Hello @wpshooter ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your pointer disappears on the top and right edges of your display.
You've already answered your own question regarding the compatibility with the wireless mouse by stating the issue persists with the touchpad and wired mouse.
It sounds like a display resolution issue. If you're using an Intel HD GPU you should be able to right click the Intel HD icon in the task bar and select Graphics Preferences.  Select Graphics Properties > Basic Mode > Display > Multiple Displays > Operating Mode > Single Display.
This should fix it in Windows but I can offer you no assistance for Linux.
Let me know if this works.
Please click the "Kudos, Thumbs Up" at the bottom of this post if you want to say "Thanks" for helping!
Please click "Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

  • What are the points which the migration program does not support?

    Hi,
I have a question about migration program 'RSEC_MIGRATION'.
As described in 'Running the Enterprise Data Warehouse',
in 'Frequently Asked Questions - Business Intelligence in SAP NetWeaver 2004s',
this program supports about 80% automatic migration
    according to some documents.
    What is the rest 20%?
    What doesn't this program support?
Though it may be difficult to make a list for that
because settings of authorization objects are various,
I think SAP should list up as many important points
which this program does not support as possible
    by using some examples.
If SAP thinks of delivering such a list,
    when will it be delivered?
    Best regards,
    Kaito Hosoyamada

    Hi Kaito,
this statement relflects the fact that a program will never be able to handle all potential complex scenarios that customers might have.
The facts that are not completely covered by the migration assistant are:
1.) The more complex the existing authorization concept, the more manual migration work might be necessary
2.) Customer-exit variables for 0TCTAUTHH cannot be migrated; the respective hierarchy nodes must be assigned manually
3.) Intensive tests are highly recommended
      Cheers

Good afternoon! I addressed in the AT&T company with a question about untying of a sim card of AT&T from my iPhone, all of them made Iphone now is unlocked, I executed all points which were written:
    To complete the unlock, simply
1 . Open iTunes on your Mac or PC and verify that you have Internet connectivity.
2 . Ensure a SIM card is inserted into your iPhone.
3 . Connect your iPhone using the dock connector to USB cable that came with your iPhone.
4 . Backup and restore your iPhone using iTunes. For information on backup and restore, please visit http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.
5 . After restoring, your iPhone will be unlocked.
Additional information on unlocking can be found at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3198
I made everything as well as was written, but on completion of the ios 6.1.3 installation the iPhone asks to be activated through wifi or through a wire to the computer.
I connected Iphone to the computer and the text takes off: (Were sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time. Please TR again later, or contact customer care! )
how to me to activate my iPhone?
    I hope for your help....

    Hey APPLELovestory,
We have an article that goes over troubleshooting iPhone activation issues here:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting activation issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3424
    Perform the following steps:
    Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to Wi-Fi if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
    Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.
    Hope that helps,
    David

  • Starting job from the point which it Canceled .

    Hi ,
I have a program which updated/insert records to a massive tables.
The program is running with fetch on 10K on each round.
Is there any way to start the job/program on the same point which it been canceld/stop?
so the program will not have to run the records that already been updated again.
    10x,
    gil.

Other way is to check if i already updated the field.
Then it will start with 10*.
the select will look like this -
    select * from tabname  where
    field <> '10%'.
The problem is that this field is not always a key filed and it will cause a long response times.
What do you think about it ?
    Thanks.

Can anyone tell me what to do my ipad 2 is frozen reset but will not come on seem the apple logo which disappeared and now is frozen

I really can't tell from your post but did you try rebooting the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    Hi cybertoof,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're seeing a startup issue with your Mac, it's booting to a gray screen with an Apple logo. Try the suggestions in the article linked below, they will resolve most issues related to starting up your Mac.

  • Fireworks CS5 unusable - mouse pointer keeps disappearing

    Hi There,
I'm having an extremely frustrating time trying to use Fireworks CS5 as the mouse pointer keeps disappearing at random. Switching to another app and back to Fireworks doesn't fix things - restarting Fireworks or force quitting every 5 - 10 mins seems to be the only way to fix it.
Is anyone else experiencing this - or does anyone know how to fix it?
    - MAC OS 10.5.8
    - Fireworks CS5 11.0.0.484 (fresh Install this morning)
    - Macbook Pro 17"
    - 8GB Ram
Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
    Cheers
    Ben

Thanks Linda but I'm not using a wireless mouse - or a USB hub. The issue occurs if the mouse is plugged into the apple keyboard or directly into the Macbook Pro.
BTW, if I switch to other open apps or to the Finder the mouse appears - but disappears when switching back to Fireworks.
This is a really frustrating issue as I can't use CS5 - any other ideas?
    Cheers

  • How do I get back my bookmarks and history which disappeared after downloading critical Windows Updates?

On 10/16/14 I downloaded 11 critical Windows Updates (I have the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Pro).
All updates ran successfully, but after the updates, Firefox would not run. Instead I got the error “Couldn’t Load XPCOM”. Internet Explorer was working. I reinstalled Firefox . I did not delete it and then reinstall it, I just downloaded Firefox.
That worked and I can now use Firefox, but I have several other problems:
    • I lost all my Bookmarks
    • I lost some of my History. I can only view history for “Today” and “Yesterday” in the Library. I am missing “Last 7 days” (except for 10/16 and later) and “This Month” history view.
I have been trying to research how to fix this on my own for the past several days, even though I am very non-tech savy.
I tried the following, but none of these things has corrected the bookmarks or history problem:
    • I did a System Restore to 10/13/14
    • I tried to do a System Restore to 10/12/14. I got the error “Did not complete successfully. Unspecified error 0x8000ffff”.
    • I reset Firefox to its default state.
    • I tried to change the Privacy setting for Firefox history from “Remember History” to “Use custom setting for history” followed by checking “Remember my browsing and download history”, “Remember search and form history”, and “Accept cookies from site”. I am unable to change this. It always reverts back to “Remember History”.
I located only one Profile Manager, which I found by going through the Windows start menu with "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" –p.
I found "bookmarkbackups" under my Profile Folder. The oldest bookmark folder listed is from 10/16/2014.
Could someone please help me get all my Bookmarks and History back from before the 10/16/2014 updates? Thank you.

Hi askmozilla, yes, the Previous Versions tab in the Properties dialog for the places.sqlite files in the oldest of those folders.
I'm not sure whether Windows can match that file up with earlier restore points once the folder is moved from its original location to the desktop.
I wonder whether there is any way to access the restore point created on 10/16 just before Windows installed the updates. That really would be the best place to look if possible.

  • How do I retrieve lost Bookmark icons most of which disappeared when I updated to Firefox 8?

After I updated to Firefox 8 I noticed that more than half of the itemsin my bookmarks list had lost their icons which were replaced by a dotted line in the shape of a square. I tried to go back to using Firefox 7 using System Restore. The restore was successful except that Firefox could not be opened. So I undid the restore and this allows Firefox to open and all seems ok apart from the fact that the majority of the items in my Bookmark list have disappeared and have been replaced as described. Can anybody help?

Hi everyone. At issue is that FF8, obviously due to a coding bug, no longer is retrieving the favicon from the root of a website's www directory website in some situations. I tried starting FF8 with all add-ons disabled, just to verify that an add-on wasn't causing the issue. The add-on Check Places will restore the missing favicons, but the favicon will disappear as soon as you visit the bookmarked URL if the favicon was missing after you upgraded to FF8.
Hehe. I am not too thrilled with Mozilla's new rapid development cycle. FF8 is simply a tweaked version of FF7 and as such it should have been a 7X upgrade. But I guess Mozilla wants Firefox to get up to version 10000 before Chrome does. Silly.

  • Nokia Email Access Point Configuration Disappeared

I`ve just upgraded to the new Nokia Email client on my N95-1 (model RM-159). It says it's version 9.04 (21).
Since upgrading, I haven't been able to configure the Access Point to be used by the email app, which used to be under General|Service Info. This is quite important to me, since I only want to let the app work when using WiFi.
Does anyone know what happened, or how can I fix it ?

This works for the E71: for the time being a workaround for the access point problem:
I set my SmartConnect connection (you can only download this from the Download icon on your phone) group as the default APN, I have the client using Wifi if available and the cellular network if not. This MUST be configured at initial setup, ie when you install Nokia Messaging, change it from "default" to the SmartConnect access point group.

  • Wireless mouse pointer which does not move after boot *sometimes*

    Hi,
I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech (MK700 keyboard and MX705 mouse), which uses a USB receiver.
After booting, the mouse pointer sometimes is completely blocked, and I have to reboot to make it work. Sometimes I need to do this twice. I cannot reproduce it and this is not linked to the fact the mouse is active or on sleep mode. This seems to be a race condition, considering it is difficult to reproduce. Once the mouse pointer is working, there is no issue anymore during desktop use.
I compared lsmod when mouse pointer is working or not, and did not see any difference in the loaded modules.
This started to happen maybe 3 months ago. I have had this hardware for two years with no problem in the past. It is not a battery problem either.
    Has anyone an idea?

I Have this scenario where i have to get the data from R/3 to BW Perform some analysis(lot of calculations involving multiple infoobjects and fields(ztable)and then write the data back to r/3 via a flatfile and then run a report on the new transformed data....i'd really like to know where i should code this abap routine which effects around 5 infobjects..a start up point..program..
update routine/start routines only effect the individual infoobject so it dosent help.

    au_n97,
U are right. Many people complain in this forum about this missing, that missing (me too on VOIP), this not working and that not working, Ram too small. ....etc.
i have my complains too, but reading through the forum, actually show a lot of solutions (NOT ALL).
I guess this happens when there is a new learning curve for every New product.
Why is this not availabe, when my old one have it?
Why is this not done this way?
Where is this? Where is that?
People (like me included) when faced with problems, tends to complain first, shout first, then after cool down, look for solutions.

  • I had two iPhoto libraries. I erased one of them (which disappeared in the paperbasket - as planned. The otherone, however has now lost all its Keywords... Is there anything what I can do to get my keywords back????

I had two iPhoto Libraries with different content (on an external drive). I had to erase one of the libraries, and it disappeared - as planned - in the paperbasket.
The other (untouched) library, however has now lost all Keywords, and it needs quite awhile (the ball is spinning "for hours") to build up all events (order still like before the keyword desaster.
What can I do to get the keywords back?
    Börries

To be more clear: All fotos had been "imported to their foto libraries" by just standard means - no shifting no erasion etc. etc. just regular Upload in one of the two iPhoto libraries by "import".
"Or load your backup from before this happened"
This answer seems to be pretty close to a solution - but, I need help in a step-by-step-way:
My library is located on an external LaCie hard drive - which is to the best of my knowledge not covered by Time Machine. With other words: Time Maschine is not useful here. Is there another backup procedure (possibly from within iPhoto) which I could use to rebuild the keywords from an earlier backup. That would solve 99% of my problems and is fine.
Sorry for being so helpless, but it seems to me as if you had come quite close to a solution....
    Best,
    Börries
