Policy and Configuration Map

Good Morning. I am sure there is not a feature but maybe this can be a feature request. I was wondering if there is a policy\bundle relationship map for those who are horrible at documenting.
Any thing or any ideas out there for this feature?

  • SBL and Windows group policy user configuration preference

    We would like to have user connects to VPN via SBL and then login to the AD domain.  Ideally, the group policy user configuration preference, such as drive mapping, should be applied after successful AD login.  However, we are running into issue where the preferences are not being applied.  It appears the AnyConnect VPN tunnel is not completely established after the user login to AD; and hence the GPO preference was not able to apply.  It takes about 1 min.after the user's AD login before the VPN tunnel is completely established.
    Just want to find out if anyone is able to get SBL and AD GPO preference working successfully.

  • UCSM 2.1 Local disk configuration policy and raid volumes

    Hi!
    If i use Any configuration as local disk configuration policy and do the raid settings directly to the RAID-cards, am i able to have two raid volumes on C-series under UCSM management?
    What i would like to do with C240M3 with 6 local disks: 2 disk raid1 and 4 disk raid0
    So i would use:
    "Any Configuration—For a server configuration that carries forward the local disk configuration without any changes."
    As UCS servers Raid guide indicates:
    "Maximum of One RAID Volume and One RAID Controller in Integrated Rack-Mount Servers
    A rack-mount server that has been integrated with Cisco UCS Manager can  have a maximum of one RAID volume irrespective of how many hard drives  are present on the server. "
    Is this paragraph limitation of GUI not able to set several volumes or hard fact without "Any configuration" workaround?

    I did some testing about this issue:
    Changed Local Disk Configuration to "Any Configuration"
    Two virtual disks can be created from Raid card's WebBIOS
    These disks are visible to RedHat Installation.
    UCSM shows Any configuration for the Storage Local Disk policy
    Actual Disk Configuration has faulty information - WebBios is the only place to check the RAID status?
    Next step: I'll do the same for the production

  • Software Updates Failing - Group Policy Overwritten - Server and Policy NOT CONFIGURED

    I have seen a few posts about this issue and group policy overwriting the settings needed by SCCM with the wrong WSUS server. I checked the wuahandlerlog and found this error but it didnt have the server information.
    "Group policy settings were overwritten by a higher authority (Domain Controller) to: Server  and Policy NOT CONFIGURED"
    The only coputer policy that applies to this system does not have WSUS entries in it.  Windows update runs ok, and I deleted the WSUS registry keys that were set by a script and reinstall the client still getting the same error. I dont see any GPO local or domain, or reg keys that are setting anything. I have 10 other servers is the same AD container that this is working perfecly on.......
    Suggestions????

    Check out this GPO:
    Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Group Policy:
    "Turn off Local Group Policy Objects processing"
    The help text:
    "This policy setting prevents Local Group Policy Objects (Local GPOs) from being applied.
    By default, the policy settings in Local GPOs are applied before any domain-based GPO policy settings. These policy settings can apply to both users and the local computer. You can disable the processing and application of all Local GPOs to ensure that only
    domain-based GPOs are applied.
    If you enable this policy setting, the system does not process and apply any Local GPOs.
    If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, Local GPOs continue to be applied.
    Note: For computers joined to a domain, it is strongly recommended that you only configure this policy setting  in domain-based GPOs. This policy setting will be ignored on computers that are joined to a workgroup."

  • How to remove a font file and its mapping from XML Publisher Administrator

    Hello,
    I am trying to remove a font file and its mapping from the XML Publisher Administrator. If this is not possible, is there a way to disable it?
    The reason why I am asking this is because we just got a new check printer, and I was able to print just fine. However, the MICR font was not coming up properly on the check, so I went ahead and configured the font with the XML Publisher Administrator. Now my check output is coming up blank after running the XML report publisher program. The only change I did was to upload the MICR font and mapped it.
    My template and rdf report file are working fine in another environment we have, so I know that's not the problem.
    Any help is appreciate it.
    Thanks.

    This is how you do it
    Font
    DELETE FROM xdo_lobs
    where lob_code like '<Font_name>';
    Font Mapping Set
    DELETE FROM xdo_font_mapping_sets_TL
    WHERE mapping_code like '<MAPPING_CODE>'

  • Retention Policy and report/delete obsolete

    The database is Oracle 9i on Solaris 8 Platform.
    The backup of datafiles and archivelog files use tape and run every night.
    The backups should be held for two weeks therefore using RMAN retention policy with REPORT / DELETE OBSOLETE will be the apropiate method. Unfortunatelly somehow none of the two methods of retention policy RECOVERY WINDOW or REDUNDANCY don't seem to work. The big question is WHY?
    I configured the retention policy using:
    CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO REDUNDANCY 7
    Then ALLOCATE CHANNEL FOR MAINTENANCE DEVICE TYPE sbt;
    I ran CROSSCHECK BACKUP with a correct output and then REPORT OBSOLETE. The report displays all existing backups - (SYSDATE-2)!
    If using RECOVERY WINDOW OF 7 DAYS then the obsolete report displays the list of backups - (SYSDATE-1).
    Somehow whatever number I use (7/9/5)in any of the retention policy the result is identical with the one above!

    Really I do not know if there is a limitation regarding that aspect if you take the backups in tapes directly. I have implanted and I have seen it function well when backups are store directly in disk.
    Find out here if that is a limitation.

  • How to install and configure Oracle 10g Express Edition on Fedora 11?

    Hi everyone!
    I have recently installed Oracle 10g XE on my Laptop Gateway T-1625, which has Fedora 11.
    I followed the install instructions on [http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/tutorial/DBXETutorial/index.htm] , and configured the server as explained, but something is wrong... When I try to go to the database home page http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex, I get "Failed to Connect" on Firefox 3.5b4... I don't think it's because of the Firefox version because it's proved to be very stable (for a beta).
    I've search for similar issues on GNU/Linux and I found this thread in these forums: [ http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=915218&tstart=0] , but the solution is for Ubuntu 9.04, and if it's possible I would like to know a specific solution for Fedora 11.
    I also tried to see the oracle server status with:
    # /etc/init.d/oracle-xe status
    And I got this....

    I hope someone can help me out and guide me on the right direction. Thanks a lot!

    Hi again!
    After your last post I realized that the dba group and the oracle user already existed.
    #groupadd dba
    groupadd: group dba exists
    #useradd oracle -d /home/oracle -s /bin/bash -g dba
    useradd: user oracle existsHowever, I finally assigned a password for that account and changed the ownership of the /usr/lib/oracle/xe
    with the commands you suggested:
    passwd oracle
    chown -R oracle:dba /usr/lib/oracle/xeAfter this, I can log in as the oracle user but the SELinux showed a warning and the /usr/lib/oracle/xe
    is treated as the oracle home, and no .bashrc file is located on this home. This is the SELinux warning:
    SELinux is preventing gdm-session-wor (xdm_t) "write" to /usr/lib/oracle/xe (lib_t).
    Details:
    SELinux denied access requested by gdm-session-wor. /usr/lib/oracle/xe may
    be a mislabeled. /usr/lib/oracle/xe default SELinux type is user_home_dir_t, but its
    current type is lib_t. Changing this file back to the default type, may fix your problem.
    File contexts can be assigned to a file in the following ways.
      * Files created in a directory receive the file context of the parent
        directory by default.
      * The SELinux policy might override the default label inherited from the parent directory
    by specifying a process running in context A which creates a file in a directory
    labeled B will instead create the file with label C.
        An example of this would be the dhcp client running with the dhclient_t type and
    creates a file in the directory /etc. This file would normally receive the etc_t type due
    to parental inheritance but instead the file is labeled with the net_conf_t type
    because the SELinux policy specifies this.
      * Users can change the file context on a file using tools such as chcon, or restorecon.
    This file could have been mislabeled either by user error, or if an normally confined
    application was run under the wrong domain.
    However, this might also indicate a bug in SELinux because the file should not have
    been labeled with this type.
    If you believe this is a bug, please file a bug report (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi)
    against this package.
    Allowing Acces:
    You can restore the default system context to this file by executing the restorecon command.
    restorecon '/usr/lib/oracle/xe', if this file is a directory, you can recursively restore using
    restorecon -R '/usr/lib/oracle/xe'.
    Fix command:
    restorecon '/usr/lib/oracle/xe'I suppose the command #useradd oracle -d /home/oracle -s /bin/bash -g dba is where I can define the user's home, but if this user already exists how can I modify its settings?
    is SELinux preventing the .bashrc file to be created? or what could be causing this?.
    I hope you know how much I appreciate your help and want to thank you for your time.

  • Horizontal Mapping and Flat mapping with Metadata Value Indicator

    Hi
    I have an abstract class B which itself extends another abstract class A.
    There is no table for A. The fields in A are mapped to B. I believe this
    is called "horizontal mapping"
    C and D inherit off B. There's a also a table named B (mapped to class B),
    but none for C or D. Instances of C and D are recorded in table B. I
    believe this is called "flat mapping"
    B has a field foo whose possible values are 'fred' and 'wilma'.
    If foo='fred', then the record is of type C
    If foo='wilma', then the record is of type D
    I believe this is called "class indicator" of type metadata.
    To express this, I have package.jdo which says
    <class name="A"/>
    <class name="B" persistence-capable-superclass="A"/>
    <class name="C" persistence-capable-superclass="B"/>
    <class name="D" persistence-capable-superclass="B"/>
    In B.mapping, I have
    <mapping>
    <package name="domain">
    <class name="B">
    <jdbc-class-map type="horizontal"/>
    <jdbc-class-ind type="metadata-value" column="foo"/>
    </class>
    </package>
    </mapping>
    B.java has a private String foo.
    In C.mapping, I have
    <mapping>
    <package name="domain">
    <class name="C">
    <jdbc-class-map type="flat"/>
    <jdbc-class-ind-value value="fred"/>
    field mappings for C
    </class>
    </package>
    </mapping>
    and similarly in D for value='wilma'
    My questions are...
    1. Is this kind of mapping supported by kodo?
    2. If so, is this configuration correct? I guess not, since I don't
    specify the table name anywhere. Where should it go?
    3. If I remove the "class indicator" mapping and run a simple test I get
    kodo.util.FatalUserException: There is no superclass mapping for mapping

    -- Sandeep Gupta

    Hi Sandeep Gupta,
    Based on my understanding, there were something wrong when you configured the SNMP service via GPO. As Martin said, please provide us the policy you configured to get more help. In addition, please also tell us your OS information.
    I would like to introduce you some knowledge on SNMP settings:
    Based on my experience and research, the
    SNMP settings (including permissions) are stored in the following registry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNMP
    Therefore, we can configure a sample computer and then propagate the registry settings to other computers via scripts. Note that, the default ADM file can only
     be used to configure "Read only" settings.

    I just installed Windows Server 2012 R2 standard and trying to install RRAS.
    Following these steps:
    To install RRAS
    Perform one of the following two steps to start the Add Roles Wizard:
    Start Server Manager. In the main window, under Roles Summary, click
    Add roles.
    In the Initial Configuration Tasks window that appears when you first log on, under
    Customize This Server, click Add roles.
    On the Before You Begin page, click Next.
    Note
    This page does not appear if you previously selected Skip this page by default.
    On the Select Server Roles page, select Network Policy and Access Services, and then click
    Next twice.
    On the Select Role Services page, select Routing and Remote Access Services.
    Once I get to step 4 I do not see Routing and Remote Access listed under role services.  Any idea why this is?
    Thanks,
    Craig

    Hello,
    please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ubn5fkXZq8
    And use "Remote Access" instead "Network Policy and Access Services".

  • OneDrive Pro Group Policy & Centralised Configuration Options

    Hi there,
    I would like to guidance as to the available options for controlling and configuring the Office 365 Pro Plus 'OneDrive Pro' application within Group Policy?  What is the most streamlined way of centrally configuring the desktop application on sync'ing
    online OneDrive content from Office 365 to the desktop?  It all seems rather manual and based around individual user subscriptions initially.
    Responses appreciated, with any reference links / guides.
    Thank you.

  • Changing policy and accleration setting live

    Does enabling new acceleration settings and/or modifying policy settings require downtime ? Do we need to disable any enabled features prior to activating any new features, like http metadata caching, dre hints, etc...
    What happens to in flight data if this is done live ?

    Mike,
    Modifying the policy engine or adding accelerator features does not require downtime.  Only new TCP flows will be affected by the changes.  Existing flows have already been classified via the original policy engine configuration during the TCP 3-way handshake and are unaffected.
