Policy Server Document displaying no content inside Adobe Acrobat 7.0

When I apply a policy to a document and login in I am able to view the document the first time. However when I try to re-open the document, it will open in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 but open up with a grey background with no content. We are currently piloting the adobe Policy Server. I have ab out 35 external users on this policy and all of them are active users.

Hi Stacie,
Could you provide more detail on what happens when a document won't open. For example:
* Is a gray background displayed?
* Do you receive an error message (if so, what is it exactly)?
* What client OS are you using (version/service pack/etc)?
* What version of Acrobat are you using (7.0.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2, 7.0.5, etc.)?
Any more detail (even little ones) can be useful in diagnosing the problem.
Thanks,
-Bill

  • Edit Microsoft Sharepoint Meta Tags of PDF File inside Adobe Acrobat

    Hi,
we are using in our company Microsoft Sharepoint for Document Management. In this System we have several Document Libraries where we upload our PDF Files.
In Microsoft Office 2007 it is possible to change the Meta Data of a Office File directly inside e.g. Word. This is very handy for the user, cause he is able to read or change his document and make changes to the meta tags at the same time.
    Now my question:
Is it possible (perhaps with an 3rd Party AddIn) to show a "Panel" inside Adobe Acrobat which shows these Sharepoint Meta Tags and makes it possible to change these?
    regards

I have just updated Acrobat to version 10.1.13. I am using a MAC Running Yosemite.  When I try to scan a document, after the printer scans Adobe Acrobat quits and I get an unexpected closure error.  I am running Mac OS 10.10.1.  This only started happening when I installed the update of Adobe Acrobat.

    Hi MEW1,
Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

  • Disable Mouse Right click inside Adobe Acrobat PDF plugin

    Hi All,
We are rendering Adobe live cycle pdf file inside html object tag.
I have disabled toolbar , navigation bar using navpanes=0&toolbar=0.
But when mouse right click reenable the context menu again.
So Is there any way to disable mouse righ click inside Adobe Acrobat PDF browser plugin?

I had the same problem after updating Firefox to version 4.0 and Acrobat Reader to Version X. For me (Win XP) what solve the problem was deleting the Acrobat Reader Plugin (nppdf32.dll) in the Firefox plugin folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins). So now there is only one Acrobat Reader Plugin left namely the one in the Acrobat Reader plugin folder (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\Browser).

  • How to remove reserved content on adobe acrobat pro 8

how can i remove reserved content on adobe acrobat pro 8

If the camera burns in the date/time stamp, then there is not much that can be done.
If you need to eliminate that, then the best would be to apply the Effect>Motion>Scale, to enlarge the footage, until the date/time stamp is effectively cropped off by the Frame Size. You might want to look into Effect>Motion>Position, to "move" the date/time stamp closer to an edge.
The other method is tedious, and requires ideally Adobe AfterEffects. There, you could use the Clone Tool, to "paint out" the date/time stamp, if there is enough clean background to do so.
A variation on that method would be to Export/Share as a Filmstrip and Import that into Photoshop (if one had Photoshop Extended, there are other formats, that would work too), and then Frame by Frame, use the Clone Tool to remove that image.
Though not a way to remove it, you can also replace it with a Title, that occupies the area of the date/time stamp, and just cover it up.
If the camera allows you to turn that "feature" OFF, you would want to do so for newer footage.
Good luck, and sorry for the bad news.

  • Unable to save a document after signing it in Adobe Acrobat Standard XI.

I have a user who is unable to save .PDF files that he is opening in Outlook via an embedded link in the email.
When he clicks on the link, Acrobat opens the document without issue. However, when he applies his signature and goes to save it over the existing document on our internal network file server, he gets the following message: "The document could be saved. The disk you were saving to or the disk used for temporary files is full. Free some space on this disk and try again, or save to a different disk."
The network drive has a significant amount of space available, at least 500 gigs.
This was not an issue up until Friday of last week. Prior to Friday, he had no issue signing documents emailed to him that contained a embedded link pointing back to the file on our internal network file server.  If I have him browse directly to the file in Windows Explorer however, he can open sign the document and overwrite the existing copy.  While that works, I would like him to regain the ability to save his file after opening it from his email; as unless I show him how to get to the file directly via Explorer, he is unable to do so. (And he has to sign many documents a day as well)
Other users on my network are not encountering this issue, however some are running a different mix of Office and Acrobat. (Such as Office 2010  and Acrobat X, etc)
I've researched this issue for prior versions of Acrobat and tried to applied the same resolutions for this issue without a positive result. So far I have been unable to find any solutions for this issue dealing with XI.
Has anyone else run ino this issue with Acrobat Standard XI? If so what did you do to resolve the issue? Thank you for any help that you can give me.
Here is the basic setup that his computer is running:
    Windows 7 Profesional 64 bit
    Microsoft Office 2013 Professional
    Adobe Acrobat Standard XI
    Internet Explorer 9
Also my user is has full Admin rights to his workstation and has the appropriate security rights to the folders he is trying to save the signed document to.

I would like to confirm the exact same message is happening with us.
Several users have been receiving the error message shown below when trying to save PDF’s to their desktop or other server.
We are experiencing the issue with earlier versions of Acrobat (8 & 9) as well.
This is only started happening this week?

  • How do i convert a pdf document to ms word with adobe acrobat x standard?

I purchased adobe acrobat x standard so as to convert pdf documents into ms word and excel. When I try to convert docments it asks me to purchase another adobe product.

The ability to export a PDF file to Word or Excel is part of Acrobat X Std. as detailed in this comparison chart. It sounds like you might actually have Adobe Reader X open instead of Acrobat X Std because Reader has the command File > Save As > Word or Excel Online. This partcular command in Reader links to the ExportPDF online service.

    How can i achieve that?
loading the content in an IFrame using Go URL didn't work? Im also  dont want to that.
I tried sending request to the GO URL via jQuery AJAX. But it didnt Help.
I have tried also sending request to GO URL via Apache HTTP client to get the response content. But OBIEE server returned the following response
"Your browser is not supported by Oracle BI Presentation Services"
Any Help in this is appreciated?

The service WCM_PLACEHOLDER can not use JSPX templates (because it can only evaluate them as UCM can evaluate and UCM cannot evaluate the JSPX version SSXA is using).
WCM_PLACEHOLDER can work if you create an HCSP template but then you only have access to Idoc Script and not JSPX.
This is my understanding. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

  • Displaying PDF content in Adobe Air 3.2

    Hi all,
I'm trying to render a locally stored sample pdf using Air 3.2 on Win7 64bit.
I'm not getting any error messages and I'm pretty sure the content is being loaded.. but the actual content of the pdf is not displayed when I add it to the stage.
I just get a white screen in the app.
I haven't explicitly scaled or rotated the content, just set the width and height of the html component as directed in the livedocs.
    Dan

    Solved.
For some reason I couldn't access the HTMLLoader object outside of the function that initialised it, despite the fact that I was listening for EVENT_COMPLETE.
Basically, to get round this bug, just put all the initialise and load code in the same function and you should be laughing.

  • PDF documents will not open in Adobe Acrobat 5

I have one computer with XP running Acrobat 5. I now have a second computer running Windows 7 with Acrobat 9 Pro.  When I take PDF documents from the computer with Acrobat 9 Pro to the one with Acrobat 5, the PDF docs will not open - an error message states the file is corrupted.  Why is this hapening and how can it be fixed?
Thanks for any assistance - confused.

#1 - The files were moved using a thumb/USB drive and "Safely Remove" was used.
#2 - You may be on to something here for some: Some were created by AA9 but some others were scanned in and some were from AA8 that I had no trouble before.
#3 - The only "special feature" is that the PDF files are searchable and some are a PDF of an image.
    These are basic PDF files.
    Thanks for your assistance

  • WPC Content inside Dynamic Navigaiton

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement, where I need to display WPC content inside Dynamic Navigation. We are using NW Portal 7.4 SP 8
I am using the below approach to display WPC content in content area as well as dynamic navigaiton. With the below mentioned approach, I am able to reterive content on Content Area and not in Dynamic Navigation.
    1. Use the iView (Portal Applications à com.sap.nw.pcc.mgr à default ) inside the page, on the required area (content / dynamic ) navigaiton.
    2. Provided the property "Path to runtime page" with the WPC page ID on the iView. "pcd:com.sap.portal.system/pcc/rt_content/com.sap.portal.pcc/StagingAreaId".
Please let me know, if its possible to display WPC content in Dynamic Navigation.

  • Why is the validity of my digitally signed document displayed as unknown?

Why is the validity of my digitally signed document displayed as unknown?
    Adobe X version 10 1.4
What exactly do I have to do under Preferences-Windows Integration?

    Hi amyemia,
The signer's identity is unknown because it has not been included in the list of trusted identities and none or its parent certificates are trusted identities" indicates your recipients needs to add something to their copy of Acrobat/Reader. What the recipient of the document is missing is a certificate and only you can provide him with a copy of the certificate you created to sign the PDF. After you send him or make available a copy of the certificate, then he will need to import that certificate into his copy of Acrobat
    Please refer : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/validity-digital-signature-displayed-unknown.html
If you want your PDF signature to be valid on your / co-worker's computer, you need to supply them with your Public certificate. To do this you need to export it out as an .fdf file, if in Acrobat X, choose Edit – Protection – Security Settings, select your ID that you used to sign the PDF with and choose Export, you can then either save it to disk, or directly email your certificate, get your co-worker to double click it in Adobe Reader and follow the prompt, when you see Set Contact Trust, select it and check Use Certificate as Trusted Root. Then click OK. Now open the PDF and it should now be valid.

  • Variables and Actions in Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro

    Hello Gurus,
I have been searching different forums around the net for three days, so I am really frustrated since I cant find anything related to this, and I am even thinking if this is really possible.
I'll try to explain what I wanted to make. I am using Captivate 4 and publishing my content through Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro server. I want to use this "Variables and Actions" Feature of my current version of Captivate. Now, I want that when my user open a training which she is enrolled with, I want her name to appear on the content, like "Hello Irish" something like that, without requiring her to log on her name. How could I make use this variables and actions in captivate 4 to get automatically the "first-name" variable of my user in Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro of my user?
    Is this possible guys?
    Thanks.
    Troy

    Hi,
I am looking at Connect Pro right now, and as I can see it on its default page it displays the name and lastname of the logged user, moreover, there is a part where you could either invite existing user, or create existing user, as mentioned in this link: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AcrobatConnectPro/7.5/Using/WS5C856274-D671-4665-9CD0-29868C89 60F2.html so I am thinking If maybe there could be a way where I can retrieve the "first-name"of the user through Variables and Actions of Captivate. Since I am trying to avoid prompting the user to type in their first names, I wish to do automatically, that is if it possible.
    Thanks.
    Troy

  • EDIT ADOBE ACROBAT PDF

Hello! I have an old Adobe Acrobat file that I read in Adobe Reader 9.5.  I need to edit this document and I have a Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription online.
I'm trying to open up this PDF so I can change the cover and other information inside the file but I don't seem to be having any luck. Any help is
    appreciated.

    There is no "online" Acrobat.
Yes, one can have a license via subscription.
However, Acrobat is a desktop application and to use it you must have it installed on your computer/laptop/netbook.
PDF (the file format / technology) does not support word processor like "editing" - see the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1).
PDF can tolerate Minor Touchups. Acrobat Pro sets the benchmark for this.
However, "touchup" and "edit" are not the same.
Fundamentally what you want to be doing is to work the authoring file(s) from which you got the PDF.
If the file(s) are not available use Acrobat or an Adobe online service to export the PDF page content to a TXT, RTF, DOC or DOCX file.
Expect to do clean up of the exported content then do "edits" and output a fresh PDF.
    Be well...
