Podcast submitted by iWeb - can't change image

how do you identify what image you want for your Podcast image. I just switched to me.com to host my site on. I was simply editing the rss.xml file manually and uploading it to my old server. I can go in and do it through me.com, but then every time I update my page I have to re-upload the image file and edit the rss.xml file. Any help would be much appreciated. I am sure I am doing something wrong.

Okay, first of all, when you combine two images, the bottom one determines the resolution for the entire image. So if the top image has many more pixels, it's going to be bigger. If you just changed the size without resampling, just changed the ppi with Resample Image turned off, then it will have no effect on the actual size when you combine the two images because it still has more pixels than the bottom image. So you would need to resample your image down.

Sorry, but your post seemed to initially infer you were just referring to a Button you would insert on a page. At least that's what I understood when I posted with what I did.
Now it would seem you are referring to the Playback Controls that Captivate supplies? So either I grossly misunderstood your initial issue or you are now switching gears and asking about something different.
What I posted earlier does not apply to the Captivate Playback Controls.

IWeb Can't Save Images

I did an erase and install of Leopard in early November. I couldn't save with iWeb after installing. I installed upgrade (10.5.1) and still had the problem. Because of additional problems with internet speeds and always having to reset the cable modem, I reinstalled Tiger. Everything is back to normal but I still can't save when I make changes to iWeb. Specifically:
Drag a photo from media into an iWeb photo page.
Type a caption.
Try to save and an error message comes up. "Couldn't save image." and the jpeg number. When I continue the page appears as it should with the photo and caption. However it won't save with repeated tries.
When I quit iWeb, I have to choose "Don't Save" to get it to close but it has saved a place holder for the photo and the caption I've typed.
When I go to the website there is a white-space rectangle where the picture should be with the correct caption.
When I reopen iWeb it looks the same with a white-space rectangle where the photo should be and the correct caption.
I also tried exporting a photo from iPhoto to the desktop and dragging it into iWeb from there but that didn't work either.
Any ideas on what I can try to fix this problem?

Can't change image size % in save for web

Hello,
I'm using Photoshop CC. When slicing a web mockup, and saving for web, the image percent is blocked at 58.49% and I am not able to increase it to 100%. So my original image of 1024px wide comes out at 600px
I haven't changed any settings (that I know of) and do not have this problem on any other mockup files I have. What setting do I need to adjust in order to save for web my slices at 100%?

I worked out what the issue was, my document height was over 8000px tall which is causing the issue, even though my slices are less than 2000px tall. When I temporarily crop the document to below 7000px, I can save out the slices at 100%. Annoying work around.
It seems a bit random.

Can I change image date and capture year in Aperture?

Is there a way to manually change the image date and capture year (and other metadata for that matter) upon import? I have some pictures given to me by friends that they took on their own cameras and I want to import them into my Aperture Library, only it seems as though they didn't pay attention to/care about setting the date/time on their cameras. This causes me to lose sequence with my own photos that were taken with my camera on the same day.
I tried to append and replace the IPTC Metadata, but that didn't seem to work. What can be done about this, or am I just stuck with some out of sequence photos when I sort by image date?

Like title says.
I want to crop an image to 5x5 inches but I can only enter a pixel value. Can
this be changed?

It shouldn't be a problem.
Load the crop tool > select 'Custom' in the Crop HUD 'Aspect Ratio' drop-down > type '5' in both the 'Width' & 'Height' fields > drag crop tool to select area to crop > press 'Enter' or close the Crop HUD.
You can then export the version using the Size To: menu in the export preset dialog set to 'Fit Within (Inches)' and set the DPI to '100'. This should give you both a 5 inch x 5 inch on screen image size after export, as well as a 5 inch x 5 inch image during print or in a layout program (Pages, Word, InDesign - even in Illustrator).
Note - the '100' DPI setting can be tweaked if you know the absolute pixels per inch of your monitor screen (otherwise, 100 is a good general rule of thumb for a majority of monitors).

I managed to write a VI that can reduce the resolution of bitmaps. It was tedious. I would still like a solution that can increase or decrease the resolution.

Can you change image to line art?

Can you take an image (photograph of a person for example) and convert it to line art? If so, can you convert the whole picture to a black and white (no shades of gray) line art?

"Line art " can actually mean many things. Do you mean outlining in Black and White? There are some Actions on the Adobe Exchange that will do that or use Find Edges or Graphic Pen or some of the other Filters. There are also plugins you can get like Outliner.
Or you might want to use Adobe Streamline to trace it in vector paths.

Can you change image output resolution in Keynote?

Is there a trick? I know it's nowhere obvious, but I find it'd be helpful -- I find Keynote the simplest way to create basic illustrations, but I need them at 150 DPI for printing. Obviously I could create a giant documents and manually dowsize, but I"d prefer to do it "native"...

Keynote is a video display screen presentation application and therefore the resolution is set in pixels.
To change resolution, use the inspector > documents tab and test what resolution you need for the individual printer you will be using at a particular print size.
Incidentally, 150 dpi (dots per inch) is too low to print, 600 dpi is considered low res draft, 1200 medium and 2600 high (photo quality. Perhaps you mean 150 ppi (pixels per inch) which is still low quality.

Can't change image association in LR5

LR5 is showing many of my images as missing. When I point to the correct location, it says that that image is associated with another photo in the catalog. I cannot update it to the correct location. I have deleted the preview folder hoping a rebuild will fix this but it hasn't. I recently 'moved' 140 K + photos to new drives, that's when the problems showed up.

After you moved the photos, did you import them at their new location? If so, you need to remove the newly imported photos (that probably don't have your settings applied), and then it'll let you link the older edited photos to the new location. Back up your catalog first, of course.

As I said, you can only change the PR Initiator in the workflow if you first find out where the workflow gets it from.
If it's getting it from a BOR attribute which is getting it from a table, then you will have to find a way to change the value in the table (do not update SAP tables directly). If, however, it turns out the workflow copies the PR initiator to a custom workflow container and then uses that, then you can change it.
So, please go to PFTC_DIS and find out where it gets the PR Initiator from and how it is stored.

How can I change the background color of my podcast's iTunes page?

My RSS feed just got accepted but now I need to customize the title, author, background color, and logo of my site. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you!

You can't change the background colour - it's white for audio and black for video. The other data can be changed by changing the appropriate tag in the feed, or if you're using a program or online service to make your podcast,. wherever they provide for entering this information.
The title is carried in the 'title' tag; the author in the 'itunes:author' tag, and the 'podcast image' which appears on the Store page in the 'itunes: image' tag. Republish the feed after making the amendments: it will take a couple of days for the new data to appear, though the image may take several days.
The image which appears in some podcasts in the bottom left-hand corner of iTunes when subscribing is not referenced in the feed but has to be actually embedded into the media file: please see this page:

I recently started a new podcast, Jazz Now! Seattle. When I first entered it I used a logo that has now been change. I have also reworked the title. And the description on the iTunes page has a "/" in it that shouldn't be there. You can see it all here:

As you are using WordPress you will need to change things there: if you were to edit the feed itself it would simply be overwritten the next time you added something. If you change the title and remove the slash in the appropriate places in Wordpress and republish then iTunes will pick up the changes - possibly it may not do so until you add a new audio episode.
As to the image, simply point Wordpress to the new image (with a different name, don't just create a new image with the same name) and again this will update, though it will probably take some days.

You can associate files from the Bridge level and the Desktop level.
In Bridge CS4, go to Preferences > File Type Associations and change it to Photoshop CS4 for the file types you want.
If you want to open files from the Windows Desktop in CS4, these are the instructions:

What is the problem specifiaclly?
If the images are intended for web use I would recommend converting them to sRGB which could be done with Edit > Convert to Profile or with File > Save for Web, but as including a Save step in Actions and applying them as Batch can sometimes cause problems I would go with regular converting.
You could also try Image Processor Pro.
