Poor Text When Exporting in Muse

When I do a preview or an export the text becomes very poor from what it looks like when i'm working within Muse.  I did look online to see if others had this issue and it sounds like it was a problem years ago when Muse was BETA and i'm wondering if thats still not fixed.  Any help will be appreciated.

In case it makes any difference i'm using Windows 7.

  • Repeating row texts when exporting web report to Excel

    Dear all,
When exporting a web report (including a structure/hierarchy) to Excel (via the 'export to excel button), the row texts (e.g. balance sheet texts) appear twice (column A and B)in the Excel result.
When using the web context menu 'Export to Excel' this issue does not occur.
I am using a BW 3.5 system which has been upgraded to support pack 16.
I assume it is the combination of the structure and the 'export to excel' functionality that does not match up, because when I switch off the hierarchy functionality in the web report query properties, the export to excel does not give me any problems.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Arjan.

Did you write that software, COTS package called Medgate?
If not then ask that company for support. No one here would know how to fix it. They are using the CR RDC report engine.
    Thank you

  • Anti-aliased text when exporting PDF to image

I need to be able to batch-convert multi-page PDFs to individual bitmap images (one image for each page) with anti-aliased text.
Photoshop works this way if you open a single PDF, allowing you to select one or more pages to rasterize as separate images, but not when batch processing (specifically, if you use the Image Processor script on a folder of images and PDFs, it will rasterize the PDFs automatically, but it will only do so with the first page of each PDF.)
Acrobat, on the other hand, automatically creates an image for each page when exporting, and can do this in a batch sequence, but the text is not anti-aliased, making the image look like a screenshot from 1997. No matter how high an image resolution you select, the text is still jagged when you zoom in.
So, is there a setting I'm missing that will allow the text to be anti-aliased when using Acrobat to export PDF to an image? I am using Acrobat 8, not 9, so something might have changed in the newest version.

Not sure about Acrobat Pro 8, but in Acrobat Pro 9 (not Extended) you can Export>Image>Multiple Choice: JPEG, JPEG2000, PNG, TIFF.  I used JPEG and under the options in the export dialog box, leave the filename as is to coincide with the PDF filename and then choose Maximum Resolution under File Settings: Grayscale (JPEG, Quality:Maximum); Color (JPEG, Quality:Maximum) . . . skip down to Conversion Colorspace: Determine Automatically and Resolution choose 600pixels/inch for a letter size document.  This will result in a file size of 1.3MB per JPEG image if there is not a lot of information on the page.  I chose a simple header, footer with page numbering, and 5 lines of Lorem Ipsum text.  600dpi is overkill, you can go for 300dpi and still result in a decent image that will be able to be printed on a laser photocopier that is connected to a production computer.  Obviously if you are printing to a laser printer or a high quality inkjet 300dpi will suffice as well for a letter sized document.  But I have been told that 300dpi is not a standard rule of thumb and you must obtain specs from your printer since he/she can calculate by very strict rules the dpi you need for your content.  It depends on whether you have background images such as watermarks and also if your text body contains line-art.

  • APEX 4.Loosing translatable text when exporting/importing to new workspace

    Hi everyone,
I am developing a bilingual application (base English translated to french) and I noticed something weird when exporting/importing to another workspace.
First, my application is flagged as requiring synchronization after an import. Yes, I did check that it was not flagged right before the export. I did choose Export Translations.
Secondly, when I look at the translated application in the new workspace, my Region Names are not translated anymore (in english instead of french). When I cmpare the 2 Translation Repositories (using the Manually Edit Translation Repository) I lost all Region Names entries (Column Description = Region name).
Thirdly, when again comparing the 2 Translation Repositories, I have the same number of Strings and Distinct Strings by if I group by Column Descriptions the sub-totals differ and I don't even have the same distinct Column Descriptions.
My test was done with my development workspace and a test workspace (where I deleted all application prior to my test) in the same instance.
    Anybody had these problems?
    Thanks all
I am using 4.1.1.00.23 on the Oracle Database 11g Express Edition.

    Hi there,
Well....I guess "they lied" would be me, huh?
Unfortunately, this is a bug. This issue with region titles was first reported in Bug in 4.1.1: Region Title translations is lost I recorded it as Bug 13801807 - REGION TITLE TRANSLATIONS LOST WHEN IMPORTING AS A NEW APPLICATION ID. It's fixed in APEX 4.2.
    I hope this helps.

  • Rendered text looks OK in premiere pro, but is poor quality when exported - why?

I have done a nice text animation in after effects.  Just a simple character by character fade on.
It looks good in AE, and when I import and preview it in Premiere Pro, it looks equally nice.
However, when I export it to a (high bit rate WMV), it looks poor and blocky.
All the other non-animated text looks fine.    Why is this happening?
    (I have CS3)

Well, with the information to hand I'm out of ideas.  I'd need more data to go further.  If you'd care to upload the export, I can take a look here, see what you see.

  • How do I preserve cross reference text when exporting to XML?

I am exporting my Framemaker documents to XML. However, when I open the raw XML, the reference formatting is obviously gone. So instead of seeing, say,  see Figure 6. I now see, see .
Is there some way to preserve this on export?
    Help would be much appreceated!

    Josh,
The normal behavior is to have an empty element with the ID/IDRef markup that allows the xref element to be resolved again afterwards, by whatever post-processing step you put the XML through. The text of a cross-reference is a FrameMaker formatting artifact (not unlike a paragraph format, etc.) and is intentionally discarded during export. If you reimport the XML with the empty element, FM will re-resolve the xref, and then will restore the text using whatever format it originally had (the format name is also stored as markup).
If you want to preserve the element tag of the xref, I don't think there is any way to preserve the text, unless you write an import/export API client. You could possibly use an XSLT stylesheet to repopulate the text in some cases, but this seems like a process fraught with many complications.
If you do not care about the element tag, the manual says that you can just unwrap it, then you'll get the xref text. Here is a (rough) snip from the Structure Developers Guide:
Translating FrameMaker cross-reference elements to text in markup
You may not want your FrameMaker cross-reference elements to remain elements in the
markup representation—you can choose to translate them to text instead. To do so, use
    this rule:
    fm element "fmtag" unwrap;
where fmtag is the FrameMaker element tag for a cross-reference element.
All of this does beg the following question, though... why do you want to do this, especially if the text is referencing figure numbers, page numbers, etc. that have no relevance in the markup? Normally, it is expected that preservation of the markup is the essential thing, allowing the text to be regenerated later by whatever process uses the XML (perhaps including FM). If you drop the element tag, the actual link will be permanently lost.

  • Very poor quality when exporting slideshow

I am using a Canon 5D, and when I view the images in Full screen. They are gorgeous. I created a slideshow. When I play the slideshow in Aperture - again they are gorgeous and crisp, however when I export these images to a Quicktime movie they look blurry - almost like they were taken with a regular point and shoot.
    I have selected Export > HD 720p
I understand that slideshows are generated from previews, so I went to Aperture > Preferences > Previews and selected Photo Preview > Don't limit & for Photo Preview Quality I selected 12 (high).
I kept the 2 selections that were there on default selected (these are: new projects automatically generate previews, and use embedded JPEG from camera whenever possible)
Then I selected all of the images in the slideshow, and when I right clicked and selected "Update Previews" I received the message saying that the previews were already up to date. I exported the slideshow - and the quality was still poor.
I then tried to update the previews from the items in the individual libraries themselves instead of selecting the images in the Slideshow (hoping that would make a difference), and tried to update the previews. But I got the same error.
What am I missing? Why am I seeing excellent quality when I preview the slideshow when I click the Full Screen play button - but when I export it to 720p HD it looks horrendous.
    Please help!

FTF you need to hold down the alt key when selecting the images and choose generate preview. The update preview option maintains previous settings. Using alt/option creates a new preview.
Second HD720p is still significantly below the resolution of your display so the images will look softer.
But try the previews first and post back.

  • Can't select text when export in HTML and Images

I am entirely new to Fireworks and I can't find anyone to teach me Adobe Fireworks. I followed some youtube tutorials but most of them are vague. I am still figuring the way to export from Fireworks to Dreamweaver, without affecting its contents like bitmap images and the text. When I export in HTML and Images format and opened the htm file, I can't select the text I've inserted in Fireworks. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

I cant scroll below or above viewable section of text in any of my Macbooks, iMac, Mac Mini. Never have been able to, never could, except by pressing the arrow keys whilst selecting, to move up or down.
    Its stupid
I dont have flash installed (never will do since my first virus of video ad sound running in background from Cnet was downloaded and kept returning until i deinstalled flash).
I believe that this is a universal issue because none of my Macs can scroll out of screen when selecting text, which as a webmaster and developer, is a pain in the butt
My issue is not in word documents, its in everything

  • What's with the poor quality when exporting a presentation to iDVD

When I exported I choose high resolution preference. The presentation ran perfectly in Keynote, but when I exported it to iDVD it looked horrible- like low res- the same when I burned it onto a DVD just as a test. Also, when I tried another route- exporting to Powerpoint it saved the file as .pps? What is that? None of my others have done that.
    G4 Powerbook 17in   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I have iDVD 6 and I exported it - high quality to iDVD. Is that what you mean by iDVD feature?
I read on this discussion something about the slide resolution. I discovered when I first set up the show my resolution was 800x600 and I haven't found a way to change it. I am ready to begin again and set my slide res to the maximum and copy, paste, and resize all my text to fit- then export again. LOTS OF WORK! but I am not sure how else I can resolve this.

  • Another issue (bold text when exporting)

Guys, my text is going bold when I export to PDF.
I've tried everything, bringing the text to the front, putting the text on a separate layer and putting that layer at the top.
It's due to a small transparent logo on each page, which I can't afford to lose.
I've searched and what I've done above seems to solve the problem, but it's not for me!
    Any other suggestions?

What i've done is put the image back in Photoshop and put a slight background around it which is the same colour as it's background in InDesign.
This seems to have sorted it!
The reason I went away from that method beforehand is because I thought that was what was causing the Yucky Discoloured Box.  Obviously from the link you gave me in the other thread it's a printer issue!

  • Shaky text when export slides to DVD

I am using Keynote 3 for my slideshow. When I export the slideshow to iDVD, then import to iMovie to add the music I created in GarageBand then burn in iDVD, some of the text shakes when viewing on my widescreen tv.
Any suggestions for the text to improve quality or is something malfunctioning when I'm exporting/rendoring/burning the project????
    PowerBookG4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

you could try changing the size of the text, or moving it up or down a pixel or two. Also, what color is the text? Tv's don't like pure white, so if it's white, you might want to make it like 90% (10% grey) instead of white.

  • Poor quality when exporting to MOV (H264/AAC) with CS5 and CS5.5

    Hi there,
I need to export my HDV sequence (1440*1080 Pixel 1,33 25fps) using HDV footage only to MOV format (with H264 / AAC codecs).
I'm using 1024*576 (1.0) SD preset with a correct video bitrate CBR 6mbs and the Quality is awful.
When I use the H264 format ( to get a .MP4 file) with the same preset (1024*576 square pixel >> CBR 6mbs) the quality is quite good. I 'm pretty happy with that. The only thing is that my client (TV) needs the clip in MOV format (including H264/AAC codecs) and the quality is awful. They expect me to use FCP as most of the journalists here in France use this application.
    I tried with PREMIERE CS5 on a PC (windows 7 64 bits) >> 8G0 RAM, Dual Core
and with PREMIERE PRO CS5.5 on a mac
Same awful result when trying to export to MOV (H264/AAC).
I heard that PREMIERE can't properly export to this format? Is this correct? If so, i need to convince my client to use only MP4 (H264/AAC) files since I don't really wanna use Final Cut Pro or Media Composer to edit and export my clip.
    Any tips ?
    Thanks guys.
    Julien

I had similar quality issues exporting H264 from PPro vs. Avid Media Composer.  CHeck out this thread link http://forums.adobe.com/thread/854379?tstart=0.
I found it pretty helpful, it also links to another reference thread.
I think it's possible, but will take a bit of trial and error.
    Good luck

  • Poor quality when exporting Explain Everything Video

    Hi There,
I've created some videos in using the "Explain Everything" App on my iPad. When I save the videos to my iPad camera roll and play them back they look fantastic.  When I emailed the videos to myself and opened them up in my MacBook, the quality is quite poor (blurry).  The same thing was true when I tried to open the emailed file back onto the same iPad it was originally created on.
I'm hoping to be able to take these good quality videos and insert them into Final Cut Pro.
Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I know nothing about it, but is any help available here?

  • Poor Quality when Exported for DVD

    Hi,
I am creating a dvd of some animations, and the animations are videos of what were originally all vector shapes and text. The videos were originally made with After Effects, at 720x480, NTSC preset. I can export from after effects at full-scale with with no problems, but once the comp tries to go into NTSC mode (where it squishes it to 640x480) the whole thing becomes ruined. All text becomes illegible and many vector objects get jagged edges.
I have tried exporting from after effects as well as bringing it into final cut pro and using compressor at 2-pass (Best Quality 90 min DVD preset), and no matter what I do the resulting video is always horribly deformed... Any idea what I need to do differently?
    thank you.

    thank you for your help.
I am viewing this on a computer display. I've been switching between a powerbook and a g5 with cinema display.
In AE I typically use apple animation codec, but I have also been trying it as an uncompressed avi and and uncompressed quicktime. By bringing the file directly from AE to compressor and changing from vbr 2-pass to One Pass CBR it has greatly improved the quality, still it does have some pixelation that I can't get rid of, even at the full 9mbps bitrate.
My understanding was that I wasn't bringing it into square pixels that I was using the DVCPRO/NTSC preset which formats it to a 4:3 ratio (which is what I think Final Cut also is doing), either way, by not doing that in After Effects, and by changing to CBR it is definately an improvement.
One more thing I should probably mention is that the videos are actually programs I have written and so they are being captured using a screen-capture to video utility called iShowU. The program seems to be good, and I am using an NTSC preset.
Any ideas as to what I can do to get these to as good of quality as their apple animation quicktimes?
the dvds I am assembling are only about 45 minutes.
