Poor Internet Connection/Have to keep resetting the modem

For the past two months our internet service has been terrible. I've had numerous phone calls with Verizon tech support and had two technicians visit our house. Needless to say, after all new wiring in our house, updating the lines outside our house, and a new modem I still have to reset the modem several times a day and then when the internet does work it is extremely slow. The technician said my house and my neighbor's house don't even show on the grid for our local Verizon office and that the problem is somewhere between our road and their office........so how does that get fixed? Apparently the lines are too busy and it just keeps kicking us off. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? I work part time from home and rely on my internet service. I also don't have the time to contact Verizon every single day! Help!

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

Okay now this description was pretty vague but it could be a few things. First thing to try. Turn wifi off and then one again and try to connect. If this fails read on.
The second step is to select that network in the wifi settings so you get an expanded menu of it. Follow these steps from the home menu on your ipad... Okay, so now you really know it's most likely not your ipad, so go on down to your wifi router and turn it off, wait ten seconds, turn it on again. WITH YOUR IPAD OFF. Then turn on your ipad on and then try to connect again. If this fails... Then you'll have to do some more complex things. You could try setting up the network again. IF that fails too. Leave some details about your router, brand, year etc... And I'll try to let you know what else it could be.

Have to keep resetting the service number

I have got a new i phone 4s and my old i phone 3 number was transfered over to my micro sim in store, the problem I am having is ever day I have to reset the service number as it keep going back to a pay monthly one and im on pay as you go. is there any ideas on what to do

If there is, I haven't found it. Every couple of days I toggle the setting off and on to get it to work again and it lasts for two or three more days, then I repeat the process. I have reset all settings and restored my iPad and I still can't get to work reliably.

I have Comcast internet, my roommates PC (with viruses) runs at the speed of light while my iMac struggles. My iMac worked fine on other internet connections before we got our own internet. I've reset the modem, cleaned my Mac, still nothing helps!

everytime I try to open the store it endlessly says "accessing iTunes store" but it never opens.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

What Carolyn says is correct. You can, however, share an Internet connection with your iPhone wirelessly by turning in Internet sharing (found in System Preferences > Sharing.) If your MacBook Pro is already using a wireless connection, you can just connect to the same wireless network it is using.

- Sure sounds like the headphone jack is defective and requires replacement. Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack first.

Iphone 4s freezing at start up then shuts off and keeps restarting then repeating that process over and over. I have tried to reset the phone two different ways and still this problem occurs after I update it or turn off the phone.

yes the title says most of what is going on.
I recently reset my phone, losing all contacts and pictures. It was working fine, then after I updated it, it will not turn on completely.
It starts up with the apple logo
-goes to the ios 6 (please slide to open) screen
-then shuts off
-and repeats the process unless I shut the phone off manually
I have tried to hold the lock and the home button down to manually reset the phone
I have also tried reseting the phone completely previously, and I still have this problem.

I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen.

Poor internet connectivity through WRT160N

I bought and installed a WRT160N v.3 router about 3 months ago and all was fine. Recently, however, very poor internet connectivity has been experienced from my other 2 computers connected via wireless. Last night I upgraded the firmware (actuallly Linksys tech) and it appeared at first to fix the problem. Unfortunately, it didn't. The same problem continues on both computers. I have since done a hard reset and started from default parameters, but that didn't help either.
This appears to be a common problem, but I haven't seen a complete fix.
I have a Comcast cable internet connection and a speed test done on the hardwired computer gives the expected download/upload speeds (~20MBps and 8 MBps). Through the wireless connection to the WRT160N is another story. Speeds are less than 0.5MB!
Any suggestions???

Well, I think I solved my problem. I had the router set-up with WEP encryption and was getting very poor internet connections on my wireless PCs. After trying a miriad of fixes found on this site and others, I decided to go to a unprotected network set-up. I was amazed to see my wireless connectivty jump to the expected speeds for my Comcast cable connection.
Has anyone heard of WEP causing a slowdown in connectivity?
Guess I will try the other security set-ups to see if I can get fast connectivity and a secure network.

Avoided poor internet connection

Just bought an Android phone and it doesn't connect to my WOW network wifi. Very shortly after saying it is connected, it comes back with the message: "Avoided poor internet connection." I do not have this problem with any of my other wifi connected devices: iPhones, iPad, Dell laptops, TVs, ...

Do you have smart wifi enabled? It will use OTA data if it detects a weak wifi signal versus cellular service. Turning it off forces the use of wifi, no matter the signal strength.

Having trouble to keep internet connection constant, airport keep diconnect

I just re-install my Mac Os 10.5.2 after 1 year of using my Mac book. Since the re-installation, my airport has become very unstable, it connect to the internet for a few minute then disconnect, i have try to reset the "SMC", but the problem is still here.
Before the re-installation, the airport was also disconnecting but more rarely than now.
The time the airport remain connected is between 1 to 4 minutes, then disconnect.
To use internet after it disconnect, I have to switch off the airport then on again, used for another minutes then again back to on/off process.
I would like to have some hints how to solve the problem permanently . Thanks
