Poor response to faults

How can we get Bt to resond to  complaint about recently occurring V04 and now V01 errors. What are our options if Bt fail to provide the service we have paid for

Hi 304817,
Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.  I am sorry you are having problems with your BT Vision service.  I am sure we can help sort this out.
Here is a link from the BT.com help pages which gives a bit more info around the two error codes you are reporting Error message: V01 or V04.
If you have tried the help tips on this link already please drop us a reply here and I am sure we can help further.
Cheers

  • RESPONSE TO FAULTS

HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THE POOR RESPONSE TO REPAIRING TELEPHONE LINE FAULTS?
I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A PHONE CONNECTION SINCE SATURDAY. AND THE EARLIEST DATE I'M INFORMED I WILL HAVE MY LINE BACK IS THURSDAY. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

Phoned on the 16th July and explained what the fault was. I could not get incoming calls but I was getting my broadband. The advisor on the phone asked me to take the cover off the phone and do a test.  After the test he stated that I should call a private engineer as the fault was internal and not external. I contacted a private engineer who checked everything ( and I do mean everything) and concluded the fault was definitely external and that it was down to BT. I phone BT and I am told by the person on the phone that the original advisor was new, and should not have given me that advice?? I am now out of pocket £90 to the private engineer! I am told that BT cannot get someone to look at my line until the 23rd. I explain that my mother is 86, seriously ill and needs to be able to contact us if she takes a bad turn. Sorry sir, the earliest we can get someone is the 23rd? Do you call that good service? I don't.

  • Where is the responsibility for faults and failure...

My phone line was found to have intermittent noise and crackling also the speed on my broadband became very variable and It was noticed that my line profile had changed downwards. On calling bt on the landline crackles and noise were heard on the line.
The fault was reported as a voice fault on 23rd October and an appointment made for an engineer to call on 30th October.
On 30th October no engineer arrived, on calling BT (India) I spoke with at least three individuals before being told that the case had been closed. At no point was I advised that the case was closed or indeed even investigated. I had taken time off work to be at home for the visit.
I was told that the reason for the case being closed would be investigated and that someone would call me back.  I asked for a response in writing or email but was advised that this was not possible.
A new appointment was made for Tuesday 6th November this time in the afternoon 12-18:00, at approximately 17:05 a call was received from Openreach to advise that no engineer would be coming that day as he had run out of time. I asked if he would be tomorrow, to be told that that was not possible and that I could make another appointment for Friday 9th at the earliest. I was also advised that if I wanted to escalate this or find out more I would have to do so through BT.
I called BT, India again which resulted in me speaking with four individuals purporting to be a mix of advisors, supervisors and managers. The final one promised to call me back today 7th November between 12 and 1300, no call was received.
So far I have taken two days off work for BT to call, been threatened that if the problem is in my own house I will have to pay a charge and still no resolution.
The advisors, managers, supervisors have all been very “sorry”, have all “apologised” but have singularly been unable to find out quickly and accurately what is going on. They have also not called back when they have indicated they will. They (BT) are not taking any responsibility for faults or the failure to fix them.
BT blame Openreach, the customer, the isp
Openreach blame BT and the stock phase they told me Im only the messenger was actually used!
Who is working for the customer, who is able to get the faults fixed and why should they change if the only penalty is £10.00 per failed visit.

Keith, thank you for that and I will.
The call centre is one of the issues, I have always found them to be polite but as much good as a chocolate fireguard. Not because of nationality or education or indeed anything like that, its the restrictions and systems they seem to be working with.
The stock responses, the same questions time and time again, the multiple levels of "managers" who can do nothing?
The people in India are only as good as the systems they have in place. Those systems and trainers are provided by I presume BT.
Does it really take two rounds of calls to
    (1) Advisor
    (2) Supervisor
    (3) Team leader
    (4) Manager
Then a forum posting, then an email to customer care..what next a carving on a wooden stick floated down the Thames?
Even if BT care come with some answers, should I be gratefull for them? Or still angry that its taken so long and so hard to get them.
Why are BT not ashamed of their customer "service", a sales call is answered very quickly, if I dont pay my bill on time its also acted on very quickly.
BT apparently are spending billions on new fibre optic (I doubt it will go rural)
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16870464
For a fraction of this Im sure they could improve their customer service and engineering!

  • Poor Response Time

    The issue:
Two servers setup with a BO cluster (BoxA and BoxB).
Content switch setup to round-robin users to BoxA or BoxB.  (E.g.: first
user request is sent to BoxA.   Second user request is sent to BoxB, etc.).
    Sticky bit is turned on.
When BoxA is running the CMS server, all requests sent to BoxA run
    perfectly.
Requests sent to BoxB have poor response time.  Our thought is that the
request gets sent to BoxB and then has to talk to BoxA for processing (since
this is the primary CMS server in charge).  The communication between the
two machines is causing a significant lag time.
Please advise on the best way to setup the server and the content switch
    to alleviate this issue.

    Hi Ray,
can you please check the priority order of the NICs on both your clusters?
    My Network Places->Properties->Advanced->Advanced Settings
Make sure that the NICs which the network traffic of the BOBJ cluster passes through get the highest priority. In your case choose one subnet you want to get your trafic through and set the highest priority for the NICs that connecte to the choosen subnet on both nodes.
If you have to change the order of the NICs then please restart the BO services on both nodes if possible.

  • Poor Response from hp support team

I bought following product in August 2011 from Lahore, Pakisan:
    Hp g6-1008tu
    Model # LQ439PA
    [serial number removed for privacy]
Since then i am having problem with laptop. Once HDD crashed which i got replaced. Then touch pad malfunctioned. I got it replaced as well. Now again after few months touch pad is causing severe problem. I fail to understand how a product can malfunction in such a short duration. The product is in waranty so its ok to get serviced but what will i do after waranty finishes? For a student its a big problem. I request you to please guide me and tell definitive solution for this. I will be grateful to you.
No one is helping me properly and the only thing now coming in mind is that neither I nor should i recommend anyone to buy hp product. This came just because  of poor response from hp.
    Regards,

what can i do to get this issue solved???

  • Poor response of LV 8.0.1 & DSC with RSLinx

    Hi,
I'm having some flakey problems with response times using LV DSC 8.0.1 reading shared variables connected to RSLinx 2.50.  The aim here is to see if LV DSC is sufficiently robust enough to use it as an HMI on a large project.  (I've previously used RSView32 without any mentionable problems on a 5000+ tag system)
    The arrangements are:
ControlLogix PLC running sample code being scanned via 100Mb Ethernet connection from RSLinx Gateway 2.50.00.20 (CPR7)
LabVIEW 8.0.1 with DSC module 8.0.1
Shared variables linked to RSLinx Gateway via Topic
Sample front panel with BOOL buttons, Double and BOOL indicators etc.
A second computer running Server Explorer 2.4.1 to look at OPC tags (SV) from the SV engine and RSLinx
OPC scan rates set to 100ms placing on scan about 30 tags (to use PLC parlance!)
After a few false starts largely to do with data types I have the systems running but am experiencing somewhat flakey performance comparing button presses to indicator illumination.
There seems to be a delay in relaying all types of data to the front panel of somewhere between 4-10seconds or more.  This has been confirmed by using RSLogix 5000 to look at the ladder code and RSLinx Data Monitor to monitor the PLC tags.  BOOL button writes are too quick to measure so I know it's not a problem of sending the information.  This response seems to be corrected by means of a reboot but not all the time!
Are there any Shared Variable issues with LabVIEW 8.0.1 and DSC 8.0.1 that are cured by a patch or by an upgrade to 8.2?
Can I monitor any performance parameters or memory use to helpl diagnose the problem?
    Thanks...Andy

Writing this purely for the record!
We found that the slowdown problem was random and was either non-existent or at maximum 14 seconds.  The problem was "cured" by moving the Shared Variable engine to another computer, leaving RSLinx running on the original computer.  There seemd to be no delay in 1-day of testing but I may be proved wrong!
Our architecture (which we'd intended to do) will therefore be RSLinx 2.50 on a Control server, LabVIEW DSC and the Shared Variable Engine on another.  Clients will then connect to the SVE to pull off HMI displays and to view data.

  • Jerky mouse, poor responses after installing OS 10.5.7

I installed OS 10.5.7 on my 20" iMac dual core Intel (3Gb RAM) about three weeks ago. Since then, I've noticed that the computer does many things poorly: Jerky mouse behavior, especially in Photoshop CS3 (but to a lesser extent in other programs), very slow to display the I/O directories when downloading an image from a reputable Web page (Stock.Xchng, MorgueFile, others), slow to open Applications Manager and other apps.
The worst offender is the Photoshop Jerky Mouse, which makes it almost impossible to do anything in PS. I have a hardwired MightyMouse, and it's brand new as of last week, but the same thing happened with the old mouse. This behavior seems to be the very worst after I've been downloading files from the Internet (almost always with Safari, but once in a while with Firefox). Sometimes, I purge the browser cache, and even dump the cookies, trying to figure out what might be lurking in the browser that affects PS.
Also, I have a second monitor, an Environ 19", which doesn't seem to produce any of it's own problems.
I have run the Disk Utilities a lot and turned off the iMac for long stretches (hours, overnight, and also 10 minutes here and there). Things seem to go fine when I start, but if I have any internet work, especially that involves downloading, I start to get the slow screen draws and the almost inevitable Photoshop Jerky Mouse behavior. (I've also tossed the PS Prefs.)
So: Is 10.5.7 dodgy? Is it a poor match for the Adobe Creative Suite 3 apps and for IDCS4 (a separate purchase from the full CS3 group)?
    Thank you.

I too am having similar problems. It occurs in the finder, in Illustrator, Photoshop, Safari, Mail, everywhere. Sometimes the mouse simply will not click, even after repeated tries. Trying to post this message I had to click several times on the link before it worked. Usually if I hold it down for several seconds it will register a click. It is particularly aggravating to click and drag on the desktop to select and move files only to have the selection be completely different than intended. This same issue in Illustrator is infuriating.
Yes, I have tried several different USB mice.
Yes, I have checked batteries (in the mice that need them).
Yes, I have updated to the latest software.
I do have a Wacom Intuos 2 Tablet and have had different issues with it. I have tried 6.1.1-2, 6.1.0-7 and 6.08-2. It doesn't matter which one I load, or if I remove them completely and reboot, the problems with my primary mouse remain. And, on top of that, the mouse for the Intuos 2 will just simply drop my left click after a random amount of time. In Illustrator I was trying to align a point to another and after getting it close it would simply drop the point. I tested this by looking at the light on the tablet, it turns green when clicked and orange when not. It was always green, not even a flicker of orange. I also tested this in the finder by resizing the bottom right of a window. While staring at the light on the tablet to be sure it was staying solid green, the finder just drops the click and stops resizing the window.
I remember back in the earlier Mac days and even Windows (what little experience I have with that) clicking a dozen or more times while the computer was too busy to process the request that the clicks all registered perfectly in space and were held in a cue until the processor could catch up. My point being that the clicks were precisely where you intended even though they had been cached and buffered. It seems that there is no longer any buffer cue for clicks. Precision has suffered.
I was experiencing similar effects under 10.5.7 but to a lesser degree. I just assumed that my mouse was going bad. But after upgrading to 10.5.8 and testing with several mice, it is clear that there is something wrong under the hood.

  • Xperia z1, too many problems and poor response from sony.

I thought Xperia z1 is best has sony made ever in every department but it's not. I'm very disappointed with sony's neglected response. I contacted sony 2 times but there is no response. also in support forum can't to get response sometimes. I agree with it is a best camera, yep in day light it's a best but in low light it's worse. z1 can't beat even Xperia c mid range phone. then why sony called z1 is a flagship. on white paper everything is good but practicaly it's not. I don't know what is the in z1 series. it freezes and screen getting black after that even restart button also didn't work sometimes,, 2) network issue 3) lowlight photography is worse compare to other high end smartphones.
performance is good but need new software update for optimisation.. I was very happy when I bought but now I'm dossapointed with sony neglect response. battery drains very fast also.

    I suggest you contact sony:

  • IOS 7 upgrade causes poor responsiveness

After upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 it's extremely slow and lacks responsiveness to the point I don't particularly like using it.
I'm being told I cannot move back to iOS 6 so my question is: Is there any solution for this problem other than just basically buying a new phone?
I thought it was safe to upgrade to iOS 7 but now I'm stuck with a limited product. Perhaps my assumption of upgrading this model to iOS 7 was wrong.

  • Poor response to Power-On button

In the last two weeks, the response to pressing the Power-On button have been inconsistent.
Frequently, when I depress the button, there is a single click sound, but the small light just above the power button doesn't illuminate, and about two seconds after I release the button, there is a second click. Nothing else seems to occur.
If I hold the button depressed, nothing seems to occur, and there is a second click heard some time after I release the button.
After perhaps going through this routine three times, the (correct?) response occurs: There is a click and the light illuminates as soon as I depress the button, I release the button promptly, and the computer goes through a standard-appearing start-up.
Today, I had to try about seven times before getting a start-up response.
Is this something I should be concerned about?
Best regards (and thank you in advance), Isshi.

Some anecdotes about USB devices that draw too much power come to mind. As an experiemnt, try disconnecting as many USB devices as possible, and try to start up. If the results are different, you may have to change what is plugged in the back (with a 1500 milliamp budget) and the front (with a 1000 milliamp budget) or look into getting a powered Hub or using a Hub in a display. Don't even think about the ports on the keyboard -- they have NO extra power available.

  • Apple Keyboard - one key has poor response

    Hi,
Over the last few days the CD tray key on my Apple keyboard has become less responsive. It still works, but you have to press it down very hard to make the CD tray open. I have removed the key and cleaned it but there is no change to the response.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Paul

This is caused by the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Update. They implemented a short delay so that you don't eject the CD accidentally.
I was also wondering why the CTRL-Eject command isn't working anymore. You just have to press the key a bit longer.

  • Poor Response Time- Total on a column for n number of rows

I have a table with column cost on my custom OAF page.
When I query for configuration it returns me many rows. so I have set the default rows for table = 10 and then I neatly have next button to go to other rows.
I have enabled totalling on cost column.
Row for Total appears showing sum for the costs only on that page( for only 10 rows). I click for next from drop down , and I see total for the costs for the second page.
    Ex:
    table has 17 rows and
    page 1 :
total row at the end saying 1000.00
    page 2 :
    total = 1500.00
I want to display Total Cost by summing up the costs for say 300 items returned by the query on all the pages , in above case 2500.00.
    I thought of a way to do it ;
I added a sumVO with query "select sum(...) from table" .
Added a new region in my page , added a messageStyleText based on the sumVO, and pulled the total cost in.
It shows me the right result, but my problem is performance.
It is getting very slow. I am using the same query as for displaying the results in table, but summing on cost column.
Can I avoid writing the sum query and do it programmatically in OAF ??
    Thanks in advance.

Even if you use programmatic approach, what do you think program will do?
Program has to fetch all the rows in the middle tier and sum it up using for loop. No way its going to solve your problem.
First find out the reason for the slow performance using Trace option. and fix the query.
If your not able to fix it, try materialized view for the summation query.
To take sql trace for OAF page refer this link infor http://prasanna-adf.blogspot.com/2009/01/sql-trace.html

  • Synchronous RFC -- SOAP Scenario: problem with SOAP Response/Fault Mapping

    Hi,
I've a synchronous RFC --> PI --> SOAP Scenario. The problem is that the message structure of the sending RFC doesn't match the Webservice Structure.
The (SAP standard) RFC has just a Request / Response message structure. Part of the Response Message structure is a exception structure.
The Webservice has a Request / Response message structure and in case of an error I get a SOAP:Fault.
Problem now is that I cannot configure that scenario without usage of BPM as I will have to map SOAP:Response or SOAP:Fault to the RFC Response structure.
Has anybody another idea to do that synchronous scenario (with usage of message mapping) without BPM?
    BR
    Holger

    1)
    you maus define 3 mapping.
    1)request
    2)response
    3)Fault
in Interface mapping define at response boths (2-3) mapping. its clear??
    2)
otherwise sometjhing is not clear, why do you want fault?? why dont you  get only response message. we implement this kind of response:
    <response_MT>
    <ID> (error ID)
    <system> (target system)
    <error> (Error Description)
    </response>
by this way fault message is not needed. but if you must have it just follow the top of message else, propose second.
    Thanks
