Podcast subscriptions screwy, exclamation mark, resubscribing doesn't work

I did a search on this first, but I didn't find anything. If you know it's already posted, please just direct me to that URL.
I know how to deal with the exclamation mark regarding missing songs -- no problem there. But lately I've had some podcasts evidently lose their subscriptions. These podcasts are still coming out regularly, and I listen to pretty much everything every week, so it's not the lack of use.
Finding the "!" in the column to the left, I click on the podcast's arrow to take me to the iTunes page. I hit "Subscribe" again. Still the "!"
Any suggestions?

I went to the Apple Store for a One to One last week on several issues, but that guy didn't have a clue on this one. He recommended seeing a Genius for this and a couple of my other more technical issues. Sometime in the next week or so I'm hoping to set that up. If I do get any more clarification, I'll post it here.

    I'm having the same problem with 60 minutes - itunes indicates a bad podcast url.
    I've tried deleting and re-creating the itunes podcast entry - it did not work.

  • ITunes has recently began corrupting my music library and my Podcasts. An exclamation mark has appeared at the beginning of a random number of songs and against some Podcasts with the result that they will not play on iTunes. Message is that iTunes cannot

    iTunes has recently began corrupting my Music  and some of the Podcasts.  An exclamation mark appears at a random selection of songs - about a thoussanad of them - and they will not play as iTunes says that it cannot locate the file.  This also has happened on a number of Podcasts.  Any one else encountered this?

    This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
    Alternatively, if you are running Windows (you've posted in iTunes for Windows, but your sig mentions Mac OS X...), and as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

  • No longer able to download podcasts, get an exclamation mark on left of episode listing after clicking download icon

    suddenly cannot download new podcasts to my Shuffle.  After clicking the download icon, I get an exclamation mark to the left of the podcast label.  I tried resubscribing to the podcast with no success.

  • Question mark key doesn't work!!!!!!

    I have an HP Pavilion s3700y and have the most bizarre problem.  The question mark key won't work, regardless of what sort of keyboard i use.  Right now i'm using the wired keyboard that came with the system, HP kb-0630.  however i've also used  microsoft and logitech wireless keyboards with the same result.  everything else works fine but when i press the shift key and then the question mark key, nothing happens.  the forward slash underneath works fine but the question mark key is dead. 
    i'm running out of ways to write only declarative sentences and fear i will need to ask a question sooner or later.  know what i mean (ahhhhh!!!!!)
    any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Also check if the Question mark works in the On-Screen Keyboard. 
    Windows Vista/Windows 7pen On-Screen Keyboard by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking On-Screen Keyboard.
    Windows XP: Open On-Screen Keyboard by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, Clicking Accessibility and then On-Screen keyboard.
    Note:
    If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

    I have a group with lots of things inside it. When I press O to mark the out, nothing happens. Used to work in 2, now it doesn't.

    In any case, after quitting and restarting Motion 3, it's working now. Weird.

  • Subscription to Myanmar 60 mins doesn't work, but ...

    Hi, please help me to solve a problem with my subscription.
    I have paid for it 19th of March, and my order no is Order No. 595160215.But when I called to myanmar it was a note there that I overused my limit and subscribtion will start automatically 20th of March even I not used any minutes . Money are taken from my account. The billing information shows the transaction of those money. I looked at the histroy where the subscription was successfully delievered... BUT, not so successfully as far as  today is 21th and still nothing. When I try to call, it informs me of not enough credit and offers to acquire skype credit . I hope I will receive an answer as quick as possible, because it is emergency for me to call (to MYANMAR, mobile phone), and I have skype only. Thanks. 

    I exactly have the same problem with my subscription for 400 minutes France
    My subscribtion should have been renewed by the 19th already but my account screen still announces that I have 0 minutes left and the information tag says "Renews on Mar 19, 2012" ...
    March 18th I received an e-mail from Skype confirming the order delivery (Order number: 595106329)
    However, I don't find the payment on my credit card ... even if it's an automatic debit operation ... But how come I received the order delivery confirmation ?
    I hope I'll be able to use the Skype services very soon again as calling cell phones internationally is quite expensive without ...

  • Why do i have to use the podcast app in iOS6 since it doesn't work correctly

    I upgraded to iOS 6 and now you cant download podcasts through the itunes app... Now you have to download the podcast app and use that instead, but that wont work correctly for me... keeps hanging and not downloading the actual podcast. Does anyone know a way to get podcasts in iOS 6 without using this app?

    Separating out a podcast app is a step backward. From a marketing perspective, podcasts are seen as something independent from music and television. But from a functionality POV, it just makes it harder to manage your audio on your iPhone.
    Consumer Technology's objective has always been to make one device do more things, i.e. combine a phone into a music player. This step is akin to taking the ability to text and spinning it off onto a gadget you attach to your key-ring.
    It's still there, but annoying to dig out when you want to use it.

  • Fails to Boot + Question Mark + Menu & (-) doesn't work

    Last night after watching more than 45 minutes of an episode from my TV Shows, the screen froze. So I unplugged the ATV to restart it.
    It started making grinding sounds that I never heard before.
    Then it restarted with an Apple logo and stayed this way for long minutes.
    Then it started with ATV logo and a question mark on top of it.
    And now every time I unplug it to restart it I get the question mark on top of the ATV logo.
    I tried accessing the Safe Mode by holding the Menu Button & sign but it just reboots to get me back to ATV logo with a question mark on top of it.
    And before anybody asks, the ATV has never been tampered with whether its software or hardware.
    Is there anything that I can do?

    One thing - I assume you've unplugged all power/leads from AppelTV for a few mins and tried again.
    You will not be easily able to replace the hard drive as all the software is on it, so unless you had another AppleTv to dismantle and copy the drive (PATA not SATA 2.5"), you couldn't just stick a new drive in - there is no utility to rebuild the software on the drive available to the consumer.
    No way I'm aware of to perform diagnostics if you can't do the reboot to diagnostics remote sequence you mentioned earlier.
    Personally, unless you have a 2.5" PATA caddy/adapter lying around, and are prepared to dismantle and play, I think you'd be better off getting a replacement device or even a refurb from Apple with the same warranty.
    By all means enquire at your Apple store if they can repair, but I doubt it'd be offered or even economical.
    If you're happy to dismantle you could test the drive to see if it's alive using a PATA 2.5" drive connector/caddy connected to a Mac.
    While it might be another issue, I think the grinding noise and ? flashing really point to it being unable to find a boot volume due to drive failure.

  • Sound doesn't work! SB Audigy SE 24bit, vista 32bit (pc 64 b

    Dear reader,
    I bought a new pc last week with a Sound Blaster Audigy card (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 24bit). After 00 different approaches, my sound still does not work. Nothing at all.
    I have installed all the drivers via windows update, the cd and automatic update from Creative itself and disabled the integrated audio in the bios. I got Windows Vista 32 bit (but my pc is a 64 bit...).
    After quite some hopeless tries I thought I'd be helpful to let my device manager search for new updates, but somehow I have the feeling my cd-version has been replaced with an older version of the drivers, since right-click SB Audigy in the device manager (2nd Tab, drivers? Got a dutch pc) displays a driverversion of 5.2..200.
    Please aid me, I really want my SB Audigy to work now, and I don't want to work with the integrated sound of my pc (Realtek). My pc does recognize the SB Audigy card, but I think I'm missing a simple point somewhere.
    Oh btw, I got a 2. speakerset (Logitech Z4, with a cable with 2 green plugs and a subwoofer). And I am not sure where I should plug it into, since I got 6 "dots" in the back of my pc I can put it in to. 2 greens, 2 pink ones, a blue and a black. I suppose I need to plug it into a green one, but which one? The one on the top or the lower one?
    If you help me, I can tell you with trust you are my hero! It frustrates me alot.

    to check your sound card whether it is working properly or not, go to device manager, and double-click "Sound, video and game controllers". you should see your sound card being listed w/o an odd icon (either a cross or a exclamation mark) if it is working properly.

    you should connect your speakers to the green connector on the pci bracket (i.e. your sound card), not the green connector on the motherboard I/O (i.e. w/ mouse, keyboard, serial, usb, etc...)

    In the iPhoto preferences you can set Apple Mail as your e-mail client and then it will work exactly as before

    You get exclamation marks or dead tracks because  iTunes can’t find the file. This can happen for a number of reasons:
    The song file or a folder in its path was renamed
    The song file or the folder it is in has been moved
    The song file has been deleted
    The device containing the song files e.g. external drive is not accessible or the drive letter has changed..
    Usually the actual music files are still there, so you need to check to see if you can find them.
    If they are there, open iTunes and select a problem track, right click and select Get Info.
    Answer NO when asked if you want to locate the track.
    Now you should see where iTunes thinks the tack is located on the summary tab, how does this compare with where the track actually is.
    This info should help work out what has gone wrong.

    Visibility of the Podcasts section is controlled from within the Edit > Preferences dialog.
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
    Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
    See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
    Missing tracks
    Typically this can happen because a file or folder is accidentally shunted to the wrong location. iTunes can also get confused if it expects to be talking to an external drive which isn't there. If will often reset the default media folder location and may have trouble finding files in the old folders.
    Select one of your tracks that is missing in action. Press CTRL-I to Get Info. Cancel when asked to try to locate the file, then look at the location given on the summary tab. This where iTunes thinks the file ought to be? Now find out where it actually is. Post back the two locations for comparison. I should be able to give you some steps to reconnect everything once I can determine which of the things that might have gone wrong is most likely in your case.
    When you get it all working make a backup!
