Podcasts, iTs, and Insanity

Question

I've written before, but I'm still getting inconsistent results on my podcast downloads, and this happens ONLY on iTunes. Here are the particulars:

My podcast (STFU Show) has been running for 6 months on iTunes, without a problem. Within the last week, I'm getting hundreds of emails/tweets/comments from listeners, that they can't get the last 3 or 4 shows, even though they show up in the subscriber menu.
I've tried numerous fixes. I've validated my feed, pinged the feed, checked with other sites to make sure they're still getting the feed, and been all over the iTs forums. I've deleted older shows, and nothing works. Once in a while, I ping, validate, and then open iTs, and maybe a show or two will download. Otherwise, I get an 8006 error (bad URL...etc.)
Today, I was able to find our site through the Apple store link. If I clicked "play", the episode played. If I clicked "Listen in iTunes", iTs opens, and allows me to download. BUT, if I close iTs and re-open, I get the 8006 error. I've sent a half dozen "concerns" to iTs, but nothing has been fixed. As iTunes offers no support whatsoever (excepting the forums of course), I don't see any other option but to delete the podcast, and re-submit. And this, seemingly, is only a temporary fix, as it could well happen again, with no idea of why it's happening or how to fix.
On a lesser note, my jpg logo appears in the description, but when I subscribe, the image doesn't appear in iTunes, whereas all the other podcasts I subscribe to have the images. It's all very frustrating, not only for me, but for our many listeners. If anyone has an answer, it's appreciated.

None of your episodes can be subscribed to, they all bring up an error message. The link to your latest episode is
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/STFUShow/~5/l2hWY65ZVqM/STFU_Show_079.mp3
which redirects to
http://stfushow.com/wp-content/uploads/STFU_Show_079.mp3
which is the actual URL of the file. If I paste the feedproxy URL into a browser I see network activity but it never starts playing. If I paste the actual file URL into a browser it plays OK.
Therefore there is something in the interaction between feedproxy and your server which is causing problems: since feedproxy works for most people this does rather suggest that your server is in some way reacting badly to the redirects, though this doesn't make a lot of sense and I can't advise on how to troubleshoot that - my advice would be to forget about feedproxy and use the actual URL in the feed, which should work OK.
As to the image: the image which appears on the Store page is referenced in the feed; but that which appears for subscribers is not referenced in the feed but has to be actually embedded in the media file: full details on this page -
