Podcast Picture Not Working

When I subscribe to a PodCast and it downloads it will not show the PodCast Picture/Logo, it is just the podcast symbol and the only way to see what podcast you are listening to is read the topic. Do I have something set wrong or is this normal?

When you subscribe to a podcast and select an episode you sometimes see an image in the bottom left-hand corner of iTunes. This depends upon whether the originator of the podcast has made this image available - it has to be embedded in the actual media files (it's not referenced in the feed), and many podcasters don't bother to do this (or don't know that they can).

  • Synchronisation of pictures and Podcasts is not working!

I have a problem with my I-Pod Nano. The synchronisation of pictures and Audio-Podcasts is not working. Video-Podcasts are working well! And my I-Pod does not show the cover pictures. I have put them manually in I-Tunes but it does not work. I also resetted my I-Pod a few times and uploaded the new software. It all does not work.
    Can anybody help???

in your info it says that you are running windows 98.... i do not think it is possible to use nano 3rd generation using win 98... well at least that what the apple website states... http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/specs.html

  • Pictures not working! Please help!

Pictures on my iPod not working, when i try to sync my photos always i have error "iPod can't read your photo"! I allready try to do everything (new soft 1.0.3, reset so many times, other program then iTunes[anapod photosync], all photo types jpg. bmp. gif.)! I live in Poland, but my iPod nano 3g I bought in USA... what can I do now??? Please help me!!!

If you connect your phone to a USB socket on the iMac do you have a disc folder mounted on the desktop? If so open iPhoto and import the photos from there.
If the folder does not show, go to preferences in Finder and check the tick box for 'Show External Disks'

  • My link to my podcast is not working.  I recently changed a portion of the title .  Does it need to be re-approved?

My podcast that was released today was in fact added to my subscription but my iTunes link is not working anymore.  Doe sit think there are two different podcasts?  Can they be merged?

It's not really possible to comment unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'.  Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

  • Itunes podcast image not working

I am using feedburner to generate a podcast feed for a website my agency worked on. It works fine, we can post things and they show up as podcasts if there is an audio file attached, and the feed shows up fine on feedburner. We used smartfeed on feedburner to generate the extra tags needed for an itunes podcast, including the podcast image, but it's not working. We made sure to input a 1400x1400 image as the feed image, and every time we have changed the image we have made sure to make the filename different so itunes recognizes that there is a differnet image. It has been almost a week since we put in that image and it still is not showing up.
I don't know if it just takes longer, or if there is something wrong, but we have been trying to get an image working for a few weeks now.
The link to the podcast is here
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/uncommon-austin-podcast-2013/id468093685?mt= 2
I can link to the feedburner feed as well if needed. But we would just like to know of a solution to our problem.
    Thanks
    Josh

The image which appears on the Store page is referenced in the feed: but the image which appears when you subscribe (either manually or from the Store page) is not - it is embedded in each episode's media file. This page explains the situation and what to do about it:

  • Podcast Markers Not Working in IOS 5?

I have noticed podcast bookmarks getting "lost" on the iphone since updating to IOS5.  Turning OFF wireless syncing over WiFi seems the correct the issue, but I'm not certain yet.  Will do some more testing today.
Example:  A podcast I listened to conclusion yesterday, was marked as "unlistened to" in iTunes after a wireless sync.  As soon as I turned OFF wireless syncing (in iTunes, for the iPhone) and synced over the cable, the podcast was correctly marked as "listened to".
Looks like wireless sync isn't the issue.  I was listening to a podcast when a call came in.  After I ended the call, the podcast started over from the beginng instead of where it left off.
Also noted that the NEXT episode of a given podcast does not automatically start anymore, as it did in the previous IOS.

I am also having difficulty with podcast bookmarks in IOS 5 on my Ipod Touch 4. It no longer remembers where it was if I play a song and then return to the podcast. And it does not mark the podcasts as listened to. The podcasts return to the beginning.
Is there someplace we can report these bugs to Apple?

  • Podcast pictures not showing up on main page

I have made my first changes in iWeb '08 after using the previous version.
When I posted a new Podcast, which has a picture and was built in Garage Band as a Podcast, I knew I had to change the file tag after exporting from .m4a to .m4v (they STILL haven't fixed that yet???) and then import it into iWeb on my Podcast Enteries page. But when I go to my main Podcast page, the text representing the new podcast is present, but the picture is not. It is that way on iWeb and in Safari.
    Here's the URL: http://faithmountainaz.com/FaithMountain/Podcast/Podcast.html
I made two copies: one from Garage Band and one exported from GB to disc where I changed the tag from .m4a to .m4v. They are called, "Direct From Garage Band" and "How to Recieve The Word."
Any ideas why there's no pic?

WOOO HOOO Yes your above Trick Absolutely Worked....... Just uncheck the "Automatically include" under the Ipod Touch Prferences menu in Itunes 9 Tab and check all of the Playlists And Vwala your back in the game.... Thanks

  • Podcast feed not working in iTunes

    Hi there,
I am trying to get a podcast feed for a client set up to work in iTunes. About the setup:
This is a self-hosted wordpress site, using the feedburner/SmartCast to create iTunes-friendly feeds. The site does use HTTPS as parts of it handle credit card processing.
Here is the feed XML (Chrome): view-source:http://feeds.feedburner.com/UnderTenFitness
Here is the feed link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/UnderTenFitness
The feed validates at http://castfeedvalidator.com/ and http://validator.w3.org/. Other podcast services pick it up just fine. Just iTunes. I've tried testing it by manually subscribing to it in iTunes, and the episodes/meta load fine, but the audio files neither play nor download. I also can't seem to find any kind of error message to describe what the hold up seems to be - just the ! next to the episode. I can briefly see a window that says "Connecting" but it dies right away.
Any insight into what's going wrong here would be much appreciated. I've added MIME types to the server for MP3 files, about to change the main icon from PNG to JPEG on some random recommendation that sometimes iTunes doesn't like PNG files.
    I've also tried:
taking the media link outside the audio player shortcode and just putting it in as href
using both http:// and https:// for the media link
I'm sure I've missed something basic here - but my experience with podcasting prior to this project was "I like to listen to them." So any suggestions appreciated.
    Regards,
    Hannah

The problem lies with the media files rather than the feed. The URL given for your top media file is
    http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/UnderTenFitness/~5/cn0Ui9M2FyI/2015-01-27-Psorias is-Natural-Remedies.mp3
    This redirects to
    https://www.undertenfitness.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015-01-27-Psoriasis- Natural-Remedies.mp3
The first URL works when you enter it in a browser, but on subscribing iTunes refuses to play it. These redirects using Feedproxy can cause problems, though they don't always, and frankly I would advise avoiding its use and providing a direct URL to the media file. Furthermore the URL for the actual file begins with https (secure connection) and this is also asking for trouble. Sometimes it works, but it's better avoided. Just removing the 's' so that it's http works with some servers but it appears not to hear. So you need to look into the matter of hosting your media files.

  • IPhone 5 help email crashing, safari crashing, messages not sending, pictures not working

Wondering if anyone has ever had the following problems and how to resolve them. e-mail app wont open, just crashes instantly,  imessages and texts wont send or receive, pictures wont delete and are showing up all fuzzy, when i take a picture it shows up as a grey rectangle and not the actual captured image, never available memory despite having few pictures and only 2 apps and no music, Safari works for a few seconds then goes off by itself. Used to work if i switched my phone off and on but now nothings working, very frustrating, any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Basics right out of the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.

  • Pictures not working

For some reason on 2 of my gallery pages the pictures do not enlarge when clicked and the slideshow doesn't work.
    Used to work fine.
    OK on the other pages.
Tried publishing many times - no change.
    any suggestions?
    thanks
    Pete

Good news and bad news !
I deleted the website folder and index.html file
then republished and it seems to have cured the problem
however now when I put the URL (www.freelogic.co.uk) in a browser it says 'not found'
although the old bookmark still works with the address:
    http://www.freelogic.co.uk/freelogic.co.uk/Home.html
I notice that the index.html file has NOT reappeared in the Web/Sites folder
(could this be anything to do with the redirection of my custom domain name 'freelogic.co.uk' to Mobile Me?)
By the way I didn't mention this but I am publishing from iWeb to a folder on my desktop and then optimizing using Webcrusher and Exporting to Mobile Me.
The number of different problems I've had with this is unbelievable !
Can you help with getting the www.freelogic.co.uk address to work again ?
    many thanks
    Pete

  • Despite valid feed, download in Podcasts app not working

    Hi!
I created a new podcast feed, which is valid according to feedvalidator.org and got approved by apple iTunes store. Downloading the podcast mp3-file is working in all major apps i've encountered so far, but not in the Podcasts app. Maybe somebody is willing to check my feed and can give me any hints how to solve this?
    The feed-adress is: http://www.ernstdeslebens.de/feed/
The enclosure link is not pointing directly to an mp3 file, but to a php-file which is serving the mp3 to the client, so I can track how many downloads we got. Still - it works in iTunes (desktop) and also in Instacast for iOS and some Android podcatchers...
Help is really appreciated! Thank you!

    hmm.
    go to:
    settings/applications/feeds
and make sure you are good with what you want there.
    settings/notifications/Feed on home screen
and be sure that you toggle the twiiter tweets.
having dev mode enable/disabled is not going to make a difference on your device unless you try to do something that requires it to be on.
its like having a turbo on your car. do you need it....not really, but, when you want to use it, its always good to have it!

  • Audio Podcasts are not working

I recently made our site's 5th update and for some reason each podcast, when you click on it, does not load. All you get is a big "Q" for Quicktime with a question mark on it for each of the podcasts. Why is that? I've completely erased the site, re-loaded (index included), and still have the same problem.
Interestingly enough, Firefox and Internet Explorer loaded them just fine. SAFARI was the one giving me the problem! What gives?
    Here's a link to the site: http://faithmountainaz.com/FaithMountain/Podcast/Podcast.html

I don't know where to put the blame but the issue seems to be related to the 7.1.5+ QuickTime security updates and Safari.
    http://faithmountainaz.com/FaithMountain/Podcast/2727035D-A8C8-4DBB-A487-8B5D483 5EABB_files/Redeemed%20From%20Sickness.m4a
You file works as intended when opened directly in QuickTime Player.
Your server is not configured to open the URL above in a browser window but the iWeb page code (inside a javascript file) forces the QuickTime plug-in be used. This is the expected behavior of iWeb and its code is correct.
The real issue is the file extension.
Currently you use .m4a (MPEG-4 Audio). But that file extension should be for audio files only and yours includes a chapter track and a video track (even a still image is video).
These "enhanced" Podcasts should really use the .m4v file extension (MPEG -4 Video) because of these extra tracks.
If you first duplicate your current file and then use the Finder to change the extension from .m4a to .m4v then republish the page using iWeb your file will work with Safari.
Not a real fix and only Apple can do that.

  • Submit of Podcast feed not working: "Bad http result 404"

I am trying to submit my .xml file to the "Submit
Podcasts to the iTunes Directory" and it keep sgiving me the error:
We had difficulty reading this feed. Bad http result code: 404"
Can anyone tell me what the error is? It does nothing to explain this. I've tried using an xml template for itunes that supposed to work but nothing. It works fine using iPodder.
    Here's the link:
    http://cmi.yale.edu/podcasts/rss/test5.xml
    Thanks much for the help!

Right, I know how the 404 mean error not found but i checked and double checked the URLs and they all seem fine to me as well. I can understand what iTunes is not liking about the feed. I've updated the feed with a new .xml:
http://cmi.yale.edu/podcasts/rss/cmi.xml - still getting the 404. Do you see anything wrong with the URLs?
    Thanks much!
