Pointing deployed BPEL process to call different version of another BPEL

Hi All,
I have deployed BPEL x calls BPEL y( version 1.0)
Now I wanted to point BPEL x to BPEL y (version 2.0) and this should happen with out redeploying BPEL x
I am okay to bounce server .
Is there any solution ?
Thansk,
Praveen

Guys why are you not understanding his question. I think he wrote quite clearly.
He has 3 BPEL process deployed in version 1.0
and
have 2/3 BPEL deployed in version 2.0
now what he wants is BEPL process with version 10.0 should always call 1.0 and the one with 2.0 always call 2.0. IS that too difficult to understand???
Praven what i suggest as alternate for time till you get actual solution being is
1. In version 2.0 before you deploy hard code partner links with version 2.0
2. Deploy bpel with version 2.0
3. Go and set version 1.0 of all bpel as default
now since 1.0 are all default 1.0 will call 1.0
in 2.0 since you hardcoded partnerlinks it will call 2.0
in future don't mess thnsg up :)) and use dynamic binding.

  • Problem calling different versions of BPEL process from an ESB

We are currenlty having a problem calling a BPEL process from an ESB service.
We initially developed the solution and the two communicated correctly, however it was necessary to make some changes to the BPEL process and we subsequently redeployed the BPEL process incrementing the version number.
However the ESB service when initiated was still calling the initial version of the ESB service.
Is there any way of making the ESB call the default BPEL process version as configured from the BPEL console.

You can accomplish this task by invoking SOAP Service in ESB that points to current WSDL of BPEL process, for example:
    http://localhost:8888/orabpel/default/SOAOrderBooking/SOAOrderBooking?wsdl
    instead of
    http://localhost:8888/orabpel/default/SOAOrderBooking/1.0/SOAOrderBooking?wsdl

  • Process flow fails to complete when another in the same package is deployed - OWB 11.2.0.2

    Hi,
I have  problem with OWB Process Flows whereby whenever I deploy a process flow within an existing package, another Process Flow becomes (unknown to me) invalid and will not complete execution.
When deploying the first process flow, I am synchronising all mappings within it, saving, validating and saving again before deploying it. This process flow then functions ok but then a random process flow within the same package malfunctions. By this I mean the process flow does not complete, as if it has lost some connectors. Has anybody else had this problem?

    HI Richard,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I agree with your answer but sadly this does not seem to be the cause of the problem in my case as I always stop any running processes and double check with the list_requests.sql as provided and where necessary execute the deactivate_execution.sql and/or abort_exec_request.sql only if absolutely required. Finally I check again with list_requests.sql and if necessary run in the OWF_MGR schema: WF_PURGE.TOTAL and/or the following sql (again only if required) :
    BEGIN
    FOR cur_rec in (SELECT ITEM_TYPE,ITEM_KEY FROM OWF_MGR.WF_ITEM_ACTIVITY_STATUSES
      WHERE ACTIVITY_STATUS = 'ACTIVE')
    LOOP
    OWF_MGR.WF_PURGE.MOVE_TO_HISTORY(cur_rec.ITEM_TYPE,cur_rec.ITEM_KEY);
    COMMIT;
    END LOOP;
    END;
So I am sure that no processes are running before I begin deployment. Thanks again for your reply.

task or type of type: deployProcess.
Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
This is common and has a number of causes; the usual
solutions are to read the manual pages then download and
install needed JAR files, or fix the build file:
    - You have misspelt 'deployProcess'.
    Fix: check your spelling.
    - The task needs an external JAR file to execute
and this is not found at the right place in the classpath.
Fix: check the documentation for dependencies.
    Fix: declare the task.
    - The task is an Ant optional task and the JAR file and/or libraries
implementing the functionality were not found at the time you
yourself built your installation of Ant from the Ant sources.
Fix: Look in the ANT_HOME/lib for the 'ant-' JAR corresponding to the
task and make sure it contains more than merely a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF.
If all it contains is the manifest, then rebuild Ant with the needed
libraries present in ${ant.home}/lib/optional/ , or alternatively,
    download a pre-built release version from apache.org
    - The build file was written for a later version of Ant
Fix: upgrade to at least the latest release version of Ant
    - The task is not an Ant core or optional task
and needs to be declared using <taskdef>.
    - You are attempting to use a task defined using
<presetdef> or <macrodef> but have spelt wrong or not
defined it at the point of use
Remember that for JAR files to be visible to Ant tasks implemented
in ANT_HOME/lib, the files must be in the same directory or on the
    classpath
Please neither file bug reports on this problem, nor email the
Ant mailing lists, until all of these causes have been explored,
as this is not an Ant bug.

  • Cannot deploy BPEL Process from Jdeveloper

    Hello,
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 on my laptop.
I have Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3 deployed and running on my laptop as well (port 8888) (running MS Vista).
    Some background:
I can access my app server at http://127.0.0.1:8888, http://localhost:8888, http://toral-pc:8888 using browser with no problems at all.
However, when I try to deploy a business process (using ant on build.xml) from JDeveloper I get the following error:
    BUILD FAILED
C:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\SalesforceIntegration\LoginToSalesforce\build.xml:79: A problem occurred while establishing a connection to the BPEL Server.
Please make sure the server is running on host "127.0.0.1", port "8888".
I have turned off any firewalls and also my hosts file includes a line for 127.0.0.1 localhost.
I am at a loss as to why JDeveloper thinks the BPEL server is not running on 127.0.0.1:8888 when I know it is and I can using the BPEL Server GUI to deploy the Business Process jar just fine.
    Please Help.

  • Unable to deploy BPEL Process --  Says If you have installed a patch to the

I have a simple BPEL process that calles an ESB flow deployed in the same server.
I am facing the following issue when trying to deploy the BPEL process.

I assume you checked the reasons that are suggested in the message:
"This is typically the result of an invalid deployer URI format being supplied, the target server not being in a started state or incorrect authentication details"
    It looks like a typo...

  • How to Deploy BPEL Processes

How can we deploy pre-built BPEL processes/solutions across different machines. For e.g., I have received a pre-built BPEL process/solution from one of my colleagues. What are the steps I need to take to deploy it to my local machine. I tried using the BPEL Console (Clicking on Deploy New Process) and proving the "bpel_*.jar" from the output folder of the prebuilt solution but I get errors since the code was compiled and deployed on a different machine. I can fix the bpel.xml and the directory structure and deploy successfully. However, this would be a limitation since I'll have to perform the fix every time I need to deploy the code across environments. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!

What error do you see if you simply copy the jar file in the deploy directory of your server? [My guess is that the error are due to links to other WSDL and schema files or locations that might be hard coded in the BPEL.XML in which case you want to either try to make as many links as possible relative or have a shared tomcat server where you host WSDLs and XSDs shared between multiple environment (a mini repository)]
Note: the deploy function in the BPEL console simply copies the jar that is uploaded in the deploy directory. . -Edwin

  • Any java API to get the metadata for a deployed bpel process in soa/bpm11g?

    Hi,
Just wonder if this is possible, that there is some existing java api to retrieve the metadata (containing activities, isSynchrous, version information etc) for a deployed bpel process? If not, is there any other way to achieve this goal ( or example query database table directly)?
I can only find this link for soa11g java api. I am able to invoke the bpel process using this API(direct binding) from java client.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e10659/index.html?overview-tree.html
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Bin

    What I find so far:
    1. can get some process property values from ComponentInstance class, see its api.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e10659/oracle/soa/management/facade/ComponentInstance.html
Please refer http://blogs.oracle.com/soabpm/2009/07/soa_suite_11g_api_tricks_part.html of how to get the component instance (contain the bpel process) from a composite object
    2. in dev_soainfra database schema, the CUBE_INSTANCE table contains most of soa bpel components information. The BPM_CUBE_PROCESS table seems to contain only the process defined in a bpm application. This sounds a little confused, if we want to develop a bpel application, should it be put in soa or bpm application and what is the difference?
Please feel free to correct any mistakes here.

  • Deploying BPEL process in differnet boxes

    Hi,
we deployed one process in development box.we want to export to that bpel process into different testing box. how can we do this and is there any way that we can change config files or something ..?
    Thanks,
    Bharath

    Hi,
what about deploying the jar-file to the bpel process manager (choosing make in jdeveloper and not deploy to).
Then you can deploy the identical jar-file with the web console again to another box....

  • How can I handle deploying multiple test systems on the same PC that have been developed using different versions of LabVIEW, TestStand, and/or Switch Executive?

The major issue here is that the test systems must be documented and validated before being released to the production floor. Given this if a test station has multiple test systems deployed on it that have been developed on various versions of LV, TS, and Switch exec how can I force the test system selected to use the correct versions of TS, LV, and Switch exec.? I understand that the solution would be to recomplie everything and bring them up to the latest version but that would then require re-validation according to the QA department. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It would be nice if theTS deployment was more like an LV executable... meaning when a LV executable is launched it always knows what LV runtime engine to use when there are multiple engines installed on a PC.

    Hi,
Multiply versions of teststand can reside on the same system, but only one version can run at a time. They is a utility that has to be run to set the active version.
The SequenceFiles have a version number, and you will find an error will be generate if you try to Load the sequencefile in the wrong version of TestStand.
The labview VIs will only work providing the correct version of the RTE is also installed on your system, even a labview executabe requires the correct RTE to be installed, either as part of the executable installation or as a seperate installation, before the labview exe will work correctly.
I'm not fimilar with the Switch exec but I would expect that it will also require the correct lower level device drivers to be available for the version you are using.
Therefore, as you are indicating that some of your system are at  a older version, its difficult to image how you could achive this, considering if you say you have different versions of the software(s). For a start, you may have the problem that newer code/ sequencefiles using additional functionatily not available in the older versions.
I would think your only solution would  be to have different deployments covering the different versions you have, or at least bring all your test systems up to the same version of teststand.

    Hi ,
I am new to BPEL and learning it using dev guide. i am using JDev 10.1.2.0.0 with OAS.
i build a simple BPEL process which uses a DB adapter for interaction with DB.
