Podcasts "episodes to keep" not working...

I cannot get the "episodes to keep" in my Dave Ramsey podcast to stick. I have keep the last 3 episodes but it keeps them all. I have to manually delete the 4th upon completion of the most recent one downloaded.
What am I doing wrong?

Just wanted to let you know or anyone else trying to figure out this issue of iTunes episodes to keep feature. You have to right click on your podcast heading and enable "auto delete" before it will function correctly.
What I find amazing is that after reading many articles online about this feature and how to get it to work, not one article showing the set up said you have to set the podcast to "auto delete." I figured it out on my own.

Tom at the Genius Bar told me that Option Delete would work. It does not.
I had to upgrade to iTunes 11.1.(I26) because it is required with OS7 on my iPod Touch (5th Gen). I have tried shutting down iTunes, then shutting down the entire system. This is the first in many visits that the Genius Bar gave me a solution that did not work.
This is a big awkward computer locked to my desk. I would rather not unlock it and then carry it through a shopping center to the Genius Bar if i can avoid oit.
When I installed iTunes 11.1, I discovered that Ihad to resubscribe to virtually all of the podcasts that I had previously been subscribed to. That was a surprise.

I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:

In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

drag the other clip 'over' the main clip
the 2nd clip has to be selected/yellow border...
then you're prompted in the Inspector with the several options...

I have tried clicked "remove podcast" on each of the DMLive podcast pages, explaining to them who I was and what my job title was here, but all I got in return was an e-mail that said "have the administrator contact us." As I explained above, there is no admin on this account anymore and whoever was the admin has long since moved on.

For understandable reasons, just because there is "no admin on this account anymore" does not mean they will take instructions from someone else.
Make clear to Customer Service that you are now the officially responsible party on that account now.

Pinged my new podcast episode - it's not appearing

Hi - I thought I read in this forum yesterday that the podcast updating issues were now working but I have a valid feed and have pinged every day for the last few days and my new episode is not listed.
Any ideas?

Help: I've had my Lucid 3 phone since May and this phone has been the most confusing thing to operate. I'm currently having three (3) issues:
The Wi-Fi is not working...I keep getting the symbol refreshing. I can't turn the Wi-Fi on or off. I read "Turning Wi-Fi on..." when I go to the setting for Wi-Fi but this has been going on for 3 hours. C'mon! My Wi-Fi at home is working great; that's how I'm writing this post. Help!
To add to the misery: I keep getting a pop-up notification that reads: "Unfortunately, the android.process.acore has stopped." What is this and why does it not work. The phone's been getting this message for a week now...help!
Last concern: I'm still not getting multimedia texts (particularly pictures). The data and Wi-Fi were on...well, that's when the Wi-Fi was working (please refer to complaint #1 above). What the heck?
This phone is terrible news and I can't wait to replace it. In the meantime, the phone needs to work. Help.

We certainly want to clear up all the confusion and have a working phone in your hands, srodezno. Let's take this one issue at a time:
1. How long ago did this trouble with WiFi start? Are you able to connect to any alternate WiFi signals other than the one at home?
2. Do you get that notification when you access anything in particular? Did it begin when you updated or installed any application?
3. Are you still able to access other data services (web, apps, Play Store, etc) while the WiFi is off/not working? Are you able to send the MMS messages?

Subscribing to podcast in iWeb does not work???

I created and exported to iWeb a music podcast using Garage Band. The podcast correctly imported to my iWeb website, so you can visit the site and play the podcast their. This process also creates a "subscribe to podcast" button on the iWeb website, which is supposed to allow visitors to click it and the podcast will automatically be added to their iTunes podcasts library. Well, this partially works, that is, an entry IS made in the iTunes podcasts library, but the entry does not work. It appears to reference the full text page of the podcasts webpage instead of the actual music podcast, so when you try to play the podcast within iTunes you get an error message.
Any ideas? There does not appear to be a way to correctly point the iTunes podcast entry to the actual music podcast on the website instea of the text main page.

In case you're not familiar with the how the process is SUPPOSED to work between Garage Band, iWeb and iTunes, it should be a simple, 3-step AUTOMATED process:
1. in Garage Band, you choose "send podcast to iWeb". This exports the current project to an iWeb page as a podcast. (This works)
2. in iWeb, you publish the newly created page containing the podcast. I use .Mac, so my pages are automatically published to my .Mac account. (This also works)
3. On the webpage at the website containing the podcast, there is a button to "subscribe" to the podcast. When you click this, it is supposed to create a podcast entry in your iTunes library, under My Podcasts. (This is where the process stops working: the entry is created in iTunes, but it does not work - i.e., it does not appear to point correctly to the podcast itself, but instead to the webpage in general that contains the podcast, and iTunes can not identify the podcast from this.)
Hopefully, that helps. Sorry if you were already familiar with the process.

Unplayed episodes oldest first not working?

With 2.0, I seem to have lost the ability to listen to podcasts in My Stations from oldest to newest; I can't even list them oldest first, they all show up newest on top and are played from newest to oldest, which is not what I want.
Any idea how I can listen to all unplayed episodes from oldest to newest (grouped by podcast)?

That's not exactly what we're looking for. We want the playlist (or station) to be in the "My Podcasts" order (sets the order that the podcasts play in), but play each podcast's episodes oldest to newest order.
For example you have 3 podcasts: 2 daily news podcasts and 1 weekly podcast that you don't always get around to every week, but want to listen to all of the episodes eventually. Let's also say that you weren't able to listen to yesterday's news, but want to catch up today.
Each morning, you want to listen to your podcasts in the following order:
First you want to listen to the daily news podcasts oldest to newest to catch up on the news. You want to listen to the news first, even if there are older episodes of the weekly podcast that you haven't gotten to yet.This is why the playlist (or station) needs to be in the same order as "My Podcasts"
Then, once you've listened to all of the more time-sensitive news podcasts for the day, you want to catch up on the weekly podcast, but again want to listen to it starting with the oldest episodes first to catch up.
Hopefully this helps and someone at Apple will see it.

Veromix plasmoid keeps not working

The last time I have tried veromix I had a problem that sometimes it would somehow "lose" the connection to pulseaudio and just don't update the outputstreams any more or just flatout not displaying anything anymore. Usually killing plasma and restarting it "solved" it but that was still a huge inconvenience for an audio mixer. So I stopped using it. Then I tried it again and sip was broken.
Now python[2]-sip, sip etc have been updated and veromix has successfully worked for me for a whole day! But today it does not work anymore. It shows the default oxygen volume icon instead of the completely white one (don't know where it is from) and it shows no sound cards.
With plasmate's plasmoidviewer veromix-plasmoid -f horizontal this is all I keep seeing:

Now veromix-gtk-git works just fine. But kdeplasma-applets-veromix or kdeplasma-applets-veromix-git don't and I have absolutely no idea why they don't because yesterday they both worked. There's no error message or something like that and a short google search has shown nothing on how to debug plasmoids.
I just discovered thatn when I open veromix from veromix-gtk-git, the (already "running") plasmoid changes its icon to the correct one and displays the output devices and streams correctly. But when trying to change volumes I get

I checked The file is only 17K. I don't worry too much about the width and height. It is about storage and bandwidth.

Podcast Subscribe Button Still not working...

When Publishing to folder in the URL box I need to enter the URL for the Podcast in here ? Correct ?...
So please can someone tell me where I get the CORRECT URL from ? I have tried a couple of options and none seem to work ! And now I'm beginning to wish I'd never put the podcast on the website in the first place !

which is obviously incorrect. It looks like you tried to show iWeb exactly where your rss.xml file was. All iWeb needs to know is your domain.
Try just typing in http://www.blacklightaudio.com into the URL box when you publish to folder. iWeb should then generate the URL...

which actually is the correct URL. Remember that the URL you enter in that box does NOT determine where iWeb puts the feed. It simply is needed so that iWeb knows what domain to base the feed URL on.

Bought iphone 5C on December. No additional warranty purchased. The phone keeps not working and the top and bottom right corners look melted. Can I send it in amd get a new one on manufacturer warranty? Or what are my options? Thanks

I Purchased iphone 5C on December 2014. However now it's very difficult to have it working. The screen is constantly not working and the right side bottom&top does looks like its melted? the cover I mean , which maked the phone slide out of its cover. I did not purchase anny additional warranty or insurance so I don't know what to do with it? Can i send it in and they can send me a new one under the manufacturer warranty or what do i do with it?

Each iPhone comes with a one-year warranty. You said it looks melted? That's going to be difficult to prove that you did not damage it, and it happened on its own. That is the only way it would be covered.

Video podcasts on Apple TV not working

Hi since the most recent podcast update barely any off the video casts seem to work,I keep getting "error try again" yet everything else works fine,is anyone else having issues? Ps my router stats are flawless and 68 Mbps connection

I think I may have an answer to this. The problem seems to happen when I start iTunes and dock the iPod. I think it may be a timing issue, where it is trying to sync a file whilst it is still downloading.
I will investigate further and reraise this question if it does not prove fruitful.

Apple TV Bug: selecting Podcasts to sync does not work: syncs everything

I have even tried to restore to factory settings, then downloading latest software, deselecting everything but one podcast (video) and look, indeed, no movies, no music but then all podcasts from my entire library are synched to the ATV despite only selecting one... Apple, please can you fix this.
I also have the problems others are reporting on the movie and TV show synching and disappearing but think that has enough attention right now..

It seems that the Apple TV is really designed to stream and connect with media that is on an Apple desktop that is always available to update and sync data.
Synced content plays independent from any computer, streaming is only possible with a computer running iTunes. You have to judge for yourself whether the 40 GB drive holds enough content for the time when your computer is not available.
I only have my laptop available in my apartment for perhaps three hours at the most. During that time I am probably working on it, so it is not just idle to do syncing.
Syncing runs fine in the background. The network bandwidth is the limitation, not your computer power.
Also I was wondering if people could give me advice on the specs required of a Mac mini to run video playback.
The mini should have no problems playing back the video (and recording it). Other people in this forum who have used their mini as a dedicated video server might jump in.

HT5295 podcasts downloaded to pc not working in podcast app on ipad after sync

Hi,
We have multiple apple devices so I download all my apps,movies,music,podcasts etc to my pc then sync to each device. I have found that even though I have downloaded episodes of podcasts to my pc and these are checked in the podcast section in iTunes they are not available in the podcast app to listen to on my ipad, the podcasts just have the download icon next to them. I don't want to download the same podcast multiple times across each device. What am I doing wrong?
