Podcast will not load in safari from server, but will load in other Apps
Podcast will not load in safari from iWeb Page from server, but will load in Firefox and other web apps.
Here the problem: I have a podcast page made in iWeb. It is setting on a server with GoDaddy. When I try load page with Safari, I get where the Quicktime Playing Bars are a small Quicktime Logo w/? mark and will not download or play. But in Firefox, My iPad and in Windows side it will load and play. Also it play on a friends Macbook Pro in Safari. (Note it will play in my Safari after Firefox has play -it "very strange to me" like Firefox will open some port, but it will not stay open if quit Safari re-booth-it) I have remove the .plist for Quicktime & Safari. And clean out the Cache for Safari. Also have re-set the Firewall setting to Enable Stealth Mode only. Re-load the site to GoDaddy. This is happening to both Mac's in my network and in all users accounts.
My Network is a A&TT with a 2Wire w/wrieless turn off. going into and Airport Extreme Base Station w/N generation network. One computer is connected with and ethernet cable to the Airport extreme base station the other is a wireless contection.
I do feel this and network issue and I can't seem to solve-it. How can I get Safari to open the port and download and play-it on my network?
We've only discover this yesterday. One of our listeners sent me an e-mail about-it. With a little more research this morning. I've discover that everybody I've had check-it is have the same problem only with Safari 4.0.5. So I'm starting to feel that this is an Apple Safari Bug in 4.0.5 for the Mac only. It seems to be OK everywhere else on other devices. I agree in most cases this is not a problem. But when have older people who do not download into iTunes around the world it is to them. We have 250 or more listeners a week. This is a Church podcast.
For right now we are planing to post a message on the site saying you will not be able to listen to the podcast in Safari, but can in Firefox and ect.

I have a MAC running Maverick. MP3 sounds will not play in Safari or FireFox, but will play if you download the file locally to the Desktop. How to resolve this?
You probably have an internet plugin installed that is preventing the MP3s from playing. I just checked a site with an MP3, and it played, rather than downloaded.
The internet plugin folders are at:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins and
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
(~/Library is hidden by default. Let me know if you don't know how to access it.)
My internet plugins were all in /Library; there were none in ~/Library.
Try moving these folders to the desktop (don't delete them), restarting, and then seeing if the MP3s play.
They it will be trial and error to see which plugin is responsible. -
ipod touch will not connect to itunes @ work computer, but will connect to itunes @ home computer? why won't itunes see my ipod at work?
Try here:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
Mac OS X v10.6 or later: iOS device not recognized in iTunes after restart -
My MacBook Pro will not connect to my home wifi but will connect everywhere else. My other Apple devices (I-pad, I-touch, another MacBook Pro) connect to the router without problems. It was working fine but all of a sudden stopped working. Thanks!
try this.
get back into your router's settings and start deleting devices that are not connected to your router.
you can also delete the ones that are connected - they'll connect again.
on the DHCP side of it, increase the amount of users that can connect/log in to your router.
see if that sorts it out for you.
good luck. -

And will not start up in safe mode. I have reset PRAM and SMC. Also restarted with no startup items, no luck. Had the problem of waking from sleep and not shutting down in 10.7, updated to 10.8 hoping for fix, no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
ThanksHi, this log has some similarities to my ipod touch which seems to be not sleeping properly due to wireless issues. Can I check - are you using a wifi connection - if so have you tried ethernet?

My Apple computer has OSX Version 10.9.3 installed, IPHOTO 9.5.1, IMOVIE 7.1.4 and IDVD 7.1.2. Before I installed OSX and IPHOTO 9.5.1 updates I could burn disks of my videos and they would show on all my DVD players and still do. The disks I recently burns will not show on my Samsung Blu-ray player, but, will show on my regular player. I tried in both Magic DVD and One Step DVD From Movies with the same results. I used the same process before and after the problem. I am 75 years old and am not as computer savvy so I am not sure were to start troubleshooting the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
DonWhat brand and type of DVD disk did you use? The most recommended brands around here are Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R.
What speed did you burn at? It's recommended to burn at the slowest speed possible to ensure the best quality disk, 2x -4x.
I have a Sony BlueRay player that will not take most of my home burned disks. It seems to be more particular. -

any ideas?

My Iphone4S has worked perfectly on my home Wifi, but all of a sudden recognizes it but will not connect. My wife's phone still works on our home WIFI. All it does is recognize signal and keep rotating the gray circular bar. Before I throw it out in the street does anyone have any suggestions? I have already checked all the steps that Apple suggests including resetting network connections
Did you try rebooting the router?

None of the browsers (Firefox, IE or Chrome) will connect to websites. They open but just keep cycling
I have tried all of the options in that first link you showed and none worked. I also configured my firewall (Windows Firewall) and ensured firefox was in the "Allow" list, which it was. I still have the issue.
I did notice something interesting though. When I first checked the firewall, Mozilla firefox wasn't on the list at all. I had to manually add it and then made sure it was allowed to connect to the internet. Even after I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, I never got one of those windows notifications asking me if I wanted to add a rule for firefox. Checking the firewall settings again, firefox was still absent. I don't think it matters, firefox doesn't work with no rules at all in the firewall, or if I manually add the rule and allow firefox to connect.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks in advance for your help -
This happened many times today. There is no specific page. I usually have a page open and try to redirect from that page. It shows "connecting", but never does. I have run many scans which all turn up clean. Why is this happening and what can be done to fix it?

IPhone 5 calendar will not sync back to google calendar but will work in the other direction
Any help or anyone having a similar problem?it seems to be a google server problem
It used to work fine, but after our system administrator changed our google login name, I started experiencing problems with syncing. If I set something on my PC on my google calendar, it will show up on my phone. If I set something on my phone, it doesn't sync to google calendar in the cloud. What's worse, because the event isn't in the cloud, it deletes it from my phone. I have successfully changed my log in information on my phone and the e-mail part works fine. Only having problems with the calendar. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi,
My iphoto program stopped downloading to the program, it will download to the computer though. I cannot edit the photos because they are not in the program. Can someone tell me what is wrong. Thanks! No - I have no idea what yours concern even is
iPhoto does not "download" to any place - it does import and the only place it imports to is the iPhoto library so this statement makes no sense at all
My iphoto program stopped downloading to the program, it will download to the computer though.
And it is really helpful to know what version of iPhoto you have and what version of the OS you have
One possible off the wall guess with no information is that your have your events sorted incorrectly (fix by the view menu ==> sort events) or that your camera dates are incorrect

After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?
What is your Adobe Reader version?
What browser are you using and browser version?

I don't understand this???
I can import to iMovie and iDVD, but not with FCP/Compressor?
I just burn a movie (MPEG-4) with iDVD, it took a LONG-LONG time, but it worked.
With DVDSP and FCP, I have to open the movie in QT export to DV file, import to FCP - adjust, MANUALLY, within FCP for correct aspect ratio, render, and export to compressor. This is really complicated via the PRO Apps....isn't it?Wait... so you're trying to burn an MPEG-4 with DVDSP? Why not just import to Compressor, change the ratio there, export to MPEG2, and bring that into DVDSP? I don't get why you're exporting to a DV file or whatever. When you drop an MPEG4 into iDVD it's really just doing the MPEG4>MPEG2 conversion automatically.
