Podcasts are gone

Hi,
Ever since upgrading a few months ago I can't get any podcasts with itunes, just the spinning disk. Any help appreciated, thanks...

I fixed the problem. Somehow settings in the iTunes parental control got changed and it blocked podcasts and other items.

  • I downlaoded the latest iTunes version and now my Podcasts are gone from iTunes on my computer.  Where can I access them on iTunes on my computer?

I downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my computer, and now my Podcasts are gone from iTunes (on my computer).  Can I still access Podcasts in iTunes (on my computer) ? (I see the latest Podcasts downloading, but can't find them in iTunes.  What am I overlooking?)

Could be since it (security software) is listed as #5 in the following:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

  • Updated and now all of my podcasts are gone!!!

I updated the app and now everything is gone!!! Do I have to start completely over again???

I've updated too . To version 2.1 and I can't see my podcats. It crashes after a minute or só just showing a blank screen.
Don't know if i lost mu subscriptions.... Did i?
Also, to who can i send the crash logs from the Podcasts app?

  • All my podcasts are suddenly deleted !!

I have the latest version of iTunes .. and my iPhone 4s is running the latest iOS .. It had less than 1 GB of free storage .. I was syncing my device and suddenly all my podcasts are gone from my iTunes, iPhone and even from my hard disk .. This is really annoying .. any solution guys??

On the *Now Playing* screen, if you cannot see the scrubber bar (with the time into the epsiode) tap the screen briefly to make it show up. Then, on the right hand side of the scrubber bar overlay, just below the time remaining, you'll see a blue box with x2 in it. This means "play Podcasts at double speed".
Tap the box twice, first time it will switch to half speed and second time to get it to x1, or normal playback speed.

  • Backed up my songs from itunes onto a hard drive and now my playlists in itunes are gone! How do I retrieve them back to the way it was before?

Help! My husband backed up my songs from itunes onto a hard drive and now my playlists in itunes are gone from my library! How do I retrieve them back to the way it was before?

    Hello Nataroo007,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
There is a file in the iTunes library folder that contains your playlist information is the iTunes Library.xml file.
Try and find the file, usually located in one of these locations depending on your OS:
    Operating System
    Default location of iTunes Folder
    Mac OS X
    /Users/[your username]/Music
    Microsoft Windows XP
    \Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\My Music\
    Microsoft Windows Vista
    \Users\[your username]\Music\
    Microsoft Windows 7
    \Users\[your username]\My Music\
Then you can import this file to your iTunes Library like this:
    1. Choose File > Library > Import Playlist.
    2. Navigate to the "iTunes Library.xml" file
    3. Windows users: Click Open.
If your Podcasts list in iTunes is empty after following these steps, learn how to add them back into iTunes.
Note: information in this post comes from article:

  • Podcasts are "stuck"; keep getting the same podcasts no matter what

    Greetings,
Gee, it seems the only problem I ever have with my iPhone is syncing. And it's started again.
I have subscriptions to about 30 podcasts, about half of those are checked to sync with my iPhone. About a week or so ago, I would listen to a podcast but when I synced with iTunes it would get marked as "new" again, reset, and stay on the iPhone. If I manually deleted it on the iPhone, the next sync would copy it back.
I've have this kind of problem in the past and it eventually just corrected itself, so I've just ignored the problem for several days.
Now it's gotten completely stuck. Trying to get the iPhone and iTunes to "re-sync" I turned off several podcasts in Podcast tab of iTunes and synced. Nothing happened. The podcasts are still on the iPhone. So I manually deleted from the iPhone and synced again. iTunes copied the disabled and deleted podcast bask to the iPhone!
So I tried to get radical. I reset and restored my iPhone from backup. Turned off all podcast syncing. All of the podcasts were still on the iPhone. I then turned podcast syncing back on, but unchecked every one of my regular podcasts and then check one, and only one, podcast that I normally never listen to on the iPhone. I then manually deleted +every single podcast+ on the iPhone. When I synced with iTunes, *iTunes (again) copied every single one of the disabled podcasts back to the iPhone!!!* Oh, and the one podcast I asked iTunes to put on the iPhone; it's not there. ;(
How can I "reset" the synchronization of podcasts between my iPhone and iTunes so they're talking to each other again? And please don't say wipe your iPhone—I have dozens of applications with settings and data that would all be lost. It would be easier to give up podcasts than the day it would take me to reconfigure every iPhone app.

I appear to have found a fix.
I changed my sync settings to 'manually manage music'.
Once i applied this the podcast icon underneath my device disappeared.
I then unchecked 'manually manage music' and applied the change.
the podcast icon underneath my device in itunes flickered on and off a few times then when it was finished syncing all the podcasts had gone.

  • Sync'ed iPod to pick up a new album, and now all others are gone

    Background:
I'm a long-time iTunes user and am on my third iPod and third iBook on the same libary, which is over 1500 songs. All either purchased from the iTunes store or uploaded from my CD collection. The libary is stored on an external Firewire hard drive. Sometimes I've lost several albums, and upgrades and re-syncs discovers them again. Today I have a specific example to inquire about here.
I have all of the albums by the same artist--eight or so--and was given her latest, so I uploaded the CD to iTunes. Today I realized I hadn't synced it to my iPod (30gig newest gen) so ran a sync. Now I have the new album, but all of the other albums from this artist are gone.
I would like to restore them, and if possible find out what else has been blown away. I don't sync Podcasts, movies, or videos to my client devices from the library--just songs.
The current "host" Mac for the library is my G4 running 10.5.1, this was iTunes 7.5. I also share to a MacBook, and AppleTV.
I'd like iTunes to just manage my music library, regardless of size. One would expect that original function to work by version 7.

While that may work9I do not think it will) with iTunes purchased music it will not work for other music.
    - Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - For other music you will need a third-party program like one of those discussed here.

I am very worried about this please I require your help.

Last week I did not have this problem, but today I am having it again. Nothing has changed except that I updated the feed last night/early this morning. Is there any explanation why my episodes keep disappearing en masse from iTunes?

Since the gone on to iTunes to my cloud to download some songs but all my tunes are gone?

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

  • HELP!!OMG!SONGS ARE GONE!

omg, I just opened iTunes and..ALL THE SONGS WERE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's like I used iTunes for the first time!!
ALL the songs, ALL the podcasts and ALL the video are gone!!
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO???HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Did this just randomly happen or did it happen after an upgrade? Go to the iTunes TaskBar and under File, Click on Add Folder to Library and search your harddrive for them. Your Harddrive actually stores the music itself. All iTunes does is hold the file path in order to reference it by. So, if the music is gone from your harddrive, there is another reason as to why this has happened. You should be able to find the music on your harddrive.
    Good Luck and post back.

  • Hello can someone help me I have an iphone 4 and my daughter has an ipod touch we are on the same email address but somehow with in the last 25hrs all of my contacts are gone and only hers on on my phone is there a way for me to get all my contacts back?

If you need assistance with finding any of your restores or attempting to restore from any that happened prior to his incident follow this article
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
IF you do find a backup that has your contacts; I'd /highly/ recommand turning off your wifi network after the restore is finished because if the issue is with your iCloud your contacts may merge back with her's.
With iCloud you DO NOT want to share the account; bad things happen Evil evil thigns...
But in all seriousness; if two devices have the same iCloud; iCloud is told to merge and sync infomation between hte two and can't tell that it doesn't belong to the same person

  • Pictures are gone after iOS 8 update

After the iOS 8 update, I went to my picture gallery and all but 43 of my pictures are gone. I've gone to Photos --> Collections and still, only those 43 images are there. Where did my pictures go and how do I get them back?

You should be storing everything on your computer.  Just sync them to the iPhone.
Did you update without making sure that you had imported everything to your computer?

  • PLEASE HELP ............ all memos are GONE!

These memos are my life and I always have the palm desktop app open.  I rebooted last night because of an update for another program and now all the memos are GONE!
How do I get them back?  When I upgrade to the new version of hot sync a couple of months ago all of it synced except for about 20% of the memos.  Now all have disappeared!
    What happened?
    Post relates to: Palm TX

I'm sorry .......... I'm just so frantic over losing all the memos.
    I have a Tx.
    OS: XP Home Media Edition
    Palm desktop 6.2.2
OK, this is how inexperienced I am with my Palm Tx though I've had it for years now ....... sorry.
The only thing I've changed is to update the Palm Desktop when I got a pop-up telling me to.  Everything was fine before that.  I updated the desktop and tried to sync.  Everything synced except for about  15% of the memos.  I tried to resync several times all with the same outcome.  The issue was never resolve because the desktop was intact ...... the files were missing on the Tx.  I stopped syncing since the desktop appeared stable and I'm in the process of transitioning everything over to my Droid Charge.  Nothing had been done.
Last sync was back in March.
The PC was rebooted because of an date to another program.  I opened the Palm Desktop and all my memos were gone!
I'm desparate .......... to the extreme.  Would a system restore bring back the files?
I just downloaded the NVBackup and will attempt to get that going.
