Podcasts downloaded with iOS sync back to Mac iTunes with wrong title
When I acquire podcast episodes on an iOS device, either my iPod Touch or iPad, via the iTunes store program, these podcasts have the correct title.
But once I sync this device back to iTunes on my laptop, these podcast episodes no longer have the correct title, but usually are re-titled "rss", and read as such on both the iOS device and iTunes.
Is there something that's wrong with either my iOS devices or iTunes? Or is this a bug that needs addressing?

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again. -
Problem with iOS 5; Backing up from iTunes.
I have a hugh problem when uppdating to iOS 5. When I try to configure the iPhone after uppdating: I try to choose back-up from iTunes but it just says "connect to iTunes" but iTunes allready have install all the back-up and it's connected. I've tried unplugg and plugg in again like 100 times. What shall I do?
Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?

"No SIM installed" alert (GSM models only)
Remove the SIM card (micro-SIM on iPhone 4). Insert the SIM eject tool or the end of a small paper clip into the hole on the SIM tray. Press firmly and push it straight in until the tray pops out. See this document for more information.
Verify the SIM card is not damaged or dirty.
Reinstall the SIM card.
Turn the phone off and back on.
Wait approximately two minutes, then see if iPhone detects the SIM card and if it will register on the network.
If that doesn't work, try another SIM card, if possible, to see if it is detected. -
Have a student / teacher subscription. Trying to download and install applications on new mac pro with yosemite. Old applications still work on older Mac Pro. Can't download any applications. Creative Cloud website and desktop app both fail. Very frustrating. Anyone having this problem?
Chas50 I would recommend removing the currently installed Adobe Creative software. You can then install the new versions of the Adobe Creative software included with your membership. My iPhone with 40 or so percent randomly shuts down with iOS 7 and 6. Often with the camera app stating the phone is out of battery. Moments later I turn it back on and the same battery life still appears. It sometimes happens over and over until I leave it alone for a while (still not charging), and then it works.
I think you might get a new phone instead of repairing it as it takes time and you said the repairing center is far from your living place

Iphone 6 with IOS 8.0.2 bluetooth broken with RHB430N Radio in 2011 Ram 1500
I got my 64GB Iphone 6 just after release date, paired properly with my RHB430N radio in my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 and worked great. When the new update of IOS came out 8.0.2, I installed that on my phone. Now the bluetooth is broken with my radio. It seems to pair ok from the radio side but I get a message that the phone cant see the uconnect radio during pairing. When I try and make a call, It wont work through voice activation, if I do get to work, the call stays active for about 5sec on the radio then it shuts off, the phone stays on making the call. Weird!
I tried a factory reset on the radio, as well as network reset on my iphone with no luck. My Iphone 4S i had previously paired and worked fine with IOS 7.1.2
anyone else with the issue? I noticed a few other people with different vehicle makes with the same issue after the 8.0.2 update and like I said it paired and worked fine with IOS 8.0 out of the box.
any fixes or work arounds available meantime?I got my 6 three days ago (fine device, by the way. Meg St Clair will be proud of me: I finally took the plunge, I who claimed that I would never buy another iPhone, but I'm dithering...), and so far, no issues, none whatsoever, when syncing my phone via USB.
WiFi syncing is another matter, though, because the phone simply doesn't appear in iTunes. I've checked all the right boxes, made sure the phone was set to accept WiFi syncing, to no avail.
I'll look into it this weekend, just in case I missed something.
But I can tell you this: all the content I had backed-up is now back on the phone, nothing's missing. I have a 2006 MacBook Pro running Snow Leppard. -

You will still need to connect it to a computer's iTunes to reset it, and you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to do so : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If it's not a computer that it's been synced to then do you have a backup on iCloud that you could then restore from ? Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the items are still in the store, you may be able to re-download some/all of your purchases via the Purchased tabs in the iTunes and App Store apps, and the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app. -

There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.

I'm trying to update my iOS to 6.0, using iTunes (with my 4s connected via USB and WiFi is on also). I get a message that 'there are purchased items on my iPhone that have not been transferred to my iTunes library. Yet, I can't find those items! Help! Transfered photos from IMac with Iphoto 9 to a mac book with Iphoto 11 now Iphoto 09 errors out saying "You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto." We have not updated or changed anything on the IMac all we did is transfer photos. Any help would be appreciated.
LarryHN is correct. The only way this message occurs is if the iPhoto Library database is upgraded to a newer version.
You could try holding SHIFT-OPT-COMMAND when launching iPhoto from the dock and checking only "Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" and hope it restores the previous database prior to the upgrade.
If that doesn't work, you can install iPhoto '11 on your iPhoto '09 computer. If I understood the iPhoto '11 Mac App License agreeement correctly, you can install it on any personal, non-commerical computer you own running 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7. -

Yes. You cannot Restore a Backup to an Earlier version of iOS.

Ipad and iphone with IOS 7 but older Mac - How?
I have an IMac with 10.5.8 system and iTunes 10.6.3. I recently got an iphone 5 and ipad 3 with IOS 7. Now I cannot sync them with my itunes library. It refuses to recognise them and tells me to upgrade to iTunes 11.1. but I cannot and when i try to update my Imac OS it will not let me either saying I all software is upto date. What do I do to get my stuff onto my ipad - I have a library of personal / family vids I converted to play and sync from my itunes account but now cannot get them onto my ipad / iphone? Wireless transfer works fine for stuff and apps purchased from iTunes but I have a couple of itunes accounts, one from years back but has a lot of stuff on it (UK one) and a newer one I had to create on moving to Japan permamently as I now have no registered address in the UK. How do I add an additional Apple ID to my iphone / ipad? Can this even be done anymore?
Beginning to wish I had never upgraded to ios 7 as all worked fine before. Can I undo this upgrade?

Podcasts downloaded via wi-fi show as "--:--" after iTunes sync
3rd Gen Ipod Touch 64 GB using iOS4 attaching to Windows 7 with iTunes 9.2. I manually sync videos, music, apps, podcasts.
I download about a half dozen podcasts via wi-fi every week.
Ever since the upgrade to iOS4, whenever I attach my iTouch to iTunes then detach, all of my podcasts show a time of "--:--". At that point I can no longer "scrub" the podcasts and move forward and back in time. They still play but if you attempt to scrub, it jumps right back to the beginning.
If I delete and re-download them via wi-fi all is well again, at least until I attach to iTunes again.I wish I had an answer, but my I-Pod does the same thing. This needs an immediate fix my apple.
My I-Pod is set for me to manually manage music. Is there a setting that will keep I-Tunes from automatically synching podcasts?
