Poor Elgato results w/ 30" HD Display??

I have an Elgato 200 unit hooked to my G5 (dual 2.7, so plenty of power) with 30" HD display.
Though the Elgato unit works "ok", the picture quality is quite poor. I've thought that perhaps it's the same issue as when a non-HD signal is coming into my Plasma in the family room, but am seeking feedback to identify if I may have a setting that I can adjust to improve this.
I had been told by Elgato that I should get "at least" DVD quality, but it is not close to that. If I put a DVD into my PowerMac and play it, I get DVD quality and it looks good, so I know the 30" display can handle a "DVD-like" signal and produce a good picture.
Does anyone have experience and input that may help me here? Thanks!

I have a similar setup EyeTV 200 w/23" Apple Cinema Display. I'm going to assume your talking about viewing at full screen and that your feeding it a cable signal.
The quality your getting is normal. I never expected to view a cable source on this display with excellent results. I watch EyeTV at the Normal Size. You can't get DVD quality unless you put DVD quality in. Your comparison to your Plasma is exactly what is happening here.
I also have an EyeHome connected to a 32" Sony XBR HDTV. Watching recordings from the EyeTV 200 streamed to the EyeHome produces a very good picture. I would assume that watching the EyeHome on a standard definition TV would produce even better results.

Displaying report output in email body is not available as a standard feature. Also doing a custom development would be very cumbersome .

How to configure search results web part to display results only after a query is generated from user?

Hi All,
I am crawling documents from a file server. I created a new content source and crawled the documents. All documents are crawled successfully.
Then I went to my enterprise search center site collection and created a new result source. I have added the query to use above content source.
After that, on a page I am trying to configure the search results web part to display documents using this result source. Now the problem is:
It displays all the documents that are crawled without searching for anything. I mean first it should not display any results. If a user searches for something , then according to that search it should display results.
Any idea how to do this in the web part? I am using SharePoint 2013 on premise enterprise edition. No code. Totally OOTB.

What did you use for the Query text in the result source?
I could reproduce this issue when I used Query text like: {searchTerms} Path:”http://sps2k13sp/sites/First/Shared%20Documents”
Then I changed the Query to
{?{searchTerms}
Path:"http://sps2k13sp/sites/First/Shared%20Documents"}
, then Search result web part didn’t return results without searching.
So , check your result source, and use the Query like the above(adding "{?...}").

hello im just wondering how i can set the numebr of results that can be dispaleyd on the jsp, when the there are more than 5 results i want the suer to press more

and also how can i get results from the query displayed as select list options, so that when they press one of teh results it goes to correspnding page

We have a peculiar problem in SAP, MRP list MD05 not displyaing results where as MD04 displays results.

MD05 displays the results of the last MRP run,where in you will be able to see the stock,requirements and receipts that was
available during the output of MRP.It's a static one and changes after every MRP run.
MD04 - stock/requirements list displays the newly created requirements,stock on that time.It's dynamic one.

Results view does not display any data

Hi
Every time I execute a query in the sql worksheet, I do not see anything in the results view. I only see the ouput in the output script folder. The output script view display is just like the usual sqlplus screen results. I want to look at the results in a table format that is suppose to be displayed in the results view.I used F5 and F9 to execute the query.
Can anyone tell me why this is so?
Example below is what I see in the output script view, when I run the query below.

It works for me, when I use F9. Ensure you select the statement (unless it's the only statement) then press F9, or click the triangle button.
I guess it makes sense for F5, or execute script, to not show a table as there may be many selects, and other statements, in a script and there is no specific return value from a script.

Overall result in Query designer displaying ' * ' for one kf when executing

I have a got a kf in which value ' * ' is getting displayed when i have done display overall results for one of my chars. Now what i am hoping is that this can be because there are too many records in the display and the total is too huge and that is the reason it is disaplying * in it. Please can somone guide me if there is some setting that can be done

Hi Tom,
This is because you have different unit or currency in the data record and you can not sum it if they are different unit/Currency therefore system is showing you *.
You can try NODIM(KF) and see if it is adding or try currency or unit conversion at query level so that all records in the query have same unit/currency.

Access query strings in a search results page with custom display template

am trying to create a custom display template in my search results page , so i went to download the itemdefault html file and renamed it and saved as different file.and am started to updating.
the issue i am facing here is : in my search results page there are 2 query strings, which are passed by anotehr .net appln[ another asp.net appln will be sending the query string to my sp 2013 search results page]
but, how can i read these 2 query strings using jslink and new token _#- ?

when i run the page , i a getting the query string value as undefined! though the custom javascript is getting called.

Query Result in the APD displaying zeros insted of values

Hi Experts,
I am working on APD Concept i am using 2 querys as source and trying to feed the result of these querys result into a transactional ODS.
My problem in the query i have used formula variables for calculation in the columns under key figure structure.
in the bex analyzed it is giving the right results like
100,000.00
0.00
100,000.00
0.10
0.10
when i keep this query in the APD and checked the data by right clicking it is giving the results like :
0,0000000000000000E+00
1,0000000000000000E+12
1,0000000000000000E+00
1,0000000000000000E+12

Pl.Let me know whether we can use the formula variables for calculation in query whcih is going to used in APD.
this is urgent for me pl. give me some idea if any b'dy faced such situation.

Analyze in which layer the differences occur. At every level of the above layers, you have the option of displaying the data as a test. Check in which layer the data no longer corresponds. Proceed as follows:
Use Transaction RSCRM_BAPI to display the data on the OLAP BAPI layer.
If the data is correct -> this is a program error in the analysis process. Continue with step 2.
If the data is incorrect, continue with step 4.
2. The query used contains hidden key figures
Yes -> see Note 792671.
3. Is the query execution partitioned?
Yes -> see Note 914782
No -> create a problem message under the BW-EI-APD component.
4. Use Transaction RSRT2 to display the data from the OLAP processor layer.
If the data is still incorrect -> check the normal execution of the query again. If there are still differences, this may be due to a program error in the Business Explorer, and you should create a problem message.
If the data is correct -> this is probably a problem in the OLAP BAPI layer.

Why i need like this because am exporting to Excel spread sheet and i have to send as i show above ....i am doing manual but the file is very big like 95, 969 records i have to change manual...like this i have to change 8 files.

that'S exactly what hide repeated key values does. If this option is on your result is:

If you turn it off, the result will be:

Poor printing results

Pesky problem: prints too dark and colors lack saturation.
Have been printing on an Epson Artisan 50 with good results. Have added a new R2880. Both print with the same poor results NOW.
Use OS Mavericks, a 2-year-old iMac calibrated with Color Munki, custom ICC profiles for both printers, and PS 2014. Workroom is fairly dark with medium tan walls and 2 ‘Ott’ lights behind monitor.
Have made the following adjustments to see if I can find a solution:
•   With monitor have tried luminance of 80 and 120.
•   With monitor have tried white points of 55 and 65.
•   Have let PS and printer handle color.
•   Have converted color space from ProPhoto to sRGB and back again.
•   Have used 2 different packs of Epson Luster- both new.
I do view prints under the daylight corrected Ott lights and I take them outside in the sunlight to see if they're dark. And they still are! Wondering if somewhere I’m making a simple rookie mistake? I’ve followed both J. Schewe’s and the Digital Dog’s instructions as best I know how. How do you check that the driver settings are correctly configured? How do you check the output profile setting?
Any help is much appreciated.

Aperture really wants to manage colour during printing.
One common problem seems to be having your printer (driver) set to colour management, and then Aperture doing it as well. (This is probably not the only problem...)
One of the O'Reilly Inside Aperture Podcasts, with Joe Schorr, covers this very issue.

Only overall result need tp be displayed after query execution

Hello Everyone,
                                    I am requirement on query analysis " OVERALL RESULTS". The scenario is explained below.
                            I am dealing with BW HR Reporting. Now if i execute the query from 2008. 01 to 2008 03. The Result will be displayed for 2008.01, 2008.02, 2008.03. and atlast the overall result. The requirement is , after executing the query for the calday 2008.01. to 2008.03 , i need to get only the OVERALL RESULT". The details of the individauls months will be taken care at the jump target level.
                           Can somebody give th inputs from your end, so that only the overall results will be displayed.

Query Result pane - disabling tooltip display of LOB data

In the query result pane of SQL Developer, if a column is too long for the display (typically, in my case, for a CLOB column) and you hover the mouse over the column data, a tooltip showing the full value appears.
For an example, do "select sql_fulltext from v$sql where rownum < 3" and hover the mouse over one of the values in the SQL_FULLTEXT column.
In our application we typically query a table with a large CLOB column, and the tooltip fills the whole screen. This is a pain if you just leave your mouse on the screen somewhere over a CLOB column while typing :-( I've looked for a way to switch off this tooltip, but haven't managed to find one. Can anyone point me at a way of doing so? Unfortunately, I'm running SQL Developer 2.1.1, but even a response along the lines of "you can only do this in 3.0 and later, and this is how" would be useful, as it might help me argue for an upgrade.

Hi Paul,
Actually versions 3.0 and 3.1 have a very nice UI (Tools | Preferences | Mouseover Popups) to control this sort of thing, but unfortunately the settings seem only applicable to the debugger.
You might consider making a feature request for this on the SQL Developer Exchange.

Yes you can do this by adding search box and search result webpart on Document library Allitems.aspx.You can set scope of search result as document library only.

Poor Benchmark results - WHY PLEASE??

Can anyone help me with why I get a poor set of 3D Mark 2001se (330) results:7250 ???
The first purchase was a Nvidia GF4 Ti4200 XFX 128mb DDR. I initially tried this in my ECS K7S5A machine, and the benchmark result was just off 9000. Not Bad!
Then I purchase a MSI K7N2G-ILSR. I also upgrade the CPU from 1.4 T/Bird to 2.4XP
I spend weeks trying to get the VGA Drivers to install along with the nForce2 system drivers.
I've now updated the bios to V1.2, this I think was the main problem with the GF4. Although, when installing VGA and System drivers, I have to select each item from the device manager and individually update drivers. I wonder if the MOBO VGA need to be disabled somehow???
System Specs:
MSI K7N2G-ILSR
AMD Athlon XP PR2400+ Thoroughbred
Nvidia GF4 Ti4200 XFX 128MB DDR
512MB 333DDR (Nanya)
80GB WD Caviar (partitioned 20/10/50)
550W Q-tec PSU (I know - cheap !!!)
Volcano 9 HSF (Antec Silver Thermal Compound)
Win XP-PRO (SP.1)
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Update the motherboard and Vid card to the latest nVidia Drivers from the nVidia website.
Set the CPU to RAM Ratio to 1:1.
Tweak the drivers and see what scores you get.
