Podcasts and Error "Attempt to copy-failed"

ERROR: "Attempt to copy to disk <named> failed. The disk can not be read from or written to."
I am experiencing this while sync'n podcasts. Anyone experience a similar problem with podcasts?

After further investigation, an individual file was canceling the download que on to the iPod. Deleting the file fixed the problem.
I find it strange one file could cause iTunes to lay fault on the iPod and not simply go to the next file. I'm using an old version of both and this may be fixed in later versions.

I get the error above when I am trying to transfer videos to my ipod that I have purchased from the Itunes music store. 4 of the videos I purchased worked and the other 4 would not transfer. I am not sure how to fix it. I have already restored my ipod once and that did not correct the problem.
Any suggestions on what I should do next?

This is my first experience with iPod and I read the directions. I imported songs to the computer OK. The iPod came and it connected to the computer fine. The system was loading songs on the iPod just fine. After song 68 I get this error messge: "attempting to copy to the disk "name" failed. The disk couild not be read from or written to." This sounds bad. I tried the 4 step reset. I have itunes v8 on the windows XP Pro machine. And, the Nano plays the 68 songs just fine. Every time I try to synch more songs (and I even tried manual) I get the error and everything comes to a hault. Suggestions, please. Thanks.

In the middle of udating my ipod, I receive an error message that states "Attempting to copy to disk failed. An unknown error occurred (-124)". I have tried the 5 R's and all I did was loose all the musice that was initially stored on the ipod....Does anyone have any idea how to fix this error....Any help would be appreciated.

when i try to synch my ipod after a minute or two i get a message that says- attempt to copy to phils ipod failed. disc could not be read from or written to. my partner has an ipod too (we bought them at the same time- last wednesday)that is giving her the same message when she attempts to synch it. what can we do, and to be honest i'm a whisker away from taking it back to the shop cos its just been one thing after another and its only been a week!

Nothing has changed, all i am trying to do is sync my iPhone 3GS to my iTunes (Latest Update).
After clicking sync it attempts to do so, it gets to the backing up stage, then soon as this completes i get the following 2 errors right after eachother.
the iphone "name" cannot be synced, you do not have enough access privledges for this operation
(Click OK)
Attempting to copy to the disc c:\ you do not have enough access privileges for this operation sync
Then Sync cancels and nothing is done,

Got this stupid issue again, however it only happens when im trying to copy music from anywhere to my itunes, it works perfectly fine if i run as administrator however when i do this i am unable to Drag and drop music into itunes. and i dont want a stupid windows 7 popup every time i run itunes asking if i want to run it.

Microphone gone and error message Audio init failed

1.   I had a microphone that worked. When it stopped working I went to Sound: Recording Devices and it stated "No audio devices are installed". How do I get my microphone back?
2.   Audio Init Failed:   The audio works fine with video and music files. My professor posts information as an audio file. When I go to the website, I get the error message "Audio Init Failed".
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having exactly the same problem.
iTunes will sync contacts, and calendars, etc to the iphone but no music to the iphone or my ipod.
In addition I have imported tracks not playing properly (they play for a couple of seconds, then skip to next track).
Major nightmare, I use my ipod for work.

However, after restarting and attempting to install the media, it provides the error message "P2PP BurnBoot Check Failed." I ran tests on the hard drive and memory and both passed just fine. I read about the BIOS date but mine is already set for 2012. Any suggestions?

Error-36 and Error-42 when copying files from SD card

Hello!
I recently switched from a PC user to a mac user! Everything is great, but ever since I got the computer (refurbished 15in macbook pro) ive had problems with copying files from my SD card to my computer!! It so frustrating! Ive tried everything! I even called apple support, and after 30 minutes of calling came to no solution! I keep getting error-36 error-43 and sometimes error-8058 !!! I tried formatting with no success, because my computer cant read the disk! It is a PNY professtional 32gb sd card. Im not sure if this problem is happening due to the fact that I previousley used this same SD on my PC, but im going to return this computer if it doesnt fix! Ive also tried doing to terminal commands but it doesn't work! Please help!!

I'm having similar problems and I'm using a 1Tb HDD ( USB connection) which has 3 partitions. I have discovered that after some time (not clear what triggers it) I start being unable to use one partition for backups. When I checked further I discovered that I cannot write any file no matter what size to it. The problem has normally disappeared for a while when I restart my computer. I've done disk verifies and things are fine. The other two partitions are Ok ... I use one for TimeMachine and the other for SuperDuper. This partition is primarily used for ChronoSync backups so I suspect that the problem is related to how ChronoSync backs up but I have yet to convince their tech support of that.

I just tried to load the latest version of itunes, and got a windows error 1114, and error 7. It failed to load. Anyone have this problem?? How to solve??

pls help I get the above error Attempting to copy to the disk "J" failed. An unknown error occured (-69) when I connect my ipod nano 8GB Gen 3 and try to synch. This is the same thing that just happened to me. My error message reads as follows: "Attempting to copy to the disk "C's IP" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to". I've reset and restored. It still will not add the last 3 songs that I have purchased from Itunes. I have completely read the manual and can't find anything that deals with this problem. I have only had my ipod for 10 months. I hope someone can help with this.
