Podcast metadata and show information just won't update

The metadata and show information for my current podcast simply won't update on iTunes. Information such as author, category, subtitle won't up and as of this week the number of included episodes won't change no matter what changes we make from within our Wordpress site or directly to our feed. Can anyone spot what we might be doing wrong? Has anyone encountered this issue before?
We've were new and noteworthy in Comedy for two months, which was great... but we're not actually that funny!

In fact the Store is using the feed at http://feeds.feedburner.com/oddpodcast/yItF
This matches what's in the Store and when subscribing - the main Description on the Store page is drawn fro the 'itunes:summary' tag and matches it. The same ten episodes which are in this feed appear in the Store. The feed at the URL you quote has one further episode, earlier than the others at January 23rd, so its not being in the Feedburner feed may be something to do with the Feedburner settings limiting the number of episodes. Otherwise the feeds seem to be identical (I haven't checked them in detail) and match what's in the Store.
If something isn't matching your expectations please describe exactly what it is.

This is really hard to follow, even for us who keep an eye on every update and read every single post and have an imagination of update problems out there.
You tried to make digitalpublishing.acrobat.com (the "dashboard") the one-stop place for downloading and updating all necessary tools. good idea to make this the central point, because adobe.com download sections is a pain in the arse when trying to find updates for secondary tools like the DPS.
also, make it super-duper clear what version is the current and what versio are currently available. I already wrote about lining up version numbers months ago and you seem to get this working — but it is still a mess. 1.7 vs 1.1.7 vs. 2.0 vs. drop17 vs. 11.4.2.201111104_m_670635 7.5.5.16 (you can imagine where I took the latter from)

No it is not common.
Most have no issues.
Have you tried basics from the manual? Restart, reset, restore?
The warranty covers defects. If the iphone is defective, then they would replace it.

That message means that you have to restore the iPad using iTunes now. Something went wrong. This explains how to do it. Read it thoroughly before you start - and take note of the end of the article under Additional Information where it talks about using recovery mode. You might need to use it.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Different cable? Checked in Device Manager to verify the proper driver is installed and also manually installed the driver?

IPod just won't update!

I bought another iPod video today (after the first broke!) and just like that one, it won't update! It's currently running "Version 1.2" and whenever I load up iTunes, it tells me there is an update available, but when I click to update it takes a few minutes and reports that it couldn't update becuase no iPod is connected, and suddenly it disappears from the "Devices" list in iTunes. I thought maybe it was my computer- but it does this on all of mine (all running Windows XP) and I have iTunes 7.2.. is there any know soloution?

I have another question along the same lines: my GF just got a new 2G 4GB Red Nano for Christmas. I've been trying to update it and have had no luck. It is Windows formatted and I have been attempting to use it on a Windows XP machine. I have tried every single USB port (there are 8) and two different cords, but with no luck.
Every time I connect the Nano (and I've been unable to add music to it at this point) iTunes 7.0.2 says that there is a new update for my iPod (v.1.1.2). I click update, it makes the appropriate lights, the nano goes to reset itself and comes up again, like nothing ever happened.
As per your post above, I have tried attaching this to my MacBook Pro running current OS X and the same thing happens. It seems as if the Nano just resets itself in an endless loop without ever taking the update.
Any suggestions?

I deleted my "iPod Slection" playlist and now my iPod won't update.

I don't know exactly how it happened but the songs on my original "iPod Selection" playlist got messed up and so iTunes automatically created another "iPod Selection Playlist" and I didn't want the songs it put in that playlist on my iPod so I deleted it. But now my iPod won't update because it says "your iPod cannot be updated because all the playlists selected for updating no longer exist." If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Seems like you've got auto sync with your iPod and it is looking for a specifically named playlist.
Check your preferences.
Create a new playlist and sync that.

KB2925418: Cumulative Security Update for IE _ for Windows 7....Installs crapware and is not Just a security update!!!!

This is about KB/Update KB2925418. IT IS NOT JUST A SECURITY UPDATE. And it will change things you may not want changed for example, no where does it tell exactly what it is, nor what it will do. NOT COOL. What it does amongst other things is disable Java,
NOT COOL, that breaks IE and stops our Angel Learning environment from working, NOT COOL.
Worse and far more evil than that it put the USELESS crap ware, "Bing Suggested Sites" link back in the favorites bar, THAT IS ABSOLUTELY EVIL. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH SECURITY and DOSE NOT BELONG IN A SECURITY UPDATE. HOW EVIL.
And how do I know it is evil, because just like a virus and the many browser hijackers etc out there it keeps coming back when I have intentionally removed it. ONLY EVIL things have to do that to stay on the desktop. Non evil things go away and STAY AWAY,
when the are told to!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can no longer get video to work on FireFox and this happened just after my update to version 13. Is there a way to fix this?

I went and downloaded FF13.0 and now I can no longer view video. At first I was able to view flash, mp4, etc video, then I went to see about updating Real Player and then every stopped working. I at first thought this was just a problem with FF13, but after trying also Internet Explorer I found the same problem. Is there any way pf fixing this problem?

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox 13 are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

Podcast cover looks fine in app, won't update in store?

Hi all,
I have been lurking on this forum for a while, and I'm sorry to say I have yet another podcast cover issue to throw on the pile!
Background: I created a podcast last summer. At first, the cover image I submitted was a bit of a placeholder. A few months ago, I hired an illustrator and had a real cover and logo designed. I added the image (1400 x 1400 png) to photobucket, used the url to add it to iTunes via Feedburner Smartcast, and waited for it to update.
In my podcasting app on my phone, the cover updated almost right away! I noticed, though, that when I looked on the iTunes store (either in the app, in my web browser, or in iTunes for my desktop), the old hideous cover art remained. I figured I'd wait a while and see if it caught up.
This was months ago. I've tried changing the url, to try and wake up iTunes cacheing or something, but nothing seems to work. It's mystifying to me because I see the correct cover art in the podcasting app, but nowhere else.

Thanks Roger! The file was originally 1400 x 1400 but apparently photobucket shrinks down images over 1024 now,and you can't go any bigger if your account is new...guess I need to find an image host that will not shrink it down.
Edit: Okay, I uploaded the image file to blogger instead and it appears to be working correctly on the feed. Now it's just a matter of waiting for iTunes to catch it. I still don't understand how iTunes is displaying an old image that's nowhere in my feed info anymore, but I guess they just stick with the old image as a default if the new one doesn't meet their specs?

Podcast Show Information and Image

When I submitted my podcast to Itunes, there was not a place to include an image. I have gone to feedburner and set up the smartcast with the image and show information. I still have no information or image showing up in my podcast. I would like for it to show up. What do I need to do? Any place else you can change an image and have instant results. Apple makes this process really difficult.

Same answer as before: To include an image: in the top section of your xml (feed) file, before your get to the first 'item' tag, you need to add:
<itunes:image href="URL OF AN IMAGE FOR THE PODCAST" />

Apple makes this process really difficult.
If anything it's Feedburner which makes the process difficult. If you have submitted an xml file to Feedburner, it's that you should ideally submit to the iTunes Store: if you let Feedburner submit it there can be problems. However even so if your xml file contains the itunes:image tag as above it should percolate through to the Store. Setting an image directly within Feedburner's web page probably won't get you anywhere.
