Points if a document moved from one area to another

Hi friends
usually when a document is posted in wrong area
at time posting document 10 points is rewarded and since it is posted in wrong area moderator request to move and 10 points minus
when the document moved to new area no new points is rewarded ifsuppose for some reason moved document is rejected
then the document posted lead to have a minus of 10 points which he had before posting a document
how scn system overcome these kind of issue

I manage the point system on SCN. I looked into your records and saw that several of your documents were rejected by Moderators. In these cases you got 10 points when you published them, then 10 points were removed when they were rejected as part of the "alert moderator" functionality. This is the expected behavior and you didn't lose extra points this way.
** Edit a few hours later ** I was wrong. I forgot that, indeed, when content is rejected 10 points are removed, but if the author resubmits the content again and it is rejected again, the author loses an extra 10 points that he/she never got. I knew about this but forgot. Sorry about that. And thank you Jürgen L for reminding me. The best thing to do is to follow the suggestions provided by the moderators so that the second post is not rejected again.
You have one document showing in your profile under "content" and this document was created in the Logistics and Materials Management space, which is also the space where it resides today. So I don't think this document was moved, and anyway the only issue we know we have with moving content is that the points stay where the content originated from. There is no point loss per se.

I have just moved from one PC to another. They are windows pc's not macintosh. When i installed itunes on the new computer it stated that I already had 5 devices authrorized for this account. I did a little reading and went in and deathorized all 5 PC from the account as I am sure it was a couple pcs ago and a few iphones. When I try and go in and authorize an account I cant see anywhere where there is a prompt to authorize the new PC. I go into store and all it says is that there are no devices associated to this account. What I would like to do is associate my new PC and my iphone to this account and hopefully restore from the cloud all of my music and programs.
Any idea what I am doing wrong here or how I can resolve this. Thanks in advance.

DATAGRID FOCUS ISSUE: Focus got lost, while moving from one cell to another cell using tab key.

Problem: Focus got lost, while moving from one cell to another cell using tab key.
Example: In an AdvanceDataGrid, there are three columns having custom ItemRenderer with Spark TextInput control (editable=true & focusEnabled=true).
When I try to move the focus in with in 2nd, 3rd & 4th column using tab key, focus got lost. Most of the time it’s working, but some time it doesn’t work. There’s no clue as to how may rows/columns the focus has jumped to; or whether the focus has gone out of the data grid altogether.
Observations: I am not sure whether this problem is because of custom component implementation or it is because of some issue related to Flex Component.
It only occurs when we perform some actions like some server call, some complex logic execution etc. at the focus out event of itemrenderer.
There is one property of datagrid i.e. editedItemPosition which contains row & column index of datagrid. On the focus out event, it gets null when focus got lost. We tried to set it, but it didn’t work.
Steps Performed:-
1. Currently focus is in 2nd column i.e. Apply to #.
2. Once I press tab key from 2nd column, it goes to 3rd column which is correct.
3. Now if I press tab key from 2nd column i.e. Payment #, focus should go to 3rd column, but it goes out of data grid and set the focus of button which is outside data grid.

Here are few options/ways:
1) Save the library as template and reuse at another sub sites. Here the permission will be revoked at destination site
2) Use sitemanager page to move list and libraries. URL owuld be SITEURL/_layouts/sitemanager.aspx . You will have the old permisison at another sub site.
3) Use Powershell command to have the xeport and import of that library from source to destination
4) Use Contentdeployment tool. It is free from codeplex

Data to be moved from one instance to another

Hi All,
I don't have any data administration experience. All i am looking for is a document or process flow on the data movement between 2 oracle 9i instances on UNIX. Suppose there are 2 Oracle 9i instances - A and B. At some point of time, some transaction would come into A and those new/modified/deleted transactions need to be moved to B so that at any point of time both A and B are in sync.
I want to move the data alone from A to B. Pls note that both the instances will have billions of records and atleast 30-35 K tables. It would be of great help if some one could provide me a link to the document mentioning the approach that can be taken to achieve this.

Yes import/export utilities can do many things. Some of which are outlined below:
create table structures with no data, no constraints, on grants
create table structures and include any of the things like constraints, grants, ect
move data without creating table structures
move only a select set of data based on query in export
move the entire database
move a selected set of users (schemas)
There are other possibilities depending on your environment. There are transportable tablespaces where basically you can copy the datafiles from one system to another.
Standby databases which can be either scheduled to have updates, updated in real-time/delayed, they can be logical or physical, they can allow reporting to be offloaded to it rather than be ran against the production database.
There are many different possibilities depending on the business/user requirements. This topic is very, very complex. If you are new to Oracle I don't think that you can understand all the possibilities unless you do a whole bunch of reading.
As stated before by someone else, the import/export is probably not the solution you want if the tables are as large as you indicated earlier. Again though it will depend a lot on the requirements, business logic and hardware/software you have available. You probably need to hire an "Oracle expert" for this type of analysis.

Moving from One Mac to Another

I'm considering selling my 13" Mid-2009 MacBook Pro for a newer 13" i5 MacBook Pro. It's the first time I've done a transition from one Mac to another and I have a few questions...
What's the best way to transfer everything over to my new Mac, without having to reinstall certain software? I'm worried about needing to re-install Logic, Aperture, Final Cut, or CS5, because these discs are packed away in boxes and I can't really get to them right now. If I have to re-install things like Firefox or OnyX, no big deal there... just looking to backup the Pro applications.
Can migration assisstant do what I'm looking for, or is there something better for this? Need some insight on how to handle this.

There's a Migrating your Mac wizard in the "Utilities" folder - when you start the NEW Mac - all you need is a network cable, when PROMPTED - when the new Mac turns on - it asks "are you migrating an existing Mac" (something like that) say YES - at that point, on your other system - you're going to fire up the "migrating your mac" program - which will be on your OLD system. Once there, the Network cable (Make sure it's compatible with gigbit speeds - this process will take some time!) but the two systems WITHOUT A SWITCH, Without a hub - plugged from one to another, will move EVERYTHING to the new system.
How?
You sign on as YOU every time you do anything. The program simply looks for anything NOT owned by the system - and 100% of your stuff is moved over properly, into the right places

Inherit metadata not working when content is moved from one folder to another

I have a unique situation for which i would like to know if there is any solution.
We have WebCenter Content 11.1.1.8.0 installed with Framework folders, Accounts and RoleEntityACL (Access Control List-ACL) enabled.
We are not using Accounts, but are using ACL since we want the end users to be able to modify the content access permissions.
Now as per documentation - Managing Content Repositories section 11.2.3.2.1 What You Should Know About Item Level Security
The following occurs in Oracle Content Server on setting custom permissions for a file or folder from the Item Level Security dialog:
The account is changed to account WCILS/original_account.
All users are by default granted RWDA on account WCILS. Changing the account to WCILS/original_account ensures that only the custom permissions determine the security on the content.
The ACL content metadata fields, xClbraUserList and xClbraRoleList are updated with the custom permissions.
The content metadata field, xInhibitUpdate is set to true, to prevent ILS from overwriting an item's own custom security with a parent folder's custom permissions.
Now when i am copying or moving any item from one folder to another folder, it does not inherits the Roles Access Control Lists, User Access Lists of the destination folder in which i am copy the content. It does not inherit the other metadata values like comments and a few more custom metadata value.
I understand that this is due to the xInhibitUpdate metadata field, mentioned above.
Is there any way to override the xIhibitUpdate metadata field and set it to false?
Does anyone know what event is fired when we perform the copy or move of a content item?

Moving from one iPhone to another

Can you please kindly clear this up for me. I'm reading and clicking around and just getting more confused.
Recently I moved from an iPhone 3G -> 3GS. I did a back up and used this to restore on to the new phone. Brilliant. Everything was there except my apps and music.
I put this down to not syncing them on that laptop I used.
Now I'm expecting an iPhone 4 soon and want to make sure this doesn't happen again. I have gone in to iTunes (10.1 on a Mac Book Air running 10.6.5) but if I click sync on the apps it warns me it will wipe my phone and install what shows in the library - one app I don't even have on the phone. Eek!
What should I do to ensure my apps get put on to my new phone?

The apps/music were on a different computer I changed from about the same time so I never got around to doing the whole sync thing on there. I did restore from this old computer but it was until I was away from it I realised what had happened with the apps and music! I understood this is what I should have done though to get them back as I know they were all synced on there.
It all makes sense now so it won't happen again, cheers!
To be clear for those finding this thread looking for help, if you are planning to move from one iPhone to another:
1- Before: Do a back up (right click the phone on the left in iTunes and choose backup)
2- Sync apps etc (right click on the phone on the left in iTunes and choose sync purchases)
3- On the new phone when iTunes asks, use the backup
4- After, sync it to get your apps back!

Itunes duplication of songs when moved from one computer to another.

I moved all my music and itunes from one computer to another. I now have most of my artist that have duplicate songs and sometimes three copies of the same song for some reason. Some artist it didn't affect at all but that is a minority. How can I clean this up without going through every line in my folder and deleting the copies? I have like 25K songs. I hope someone can help.

Moving from one computer to another w/o messing up the iPhone setup

i want to try and start syncing with a new computer i am about to get without having to wipe the iPhone
is there anyway that i can move all the relevant files from my old desktop to a new one so that the iTunes playlists and the apps in folders stay as they are now?
i know it is not just a matter of copying over the iTunes folder, because there must be files in folders like HD & ~/App Support or HD & ~/Pref, and quite possibly more
but there may also be a problem that the computer number is associated with the syncing, and that it cannot be done
either way, i want to give it a go, so does anyone know if there is a knowledge base on this, or even an app that would allow me to achieve this task?

This is also incorrect. In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with the iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. If you transfer the iTunes folder from your Music folder where all iTunes content is stored including 3rd party apps along with playlists, play count, etc. from one computer to another and you authorize the computer with your iTunes account with iTunes, you can sync your iPhone with the computer the iTunes folder was transferred to without losing any iTunes content on your iPhone and as if you aren't syncing with a different computer.
The same applies with photos if you are using iPhoto. All you need to do is transfer the iPhoto Library from one Mac to another and nothing will have changed.

Preventing SO moved from one PC to another

I have an application that needs to store a "key" on a
specific PC and it's important that the user can't simply move a
Shared Object from one PC to another to "Key" the 2nd PC. Is there
any way of reading PC Specific information to identify the PC is
the same one that the SO was created on? Or is there some other
technique that is typically used to accomplish this?

ML Automatically sorts files by name when moving from one folder to another.

Hello, i usually used to move a bunch of files like images or mp3s from one folder to another and in Lion, when moving like 20+ files to another folder, they was being placed where you clicked.
Seems that in ML when i move the same amount of same files, rather than placing them at the cursor, it just moves them and sorts by name. How to avoid this?

CRM SSRS Custom Reports - moving from one org to another

Hi all,
I have a development and UAT organisation on-premise (but same CRM organisation copied across). I want to copy my report from my dev environment to UAT. I have tried to 'Download' the report from dev and import it into UAT but I get 'RsProcessingAborted' report
error when I try to run the report. It is working on the dev environment fine.
Do I need to manually change some of the connection strings in the exported report? See below for exported report contents (some of it)

Do I need to change this stuff manually and if so, what do I need to change? (or is there an easier way?). When I don't change anything, I get rsprocessingabored. I can run reports on the UAT when they are created in the UAT CRM organisation so i know the report

According to your description, you migrate the report from develop environment to UAT environment. When you run the report, you come across 'RsProcessingAborted' error.
In your scenario, I suggest you migrate SSRS reports to another report server instead of copying the .rdl directly, you can use Reporting Services Migration Tool to achieve your goal. Or you can use rs.exe script to migrate the content to the new report
