Podcast not posting new episode

Hey good morning!! I just submited my podcast about a week ago and everything was great. I uploaded a new episode about 3 days ago and still no update on podcast.
I tried the link: https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?id=421655281
and still nothing....How can I make my new episode available? pls help =/
Here are my URLs:
http://itunes.apple.com/mx/podcast/gil-preciados-podcast/id421655281
http://gil-preciado.podomatic.com/rss2.xml
Thank you!!

Your feed is OK and both episodes appear when subscribing: I'm afraid it's just a question of waiting until the Store gets round to updating - it has been rather slow recently.
The supposed facility for getting immediate attention by pinging the Store (which I'm not convinced ever worked anyway) has been withdrawn.

• Help with posting new episodes!

So I'm new to all of this podcasting. I've recently gotten myself up on itunes, but I need to know how to do two things. 1. How do I submit new episodes to my podcast? 2. How do I remove a podcast from itunes (the entire podcast, not just an episode)? I'm using iweb and garageband.
Thank you!

1. How do I submit new episodes to my podcast?
You can add new episodes by modifying your RSS feed. You know . . . the file whose public address you submitted to iTunes . . . it likely ends in .xml or .rss. So, you open that file up (probably in iWeb in your case), add a new episode, and put the updated file live on the web. The iTunes crawler will come around later, read your feed, and put the new episode up on your page in the Store. (You cannot modify your feed through the iTunes Store - no matter how hard you try, just to warn you!)
2. How do I remove a podcast from itunes (the entire podcast, not just an episode)?
From the Tech Spec:
+If you are no longer creating a podcast and you want it removed from iTunes, you should:+
+1. Log into iTunes.+
+2. Find and select your podcast.+
+3. Click on Report a Concern.+
+4. Select "is mine and I want it removed from the Music Store" from the Choose a Reason menu.+
+5. Explain why you want the podcast removed.+
+In most cases, we will remove the podcast from iTunes, especially if we find that the podcast is no longer available at the feed URL.+
+If you want to remove your feed temporarily, you can use the <iTunes:block> tag described in the iTunes RSS Tags section below.+

• Podcasts App in iOS not Downloading New Episodes for Some Podcasts

I am running version 2.2 (740) of the podcasts app in iOS 8.0.2
Some of my podcasts are no longer updating, while some continue to work normally.
If I navigate to My Podcasts > [Podcast Name] and then go into the feed tab, I cannot see any new episodes. However, If I unsubscribe and delete the podcast, then go search for it, I can see the new episodes. From here, I can even download individual episodes, but I cannot subscribe to the podcast. For some reason, the purple 'SUBSCRIBE' button does nothing when I tap it.
Is there a way to reset the Podcasts app? Do I need to hard reset the phone?
Thanks!

Since no help was coming from Apple, I decided to try uninstalling 11.1.0.126 and then re-install the newly released version of iTunes for Windows, 11.1.1.11.
The Refresh button now seems to work, and new podcast are being downloaded.

• Podcast Not Showing Previous Episodes

I updated my feed and the other episodes in the feed that preceded my newer episode no longer show up. Can someone please help?
http://www.weareomniverse.com/audio/omniversal.xml

Your feed has nine episodes , all correct as far as I can see. If there should be more, it is because whatever is making the feed has removed the earlier versions: some programs automatically remove earlier episodes once a certain number has been reached, but you can usually amend this.
I can't check on iTunes at the moment a I'm on Linux. Do you see nine episodes in iTunes? If not, could you post the URL for iTunes (control- or right-click the podcast image to copy it to the clipboard).

• Posted new episode--it disappeared

I posted a new episode of my podcast yesterday. It appeared in iTunes yesterday. And, now it's gone. I'm not sure why. It's still on the site that hosts my podcast, but no longer in the iTunes store. http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/creating-brilliant-career/id391813237 is the link to the podcast. Hope someone can help me. I'm a total novice at this.

Please when you have a query always post the feed URL: for the record yours is
http://theresumeshopink.podbean.com/feed/
Your website, your feed, the iTunes Store, and your podcast when subscribed to all contain two episodes, the latest posted at 2323 yesterday evening; so there is nothing wrong.
Possibly what happened is that you saw the new episode when subscribing, but when you checked the Store page it wasn't there. Subscribers see new episodes immediately, because their iTunes application reads the feed directly; but the Store caches the feed (though not the media files) and checks it periodically for changes - new episodes usually take 1-2 days to appear. Yours has appeared within 24 hours which is quite reasonable.

• Transferred feed not updating new episodes..?

Hi!
A few years ago I started a podcast, got it online w/iTunes, and all was well. But after a time the show went on hiatus. After a year or two I began revamping the show, put up a new blog, transferred the data from the old blog to the new, transferred the feeds via Feedburner, and all seemed to be okay. And now that the show's begun again, I can see the new ep. on the RSS feed, but it's not coming up at all in the iTunes store. Thinking I might have to resubmit the URL, iTunes told me the feed was already in use, so.. I'm guessing the feed transferred correctly. Now I'm just wondering if there's anything else I have to to do to facilitate the transfer, make it take on iTunes, etc., so the new eps show up as they get published.
The blog (and feed) is through Blogger, at http://eclectipod.blogspot.com/
And the Feedburner URL is http://feeds.feedburner.com/eclectipod (or http://feeds.feedburner.com/eclectipod?format=xml
I guess you could so all signs point to "go," but for some reason it's just not showing up in the iTunes store.
(Also, as I'm like 3 years out of practice, any pointers on editing what's seen in the iTunes store would be great too- like image, credits, etc.)
Thanks so Much!
Y.

Eee! You're a genius! I changed the name in the General Settings tab in Blogger, and that allowed me to re-submit the feed (http://feeds.feedburner.com/eclectipod?format=xml), so it would be accepted for review by iTunes! Now I only hope they'll accept it, and combine it w/the old data on the original feed, instead of either deleting the old one, or denying the new. -And at some point, I also have to find out how ACCESS and EDIT my XML code, so I can do all the tag editing that iTunes talks about (but seems to take for granted that people can get/have access to. ;P) -Cause I have NO idea how to edit my XML feed itself. (To say.. put the
tags in that they discuss in their Podcasting instructions, or remove the ugly "CC" image that's at the top of my feed. It's statement is accurate enough, but that image keeps coming up in the Podcast Pickle Player instead of my show's main icon, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to alter that.)
Thank you SO very much. All this podcast meta tagging, altering and such can be SO frustrating. (And I'm normally a pretty geeky, web-savvy girl, so this has been driving me NUTS. *lol*) You rock!

• Itunes podcasts not updating newest episodes on Ipod touch or itunes through desktop

When I go into itunes store either through my ipod touch or my computer none of the 4 or 5 main podcasts that i like are updating the newest episodes. I have checked and it says all software is up to date. Any help would be much appreciated

I've look at the usual place, Podcasts, then I looked in my music library. I've check the amount of space that the audio files take up on the iPod and there is no change, and neither is it in any of the other types of files. So I don't believe they are lost somewhere on my iPod but are just not being transferred.

• Podcast not updating episodes in iTunes store

Hi,
I have a podcast that is not showing newer episodes. My feed appears to be fine because I can subscribe to it and see the new episodes. I've also updated iTunes artwork and the store updated that within a day. Is there something wrong with my feed?
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/mojo-in-the-morning-podcast/id257739576
source: http://www.mojointhemorning.com/podcast/MojointheMorningPodcast.xml
thanks

The Store shows only the seven episodes posted on 2 December, whereas the large number both before and since then are visible when subscribing.
This is rather weird - it would be more usual for episodes after a given date not to show because of an error, and earlier ones shouldn't be affected.
However, there are a number of minor errors in the feed and I would refer you to the FeedValidator report. There is one which struck me as a possible cause for problems. The title tag of one of the episodes for 18 December reads

Already Opened My GiftsÔøΩ

The characters after 'Gifts' show up as a '?' in most readers but from what you see above it looks as if you've managed to insert something odd, probably by initially writing in a word processor (never a good idea). You should delete whatever you see after 'Gifts' and if you want a question mark type it directly in a plain text editor.

• How long before iTunes shows new episodes?

What's the typical delay between updating a podcast and the new episode showing up on iTunes Music Store? I've only put up a couple, but it seemed faster than 24 hours. My latest episode is now at the 13-hour mark and hasn't showed up yet. I've checked my RSS feed several times and its valid.
If it doesn't show up in 24 hours, what should I do?

I would just site tight for a few days. Not long ago it took as long as two weeks to get your show into iTunes. I think they may still do manual screening so that can take time.
If in a week it's not in there, then you can look at some possibilities. In the meantime, try validating your feed at:
www.feedvalidator.org
Make sure that your feed is clean. This could be the problem if you have errors.

• HT1933 Itunes will not download new episdoes

My iTunes will not download new episodes. I tried getting the newest version of iTunes, logging in and out, and nothing is working.

What do the error messages say? Include error message numbers if you're getting any, please.

• I have been downloading some favorite TV shows but they seem to have stop providing new episodes. What is stopping the new episodes?

My favorite TV shows (5 shows) are not showing new episodes for about 3 weeks. I guess it is possible that all shows ended simultaneously but seems unlikely. I wonder if I need to change a setting?

If you look at the feed, and look at the entry 'The end to an exciting field season in Aulavik National Park' you will see the line:
<pubDateFri, 29 Jul 2011 04:00:00 GMT

You have not closed the 'pubdate' tag - there should be a '>' as the 9th character. Because the tag has been left open, it invalidates everything which follows it, and thus the entire feed. iTunes therefore cannot read it, which is why the Store has not updated. Add the '>' and republish, and all should be well.
It's always worth checking your feed by subscribing manually, from the 'Advanced' menu, or by clicking the 'subscribe free' button on the Store page (both do the same thing) - if you can subscribe to the feed it should be OK.

• New Episodes of my Podcast are not showing up in the iTunes Music Store?

this isn't really an "itunes for mac" question, but since i do my production on a mac, i'll ask it here!
i produce and record a weekly podcast (about 2 hours each week) which has been listed in the iTMS since it started (last february)
this last week we recorded episode 31 and uploaded it to my .mac account, and all went well... the new episode is downloading to anyone who already has subscribed to the rss feed (homepage.mac.com/airplayradio/podcast.xml), but it hasn't shown up in the iTunes Music Store... the software i use to upload the shows generates an automatic ping, and i've done a manual ping a couple of times a day since wednesday, but nothing...
any ideas? absolutely -nothing- (software/hardware/etc.) has changed since i uploaded episode 30 a week ago, and that showed up within an hour...
many thanks for any advice!
cheers

well, i never got a reply directly to my question, but i was directed by email to post my problem within itunes... go to the podcast page of my podcast and then select "report a concern"... i always thought this was to report offensive podcasts, but if you click on that button you'll see a pull down list with a bunch of problems... i selected "difficulty downloading" and then explained the problem completely... as i said, i never heard back from anyone, but about 4 days later my podcast episode showed up... and this past wednesday we uploaded the latest episode and it showed up in the iTMS almost immediately... go figure?!
if anyone's interested, the podcast name is Schnauzer Logic and its comedy and talk and music and pop culture (i used to be the host of a morning show)... good for a giggle once a week for a couple of hours.
cheers!

• Can I change my podcast subscription to only put a new episode as visible and in the cloud, but not actually download it?

Can I change my podcast subscription to only put a new episode as visible and in the cloud, but not actually download it?

The person who holds the copyright to it in the UK hasn’t given Apple permission to sell it there; if desired, click here and fill out the form.

• The podcast artwork does not automatically copy to new episodes

I have added some artwork manually to my podcasts in Itunes (and have set it to apply to all episodes of any individual podcast).
Now, whenever a new episode is downloaded (which does not have any artwork at all), I expect the existing artwork to be used for it automatically.
But it does not! Is there a way to get this done in Itunes?
Thanks a lot
Luc

The latest build has broken the ability to copy artwork from the lower left artwork panel or switch between art if you have multiple items attached to a particular file. The CreateFolderArt script should still work to create the seed images if run with a selection of files that have art.
