POP mail box lists no messages (1900+ shold be there)

I have a situation in which a mailbox displays no messages at all, yet shows a count of more than 1900. Web mail reveals the messages are, indeed, received. The "Rebuild" option is greyed-out for this Inbox. Suggestions?

Did you upgrade to Tiger from Jaguar or Panther on this Mac?
Anything else within the account's INBOX.mbox folder at the Finder level besides a Messages folder and an Info.plist file?
Since you are running Tiger, something else to try.
Quit Mail first and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail. Copy the Mail folder and place the copy on the Desktop for backup purposes.
Using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > Envelope Index. Delete the Envelope Index file and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and you will be prompted to import all mailboxes available within the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail.
Select OK and allow the import process to complete. This isn't really importing anything but replacing the deleted Envelope Index file and re-indexing all messages in all mailboxes.
After confirming all mailboxes and messages within are available, you can delete the copy of the Mail folder placed on the Desktop.
Check if this resolves the problem.

While setting up my e-mail i somehow managed to open 3 mail boxes in the messaging folder, the one i ment, "aol" plus two others "aol01" and "aol02", they don't have a delete button in the options menu.

Go to MESSAGING, press OPTIONS, SETTINGS then EMAIL. Once there, MAILBOXES. Now you should be able to list all your accounts. Select the one you want, press OPTIONS, delete.

Smart Mail Box that contains messages not in any other smart mail box

Hopefully the subject says it all. Is it possible to create a smart mail box that display messages NOT IN any other smart mail box?

In Mail, create a new Smart Mailbox. Make sure the matching is set to "all".
In the conditions, you will notice that if you choose "Message is not in Mailbox" does not list the other Smart Mailboxes. It doesn't on mine at least. However, if you choose "Message is in Mailbox" it DOES list the Smart Mailboxes. So here's what you need to do:
Create a condition for each Smart Mailbox you have, and choose the "Message is in Mailbox" and choose each Smart Mailbox. Once you have them listed, go back and change each of the conditions to "Message is not in Mailbox". It still accepts the Smart Mailbox name.
I tried it and it works on my system. Give it a go.

Go to MESSAGING, press OPTIONS, SETTINGS then EMAIL. Once there, MAILBOXES. Now you should be able to list all your accounts. Select the one you want, press OPTIONS, delete.

Upgraded to FF4, Have windows 7, everytime I click on FF4 to go online, I get pop-up box with error message [Javascript: application] Typeerror: Components.classes[cid] is undefined...when I click OK it lets me online but this is a pain

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Why is there no box to switch languages? Just because I live in Thailand doesn't mean that I read and write in Thai. Please include a language box to switch languages at the front end of download pages and other places as needed.

Only Apple could answer as to why there is no "select all/"delete all" function in the iOS mail app. Users have been bemoaning this lack of functionality for years now. Like everyone else, you can submit feedback to. Apple here.

While I understand the whole idea of being able to use the phone on the run, if you have an IMAP email account, and if you have access to a computer at work during the day, use your "select all" function on the server and delete all of the unwanted email there and it will be removed from the phone as well.
That doesn't solve the problem on the phone, but it gets rid of the email which is your ultimate goal anyway.

Mail boxes keep disappearing.

All my mail box lists keep disappearing in the window to the left in Mail. Nothing to do with the "hide" button. If I quit mail and restart the mail boxes reappear, but after a few times leaving the application running in the background while doing something else, the boxes disappear again. Only started happening in the last few days. Any ideas?

Mail Crashing On New Message

Hi,
10.4.7 running on G5 iMac. Mail has suddenly started to crash with the selection of File> New> Message. Reply, Forward and the New Message button all have stopped working. It will recieve mail just fine. I have rebuilt each mail box, deleted old messages. No Luck. Is there a way to re install Mail?

Well, you shouldn't have reinstalled Mail. Now that you have done it, you're going to proceed as follows before attempting anything else.
Verify/repair your disk first (not just permissions), as described here:

After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, reinstall the latest system update using the Combo installer, to bring the Mail application back in sync with the rest of the system:

Take a look at the following articles for guidelines on how to properly install system updates:

Installing software updates
Basically, you should verify/repair the boot volume before installing the update, and no applications should be running while installing it.
Post back with your observations when done (the above won't fix your problem, but we cannot proceed further until you've done it).

Pop-Up Boxes in JSP

hiya...another quick thing...how do i get pop-up boxes giving error messages or whatever in jsp...for example if a field is blank and it shouldn't be then a pop-up box should tell them
can this be done in jsp? or would i need ot use javascript?

when writing javascript just ignore the jspp part and write your code as if there weren't any jsp code, once all the fields are validated then the form will be submitted and that s the point where jsp comes in.

Auto email is triggered to our mail box when there is Bdoc error

If any Inbound and Outbound queues are having the error( Bdoc errors) Auto email need to be trigger to Mail Box.
Please let me know is there any standard setting is there otherwise how to fulfill this requirement.

Mail messages in my In Box are not appearing in the list of messages.

Mail: SOME mail messages in my In Box are not appearing in the list of messages. Instead, there's a blank line in its place if already read, or just the blue dot if unread. But when I click on the line, the message's column/header detail appears (and I can open it).
(Coincidental or not, immediately prior to this situation, I established a New Rule that mail coming from my son's email address should be Moved to the IN Box as they had been going to Trash. None of the emails I'm questioning have any reference to his email address in them.)

Continuation of info (from GDTGG): When I leave that mail message and click on a different one, the blank line marking its place once again appears for the message. (There was a similar problem posted by someone else in 2009 entitled "Inbox Has Blank Lines" but with no apparent solution that I could find.)
