POP email loading Old Messages, and not most recent messages: (not Gmail)
Hi,
I'm having an issue where my iPhone is loading old emails instead of the most recent ones on the server. I see the messages download in outlook (leave message on server). But my iPhone will download the most recent message for awhiel and it will stop.
I have it set to display 25 messages. It used to always download the most recent messages and push the old messages out. (i'd have to hit download 25 more to see more). But now it no longer does this. Also, when i delete a few messages, it downloads some messages, but not the most recent ones. Also tried completely deleteing the account and starting over. But after it fills up, the same thing happens. It worked fine for a few weeks, then it started having this problem.
I've tried deleting all email, but eventually it fills up and then starts doing the same thing.
Thoughts and help would be appreciated.
Those messages which iphone can't get are Junk mails..
First remove the account,
Go to Setting/mail and choose "show 50 or more recent messages".
Add your account again.
go back to mail settings
choose your account at the top of add account...
go to advanced
below the deleted messages
remove... choose "after one day"
under the incoming setting, delete from server choose "7 days" (which is quite enough time to keep)..
Thats all.. Fixed on my phone..
This phone is not your real mailbox. Use it to check only or respond After that delete them...
Don't keep your mails in it. Use Mail, Entourage or Outlook etc..

How to have email conversation take on appearance of most recent message?
I've setup a variety of email rules to change the background colour of messages based on a particular header field. Basically, messages are coloured red, orange, yellow, or green, depending on their state in a workflow.
The problem is that collapsed conversations seem to take the background colour of the first message in the conversation, not the last (most recent message).
Is it possible to have the collapsed conversation take on the appearance of the most recent message?Hi
Perhaps you could use an on-demand application process instead - you can specify these in the URL.
The URL syntax (for your link) would be like...

Iphoto and facebook - most recent photos not showing up in file upload!!
on iphoto, all the photos are fine and the most recent photos i import are in the recent import folder like they should be. i'm trying to upload a new profile picture to facebook but when i go to file upload and then click on iphoto to find the picture, it's not there, along with the rest of the recently imported photos. the most "recent photos" when i go to file upload are photos i imported from september 24, 2009 and i have imported a bunch of pictures after that date that aren't showing up when i go to file upload. i already tried rebuilding my library and all that but it didn't do anything. help?
I just started having this same problem. New events are not appearing in the media browser section of the file upload window. The last event to show up is from October 12th. I tried several different websites and browsers.
They are fine in iPhoto and the files show up in the "All Images" section of the Finder. -
Keep getting a pop up at the top of many websites I visit 'firefox security error content at *web address* may not load" I am using the most recent firefox and windows 7. This is happening at many sites, such as hotmail, google reader, and many others.
Sorry, I don't think that is a message from inside Firefox, the wording doesn't sound correct - at least the beginning of that message. My "gut" thinks that is a MSN Live message to explain and compensate for their lack of security with a re-direct from a secure domain to an un-secure domain. ''(the end of that message)''
{Ctrl + Shft + J} will open the Firefox Error Console - I'm curious what Firefox has to say about that situation. If you find the error message for that domain, you can right-click the message to '''copy''' it and then paste that error message here.
Maybe '''TonyE''' or '''cor-el''' will be more familiar with the situation at Live and maybe at Google Reader, I don't use either of those services and have never seen a message like that myself. -
Why is it that when I go to the search screen and type in a particular message I want to view, my iPhone finds it but when I click on it it only takes me to the conversation at the most recently thing texted and not the particular message I clicked on?
Never occurred to me you can search messages that way, thanks.
Another way to do it is to scroll from the most recent message to the top of the screen and tap load more messages, repeatedly till you reach the one you want.
I like your method better, but with both methods it refreshes to the most recent message. -
I upgraded to a 4g and the most recent backup (today) is not showing up. The most recent backup that showed was 3/3/12. I went ahead and backed up to that date and found that my texts, phone calls and messages are the part that did not backup.
Can anyone tell me 1) why my most recent backup did not show in ITunes, 2) why I could not backup using the Cloud (I tried this way first), 3) how I can get all the phone calls, messages and texts from 3/3/12 until today? Please help if you can...thanks!I found the answer on:

I want to change my icloud id on my iPhone, but it won't let me now that i have upgraded. I no longer have the password and the problem is It is using an old id which the email isn't valid and the security question does not think my birthday is valid. I cannnot delete the account because "find my iphone" wants the password linked to this old account. But when i go into the find my iphone app it is using my corect Apple ID. How do i fix this?
If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/). -
Mail 7.0 Does Not Default to Most Recent Message?
With Mail 7.0 and OS 10.9, I'm no longer looking at my most recent messages when I open the Mail app.
Why is this, and what can I do to fix it?Ive quit Mail, restarted my computer. Updated whatever there was to update and its still the same.

I get a date stamp and the sender icon/avatar but thats about it - see first screen shot - however, I can mouse over the reply action part of the message window and the action buttons appear. Sadly, the content of the message does not appear when I mouse over. -
Help, I have just restored my iphone from last back up to retrieve vital messages that somehow disappeared. Now I have lost the most recent messages, calendar details and photos. How do I get them back?
I have an iPhone 5SYou restore from the backup that contained them.
Restoring from a backup is all or nothing. It completely overwrites the data in the phone when you restore. You can not combine the contents of a backup with what's currently on your phone. -
hello..when I download attachments from any email..iPages opens and says some features are not supported and cuts out photos and lengthens my attachments
What format are the attachments? If Pages will not display them properly you will need an application that does. Pages usually opens word documents but can give problems at times, if they are MS Word documents, try Libre Office or failing that you may have to purchase MS Word for Mac, maybe you will need to buy the complete Office suite.
The other possiblity is that you already have a suitable application and Pages is loading the file by default, if so change the default application to open that file type. -
My iPhone 4 will not sync my new voice memos from the "Voice Memos" app to my computer. This is frustrating, should not be so hard, can someone please help. I use PC with windows 7 with iPhone version 6.1.3 and iTunes most recent. Thanks.
In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

Sure, you can get around it if you don't need the newest version of iTunes. I still use version 7.5 because the newer versions didn't strike me as offering anything I needed.
If you do need a version 10-something then you will have to upgrade your operating system to Leopard (fi your computer will support it) at least. If you need 10.5 for some reason then there's no getting around it, you will have to buy a new computer. -

Reset the devices: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.
