Podcast error message help on iTunes

For some reason, my podcast comes up with an error message on iTunes when I try to submit it.  Any ideas will be much appreciated. Here is the feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/culturechallenged/podcasts1

Your media file has the .mp3 extension but is in fact an AAC file and should have the extension .m4a. As a result it will not play in iTunes.
You need to rename the file with the .m4a extension and amend the feed accordingly. Presumably WordPress will amend the 'type' attribute automatically - it should read 'audio/x-m4a'.
You have an 'image' tag but not the 'itunes:image' tag required to show your image in the Store. This shouldn't prevent your feed from being accepted but if you add this tag the image must be jpg or png, 1400 x 1400 px and less than 500k or it will be rejected.

Try downloading the songs from a different device. If you are doing it from your iOS device, try form your computer.

Did you downgrade iTunes? What version is listed in Help> About iTunes?
If you don't have iTunes 10.5.2, download it from here -> http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you have iTunes 10.5.2, try re-creating your iTunes library.

  • Error message -48: The itunes library file cannot be saved.

    Hello,
When I open up my itunes i get an error message 48 - the itunes library file cannot be saved. All my data is there - music, podcasts etc. Just wondering if this error message means anything, if so what, and what I can do to fix it?
    Thanks!

I just called Apple Support and I think they helped me, but I'm still waiting to see if the error message returns. I was experiencing the same problem. Whenever I started iTunes, I would get the -48 error message. Everything else was working fine. Apple Support instructed me to delete some files from a folder and restart my pc. I did this and it seems to have worked. The folder is on my C:/ drive. Using Windows Explorer, I went to my C:/ drive and then opened the following folders in this order: "Documents and Settings", "Administrator", "Application Data", "Apple Computer", "iTunes", "iPod Software Updates". Inside the iPod Software Updates folder, I found four files which I deleted. I then emptied my trash can and restarted my pc. After I restarted my pc and opened iTunes, the error message did not come up. So it looks like my problem has been solved. Just some minor glitch having to do with the last update. I should mention that I did just get an iPod Classic 80 gig which replaced my 30 gig iPod Photo which just died.

  • Error message when updating Itunes...can not open Itunes program

I am recieving error message when updating Itunes for my computer.  The error message reads "MSVCR80.dll is missing and the other error message reads Error 7  (Windows error 126)"  I can not open my Itunes.  I have reloaded the Itunes onto my computer but still have the same error messages.  Please help.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • I have been using itunes on my windows based pc for years but since installing the latest itunes update I have been getting the error message A required itunes component is not installed. Please reinstall itunes. (-42404)

I have been using itunes on my windows 64 bit laptop for years but since downloading the latest itunes 10.7 update whenever I opened itunes the error message 'A required itunes component is not installed. Please reinstall itunes (-42404)'
Itunes would still load and play music in my library and I could still sync my ipod but when loading a CD itunes would not recognise the album/tracks and I would need to type them manualing after uploading.
I have just bought the new iphone5 and went to sync the phone with itunes. itunes recognises the iphone when plugged in via the usb port or when wi fi is turned on but itunes will not allow the phone to sync.
I spent over an hour the other morning speaking to apple customer support and have ensured I have administer right and that UAC is turned off.
I was taken through msconfigure and adjusted the startup tab but still no joy.
In the end I was e-mailed instructions on how to uninstall and then reinstall itunes and component parts.
Now that I've uninstalled itunes when I try reinstalling I get the following messages during the download.
    The 1st message is;
'The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application  Support\Web kit.resources\inspector\Images\Spinner Inactive Selected.gif.'
    When I click ok the next message that appears sometime later during the install is;
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) Failed to start Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
The options I have are to abort, retry or ignore. If I retry the same message comes back and if I  abort or ignore the download continues and I then get the following message:
'Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run itunes Helper. Please uninstall itunes, then reinstall itunes again. Error 2'
After attempting to reinstall itunes only some components were installed however itunes would not open.
It would appear many people have experienced problems with this latest download!

'The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Web kit.resources\inspector\Images\Spinner Inactive Selected.gif.'
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Error Message 2122 on itunes 6.0.2.23

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue or has had this issue, but why is it that I can import songs off my Music CD's into itunes (the lastest version), but none of my playlists or songs will burn onto a blank CD that I insert?
It used to burn CD's before this update of itunes but now I can't. Why is that? Why can't I burn anything with itunes? I can burn data CD's with Roxio..I did that as a test to see if the Driver was corrupted and that's why I can't burn..but it turns out I can burn a CD just not with itunes anymore. What is this unknown error message 2122 that itunes keeps popping up whenever I try to burn any songs onto a blank CD with the software?
Please do tell me..because I have over 300 songs in itunes, some of which I bought at the music store and now I can't burn those songs on a CD...what is the point of itunes if the Burner is failing to Burn a CD???? If anyone has any idea about this, please share.
    Thank You

    Savita,
Let's start with the support site for your computer. Go there and click on the "Show All" link.
Download and install the updates labeled "Intel Mobile Chipset", "Philips SDVD6004 2X Slim DVD+RW", and "nVidia GeForce4 4200 Go".
If that doesn't fix the problem, come back and we'll try something else.
Error 2122 is a "bad write speed for media" error. You might also try deliberately setting your burn speed in the iTunes preferences to 16x and see if that helps. But iTunes should already be doing that if you have it set to maximum possible speed.

  • Can't install itunes - error message  "the folder "itunes" cannot be found

Help. I just bought a new Iphone and can't get itunes to load. I had itunes on my computer for several years for my nano - haven't synced up in about a year. Went to open it and got the following error message
The folder "itunes" cannot be found or created and is required. The default location for this folder is inside Mu Music folder"
I have uninstalled everything - quicktime, apple mobile, every single file. I have rebooted, run searches to make sure there were no files at all left - did it through control panel, search etc., rebooted and downloaded it again (this make about 5 times now) and still get that same message that the folder cannot be found. Help! I just blew about $400 in the Apple store!
    Can anyone help me?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Error message the file "itunes.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.

I had to do a system recovery with a prior date.  now I get an error message: the file "iTunes.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.  Anyone have a solution?

I know this is an old thread, but the information in it solved my current problem (Windows Vista, upgraded to iTunes 11.2 and resulted in this same .itl error message).
So, I'm here to thank turingtest2 for his excellent instructions to fix my problem. One of tt2's many detailed instructional tips). THANK YOU TURINGTEST2!
PS I'm generally reluctant to "mess with files and such, preferring to use Windows Restore, because it just doesn't seem right to me that end users of Apple devices should have to get into the guts of files and such. Sadly, I have finally just accepted that iOS updates never work right and I either have to deal with work-around fixes or never update. Eventually we do need to update or there will be other problems. All I can say is, I'm sure glad there are folks like turingtest2 here who spend so much time helping us.
