Police of report in IAS 10g
hi,
my problem is that the labels with police (Lucida Bright) used in reports created with oracle reports 10 g are displayed with arial police when i call the report (pdf format) with ias 10g

I´m deploying on a IAS 10.1.3.
My requirement is:
I´m using Oracle BPEL Process Manager. This makes a call to a @OneWay @WebMethod exposed method (webservice) on this IAS. After processing, the application must return the result to BPEL, so this is an asynchronous operation. The call is working fine but to return the callback result I´m using BPEL Client API (IDeliveryService and NormalizedMessage) and to use it I nedd to transform my POJO´s on XML (string) or to a org.w3c.dom.Element and I don´t know how to do that...
The POJO´s was created using Ant task 'Oracle:genProxy'.

You will need to modify your default.env to point to the directory where your .fmx is located and formsweb.cfg to run the specific form, e.g. foo.fmx (default is test.fmx).

Reports Error Page 10g NullPointerException
We have created a JSP report that produces Excel output via method outlined in the example given in the HowTo:

Any ideas what could be causing the report to fail and ways to make the report run under 10g As?Try adding charset to the content type

Error when starting Discoverer on IAS 10g
The installation of an IAS 10g (9.0.4)(on Linux, SUSE SLES9) succeded without an error. The different services (Forms, Reports, Discoverer ...) are running (green).
Starting Discoverer Plus we get the error "CORBA-Protocol: Connecting to .. OSAgent was not sucessful".
We installed a second IAS-Farm on different hardware and got the same error. We deployed path 9.0.4.1, but nothing changed.
We have already installed several IAS 10g in SLES8 without any problems.
We check serveral things without getting any further idea what is wrong.

Tilmansee if there is a process on your machine called OSAgent or dis51pr or dis51ws. It seems like the discoverer corba components aren't started properly. If you run 'opmnctl status' from the command line it should show you whether they are up or down as well.

Can we install/integrate XML Publisher with iAS 10g (10.1.2) and how can we integrate published reports with it.
We don't have SSO,OID

IAS 10g rel 2 BI and Forms services
I have the IAS 10g rel 2 infrastructure on a RH v3 server and, as we need Discoverer, plan on installing BI on the same server. We also need Forms and Reports services as well.
As I don't see Forms services in BI (although the documentation says it is) the following questions arise:
- If I install BI without Reports services, is it possible to install Forms and Reports services from the stand-a-lone version into the BI $OH? Or, would it require another separate $OH for the Forms and Reports services?
- If I install BI with Reports services, is it possible to install just the Forms services into the BI $OH? Or, again, is a separate $OH required for just the Forms services?
Your responses are much appreciated!!There are three installation types that are pertinent to this question:
From Oracle Application Server 10g CDs, you can install BI and Forms Services and configure Discoverer, Reports, Forms (and even Portal). This has dependency on Infrastructure.
From Forms and Reports Services CDs, you can install Forms and Reports (in a seperate Oracle Home, never into BI and Forms install O_H). This has no dependency on Infrastructure.
From BI Cds, you can install Discoverer and Reports with no Infra dependency. It has to be in its own Oracle Home only.
So if your need is to run Discoverer, Reports, Forms in one Oracle Home but have no infrastructure dependency, it is not possible.

I have migrated from reports 6i to 10g. In reports 6i, we have a report previwer which give exactly as how we design in the report builder and we are able to print as it is.
But in 10g we have different destination format & type. Which is the best format to use.
I have used html, but my reports has line formating etc, which are not appearing in html.
I have tried pdf , format are almost same, but orientation is wrong. My report orientation is landscape. but printing it is going to potrait mode. every time i have to select landscape mode. Where as the same report is correctly printing in 6iver.
Please suggest a best report format.I don't think there is a "best report format". Id depends on what you want to achieve. Instaed of html you could use htmlcss, this provides html-output with extended layour options. For printing, pdf (in my opinion) is the best format. About your problem with always having to choose the correct orientation, there is an option in pdf-viewer to "always take the best fitting paper", this should solve your issue.

Reports 6i against 10g database
Hi,
We are upgrading our database from 9i to 10g. We are running our reports (6i) against 10g database in the batch mode. For some of our reports we are getting the following error:
REP-0736: There exist uncompiled program unit(s).
REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL.
When report is opened in ReportBuilder it needs to be recompiled against 10g and then it runs fine.
Please advise how to solve this problem.This is not because of the database is changed. Some of the packages/program units compilation dates might have changed and hence reports wants it to be recompiled.

If you saved your targets.xml before you started you might save it by renaming it back.
(Double check to make sure you did not miss a rename)
Otherwise, all I have to offer is my rough notes:
1. Backup the file $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/emd/targets.xml.
[oracle@ias02 emd]$ pwd
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/sysman/emd
cp targets.xml targets.xmlbackup
2. Modify the file targets.xml by changing all the occurrences of the wrong reports server name by the correct one.
i.e. Replace rep_test_midtier with rep_new (4 places - changes)
Copy the conf file as follows: ( this will named different from system to system )
cp /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/reports/conf/rep_pia_oracleas.conf /u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/reports/conf/rep_fam.conf
run this script:
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/bin/addNewServerTarget.sh rep_fam (change rep_fam to new report server name)
3.Update the changed configuration .
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig -ct opmn -v -d
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/dcm/bin/dcmctl resyncinstance -v -d
4. Restart the Application Server Control Console
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/bin/emctl stop iasconsole
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/bin/emctl start iasconsole
In the file:
/u01/app/oracle/product/midtier/reports/config/reportsConfig.properties
Change the Reports_Server_Name setting from rep_test_midtier to rep_fam (change rep_fam to new report server name)

This will probably have created a pdf file on your app server somewhere.
You should use destype=cache if you want to see it appear in the browser window. -

We are migrating form from Oracle form 6i to Oracle 10g(10.1.2.0.2). I am calling reports from forms
using Web.Show_Docment(). When we run reports in report builder 10g it works fine.
But when we try to run reports from Forms 10g it throws error which is given below.
We want to run reports from UNIX. After using this url to submit report we get error REP 110 and REP 0110
