sync options for the iPod, I turned off sync all music and did individual smart playlists.

  • One of my podcasts disappears soon after download. How do I stop this?

One of the podcasts I am subcribed to now disappears soon after downloading. When I sign onto Itunes again the same download starts. How do I revent this?

If this is an iCloud account the Outbox only appears when sending an email, so if it is still trying I suppose it should be showing now (not sure though, hard to replicate this)
    What type of email account?

  • Get buttons for podcasts disappeared after iTunes update

I updated iTunes to 10.5.3.3 the other day, and now the GET buttons for my subscribed podcasts have disappeared. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how do you fix it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Elesar

When this happened to me, a while ago, I downloaded iTunes (again) and ran the Repair option.
So, do not uninstall the current iTunes, but do download iTunes again. Run the installer and at some stage, you should see a Repair option. Use that.

  • The time stamp of my podcast disappeared, how do I get those back?

The running time of the podcasts on my iPhone have disappeared. It's not a big deal until I want to rewind to the "5:00" mark but I don't have a bar showing me the running times. Thanks.

The AirPlay icon will only appear in the Control Center when there is an AirPlay device turned on and connected to the same network as the iPad. If you are positive that the AirPlay device is on and connected Swipe up on your iPad screen to view the Control Center. If the AirPlay icon does not appear try a reset of the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

  • All podcasts disappear from iPhone whenever I sync with iTunes

I have a very annoying issue whenever I sync my iPhone with iTunes.
I download all podcasts on the iPhone directly, never in iTunes. But I still want to sync music etc. with iTunes.
I have not checked the checkbox for sync of Podcasts in the Podcasts tab, but everytime I sync the iPhone, all podcasts on the iPhone are removed. Why is this? This is not very consistent with how the rest of sync works, I have also left sync for Applications unchecked, and this does not result in all apps disappearing from the iPhone.
    Has anyone else experience this?
Btw, I am using iTunes on WinXP, at work...

    Hi,
Try resetting your Sync Services. See here to reset your sync services.
Let us know how it goes.

  • Why did my podcast disappear in the iTunes category

My podcast appeared in iTunes under the category specified its the XML doc. Then one day it disappeared. The podcast is still available in iTunes if I search it for it's name: "Chef Paul's Cookin' with Passion". I am wondering if I made a mistake in my .xml or if it just simply doesn't get enough taffic to keep it appearing in the category as it did when I first submitted. Can anyone answer this question?
    -W

I don't see it there. Maybe I just don't see it.
I have the following keywords in my .xml file:
    <itunes:keywords>food, chefs, cooking</itunes:keywords>
For the first couple of weeks it appeared when I typed them in the search and now it doesn't. Do you know if I am doing something wrong?
Also, does the positioning in iTunes relate to the quantity of traffic each podcast gets?

  • Podcasts disappear after having had them on iPod already

    Hey all,
I have an iPod 5G 60GB Video. I have got two problems which only occurr with specific podcasts (my favorite podcast, in my case TikiBarTV):
    Problem One:
    1.
a.) I had the first 9 episodes on my iPod.
b.) Then I downloaded the remaining ones (episode 10a and so on)
c.) After I had done that and sync´d my iPod with iTunes the first 9 episodes were gone and still are.
I can download them a million times; some podcasts always appear in my iTunes but they never appear on my iPod and after each new synchronization they are gone again in the iTunes menu.
    Problem Two:
    2. I have downloaded all TikiBarTV episodes on their website (Quicktime format). But I cannot drag and drop them into my iTunes Video folder - why ?
Thanx for your help. I am desperate for Tiki.

... and another comment clarifying the topic: I had them on my iPod only one time at the very beginning but since then I always only managed to get them into my iTunes but never onto the iPod again... what a shame
