Policy Node marked Stale due to time out

What does this mean, the case is when running Policy Agent for IIS 6.0

Well I have no idea what this error was about, but in my case it was the error that you have 4 Access Manger domains and I have specified a wrong one in the AMAgent.properties.

  • FB03 transaction gives runtime error due to time out!

    Hi All,
    In the transaction FB03, I entered a reference number that has not yet been created and then a company code of 2130 and fiscal year 2010 and hit enter. It takes a lot of time to show the error message that "No documents exists which fulfills the selection criteria".
    I debugged and found that a FETCH NEW CURSOR statement takes time and hence the delay in showing the o/p.
    The exact ABAP statement is :- FETCH NEW CURSOR dbcursor INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF ex_result.
    Please suggest me if there is some note to be implemented or any other solution for the same!
    Thanks,
    Safeer.

    Trace the process to determine if there is a bad index being used.  Is the search using BKPF~1 or another index?  Are your DB stats up to date?  As for notes, you're unlikely to find one but don't ask for them here, search for them on OSS.

    Having trouble connecting to Internet with my MacBook Air. It can be fine for a few hours thins goes off and all I get it the message couldn't connect due to time out error connection. It can't be my broadband because I don't have the same problem with my other devices. Is my mac air breaking down?

    looks like this is your network connection settings problem, you'd better only keep one network adaptor online and linked, if you do not understand how to setup windows routing, this is completely not firefox problem. buddy. wish you goodluck.

  • How to increase query time out

    I have a report which is generated using a huge SQL, it is erroring while displaying results, due to time out error:

    How to increase this time so that the connection persists for a longer duration?

    I looked in the NQSConfig.ini file for you. In here you find the following:
    [ CACHE ]
    ENABLE     =     YES;
    // A comma separated list of <directory maxSize> pair(s)
    // e.g. DATA_STORAGE_PATHS = "d:\OracleBIData\nQSCache" 500 MB;
    DATA_STORAGE_PATHS     =     "/oracle/oaobi01/data/ontwbif1013/OracleBIdata/cache" 500 MB;
    MAX_ROWS_PER_CACHE_ENTRY = 100000; // 0 is unlimited size
    MAX_CACHE_ENTRY_SIZE = 1 MB;
    MAX_CACHE_ENTRIES = 1000;
    I think you can do something with this...
    You can find the nqsconfig.ini in this directory:<Install Drive>\OracleBI\server\Config
    Otherwise have a look in the Server Administration Guide, chapter 11

  • ABAP Program analysis with se30 how to avoid time out ?

    Hi Gurus,
    my problem is that I would like to analysis the performance issues of an ABAP Specific transaction.
    BAsically, I launch se30, provide transaction code under transaction field and click on execute.
    This launch transaction and then I put parameters and :
    a ) launch transcation
    b ) launch in background immediate.
    In both cases it doesn't work due to time out and I never obtain a usefull result.
    My question is : how can I use to analys such a transaction and avoid time out problem ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Regards
    Morgan

    One way would be to limit the selection criteria in such a way that the processed data is still representative but it finishes before the time out.
    Even when a time out occurs, there should already be a trace file up to that point that you can evaluate. Depends on your processing logic, if it is one big outer loop it might be valid data, if you have several independent blocks, then you might be missing something important.
    There is also the option "in parallel mode" where you can capture running BDC processes for analysis, maybe try this option as well. The trace file might grow pretty big though the longer your process runs, depending on aggregation level.

    Here is the code:

    here is the !@#$ exception (sorry been tracing this one for hours):

    It usually means that you're doing something which creates a loop in your locking. Something like setting a value in each instance from an update method of one of the instances. Your posted code doesn't seem to be the trouble, but I could be missing something.

  • Broadcaster times-out due to dialog process

    Hi !
    I'm trying to set up a broadcasting for a report with a large amount of records, and since when I execute it in dialog it times out, broadcasting it in the background seemed a great idea.
    The thing is that, despite I schedule it to run in a background process, it still creates a dialog process to fetch data wich times out and therefore the background process (the document creation and email sendig) ends correctly sending a 'No Data Available' report or with an error: com.sap.ip.bi.base.exception.BIBase.RuntimeException.
    The parameters for the report are being set in the General Precalculation tab, while there is a Filter Navigation tab which allows you to filer specific characteristics. Which is the difference here ?
    Regards,
    Santiago

    Sonal, thanks for the quick answer.
    Let me see if I get this right.
    The Precalculation tab allows to filter before precalculation, in order to fetch de query from precalc. cache instead of direct db access. The data excluded from filters in precalc. tab will not be available in the query.
    On the other hand, Filter tab sets filter values for characteristics contained in the query. Is this like the right column of the filter tab of Query Designer ?
    Let me know if this is right.

    Santiago

  • Time outs when redirected from RDS CB to RDSH

    Hi,
    I'm troubleshooting connectivity for the following setup:
    1x RD Gateway server
    1x RD Connection Broker Server also License server
    1x RD Web server
    1x RDSH server with multiple RemoteApps
    Gateway is configured to allow bypass for local connections.  Certificate has the correct name and is successfully installed. Certificate is from an internet CA.
    When users come in over the internet RemoteApps launch pretty quickly every time.  When users connect over the LAN RemoteApps launch successfully but much slower.  When users connect over some VPN connections the connection times out when launching
    a RemoteApp.
    Over VPN I can see a successfull CAP and RAP in the Gateway Event log.  I can also see a successful connection and successful redirection from the gateway to the connection broker over HTTP.  In the SessionBroker log I can see a successful connection, but
    then when the redirect to RDSH is attempted event 819 occurs "This connection request has timed out. User could not log on to the end point within the alloted time. Remote Desktop Connection Broker will stop monitoring this connection request."
    When you connect over the LAN it takes longer but successfully redirects, and when connecting over the internet (non VPN) it connects quickly and successfully.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
    What’s your server and client version you are using?
    Please uncheck the option “Bypass RD Gateway for local address” for gateway setting and verify whether there is any improvement in connections. Also as you have commented that you are receiving time out when you use VPN connection, please see whether there
    is any blockage from firewall side for not allowing VPN connection to make the connections.
    This might also occur due to antivirus or other 3rd party related software. Because as you can connect directly from internet without any issue but there is some problem with internal LAN and VPN connection, So seems issue with internal firewall\antivirus.
    Please check whether it is not blocked or any policy applied for not allowing connection.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Time-out issue Always on SQL 2012 Cluster

    Currently I'm working on a large deployment of a SharePoint 2013 environment (stretched farm over 2 DC's). We are using a SQL 2012 alwayson multisubnet cluster (each DC has 1 SQL node). During the installation of SharePoint we encountered several connection
    time-out errors from the SQL environment. (Exception calling "Open" with "0" argument(s): "Connection Timeout Expired.  The timeout period elapsed during the post-login
    phase.  The connection could have timed out while waiting for server to complete the login process and respond;)
    Steps we follow for SharePoint installation are:
    Steps to configure SharePoint 2013 on an AlwaysOn Availability group:
    1>Create SharePoint databases (with the PowerShell script)
      Configure a SQL alias for a consistent SQL instance name.
     Create farm on SQL instance/replica 1 (one of the SQL nodes), creating all databases needed (service-apps & web-apps). -->
    we are connected directly to 1 SQL node and not connecting to the cluster. Installation server is in same DC as the SQL node.
       Stop SharePoint so databases remain static during migration to an AlwaysOn cluster.
    2>Move database to AlwaysOn high-availability group.
    Restore all the DBs onto SQL replica 2 (with NORECOVERY).
    Create AlwaysOn availability group, or use existing
    Join the replica 2 databases to availability group.
    Create listener.
    3>Migrate SharePoint onto AlwaysOn on cluster
    Make all SharePoint DB MultiSubnetFailover aware with PowerShell Cmdlet
    Reconfigure SQL alias for new listener
    àat this point the SharePoint farm is connecting to the SQL cluster (listener of AlwaysOn availability group of the SQL Instance), but we never reached this point so far.
     Restart SharePoint services with updated alias.

    We are not allow to update/write in the DNS for the multisubnet cluster IP registration, so I think that explains the "failed registration
    " error. But can this explains our time-out errors during the SharePoint installation? For the installation we are connection directly to 1 SQL node and not to the SQL
    cluster.
    Any help is appreciated!

    Don't just change the connection timeout on your SharePoint farm. This will just hide the real issue. From your error message, it seems that the DNS record for the Availability Group listener name is not being written. Talk to your AD administrators to validate
    if dynamic DNS registration is configured for the DNS servers. If it is, AD will create the DNS entry of the virtual computer object for the Availability Group listener name. The WSFC should also have Create Computer Objects permission in the AD Organizational
    Unit where your Availability Group listener name will be created.
    On a side note, make sure that you configure a separate SharePoint 2013 farm for your DR environment that will use the content databases joined in the Availability Group. For a stretched farm deployments, latency should be less than 1ms one way as
    per this article. And while you can add your admin content and config databases on the Availability Group, asynchronous commit is
    not supported.

  • Ping time out, server connection is lost in visual administrator after java

    Dear all,
    Recently I have done system copy for XI system. I have imported the java import after importing  the abap stack into the target system as java add in abap.The import phase finished successfully and java engine is also working well.

    Hello vamshi,
    As you have suggeseted, I followed the notes and changed the following paramters.The system is 64bit and hence the values are adjusted according to the server.
    -Djco.jarm=1
    -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false
    -Djava.awt.headless=true
    -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=1
    -verbose:gc
    -XX:+PrintGCDetails
    -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps
    -Xss2m
    -Xms2048M
    -Xmx2048M
    -XX:MaxNewSize=320M
    -XX:NewSize=320M
    -XX:MaxPermSize=512M
    -XX:PermSize=512M
    -XX:SurvivorRatio=2
    -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=90
    -XX:+UseParNewGC
    -XX:+UseTLAB
    -XX:+HeapDumpOnCtrlBreak
    The heap size for java is 2048
    But still i am getting the ping time out. Connection to server is lost.
    Kindly let me know,
    Regards
    Vijay

    Can I renew my Applecare Protection Plan that is due to run out?

    Applecare is designed as an extended warranty for a set period (beyond the original manufacturer's warranty). It is a one time deal and not at all intended as an open ended insurance policy. If you have issues, you can still contact apple, but may have to pay for the call. You can post issues here. Visit an Apple store genius bar or authorized service center (which may involve charges for an services performed). Basically, it is what would happen for any electronic device that is out of warranty.

  • Time out parameters for java servers

    Dear Gurus,
    I'm trying to identify if there are any time out parameters/attributes which can be set for the users at Java level.
    I'm wondering if it's possible to limit a user from running a report/query for a long period of time.
    Or a parameter to limit the number of sessions one user can have.
    The reason I'm asking this is because my java server nodes have experience OutOfMemory errors every once in a while, and this is caused by high workload by the users. I'm trying to prevent or decrease the number of these OutOfMemory errors.
    Appreciate any feedback on this.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Keat

    Hi Mark,
    Currently, parameter DefaultExpirationTime = 3600, i think this is okay.
    I've located other parameters which might be related to user/system timeout settings.
    HttpMonitoringCacheTimeoutMillis = 1500
    KeepAliveTimeout = 15
    SessionTableTimeout = -1
    InputStreamAddTimeout = 0
    TransactionTimeout = 0
    sap.defaultMaxNumberOfConnections = 10
    I'm thinking about tweaking these parameters as well.
    Any comments???
    Regards,
    Keat
