Podcasting. am i missing something here? please help.

Hi everyone,
I'm a little confused with how to podcast. I have some videos that I have made in Final Cut Pro and exported to Ipod files that are sitting on my desktop. How do I podcast them. I have read the info on How to Podcast and am stumped on these RSS feed links. Do podcasts work like "youtube" or do I need to set up a website to put them on to have a URL?
Am I going about this the wrong way.
Please let me know if I can podcast my video's from the desktop of my Mac.

Here are the instructions from iWeb's "Help" menu about "Submitting a podcast to the iTunes Music Store":
You can use iWeb to submit your podcast series to the iTunes Music Store, so that it appears on the Podcast page when people visit the music store online. Visitors to the music store can listen to or download your podcast for free.
Note: Your website visitors can listen and subscribe to your podcast directly from your website, even if you don’t submit the podcast to the public iTunes Music Store.
To submit a podcast to the iTunes Music Store:
In the site organizer, select the main blog page or the blog entry that contains the podcast you want to submit.
If the Blog & Podcast Inspector isn't open, click Inspector in the toolbar (or choose View > Show Inspector), click the Blog & Podcast Inspector button, and then click Podcast.
Enter information about the podcast series or episode.
Artist: Include the author or artist of the series or episode.
Parental Advisory: To help alert parents to content that may be inappropriate for children, iTunes provides Clean and Explicit labels, which you can add to your podcasts (or you can choose to have no label).
Contact email: You can provide the music store with a way to contact you or your podcast’s artist. This information is not visible in iTunes.
Make sure the "Allow Podcast in iTunes Music Store" checkbox is selected and then choose File > Submit Podcast to iTunes.
In the Submit window, enter the information you want to include in your podcast.
Some information—such as the fields you completed in step 3—may already appear in the Submit window.
If you have artwork you want to appear with your podcast, drag it to the graphic placeholder at the top of the Submit window.
Click “Publish and Submit.”
In the iTunes window, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the submission process.
Note: When you submit a podcast to the iTunes Music Store, all your iWeb sites are published.
It may take a while for the podcast to appear in the iTunes Music Store.

The image is correctly referenced in the feed, is the correct dimensions and within the 500kB file size limit, so you've done your part correctly.
The iTunes Store can be flaky about images: it's not that unusual for a new image to take quite a long time to appear, or for an existing one to disappear for a time. I'm afraid there isn't really much you can do about it except wait for the Store to get its act together.
You could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com but I'm afraid you are likely to get a form response telling you how to provide an image, which you already know.

I rented a movie on my iPhone 4, and it didn't have enough space to download the rest. It won't let me delete it cause it still wants to finish downloading, and I can't find it through itunes. Am I missing something? Please help.

Sounds like your iPhone is in recovery mode as the update failed. You will now need to restore the iPhone to factory settings with iTunes on a computer. If your iPhone is not being recognised by your computer read one of the articles below based on your computers OS:

You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you are unable to download the purchases from your purchase history, because iTunes believes the songs to be in your library. It may be necessary to delete the items from your library, then re-download from your purchase history. Before doing so, you may want to take note of which song are available for re-download:

I have just put my mates birthday in his contact along with his E mail, address and so on.
I then went into my calendar to find how it was displayed and nothing was there.
OK I thought I'll add it in calendar and only found a setting for meeting, memo and anniversary.
Have I missed something or can the N70 not remind me about my mates birthday ???

iCloud backup automatically saves your pictures, but you only get 5GB. What i'd reccomend is that you put those pics on flickr or Facebook, so you can access them anywhere, and i know at least facebook has auto upload as an option, so that any time you take a picture, it saves it to that.
Goals: Choose FB, Dropbox, Picasa, or Flickr, then enable auto upload.
In settings-icloud-storage and backup, deselect camera roll.
End result: Photos available anywhere, backed up safely, and your phone backs up.

Am i missing something here? I want to save files on my iMac and have them available on my iPad without having to manually upload or drag and drop to iWork on iCloud through Safari - can this be done?

Thank you - I asked the question in an Apple Store yesterday and they told me that as long as I had Documents and Data selected (iCloud, System Preferences) I could store files on my mac and they'd automatically appear on iCloud for sussequent editing on my iPad. I made it clear I was interested in iWork files not just photos or music.......so I guess they were incorrect! I'll await Mountain Lion - many thanks.

After reviewing my options in the new More Everything plan it appears it changes nothing. I save nothing. If this is Verizon's answer to the ATT $160 10GB plan or T Mobiles new promotions it is weak. I don't get it. I was waiting to see what Verizon's response would be in the hope I could stay at Verizon and save a few bucks on my bill. They have taken essentially the same plan as always and just renamed it. Again, am I missing something here?

Why don't you compare apples to apples? At&t $160 10 GB is assuming you are using 4 smartphones and requires you to either use their Next plan or pay full price up front. Verizon's 4 lines 10 GB Edge plan is $180 a month. So Yes Verizon is $20 more per month, but it's not THAT much more than At&t.

How did you open the new document? What Image mode is the document in and what exactly did you copy to the clipboard? What was the current Photoshop target when you did the copy? Was it a straight copy or a copy merge etc...

Look in Windows Explorer, Music Library, My Music, iTunes, iTunes Media, Music which is where your library should be located. If it isn't there make sure you have the first two items on the advanced tab of the preferences ticked, then on the file menu select Library and Organise Library which should put all music remaining on your PC into the iTunes library.
Alternatively, if you can find where the music has become relocated to, move it into the automaticall 'add to iTunes' folder within itunes Media and it should then go back into your library.

Missing recording clip - PLEASE HELP!

Recording some speech clips in GB and went back to them this am to find them missing... I did discover that if I move the clips back and forth through the track, they shorten (cutting off) other clips that take up the same space... So if I slid a recorded clip over too far, and it covered over my previous clip is it gone forever?
I'm working on a senior project and it's due tomorrow and now I'm missing audio

I was afraid of that.
I wish that didn't happen. I would think that if you slide a clip over, it might push the other clips along with it, or hide it underneath or something to prevent loss of data...
I think ACID worked like that.
