Poor full screen display quality

I am in a dual-display environment. One display I have set up as a full-screen display for images as I edit them in Aperture. They show up in a dismally poor quality; a grid-like low resolution. When I zoom in on them, the issue goes away. It's just when an image is displayed in its entirety. This is a 20" Cinema display. Note that there is no display quality issue with Photoshop. Thanks.

I have been noticing that the same image in different programes does look different, colour and tone.. Now I understand that as each programe reads the data differently. BUT with Aperture I have noticed this is the case within aperture and this is crazy.
The photo is different in the loupe again different in the full frame version and yet again with in the grid. So when using the loupe is it possible to compare images enlarged from the grid and so on! and on. and the exported images look diferent again when viewed...
Strange as it is all on one monitor!
Or am I the only one to notice this?

Did you purchase the ringtone or make it yourself by taking an excerpt from a song?
If taking an excerpt from a song, it must be 30 sec or less. Once you get the 30 sec clip, you have to create an AAC version of the clip. Open the folder with the AAC version of the clip and change the file extension to .m4r I believe. Then double click the new file and it will automatically be loaded in the "tones" folder. You can then open the "tones" folder in iTunes and drag it to your iPhone which is connected to iTunes on your computer.

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

MacBook Air Full Screen Display

Why does my MacBook Air not go full screen when the display is set at 1440 x 900? I have to set the display at 1024 x 640 to get a full screen display. Thanks.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of your issue. Depending on your model of MacBook Air (post-2010), the native fullscreen resolution should be 1440 by 900 (16:10 aspect ratio) for the 13 inch and 1366 by 768 (16:9 aspect ratio) for the 11 inch. DVD full screen resolution quality

Please advise if I am in the wrong forum. When I play pre-recorded DVD's at full screen, the quality is not what I anticipated. I would have thought tht the video card that comes with the iMac could produce high resolution movies.
I have a new iMac 20" G5

DVDs are designed to be viewed on TV sets, which for NTSC are around 640x480 pixels. Your computer monitor has a lot more pixels - blowing a 640x480 pixel image up to full screen on a computer monitor can be a 'quality' problem.

Full-screen preview quality is poor?

I'm importing a VCR tape using an ADVC300 so I've got about the best quality import I could have into iMovie 09. But, when I preview full screen, it looks pretty horrible. Is the preview set to a lower quality than the DV file is if I'm exporting to DVD?

Full Screen display of iSight or other video camera input

Ok - I've looked at iMovie and iChat and PhotoBooth - all the built in software to solve this fairly basic but maybe slightly odd need. I want to dedicate my display to show the camera video input. How can I do that full screen - not just in a window?
The need is that for video conferencing with WebEx - the video feed is low quality and it would be useful at times for the presenter to share higher resolution video. I can almost do this with iChat - I aim the camera at the source, and then use the iChat preview and then use "share desktop" with WebEx. Voila - relatively high resolution video. Yes, it's one way - but it's still really useful for some situations.
But the preview won't go full screen. Is there a MacBook app that will show the video input full screen?

Displaying it 'full screen' especially in an older MBP (which is what you have if you're posting in the correct forum) would result in a horribly pixelated image, not 'high resolution'. The apps that show the iSight feed are showing it at its native resolution, and that's a limitation of the hardware. If you need higher resolution, you can attach a higher resolution video camera (for example, my Panasonic DV camcorder connects via FireWire and can be used as a webcam).

FULL SCREEN DISPLAY problema

I've written my first code for J2ME MIDP. I'm learning about paint method of Canvas class.
I put below code in the paint method:

When I ran that application on my SE K700i, I can see the information of the width and height of the display screen, that is "W=176 H=176".
But when I ran it on my brother's Nokia 3660, I got "W=176" and "H=144".
Last, I ran it on my sister's Nokia 6610, I got only "W=128" and "H=96".
My questions are:
- Can I set it to a defined size, so when we ran it on any types of devices, we get the same size of display screen?
- There is a panel on top of the screen that show the battery and signal indicators, and one on bottom of the screen for command action. Can I set the application ran FULL SCREEN (no any panels)?

Hi,
There are no standard methods available for scaling images.
But, when you are using TiledLayers and moving Sprites, then you just can keep the images the same. On a phone that has a large screen, you just 'see' more of the game. When you're using a phone that has a smaller screen, then you just 'see' less of the game screen.
There are tutorials and other documents available on the web describing the creation of games using TiledLayer, Sprite and GameCanvas.
But, don't use (create) images that are as large as your screen. It will cause an attack on your device's heap memory and it will introduce inconvenient problems when running the game on different devices with different screensizes...

HT204291 How to get full screen display in AirPlay mirroring on Apple TV?

I am using airplay from my iPad (new). Mirroring doe not utilize 100% of my screen width. There is always 3 inches of screen initialized on either side.
I tried using all the screen resolution of video in settings it does not help. Ting to note is that the problem is occurring only for mirroring. If I play videos directly in YouTube on Apple TV I get full display. Any reason how to resolve this to achieve full screen and 100% Mirroring?

No there is no way to Mirror full screen from an iOS device to the Apple TV. iOS devices are not 16:9 like your HDTV so the mirrored image appears as the size your iOS device would be if it were the size of your TV. Hope that makes sense.

Accessing "full screen" display using flash_Snapfish slide show

I use Adobe Bridge 1.0 for sorting, selecting, and keywording digital photos. It's nice to be able to change the user interface in several ways to accommodate to the task at hand ... but I am desperately missing a way to magnify an image quickly (usually to check a photo's sharpness). Currently I have to jump to Photoshop which is time-consuming, memory-consuming, and dramatically oversized for just taking a quick look-see at the photo's focus.

How do I get back to default screen display after clicking View/Full Screen Display?

After I click View/Full Screen on the Firefox menu bar, I lose the main FF Menu bar. When I hit the esc key, the screen remains locked in full screen view mode. Then I have to reboot my computer to get back to the default FF menu and display mode.
Why doesn't the esc key work the way it works when I'm viewing videos in full screen mode?

Could anyone tell to me if I can get a video PODcast to play full screen video on a 5G video iPOD? I can get itunes to play it almost full screen on the computer display (Apple 20 inch LCD). I can size the screen to get a clear picture. Any such options on the iPOD?

Please! Safari Full Screen Display Help..

Ok, I know the top right corner arrow box will open it to full screen, but my concern is getting the website to actually fill the full screen. Right now in full screen mode I've got Grey boxes on both sides of the website, so while it looks full screen, it's only displayed in the center of the screen. I'm new to Macs, but I've gotta think this is something that's possible. Any advice, or am I just out of luck using my full 27" screen? I'm ok with the top address bar, i just want the website to display larger!! ;-)

Full screen displays menu even after call to setUndecorated(true)

I am trying to implement a full screen mode for my application. It still displays the menu in Windows, and in mac if I don't set apple.laf.useScreenMenuBar to true, even if I call setUndecorated(true).
How do I hide that menu bar? I tried removing it, but then I lose my menu hotkey to toggle out of fullscreen.

Can't get a full screen display for keynote or movies.

The deck or movie only displays a smaller section on the center of the screen with a thick black border. It used to display full screen, I don't know when it changed.

I don't remember those arrows in 10.6, only 10.7 & up!?
I have 10.6.8, as you do. To make your Safari full screen, make sure you have the left hand side of your safari page moved all the way to the left. Then move your cursor to the BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER of the safari page, and simply drag your page towards the lower right hand corner of the screen. NOTE: you will see a series of lines on the bottom right corner of the page, indicating where to place you cursor arrow.
