I want to know about these points you get by answering questions. Can these certain points be used for something?

That's all there is.
However, and I can only speak for myself, I get a great deal of satisfaction - and fun - out of helping others and I have learned so much myself by participating on these forums. It feels good to to know that you can help someone else with a problem and some of the most satisfying discussions that I have been involved in, resulted in no points at all being awarded.
I actually enjoy participating here and I'd venture a guess and say that everyone else that responded in this discussion probably feels pretty much the same way as I do.

Dynamic Header for a website. DOUBLE POINTS FOR ANSWER!!

I don't even know where to start with this one, let me try explain this:
I am looking for ideas on how to create some sort of dynamic header for an affiliate website, we have launched a new affiliate program for http://www.africancures.com/ the affiliate program is done through 1shoppingcart.com and each affiliate is given an ID like:
http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=812264
Once the affiliate signs up they choose their own website URL like: mikeshealth.com, then we point the affiliate URL mikeshealth.com to http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=812264 which in turn comes to our main website: http://www.africancures.com/ now here is where the problem comes in, how do I make the website display Mikes Health instead of African Cures .
I hope I was able to explain this well enough as it seems to be a bit confusing to me when I write it down. I really hope there is someone out there who has worked on something like this before or if there is someone who thinks they know how to do this.

So here is something else I was thinking of, but I am not much of a programmer anymore:
Have a list of all the affiliate ids and their corresponding website names, eg:
Affiliate ID=812264 Website name= Mikes Health, then when someone comes to the site the jave works out which affiliate id sent them to the site, eg
Get(AffiliateID)from Refering.URL then Display.Header(AffiliateID) on main page, do you think you could help me now Sabre150?

I'm still trying to see what this has to do with Java. Each host name such as mikeshealth.com will need to be registered with name servers with the IP address of www.1shoppingcart.com. Your web server will then need to be configured to perform perform any mapping.
Again, what has this to do with Java?

Is it possible to use images as anchoring points for answers? For example, instead of seeing the choice "very good", could one use a smiley face like this as a choice ?

No, you can't currently have images as choices.

i can't stop complaining about getting more than 10 points for a single answer
Please have a look at this Re: Inexisting BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST in our SAP system IDES. There are 4 * 6 points rewarded, which is nice, but not correct at all.

After Goods Issuance of Stock Transfer Order:
I did a capturing and posting of Excise Invoice referencing the Goods
Issuance Material Document (of STO) using transaction J1IS. Excise
Document is created succesfully and displayed in the pop up message,
but FI document is not displayed in the pop up message (but it actually
got created in the system).
The pop up message looks like this:
"Excise invoice 001020026 generated. FI document is ."
Is there a SAP note to enable the FI document number to be displayed in
the pop up message?
Will reward points for any helpful answers.

Run transaction FIBF.
On the menu click on - Settings -> Products -> of a Partner -> Activate

Making it easier to award points for individual answers on the same slide.

One of my biggest requests would be for it to be made a lot easier to award points for individual answers.
For example: I would like to use the 'fill in the blanks' quiz to create something that is reffered to in educational circles as 'cloze procedure'. Basically I would like to create an entire slide of text with many blank areas that need to be filled in. This is possible at the moment but it is only possible to award points based on every single answer being correct. I would like to award individual points for each correct answer on the slide.
At the moment this can be done with a lot of complex scripting but I would like to be able to do it at the push of a button.

Scoring: Giving Negative Points for Incorrect Answers on a Quiz

We are using Captivate 5 and I was wondering if there is anyway you can remove points for incorrect answers? Say if you have a multiple choice question with 5 options, 3 of the options would be correct and 2 incorrect. Is it possible to give a -1 point if the incorrect choice is made and give 1 point each for the correct options?

No, that is not possible yet, same for partial scoring.
I have a workaround, using variables and advanced actions to achieve that. You can find some examples on my blog (http://lilybiri.posterous.com). But the issue is to report to a LMS. Trihan has found a solution for that, using JavaScript but I have not yet tested it out, trying to find the tiem.

SSRS 2008 Column Chart with Calculated Series (moving average) "formula error - there are not enough data points for the period" error

I have a simple column chart grouping on 1 value on the category axis. For simplicity's sake, we are plotting $ amounts grouping by Month on the category axis. I right click on the data series and choose "Add calculated series...". I choose moving average. I want to move the average over at least 2 periods.
When I run the report, I get the error "Formula error - there are not enough data points for the period". The way the report is, I never have a guaranteed number of categories (there could be one or there could be 5). When there is 2 or more, the chart renders fine, however, when there is only 1 value, instead of suppressing the moving average line, I get that error and the chart shows nothing.
I don't think this is entirely acceptable for our end users. At a minimum, I would think the moving average line would be suppressed instead of hiding the entire chart. Does anyone know of any workarounds or do I have to enter another ms. connect bug/design consideration.

I was having the same error while trying to plot a moving average across 7 days. The work around I found was rather simple.
If you right click your report in the solution explorer and select "View Code" it will give you the underlying XML of the report. Find the entry for the value of your calculated series and enter a formula to dynamically create your periods.

What I'm doing here is getting the row count of records returned in the chart. If the returned rows are greater than or equal to 7 (The amount of days I want the average) it will set the points to 7. If not, it will set the number to the amount of returned rows. So far this has worked great. I'm probably going to add more code to handle no records returned although in my case that shouldn't happen but, you never know.
A side note:
If you open the calculated series properties in the designer, you will notice the number of periods is set to "0". If you change this it will overwrite your custom formula in the XML.

Change pointer for HR master data is not getting generated in table BDCP

Regarding consignment i will say u have to serch the stock in special stock at plant level and not in the unrestricted area, because consignment ,reservation etc are come under special stock .
regarding terms of payement At company code level it is general payment term for the customer.
Master records have separate areas for Financial Accounting, Sales, and Purchasing. You can specify different terms of payment keys in each of these areas. When you then enter a business transaction, the application in question will use the key specified in its area of the master record.
In sales order payment term flow from sales view and not the company code data.
Hi to check ur own records in vk31 just goto Menu option Condition records and choose either change or display as per ur requirement.

How to determine the mount point for directory /tmp ?

Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 Virtual Machines (rac1 and rac2 whose OS are Oracle Linux 5.6) in VMPlayer and according to the tutorial

I am installing Grid infrastructure. I am on step 7 of 10 (verify Grid installation enviroment) and get this error:
"Free Space: Rac2: /tmp"
Cause: Could not determine mount point for location specified.
Action: Ensure location specified is available.
Expected value: n/a
Actual value: n/a
I have checked the free space using the command:
[root@Rac2 /]# df -k /tmp
Output:
Filesystem 1k-blocks used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 30470144 7826952 21070432 28% /
As you see above, the free space is enough, but could not determine mount point for /tmp.
Do any folk understand how to determine the mount point for directory /tmp ?

I have just checked "/home/oracle/.bash_profile". But in my computer, there is no "oracle" under /home directory.Is this your first time Linux and Oracle installation? I had a brief look at your referenced link. The reason why you do not find a "oracle" user is because the instructions use "ora11g" instead, which, btw, is not standard. The directories of your installation and your installation source can be somewhat different from known standards and you will have to adjust it to your system.
My best guess is that you have either missed something in the instructions or you need to ask the author of the blog what is wrong. The chance to find someone here who has experience with these custom instructions is probably unlikely.
I suggest you try to locate the cluster verification tool, which should be in the bin directory of your grid installation. Alternatively you might want to check the RAC, ASM & Clusterware Installation forum: RAC, ASM & Clusterware Installation
