Podcast Submittal denied, please help

Hi,
I am the webmaster for a social justice website (www.axisofjustice.org) that is run by the musicians Tom Morello and Serj Tankian. They do a radio show and we now have a podcast:

I submitted the podcast to iTunes and got rejected. Why? I do not know becuase they do not tell you why and they also do not let you resubmit it. People can manually subscribe to our feed via "Subscribe to Podcast" thru iTunes, so I guess that means it works.
We just want to get listed in iTunes so we can have an easy link for people to subscribe easliy.
Could someone help us out? It would be much appreciated.

Thanks, it is very odd and frustrating. I realize Apple probably has thousands of new podcasts coming through a day, but they really should employ a better way to handle this and comminicate what is wrong, especially when you know your feed is correct.
iTunes has absolutely no customer/user support that I know of, very disappointing.
I took a drastic measure and built a new podcast site on a Free Wordpress blog:

I know from experience, iTunes accepts Wordpress feeds (via Feedburner) no problem. It took a little time, but it was worth it not having wait for help from Apple.

i m following this

Trade in tablets denied, please help

Hi, I just get back from a Bestbuy store:

It says that any working tablets works, but the rep in store denied, said that my devices are not in database and could not found in system.
My devices are: Archos 101 internet tablet and 70 ones.
I search some site until someone told me to post a message here. Would you please help me, tell me if it can be and what could I do. Thanks!

Many people are taking advantage of our Google Nexus 9 Tablet Trade-in promotion, so I’m sure you were very excited to get your hands on a new device.   I’m disappointed to hear that our Columbia location wasn’t quite up to speed with the promotion though, and it left you without a cool new tablet. I’m truly sorry for this oversight.
As long as your two devices meet the minimum requirements of the promotion, then it shouldn’t matter whether or not they are immediately recognized by our trade-in database. There is a process in place to ensure customers are still able to receive the offer. Those minimum requirements are:
-          The device must be able to power on
-          Cannot have a cracked screen
-          Cannot have any water damage
-          The device cannot be a Barnes & Noble Nook or other eReader
Please know that I’ve already reached out to local leadership at the store and provided them with the necessary information about this promotion. As long as your tablet meets the requirements above and you visit the store prior to 11/8/2014, you shouldn’t have any future problems participating in the promo.

Missing Podcasts...PLEASE HELP!

Lately I have been noticing that in iTunes my Podcasts have not been updating. However, when I go to the individual pages for each Podcasts it shows DOZENS of new Podcasts available. Why am I no longer getting updated on new Podcasts? Also, on the rare occasions that new Podcasts HAVE shown up on iTunes there is only a title and description but no link to download. PLEASE HELP!

If the button to download is missing, try a Repair of iTunes.
This is done by downloading iTunes again (do not uninstall your current iTunes), and then running the install. At some stage you should see a message asking if you wish to Repair iTunes. Use that.
That should sort out the missing buttons. Perhaps it will sort out the lack of automatic downloads, but check the Podcast Settings to make sure that iTunes is still set to download new episodes of Podcasts you are subscribed to.

Audibooks loading into podcasts not audiobooks - PLEASE HELP!

On the instructions from a friend, I have dragged my audio books from my audible.com library onto my desktop. When I drag the books, they go into podcasts. I have the audiobooks icon showing in my preferences but the books go automaticall into podcasts with not name title or anything.
Audiobooks is the only reason I purchased an ipod so I am quite frustrated and ready to listen to my books. Please help!

Podcast not updating - Please help!!

When I tried to update my radio show pod cast today, it flashed like it was going to update, then it stopped. No matter how many times I click on "Update", the same thing happens. This has never happened before. PLEASE HELP!

Your feed has 14 episodes in it, the last being dated November 15th and entitled BCN 11/14/10. All 14 appear in the Store and when subscribing.
Your feed links to a site at http://bednaz.tumblr.com/ . This shows three more recent episodes, added 1 day ago. These have not made it into the feed - hence their non-appearance in the Store. This is something you will have to investigate at Tumblr: it's not an iTunes problem.
Once you get the episodes into the feed and republish it, they will take around 2 days to appear in the Store, though they will appear immediately for subscribers.

Podcast problem! Please help!

I've recently started a podcast for our church and made it via Garage Band then uploaded to my iWeb.

Problem is, I uploaded my podcasts to the iTunes store and only 2 show up in the search panel. I have uploaded 4 so far since 2 weeks ago and they aren't available to search.
However, if I were to subscribe to the feed, all 4 episodes will be available.
Anyone any ideas?

and this can be successfully subscribed to - a process which does not involve the Store.
The Store is showing two quite different episodes and a different image, suggesting that you originally had a test feed and then replaced it with the current one. The Store has not updated its cache to reflect the new feed contents since you removed the old episodes and posted the four new ones (the most recent one wouldn't show anyway since it's only been added today).
Either there is simply a delay in the Store updating (which is unusual but can happen) or something in your feed is upsetting the Store but not your iTunes application when subscribing (this can happen, too).
The feed does not validate: there is nothing in the 'title' tag, FeedValidator is reporting 'Your feed appears to be encoded as "UTF-8", but your server is reporting "US-ASCII"' (click here for their explanation of this) though this may have been true of the original feed, and in any case as it's on your iDisk it should work OK - it does for everyone else..
The episode filenames have spaces in them: the feed has correctly replaced this with the code %20 and this works in a browser and when subscribing: I don't know whether this upsets the Store but it might - spaces are not allowed in a URL and your filenames shouldn't use them.
I can't see any other obvious reason why the Store hasn't updated. You should deal with the spaces, and after that it may be a question of waiting. You could try approaching Support:

As a general rule, if you post questions about your podcast please include the iTunes Store URL (found by control-clicking on the podcast image) and the URL of the feed (please include the http:// in both cases).

Podcasts can be rejected for any number of reasons.
It looks to be a valid RSS feed. I noticed that you are not using any iTunes specific tags, such as <itunes:Category>, <itunes:explicit>, <itunes:duration>, etc... If you have explicit content, such as swearing, adult content, etc... and you do not include an <itunes:explicit>yes</itunes:explicit> tag it can be rejected.

Look under "submission queue" for possible reasons for rejection. Also look at the example feed and iTunes RSS tags sections...

How to appeal a podcast rejection? Please help

Hello to all. I recently submitted a podcast to the iTunes directory. It was rejected. here is the note I got from them.

I clicked the specks link and it all looked good. In fact I have submitted many podcasts of this nature and the feed validated ok. So how do I get this podcast in to the store? Who can I talk to and when I try and resubmit the link it says it already has been submitted. A bit of advise would please be nice.

If that's the case that make sense; how ever I have 4 or 5 other podcasts up there all that have this kind of stuff. see: ActionCountry tcjwb TGU and SolidGoldSundays all of which are archives of shows we do. so should I try emailing the podcast address you gave and show these as links like I'm doing here? I want to try and reach the widest audience I can and iTunes for me is the best bet.

Having Problems Creating Podcast!! Please help!

So I've been working for quite a long time on getting my podcast to work, and i finally have gotten to the point of going into iTunes and clicking "Submit Podcast", but now, when I submit my URL,

I've done everything they've told me to get this thing to work, but for the last 4 hours, I've gotten the same error message.
WHAT DO I DO?!?

Your feed is valid, so there shouldn't be a problem. if your computer is showing the correct date, and you have set cookies to be accepted in the browser you're using to access the submission page (check that you have done this correctly as it sounds like the most likely problem area) then it's difficult to see what else you can do.
You could try iTunes Support - they often aren't as helpful as one would wish but it's worth trying. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options.

Upgraded to leopard and Cant delete podcast in itunes please help

after leopard upgrade.....when i try and delete an old played podcast my itunes immediately pops up an error message and says it quit unexpectedly. this happens w. any podcast and i have the current version of itunes, i also recently upgraded to leopard so i dont know if that has something to do with it, but i CAN play music and videos and podcasts, i just cant delete a podcast, or update them?

"though a bit sluggish" 512 to one gig memory is just making it. two gigs you'll be more satisfied or at minimum 1.5 gigs of memory.
1) I can't answer that based upon normal itunes migration. I just keep my mp3 music on hard drives and when I re-do a computer from scratch just copy them over(they are all metatagged) and use the itunes "add to library" function then change the view using itunes, set my equalizer and I'm basically done.
2) Tiger and Leopard bookmark file are interchangeable. user/library/safari/bookmarks. You should always save that file elsewhere and just drag it over to user/library/safari of course the Safari folder is not created until you launch Safari at least once.
3) use Mail's import function, just direct it to where your mailboxes are stored.
4) address book you can do this function and save it after done. In Tiger under user/library/application support/addressbook there will be a file called addressbook.data Now create a new folder(do it on the desktop) and name it TigerData. Copy that addressbook.data file into that new folder. Now re-name that folder to TigerData.abbu in the addressbook program use the file, import, addressbook archive menu item and choose TigerData.abbu Once done save that file for future Leopard installs.

Burning podcast to dvd , please help

I'm in the process of downloading quite a few individual episodes of a particular podcast. after entire download I need to burn the whole podcast to dvd.
I will need to know the size of the entire podcast and I'm not sure how much a dvd holds.
Can someone please give me a sense of direction as to how to proceed once all episodes are downloaded?

I can't get garageband to export! It keeps getting stuck at 'creating chapters' when I try to export my enhanced podcast. Please help!

I am trying to export my enhanced podcast through garageband. I have all the current updates. I am on my MacBookPro 10.6.8 2.3GHz with 8GB ram. My enhanced podcast (podcast with pictures) is about 80 mins long and I have tried exporting with everything from the lowest settings to the highest always with the same result. I have tried deleting GB preferences. I have tried repairing permissions to no avail.
I hit export to disk or send to itunes.
I select some AAC format I want (optimized for spoken podcast).
It slowly builds the mix, normalizes, and creates chapters (yeah, it goes through the creating chapters bar to completion)
Then it goes all candystripe on the creating chapters bar once it fills up and will hang forever (hung for 8 hours....pretty much sounds like 'forever' in my book).
Please help...I have my podcast sitting there waiting to be used....I have tried exporting smaller chunks (by moving the end of file bar) but that doesn't work either. Is there a way to just send the pictures and the picture start times over to imovie and work with it there? I'd much rather work with the tools that imovie has but man that program is just a PITA to use when you want to run through 100+ pictures for variable durations (whereas it's easy to just drag and drop with garageband as you do playback).
The file only has one stereo audio track!
