Poor quality image with doing videos with photos/images HELP!

Hello,
I bought Adobe Premiere Element to make videos with pictures. When I do the video, the quality of my photos is good. When I save the video on my computer or I download it on youtube (example) the quality of my photos is extremely poor. Why? Does anyone can help me? Thank you!

What Project Preset did you choose at New Project? In the case of Video, composed of Still Images ONLY, you would set that to your desired delivery specs. Not so, if you are also using Video.  I tried several types of parameters. Some parameters give poor quality when I upload it to Youtube (for example) and others in the design of video and upload to YouTube. So which settings should I use for photos only ?
This sounds like you are talking about the Export/Share settings for output to YouTube.
What I was asking is what did you start off with, when you were at New Project?
If you are doing an SD Project, you will have either 720 x 480 (NTSC), or 720 x 576 (PAL) pixels in the Project's Frame Size. If that is what you want, then I would Scale your camera original Stills to 640 x 480 (for NTSC), as you have Square Pixels, and the Project will have either 0.9 for NTSC Standard, or 1.21 for NTSC Widescreen).
PrE can Scale the Still Images, but the Scaling algorithms in Photoshop are much better, and offer more control.
Now, if you wish to do an HD Project, just choose that as your Preset, and then use the Images in about their original size. Note, there will be some black borders, as the screen-caps most likely have a different Aspect Ratio, than a Video Project, which for HD will be 16:9. Especially with screen-caps, that are pretty low resolution to begin with, I would NOT do any Scaling, and would live with the letterboxing, or pillar boxing, rather than Scale and effectively Crop.
Also, when Scaling in Photoshop, I do not Save_As JPEG, as it introduces compression, but only as either PSD (Photoshop's native format), or PNG.
Good luck,
Hunt

    Hi Brian
You can batch process a set of prepared slides from Full Edit (see image) using:
    File >> Process Multiple Files
In the PMF dialog you can choose filename, date, or description (caption)
Make sure you choose a separate destination folder to your source folder so as tot to permanently overwrite your originals.

  • Problem with xvid videos with two audio streams

    / Hi,
recently I purchased a Creative Zen X-FI2, it is working perfectly, but I only have one problem, I have some videos xvid with two audio streams (mpga), on VLC I can select either of the two audio streams but I haven't found if I can select the audio stream on the Zen player.
Does anyone knows how to select among different audio streams on a video?

The X-Fi2 doesn't have such an option.
If you still want to be able to watch the video with the second audio stream, I think the only possibility is to re-encode it using the second audiostream (or disable the first).

  • How to deal with Prores video in Premiere? ---Help!!!

    Hi All,
I got the MOV source file from my customer that is ecoded in Prores 422. I think the source is edited in FCP and the quality is quite good because it is 2.5G only for two minutes video.
But I have problem with exporting the Quicktime video with Prores 422 codec. I search all the related content in internet but could not find the correct answer. I could not select the Prores codec when exporting. And I also installed the FCP in my MAC and also tried to download the latest Prores codec for MAC but it is not available either. How can enable the prores codec when exporting?  BTW, I am using the trial version for Premiere CS5.5 and FCP. I hope it is not related to the trial version.
    I also tried another workarounds:
    1. import the mov file
    2. add subtitle and exporting with Animation/None codec
I know the output will be huge(more than 10G) because it is uncompressive. But it seems the output playing fps is unstable so that the movie sucks at some time and it is obviously unacceptable.
But when I change the codec to Apple intermedia and the output is not bad. But the file size is only 700M.
Any one could suggest a work folw for HD mov to high quality quick time output? My understanding is to use the sam codec as the source, correct?
    Appreciate any help.

  • X300 with Distorted Video With USB Port Replicator

I have 2 X300s using the enhanced port replicators. The video on these two machines were fine for the last 2 months until last week. The video is distorted while connected to the VGA port on the replicator, but fine when connected to the onboard video. I replaced the port replicators and that seem to resolve the issue for day but the distorted video came back. Has anyone encountered this and is there fix? Both machines are on XP.

    Hello Rudi,
Thank you so much for the reply.
We tried today another T440 laptop with 64bit OS and as mentioned by you, we figured out that the conflict is happening between Intel Graphics 4400 driver with USB replicator.
When I done an uninstallation of the updated Intel Graphics and the USB replicator works fine.
As the laptop will be provided to HOD, so we will be going for a purchase of a replicator with good compatibility with 64 OS and intel video card.
    Appreciate your reply.
    Good day ahead.

  • Very poor quality when importing a video done with CAMSTUDIO

    Hi,
I am using a video done in camstudio. THe source video is perfect, very sharp all excellent.
when i bring it into Priemiere CS4, the quality ebcomes horrible making it almost unviewable (for annoying)
you cans ee here the final result (horrible)
    http://vimeo.com/13357742
while the original result was awesome....
The video captures in Camstudio was full screen, the Premiere Settings where set at DV, Widescreen...but trying other settings didn't help either
    Some help please
    thank you

What frame rate did you use for the screen cap?
What frame rate did you use to process the .camrec files?
What format and codec did you use to process the .camrec files?
Do you need to show the whole screen for the whole video?  If so, you need a Pr sequence that matches the frame size of your screen cap.  If you want to zoom in to highlight certain areas of the screen, then you need a smaller frame size for your Pr sequence, but it still should have the same aspect ratio of the original capture.
Finally, your screen cap is progressive.  Make sure your Pr sequence is set to No Fields.

A few days ago, it would shoot out 7 pages or more of photos.
Then I would customize my search from there. One time, I did something that restored it to normal, but that never returned either.

  • Poor quality on multiple level video export. What am I doing wrong?

I'm having a problem with exporting a video I've been working on with FCPX.
The output file looks like it's being screened on a venetian blind with very small slats - ie the image appears to be made up a lots of narrow horizontal panels. I also get a kind of striated effect around all the edges (which I managed to eliminate in my latest attempt - see below)
The video looks fine in FCPX - it's only when I export Media that I'm seeing this problem.
The sections that I'm having this issue with consist of a background texture generator in the Timeline, and two layers of video clips above that. The video clips are resized and positioned top left and bottom right of the screen (overlapping in the centre), so that you can see two separate video clips playing over a background. At different points one or other of the clips expands to fill the whole screen.
The clips are variously original clips, compound clips, and a compound clip with slo-mo video in it.
(The reason for doing this is that it's 2 cameras following 2 separate, but simultaneous, processions. Sometimes I cut between them, but I also want to see both processions at the same time during the piece).
I've tried exporting using standard settings, Apple ProRes 244, and h.264, and I've gotten the best result so far by exporting to Compressor and using MPEG2 for DVD settings, with De-interleave turned on and giving it two passes. That got rid of the striations, but i still get the panel effect.
If I export a different section of the video, that only uses 2 layers of video (without the background generator, and with one layer of video in the Timeline), then the resulting export looks ok even with a standard settings Export Media, so I'm assuming that it's something to do with the attempt to give the images a background. This also may not be the best way to go about this, so I'm open to suggestions about _how I should do it!
If more info about how I've set up opacity etc is needed, let me know.
    thanks for any help

Editing on a Mac Mini with 8mb ram (FCPX runs faster than on my MBPro!); FCPX1.1

I'll just add that I reimported my footage, using the Optimise media settings, and exported a short clip using Export media (ProRes 244) & Compressor (ProRess244 + DeInterleave filter). Neither showed the "venetian blinds" effect, but the first export had loads of fringing, and the second had a lot less, but there was still some visible.
Anyone? Is this a bug or some kind of operator error?
    thanks

  • What is the best way to get CD quality audio in a video with fcpx.

I've been using fcpx to do everything for my videos, but the sound was...below par especially for what I want to do.
I'm looking for the most efficient way of doing thing. I've been trying to record the audio into garageband, edit the sound in there, and then export to fcpx and syncronize.
so I've started and just seemed like a lot of work and was wondering what do people normaly do for a thing like this?

As far as your workflow, that's for an audiophile to chime in. Regarding sound quality in FCPX...
Hmm... "CD quality" is 44kbps. FCPX can handle a sample rate BEYOND that (above a CD's sample rate.) FCPX deals in 48kbps.
When I record my VO, I set it to 48Khz, and a sample size of 16 bits. It sounds wholesome--good enough for my network bosses.
Admittedly, an audiophile may have to step in. But, I'm just showing you the benchmark at which FCPX begins--and it's definitely ABOVE "CD quality."

  • Extremly poor quality importing HG20 avhcd video to iMovie 8

Just bought a refurbished intel Mac Mini to do a limited amount of video production (very short videos.) Its a 1.8mhz which I dropped a 7200 rpm 320 gig drive, and maxed out the 2GB of ram, OSX 10.5.
When I import video it comes out - to say the least - very badly. Its looking compressed to the absolute maximum with big jpeg artifacts, and comes out downright psychedelic looking. You basically can't see what anything is unless it and the camera are not moving.
I managed to try it both from the camera and loading from an external hard drive. I tried both at full resolution and the reduced resolution. Same results.
Another issue is that when the video import window comes up, it does so very slowly, as in it takes about 10 minutes to expand to full size.
Any ideas? Would getting iLife 09 work better? Sadly maxed out MacPro is beyond the budget right now.

.. where or how do you judge pic quality...?
your miniDV device is meant for TV delivery.. the preview window in iM is just a preview.. your 24"er has 4 - 8 times the resolution of PAL, so watching PAL in fullscreen doesn't increase quality
or, what are your export settings for watching your project.. ?
... and if MM2 offers you a better quality, why not using it...?

  • Problems with preview video with BM ultrastudio mini monitor and AE CC 2014

    Hi,
We don´t have video preview option for BM ultrastudio mini monitor with AE CC 2014.
Anybody knows a solution for this? We have installed 10.1 drivers version of BM.
    Thanks a lot.

There is a slightly newer 10.1.1 version of drivers available from Blackmagic:
    http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support
Thanks for posting the screenshot. This shows that After Effects does not see the Mercury Transmit plug-in for Blackmagic. You should verify whether the plug-in is present:
    os drive/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/
The file will be named DeckLinkTransmit.bundle, or something similar.
If the file is present, try uninstalling and reinstalling the (latest version of) Blackmagic drivers.
If After Effects still does not recognize the Blackmagic Mercury Transmit plug-in, open Premiere Pro CC 2014 and check Preferences > Playback, and whether or not video preview works there.

  • Troubles with MP4 Video with iTouch V2 &  iTunes V8

I'm experiencing some issues since i've upgraded my iTouch 32G to OS V2 and iTunes to V8
I can't synchronize my own mp4 video anymore.
I Can view them with iTunes on my computer
But there are not listed on my itouch... There are invisble
Did somebody has encoutered something like that ?

Not ALL MP4 can play on the iPhone (or, for that matter, any phone). MP4 supports a wide variety of resolutions and bitrates that are simply outside the capacity of the device to play back (and for that matter, you can use some MP4 features that don't apply to phone playback).
Anyway, the simple thing to do in iTunes is to select the video and then go to the Advanced menu and select "Make iPad / iPhone version" (or something like that). Then, sync.
    Sepcifically, the iPhone 4 supports:
H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
