PoE Powered WiFi as WAN device?

I have a Cisco MBR that I use for a mobile requirement. My setup is small (fits in a small backpack) and I get about 4 hours of use on battery with one PoE device connected. I currently use a CradlePoint product that is PoE powered and lets me plug a USB cellular modem in, providing WAN connectivity to establish my VPN on the MBR.
I need to find a device to replace the CradlePoint. Ideally it would be small in size and must have WiFi as WAN / Wireless Ethernet Bridge capability. It should also be capable of receiving power from the Cisco MBR PoE.
My requirement is to get a Wifi signal converted and used for the WAN port of my router. As my setup is battery powered, I need all devices to sustain power from PoE.
Does Cisco have any devices that would meet my needs or does anyone know of any other devices that fit this description? Price tag is of no concern.

I am referring to 802.11. Not sure of the model, would have to check when i get back to work. I know that we are getting some new systems in and they come with the 5915 ESR.
I don't have an option to switch to another device.
Perhaps to simplify what I am trying to do, I want to be able to pull my phone out of my pocket, turn the hotspot on and get that hotspot wifi connection to the WAN port on my router. What ever device I use to do this would need to receive power from PoE.
There probably is not much of a market need for what I am trying to do as I am sure there is more practical ways to do business. However, with my unique situation, I find myself needing this.

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF

I can able to play youtube videos in safari browser in iphone on 3G data connection but can not play the same video on WiFi. I am facing the same issue in the youtube iOS application also. Is it possible to play youtube video on WiFi in iOS devices ? Please help me to fix this issue.

My understanding is that you should definitely be able to play youtube videos using a Wi-Fi network. To me, it sounds as though the issue may be more network related as the videos will work over cellular data. I have a couple questions I believe could help narrow down the exact issue:
• Is the device able to browse to other websites while connected to Wi-Fi, or will no sites work?
• Are there other devices (iPads, iPhones, computers, etc) that work on the same Wi-Fi network?

For me, a time capsule is even safe when you have whatter damage op fire in your house. Am I wrong or is it just an additional HD like there are so maney with the only advantage that it goes automatically via your wifi for apple devices?

As I have posted before, You, and others having issues with Verizon would be much better off if you complained to the FCC and FTC as well as your Senators and Congressmen. We, as individuals, have such small voices - use them where they might do the most good.
Also, don't assume that Verizon doesn't monitor these postings, they actively do & sometimes contact those that post complaints.

Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet. It's not designed to. if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2. Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

TS1398 imac connects to internet for a few mins then stops and cannot find any wifi network-other devices are connecting without problems

My imac has suddenly stopped connecting to the internet through my wifi network if I restart the machine it finds the network for a minute or 2 and then stops working and cant find any wifi networks, other devices are connecting with no problems. Any suggestions please

WAN devices and Lion

I recently upgraded to Lion, and my Alltel Huawei EC228 modem card is no longer recognized my my Mac Mini. It worked two days ago before the update and today...nothing.
Ironically, it still works with my Macbook, which I upgraded to Lion the day before.
Are WAN devices no longer supported? Both of my computers are configued the same in the Network Preferences, so I'm puzzled as to why this modem would connect to my laptop but not the mini.

For the issue, it seems one of services related to device stopped.
I suggest you check the services to see if they start.

How to globally set WiFi to use device management identity certificate for all users?

I'm using Apple's Profile Management service in Mountain Lion, and discovered through serendipity that an enrolled device can authenticate on EAP-TLS to our WPA2-Enterprise Wifi using the Device Managment Identity Certificate instead of an individually-generated-for-user x509 cert. This is extremely convenient, because then we can effectively revoke a device's cert by unenrolling the device.
However, I haven't been able to figure out how to make WiFi always designate EAP-TLS and select the Device Management Identity Certificate globally (whether through /usr/bin/networksetup or through the Profile Manager).
Does anybody have any pointers on how to do this? My goal is to have an OS X >= 10.7 machine at a network login prompt capable of logging into the machine, authenticated against the Open Directory server the machine is already bound to. At present a wireless user cannot do this, as the machine's Wifi preferences haven't yet been set to use the aforementioned device management cert.

Sounces like the network is overloaded, or there's interference.

Wifi Sync, Ejected device not showing up anymore

Wifi syncing is not working anymore after i accidently pressed the ejected button. I have tried all the suggested steps to make it work again, everytime i unplug the usb the device now dissapears from the device list in itunes. Any ideas?

My AIR app need work on both Android and iOS.
ServerSocket and DatagramSocket are neither supported on mobile device. So how can I get the IP of other hosts in my wifi?
I tried to get the ip range and use socket to connect them one by one to check if they are available. But it's too slow. Is there another quick way?

Thank you Saumitra Bhave. I download some samples and read some articles for how to use native functions.
But many things are sitll not clear to me, so I failed. Let me describe my flow:
1. compile all Java code to a .jar file, and put it into Android-ARM folder in my project.
2. create some functions to call the .jar with flash.external.ExtensionContext.
3. create a extension.xml to describe the path.
4. use command to compile .jar and AS functions into .ane with ADT.
then I can use this .ane file in any my AS project, right?
BTW, I'm using Flash Profassional, no Flash Builder 4.6.

Un-link list of preferred WiFi networks between devices

I have one wifi network for internet access, and another one for TimeCapsule. TimeCapsule is for my MacBook. But I DON'T WANT MY iPad TO JOIN THE TimeCapsule network. The issue is: when I tell my iPad to "Forget this network", it also dissappears from my MacBook! Can anyone advice me how I can un-link the lists of preferred WiFi networks between different devices?

One network is simply hosted by TC, which provides a (hidden) wifi network for my MBP.
Independent of that, there's a public wifi network in the room. My iPad should simply ignore the TC network, and connect to the public wifi. I never entered the TC network details on my iPad, but (I'm assuming) because of iCloud keychain sharing, it automatically picks up the TC network, and because this signal is stronger, connnects to it. when I tell the iPad to "forget this network", my MBP also fogets it, and if I set it back up on the MBP, ...
I could just disable iCloud on my iPad, but that's annoying for other reasons.
I'd be very grateful if you hab any suggestions!

Macbook loses wifi, prevents other devices from connecting too.

I have a strange problem whereby my macbook seems to lose its wifi connection, and prevent all other devices from connecting to wi fi either.
its very odd as the router still shows up in available networks with full signal, but I cannot connect to it and neither any other device, including ipads, mobile phones and various other windows laptops.
This can only be fixed by restarting the router, which is a pain as its tucked away upstairs!
I know its my macbook casuing the problem and not the router as the problem didn't exist until I came home from uni, and it hasn't happened at all over the last two weeks while my laptop was away getting a new battery. Today I got the macbook back and the problem has returned! More than a coincidence me thinks!
This can happen three or four times an evening and is very frustrating, especially for the rest of my family!
Once I have restarted the router the connection normally comes back, however sometimes I get an exclamation over the wifi logo in the menu bar, saying no internet connection.
My macbook is a aluminium 2ghz core 2 duo running OSX Lion with all the most recent updates, and the router is a BT homehub 2.0.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I have had this problem after my (work provided) 2008 macbook was updated to mountain lion. I have tried all the suggested fixes with some success, resetting PRAM has occasionally sorted this out, deleting the wifi and then re-starting and restoring works, but is very tedious to do every time you need a connection!!
A further wifi problem caused by the update was the loss of access to passwords in keychain- checking the 'access by all applications' box in keychain preferences helped reconnection too.
The tip I wanted to pass on is this-
If you are having these problems, and resetting the wifi has sorted it out, turn off the wifi Every Time before you shut down the machine. This simple action seems to allow the mac to keep it's settings intact, and it can be turned on again without any problems the next time you boot the macine up.
The connection problems can't be hardware- this machine is as fast and stable as the new retina mackbookPro it sits beside- when it can see the signal......
