Points for products (or services)

Hi,
An idea just occured to me. How about allowing points to be redeemed for products or services?
For example: 100 points for a SAP pen, 500 points for a SAP T shirt, 1000 points for a SAP book etc. Perhaps if is too expensive to give away products, you could only charge shipping and handling, or give them at cost.
This may very well be a silly idea. But I would not mind getting a SAP T shirt. I am new to SAP and have only a few points, so maybe there could also be some other way to get SAP products (at low prices).

I never got (or was offered) the orange shirt, but I did get the 1K T-shirt which was light blue.Reached the 2K mark too late ...
Of the two I have I prefer the red one (the blue is a bit too small...:-), except it shouldn't say I am only half K. I am actually 2 K - Kjetil Kilhavn - so I should really have received that dark blue shirt immediately after joining.

Pls keep go thru the new features that were introduced thru this patch level. Make note of the Bugs SAP has fixed with this service pack.
Keeping in view of the features and bug fixed keep track of the areas that you need to keep track of.
Its is also important to check for below things.
1. Master Data - Materials, Vendors and Users.
2. Transactional Data - SC's, PR's,PO's Confirmations, Invoices.
3. Workflow.

How to set the price for product in service channel site

In R12 I had registered the Partner using Register as a partner link.After registration I saw the site selection page i clicked the "Channel services" site. And i click the "Products" tab i see the product only i does not see any price for it. and only one product has the price i clicked the "Add to cart" button and i had seen the error

what i want to do solve this error.
And also i was trying to enroll in the partner program by clicking the "VisionOne authorized partner program" from the Available programs bin i saw the error message when i click the "Enroll now" button

AutoConfig: ERROR: Could not retrieve mount point for product top

when running autoconfig i got the below error for (R12)
there is no errors are reported in autoconfig log file
I Changed The directory of the PROD TOPs that are custom from 12.0.0 to 1.1.1. Auto Config overlays the changes back to 12.0.0. The Auto Config code can not find the Custom Top because it is looking to match up the entries in topfile.txt with 12.0.0 added to the end with the 1.1.1 which does not exist.

Products and Services listing for supplier master

All,
I am on R12 and adding a new supplier using payables resp.
One of the details which i can add for suppliers is "Products and Services". Can someone please advise from where is this list being picked up ? Any lookup table.
I have a requirement to add some more products with there brands to this list based on my business requirements.

User exits for production order

Hello,
Hope all had good weekend. I need some help and would appreciate if someone can guide me here.
I have a requirement where I need to develop an enhancement point for production orders transaction CO02.
The enhancement will check the user's authorization profile. Based on authorization profile, enhancement point will decide and direct 'CO02-Change production Order' OR 'ZCO02 - restricted production orders'.
Here are few question I have related.
1. What user exit I should use for this above requirement ? This should be triggered whenever CO02 is being called either from SAP easy access menu or from a different transaction.
2. How can I check/read users authorization profile within this user exit/enhancement point ?
3. Based on the profile, how do I direct to CO02 or ZCO02 ?
Will highly appreciate if someone could please share their knowledge on this.

Error when uninstalling App-V RDS client: Product: Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Client for Remote Desktop Services 5.0 Service Pack 2 x64 -- Error 1324. The folder path 'C:' contains an invalid character

Issue: experienced when attempting to uninstall the App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS client.
Event Log: Product: Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Client for Remote Desktop Services 5.0 Service Pack 2 x64 -- Error 1324. The folder
path 'C:' contains an invalid character
Symptoms (when in this current state):
Unable to uninstall the SP2 client
You can upgrade the client (via hotfix) and uninstall the hotfix, but you will not be able to remove the SP2 client
AppvVfs filter driver will not create an instance, therefore applications will not be able to read into existing streamed VFS content, or trigger sparse files to stream content. (you can still stream the content via other means, like the UI or powershell)
Because of the AppvVfs filter driver not instantiating, applications that depend on licences that exist in VFS will not be able to be read causing certain applications to react as if the license does not exist or is an incorrect format

Resolution:
Check for the existence of a hidden folder named %appdata% in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Application Virtualization\Client folder. (You will need to un-check the folder options box in windows explorer for "Hide
protected operating system files" to see it)
If the hidden %appdata% folder exists, delete it.
Proceed to uninstall the App-V client
After a clean uninstall and removal of remnants of the client, reinstall the client again and apply the latest hotfix available (Hotfix 2 for SP2 at a minimum).

SOAP Native service flop: "Connection closed..", ready for production???

Our system: Oracle 11GR2 on Linux X64 CentOS.
I followed instructions like here: http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/NativeOracleXmlDbWebServices_11gR1.php, so far so good, I can display the WSDL on broswer. Now for real world testing, I wrote a Visual studio.net 2010 application to use the service, after the very first time ( successfullly returned value), I got exception like:
The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server.
I googled and tried all kinds of tricks, like keepalive=TRUE but no joy. Some people suggested .net has a bug so I use SOAPUI and SOAPsonar, which returnes the same "The Underlying connection was closed" error; I tried to make the session timeout as long as possible still no help, I seem to run out of options, so I tried to configure Oracle HTTP server(instead of the Embeded Gateway) an entry point for /orawsv ( I found no existing sample for this kind of using HTTP server with web service configuration so I took one from APEX configuration inside the dads.conf file ) but it did not work out, so there is almost the end of my native web service miracle(no coding) solution....
The only working case for Oracle SOAP service is : when I use Oracle APEX, it's working fine without any flops. looks like any non-Oracle client won't take Oracle SOAP service from XDB......
Questions:
1. Does anyone else have real working case by using NON-Oracle client application with Oracle XMLDB native web serivices?
2. is it possible to configure Oracle HTTP server 10G working with this native services?
3. Did I miss any parameters on xdbconfig.xml so this kind of death sentence won't happen? ( almost everything is default except the HTTP PORT#)
Any suggestions and advises are greatly appreciated

Oracle APEX does not use SOAP, or the SOAP Provider... It uses EGP which is totally different implementation, the fact that it works or fails is irrelevant to a discussion of database native web services..

I have written a number of applications that use Browser XMLHTTP controls to invoke Soap Services... They have been tested with IE and FIREFOX. I have also tested extensively with XMLSPY's (Altova) Soap Infrastructure..

No Native Web Services are a part of Oracle Database 11g.

Doesn't sound like it assuming you can get a WSDL from he following URL
http://servername:port/orawsv?wsdl
Soap is based on HTTP, which is a stateless protocol so connections should not be open once the request is complete..
Do you have (or can you download a trial) of XMLSpy and test with that stack...
Can you check for any shared servers errors reported in the alert.log, found the trace directory of the server

Web Service Developer Pack for production use?

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what the licensing is for use of the web services developer pack reference implementations? Can they be used in a production environment, or are they for development purposes only?

The JWSDP can be used for production use. It is not just
a reference implementation. The exception is the bundled

Check Point VPN-1 Securemote service causes Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion

Has anyone ever managed to solve this one?
We have a problem on Windows 7 SP1 32bit systems.
when we try to start the Check Point VPN-1 Securemote service we get this message:
Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion
When we install a clean Windows 7 from an ISO the checkpoint client without any issues
when we use the same Windows Setup source and install it from SCCM TS - the CheckPoint client doesn't start
the client we're installing is : CP_SeucRemoteSecureClient_NGX_R30_HFA3
which is supported for Win7 x86
other than that there are no special prerequisites for the CheckPoint client. therefore we know the problem is local :/
we tried to isolate and minimize the cause of the issues by trying to see the differences between a clean installation from ISO and a clean installation from SCCM
We know for sure the problem is not from SCCM Client, Programs and Features, Updates, Group Policy
it seems like the configuration is the same but we can't seem to find any online solution about this issue
any suggestions?

Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Netlogon
Server
Workstation
Any error message, please post back.

Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 2 for product version 4.0.1.0.03

Hi Experts,
A customer wants to know if there Are any known issues with applying Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 2 for product version 4.0.1.0.03 .
i gave him the answer that SP2 is not tested for that version hence it is not supprted. So he now asks me if Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 1 is supported for 4.0.1.0.03 , Any input would be of great help.

Be careful when you say SP2 is not supported.
Hyperion s policy in terms of third party products was the following (I would imagine this should remain the same with Oracle, however you may want to check with your local support team):
Hyperion products are tested against the versions specified in the product matrices. They do not actively look for issues in maintenance releases or service pack upgrades from 3rd party vendors for obvious reasons (there would be far too many). They will investigate any maintenance release or service pack upgrades as long as the vendor confirms backward compatibility.
Therefore SP2 would be supported with 4.0.1 and Hyperion/Oracle should investigate any issues you may encounter.
However keep in mind that if a specific issue you have encountered in 4.0.1 is caused by SP2 but fixed in a later version then Oracle's recommendation will be to upgrade.
So its a catch 22 situation really.
Personally I would take this opportunity to recommend an upgrade to 9.3.1 ;-)

Normally must register an AppleCare plan before the original warranty on the Mac expires. If you have problems registering the AppleCare plan for your MacBook, call Apple tech support and ask to be connected to AppleCare Plan Adminstration.

Same ProForma Order for Product & service

Hi..
MY client is creating same sales order for product & service.
When creating proforma only product is getting picked while services are not getting picked up in proforma.
In VOV7 (Maintain iem categories)
for Product-ITEM CAT-TAN(Details)-Revevent for BILLING IS maintained as A-Delivery related billing doc
while for service-ITEM Cat-TAO(Details)-Relevent for bILLING IS maintained as I-Order related billing doc
May I know this is the reason why service material is not getting picked up?
How shd i resolve this?My client want pro forma shd come with material and service..

It it possible to create single proforma for product & services.Im having common sales order which has one product with item category TAN & one service material which is having item category TAO.
While creating proforma only TAN (Product) is coming in proforma while another TAO (Services)is not coming at all.
Billing Relevance for TAN is maintained as Delivery related (A) While the same is maintained for TAO(Services) as Order realated.My client want the same billing relevance as it is?
May I know how it can be possible?

END point URL for ESB Routing service says NOT FOUND

Hi All,
For the routing services in ESB, The link of WSDL is opening up fine, but the link of endpoint URI for the routing service is failing with the message below message. When i invoke the WSDL using SOAP UI, i get back the the same error message. I tried bouncing the server , but of no help. I also notice that slide directory ESB_Projects gives 404 error on any browser.
So when i click below url for any of the routing service
http://<hostname>:<port>/event/<systemName>/<serviceGroupName>/AddressStandardizeRS
I get below error in browser-
Not Found
The requested URL /event/<System Name>/<Service Group Name>/<Routing Service Name> was not found on this server.

Check if the port of ESB in your server is open.
I think that the port is: 7777
try from ESB server:
wget WSDLURI
if you got the file then the port is closed.

Which screen do you want to change the radio button?While creating the SC,you can modify the Product search screen so as not to display the Services else to change the radio button display you may have to modify the screen templates.
