Poor quality song downloaded - now what?

Hi Folks,
I recently purchase the worst digitized song I've heard to date through iTunes. It sounds like it was digitized from a scratched record with a dirty needle in a dusty room! The song is "Still" by Jennifer Lopez from the album "This is Me...Then".
I tried reporting it as a bug, but no response in weeks. Anyone know what I can do about it? If I'd purchased it at a store, I'd take it back...
Thanks.

It doesn't work. I get an error popup which states "An Error Occurred The iTunes Store could not process your request. Please try again later." Later never works either...
I did manage to e-mail iTunes store customer support about it at the end of February. They replied "Please do not attempt to download this song again within the next two weeks. This will give us time to resolve the issue with the title or remove it if we need to." That was 6 weeks ago but the poor quality preview is still there...

    Hey Patiencepieart!
While there is not enough information in the post about your circumstance to be able to say for sure, but here are some tips from the iTunes movie rental FAQ that may be helpful to you:
iTunes Store: Movie rental frequently asked questions (FAQ)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1657
Where can I watch my movie rental?
You can watch your movie rental on your computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch (with iOS 3.1.3 or later), iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd, 4th, or 5th generation), or on your TV using your Apple TV. You can watch HD movie rentals on your computer, iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or with Apple TV.
How many times can I view the movie?
Once you start watching your movie, you can view the rented movie as many times as you wish within the 24-hour (or 48-hour) window.
What happens to my rented movie if I don't watch it?
If you don't watch your rented movie, it will expire in 30 days and disappear from your iTunes library. You will need to rent it again in order to watch it.
Can I play my rental on more than one device?
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

Only one minute of a song downloaded.  What do I do so I am not charged again?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • White screen during mavericks download now what do I do?

While upgrading to Mavericks I got a white screen, now what do I do?

I shut down and turned it back on and it seems to continue downloading where it left off.

  • Poor Quality of downloaded songs

I recently downloaded two songs that have a digital "skipping" sound during playback. What, if any recourse do I have besides downloading them again and also paying for them again?

Go to the help menu in I tunes and where is says provide feedback click on that then on the drop down menus it gives you a choice in regards to quality issues. Last time I had a problem it took a couple of days but they did credit my account for the bad downloads.

  • Poor quality song from Itunes

  • Recovered Deleted Song Files - Now What

On Saturday night, I ventured into amateur land in a big way and inadvertently deleted my entire music library about 15gigs worth. Once you've all have had a laugh and have returned to your chairs you may be able to help me out. I've used Boomerang and recovered the files. Unfortunately, the files are now labled 1 through (in my case) around 4500. I have begun the laborious task of manually relabeling each file with the correct song title and placing them in a newly created Album folder which resides inside the artist folder (also newly created)as this is how my memory tells me Itunes does it. Is there any other way to rectify this? When I click on a file it launches in Itunes and plays correctly which has been a big help in the relabeling process. I'm guessing there is no way to import these files en masse? Does anyone have any experience with this or I am I the only clever enough to delete eight days worth of music? I relabeled the first 400 last night and it took nearly 3 hours. I'm very grateful to have my music files back but I'm hoping someone out there has some time saving magic to share. Thanks.

If it's still an MP3 file and has all the correct tag info, iTunes will rename the files and put them into Artist/Album folders based on what is in the ID3 tags.
*I'm guessing there is no way to import these files en masse?*
Drag them all onto the library icon at the top left of iTunes.

  • Can't download movie-says "file corrupted"-will not let me delete download-now what?

I ordered a movie some months ago and downloaded both the HD and standard versions.  A duplicate of both downloads appeared in the Download portion of my account.  I tried several ways to delete these but was unable so I then tried to proceed with the duplicate downloads (just to get them off the que).  I was finally able to download the standard version of the movie but when I tried to download the HD version it got almost all the way through (after 3 hours of Pause/Resume) then quit because the file was corrupted!  How can I resolve this problem?  I don't want this duplicate version anyway.  After searching through every source of info I could I am no closer to a solution.  I am operating on a Windows laptop and have current iTunes version.  I unfortunately will need very basic instructions as I am in no way computer savvy.  Any ideas would be very appreciated! Thanks.

I was receiving the same error message yesterday, which said There was a problem downloading "The Song Name / Album / Artist". The file seems to be corrupted. To redownload the file, choose "Check for Available Downloads" from the Store menu. The file tries to download five times before this error message appears.
I too, tried to find the file and delete it, but it was no where to be found.
So I gave up for that moment and tried again today and I was able to successfully download the file. Amazing how that works!!!

  • I recently purchased songs and some of them did not download to my computer but just a few seconds, all the song did not download, while other songs were perfectly fine.  How do I get the full songs downloaded now?

Some of my recently purchased songs did not fully download while other songs did.  Has anyone else had a problem like this?  Did I do something wrong?  I purchased all the same way, but only received a parcel song on about half of my purchases.  Help.....

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • I downloaded CS6 (I had to wipe my hard drive) I got (1) of (2) and (2) of (2) downloaded - NOW WHAT?  No instructions on how to install?

Anyone who can help it would be appreciated
It is is like Adobe has abandoned what they sold me in 2012

if you downloaded an exe and a 7z file, put both in the same directory and click (or double click) the exe.
any other situation, what os, what files did you download (names and extensions)?

  • Incomplete download- now what?

I downloaded The Passage from Itunes and only part 2 of the book downloaded. I am on a tight schedule and do NOT want to pay another $26 bucks to download it again. Where to turn?? I leave town tonight and if I dont have the book by then, I dont really even want it- not often I have a 14 hour car ride!

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the rest of the book there to be downloaded.
If not, contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department from their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find an "Email Us" button) and explain the problem to them. Whether they'll respond before you have to leave I don't know.
    Good luck.

When my iPod syncs, over 100 songs (much of the library, actually) no longer download.  What happened?  This used to work just fine.

This just happened to me this morning. When I left work on Friday, everything was working in iTunes. And now this morning, I open up iTunes and nothing plays. I did all the troubleshooting from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93610 and nothing helped. Anyone have any ideas???

  • HT1725 I just purchased an album, but several songs failed to completely download. Now what ???

I just purchased and downloaded an album, yet several songs only partially downloaded. Now what ?  How do I retrieve the album in it's entirety ?

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
